Searched all around the tree but couldn’t see anything. Found some likely hiding holes though!
A fantastic sunny warm winter's day and the perfect opportunity for a short river walk. Cache soon spotted. Thanks.

Out for a quite evening walk around the river and beach area today, shame not to attempt to pick up some caches along the way.
This was our first cache of the day and was quickly spotted.
Logged and returned to found location. I did wonder however if given the flood protection in the area, that perhaps it used to be higher?
Cheers

Cache found fairly quickly. Had to wait for a few muggles to pass before we could grab and sign it. Cool spot!
Found with Trayc.g, logging now as I have my own account. TFTC I turned 7 this day and wanted to do a cache as part of my birthday day.
Day 14 of our school holiday streak! Also my Miss junior cacher's 7th Birthday. Decided to have a little drive out to Waitara for a hunt. 3rd cache we've visited today and finally have a smiley! Will have to come and try again with other caches another day. TFTC
rain getting heaver and river brown and high, a quick find and a lovely spot, TFTC
Up in the 'Naki with MacGyverson for a few days to catch up with friends and geocache as we go - really enjoying seeing some new ground. parked up nearby and walked to GZ where after looking at a couple of trees we found the cache, signed the log and left as found. Thanks for the placement JayDubENT.
I decided a trip to Waitara was required for this visit to New Plymouth and i was luck that the day set aside was such a glorious day!after an extremely wet day yesterday! After two DNF it was a relief to locate this one thanks mostly to the hint although i wouldn't want chn looking for this one . so it was soon retrieve, signed and replaced. This is a rather nice walk way that has been put in here along the river side. Thank you for this cache and another smiley face,
Nice easy find with no issues.
Came out to Waitara while staying with Mum to collect 2degrees data hunt points for younger daughter. Had to get smilies too!!!
Mum was born and raised in Waitara - one of the last on the old maternity home a few doors down from the new one (probably more the ancient and old - both look like they are now family homes now). Drove past her old home - when we came last year it was a shabby shack and now that has been cleared away and a new home built. Remember staying with Nana - two front bedrooms, kitchen, dining lounge at the back with an add-on lean-to type laundry and bathroom. Was fascinated with the washing batching - just a step up from one with the mangle, - had to transfer clothes from one side to the other to spin and it didn't hold much. We had a modern one - much like today's.
Thanks for the smilie and the memories.

28/11/16 19:20 After a food drop nearby, a cache was called for. Didn't realise I could've made it a park 'n grab so enjoyed the short walk in the breeze. Unfamiliar territory for me and the river seemed to be at high water mark. Cool... Thanks for this, Cheers, GC.
Out and about with my shipmate 2 Bull bars heading for some treasure at spot X and the Pirates stash, this one was on the way. Ship mate had done this before so it was up to me to to get close to ground zero in the landy, and then quickly find the cache. thats a nice wee drop off close by. But of course it's Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. Thanks for the cache from Blenheim Bear!

GPS took me the long way home after the Mega. Finding lots of good caches along the way. TFTF
I started me stroll from the local supermercado
And down by the riverside,
it must have been a good day for whitebait,
every man and his dog had the nets out
Fortunately none too close to GZ,
so the cache was quickly in me net

a whitebaiter was almost sitting on the cache, went back when he had gone home, thanks for the cache
Accidentally moved what was covering it and spotted the bright blue clips straight away. Thanks!

Getting to this cache was simple (and a pleasant river walk too), - but actually getting it was a bit of a challenge for me!! Managed it safely though. TFTC
After an afternoon quilting nearby I went for a stroll and grabbed a couple of caches. Bit of a stretch to grab this one but soon in hand. TFTC
Found nicely hidden on a dull overcast day and not a muggle in sight. Just a quick p&g. tftc
Only muggles about were the Taranaki Dragons, having a row on the river. Awesome afternoon for it. Thanks for the cache!
Found on a round trip via North Taranaki with Gnome62. Nice hide, do heed the previous warning about young kids getting too close to edge, was too close for me too. Luckily the spritely Gnome sorted it. Left a diamond, thanks for the cache.
Quick find. Had to be brave putting my hand in there, eeek! No muggles around today.
First cache my daughter found. Will have to come back and sign log book as we forgot the pen. Thanks JayDubENT
After a few dnf today the daughter was stoked to find this one. Great to have another cache in waitara. And one we walk past frequently! Thanks
