Thought we’d give this one a crack. We looked really hard to locate this one with no luck, we are thinking it might unfortunately be missing, we also had a good search in the wider area, checked hints and previous logs for clues with no joy.

No luck for us today. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. Thanks for bringing us here regardless.
Today we are making our way towards Rocky as Diane as some work to do there on Monday and of course we aren't in a screaming hurry so we will be stopping and picking up as many caches on the way across as we can.
We were quite surprised when we pulled up here to find a bitumen step and taxiways and can only assume that this has been put in for The Royal Flying Doctor service. Happily the area wasn't in use today and we were free to search . This one did take a little while to locate but we did manage to add our name to the log.
Thanks for a quick break in the drive and for showing us the Alpha airport.

Travelling with Geospark62. We found a similar hiding spot the other day somewhere between Winton and here. TFTC
Quick find here today. Smallest airport ever seen. Saw a waterhole on the way out.
Bit lost for starters but searched around and came with the goods logging with DeafCat, Deafphantom and DutchAus
Good coords took us directly to this one. All in perfect condition.
After five nights staying at the Showgrounds in Jericho overnight, and caching madly most days, we have hooked up the van again and are continuing our travels. A few days in Emerald where the car will be getting a service, and then who knows. That’s as far as our plans go.
Of course, we can’t just drive down a highway-not if there’s caches to be found. Great work by all the local CO’s for nicely breaking our journey with lots of lovely yellow smilies. Your efforts are appreciated, thank you all very much.

Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there and done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So, sorry for the generic and late log.JABs.The full story can be found herehttps://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=c74de4cf-b59f-4ee4-9b5a-63ff0fc061ea
We stopped by here on our way to Longreach. This was a very quiet place today. Cache found and log signed and used the restroom. Thanks for the cache Nedandmrskelly.
Having driven past this place many times today was the day to stop.
Note to self: dresses and heels are not the best caching attire lol. After a short hunt cache was soon in hand thanks for placing and maintaining Nedandmrskelly

Day ten of my outback Queensland trip and the plan today is to arrive in Emerald by night time, via the towns of Jericho, Alpha, Sapphire, Rubyvale and Anakie. Continuing with my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day and collecting a few more for the day. I do have a list of caches that I do want to collect along the way and probably some extras as I see fit.
Caching on my own again and am enjoying the time and adventures that comes with that. Though most of the caches were easy finds, some did give me a smile and I saw some familiar name in the logs, was I following?
This cache was an easy find and in good condition. With the log signed and cache returned as found, it was onto the next one. Thank you for placing it here, I really enjoyed the drive around this area today.

Day 14 of my trip north from Adelaide in search of some warmer weather and a few caches.
After camping last night at Jericho, today I traveled to Emerald, with a side trip up to Sapphire and Rubyvale.
I spent a bit of time in and around Alpha hunting out some of the caches in this Alpha series with mixed results.
Unfortunately this was one of the DNFs despite a good search.

Day 8 on our road trip to QOGM 2019 at Blackall and today we make our way from Alpha to Blackall. We had a great day making our way around the area and enjoying the fairly quiet roads along the way. Thanks so much to the COs for placing the caches here for our enjoyment.
After staying at Emerald for a couple of days we were on the way towards Blackall via Alpha. Due to the number found the logs will be generic. Thank you to all CO's who placed the caches. Cache found and signed log. TFTC

Grey Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Now travelling west towards Barcaldine for TheLongestLine (of RVs) World Guinness Record attempt. BRC is very proactive in gaining greynomads to visit. This is one of their attempts. Geocaching is another. This is one of many in the BRC for us to attempt
Just like a miner, we FIFO this one. Quick easy find at the airport. Thanks Nedandmrskelly

Hi there Nedandmrskelly.
We found your cache **"Alpha 18"** at 10:09:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 20297).
We started the day off by nominating a cache near Alpha, and then took a route that was mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
We found 21 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

This is the last cache in Alpha for us. A big thanks to the CO for taking us to so many local features. Especially Nola at the Information Center. What a great lady who we have spoken to on both our visits.
Had a great time, visited trackables.

Found while on my way to Jericho for a mornings geocaching. A quick find to start my day off with. TFTC.
Following a very early morning walk and then another before morning tea, we later set out in the car to try and clean up all the caches in town. So far we have them all except one and the Earth cache, but the day isn't over yet. Still the trickiest to go, but I'm not giving up! Thanks to NedandMrsKelly for the wonderful variety of hides and caches. All logs were signed though some as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.
After overnighting in Alpha I made an early start, collecting a few more Alpha series caches around town then more as I headed west My final diversion a short way out of town. Found in the first place I looked TFTC Nedandmrskelly

TFTC. We are camped at Jericho Showgrounds for a week. Today was a lovely day to go for a drive and attempt the many caches in Alpha. We dnf’d 3 aches and did not attempt another one due to muggles. All in all a great day.
This day started out with picking up a few more of the Alpha series that either we did not pick up yesterday because of the muggle factor or we simply had not looked for it.
None was difficult to locate today and after doing the signing we soon headed off again. Thanks go to Nedandmrskelly for this series and to sandshoo3 for maintaining the caches.

#139 We didn't have our passports with us but we still managed to travel to the right place.
A successful day out caching Alpha and a few others between there and home. We skipped one due to logs indicating it’s no longer there and muggles kept us away from a few others. Just the one DNF on the way home.

Alpha was another welcoming and delightful town in the Barcaldine shire, It was great to have this cache to find. Thanks to Nedandmrskelly for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After attending the Red Centre Experience event and spending a little time exploring some iconic locations in the Northern Territory, it was time to make a more or less express trip back home. Fortunately there were sufficient well placed caches at opportune spots to safely park and stretch our legs on our way home [^].
Now that we have had a small taste of what there is to offer in central and north-west Queensland, we will need to look at organising another trip sometime when we can spend more time to explore the area. We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the logbook, we continued on our long journey.
Thank you Nedandmrskelly for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy
