Out for a bit of a drive - I really wanted to go to the lighthouse but was outnumbered. So instead we went out to the little church at the marae where my sister got married and then out this way for a few more caches before dinner. Found the perfect place for a cache complete with hint item but no cache to be found. Decided it was a DNF when I noticed another wee spot and yeah I felt a cache but had to dig really deep to retrieve it. Replaced so the next person doesn't have to go as far. Relieved to come away with a smilie here. TFTC # 10,124
I have been in New Zealand alone 25 years ago.
This time i visited down under again with my wife.
We also visited our daughters which were here for 7 months for work and travel.
On our way north, we stopped at Akaroa and found the box in his hidden place.
Thank you very much for this cache and many greetings from Germany.

We picked this one up as we headed back to Christchurch, after an awesome day visiting Akaroa.
There were some picnicing muggles near by, but they couldn't really see us at GZ.
Took a little bit to spot it's little hiding place, but we got it. Thanks FastFrames
We left a pet rock - a bee

We searched and searched but no luck with this one. Suspect it may be gone as we are sure we had the right spot. But we enjoyed the walk here anyway.
We went to NZ for six weeks and did some geocaching on the way
We started exploring in Christchurch. What an exciting city, we loved it! The ReStart Market, the food trucks, the people, awesome city! After CHCH we went south. Dunedin and the pinguins were great! We went to Stewart Island and even Ulva Island to see some birds and find a geocache down south. From there we went to the North. Doubtfulsound was beautiful and sunny, Lake Wanaka wonderful! Abel Tasmantrack is an awesome hike, i can recommend it to all geocachers. The North Island was also a succes. Rotorua and the Vulcano's, wow! Napier, Tongariro Crossing, Ohopi Beach, White Island, big Kauri trees, Cape Reinga, the Bay of Islands... it was all fantastic.
We did love travelling and camping in NZ.
Found this one after my dolphin cruise! Had a great time overhere. Sorry to read this one is gone now.

Yep! Right where it you said it would be. Thanks for hiding caches for day visitors from cruise ships.
Out for a walk to find a few caches in Akaroa. Nice quick find on a quiet day. TFTC
SisterCorny travelling Asia and Oceania for four month, now in New Zealand.
Our last full day in NZ before heading to OZ tomorrow... We drove from CHC to Akaroa to get some more great views, nice landscape and of course some more caches.
The name of the caches says it all, easy going. TFTC

Riding around the Misty Mountain loop above Akaroa. It was definitely misty today! Picked up this and a few others on the way. TFTC
We have spent the day in Akaroa and after a morning dolphin watching we have waited for some of the heat of the day to go before attempting the caches in this area.
We are staying in a motel very close to the coordinates so now that the day has cooled down we make the short walk to a quick find. TFTC

Really nice to have a quick find sometimes. Enjoyed the walk past the boats. Thanks.
I managed to find this cache today whilst visiting from Brisbane, Australia via The Legend of The Seas ship. TFTC!
We just arrived in Akaroa after a interesting drive and we are really looking for nice days here. After check in at the Holiday Park I went for my NZ-cache-of-the-day.
Thanks a lot for this little one!
Best regards from Germany

25/02/17 - Just got back to UK after 6 weeks in New Zealand during which time I found just over 500 caches. I'd didn't get time to log them all at the time so catching up now. It wasn't where I was expecting to find it. TFTC
Team JeJeBuK - Injeanious, jess.daphne, the Burnsy, and our muggle friend Kurt - decided to go on a New Years excursion to Akaroa. We had a great trip and managed to pick up a few caches on the way. This one was a quick find once the dog walking muggles had passed by. Tftc.
Found on a road trip to Akaroa with friends. Signed the log as JeJeBuK for jess, daphne, Injeanious, The Burnsy and our muggle friend Kurt.

We did a journey all around NZ and had an amazing time. The country is absolutely beautiful und we loved our time here. Geocaching was also a good method for us to discover some lonely places, which were also very beautiful.
My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. Zara stays put at Little River, so with trusty steed Toby, the Seagnoid navigating via phone & scribe and I delegated to log blogger and driver, we are off to explore Akaroa.
An easy grab here. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 3: Akaroa to Akaroa.
Guessed where it was while still some distance away.

Right at the bottom of the steps we used to visit town.
Akorea is beautiful for a volcanic crater! Found with wally47.

Thanks for all the local caches. Great to be able to get some off the cruise liner.
A couple of crickets "sang" in the proximity of the hidingplace.
**Thanks** for the cache!

*Finally vacation and time for the trip 'down under' to Australia and New Zealand via China. We’re expecting to see a lot of different animals and flowers and also hope to find nice caches and meet other geocachers during our journey.*

First of eight caches in Akaroa and nearby over the weekend. This one took longer than it should have because we didn’t read the description properly initially. Once we read it all, the find was relatively quick. #1301. TFTC.
My evening stroll just got better, thanks for the hide FF, just where it was meant to be.
JDScout and I decided to go to Akaroa for the day. We took the stock route from the summit road down to Deveucheulles. We had lunch in Akaroa. Bacon rolls. Yum yum. This one was nice and close.
Took longer than it should have to find this one as the likely location wasn't checked properly on first look and widening the search area didn't help. After reassessing things we spotted the hide and, after waiting for muggles to pass by, made the retrieval and re-hide. TFTC.
Another of this strange rock arrangements around the country. You really do not need a GPS for the task. Quick find, TFTC
I parked for Haylee's steps and realised that I was closer to this so I grabbed it first. quick find.
A young couple busy setting up their camera and taking photos of each other then moving the camera and trying to take one of them both. We snuck round behind them and found the cache while they were busy. TFTC

Monday night mad mission with TW. Sweet. We'd just got back home and had a feed after a great walk up Mt Thomas....wild horses couldn't stop me heading out again with T. I drove and TW directed as I hadn't even seen the new caches let alone loaded them up. Onwards! Another fun evening......only 170km and we were home by 10pm. Tame
Nice quick find and sign. One more to go then homewards! Still early too! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet........

I spotted this one early in the morning and today's plans were already in motion so these had to be put on the back burner, oh well... Today's plans and goals were fulfilled and then a message was sent to TG for a Mad Mission and the answer was a resounding, 'yes'! TG grabbed me and we headed out while I navigated. The night was fresh and super clear with millions of stars to start with then the moon rose, wow. We only did 170km and was back home by 10pm, rather sedate for us two loons. But, the fun we had. Five FTFs is a good nights haul.
We had a laugh about the fact we FTFed the CO's cache up the road on a crazy night. Quick find at GZ and another {FTF} at 8.29pm.
Thanks for the cache FastFrames.
