Loved the trek. Took the main route up and then read the description whilst searching for the cache and discovered that there was a waterfall which I had to find. Tftc. #210

Almost a year ago, we didn't find the track up. That was today no problem, and I made it to the top. Beautiful those tracks through dense grass trees, my favourite plants.

Unfortunately, neither on the way up nor down I could locate the cache. But thanks to you to have drawn my attention to this beautiful place.

A cheeky hike before work. Didn’t have a pen on me so I couldn’t sign. Now I know where it is , the next time I’m up there I’ll give it a stamp.

We tried two tracks. Blue one ending at a fence, pink one ending in nowhere. So we left it. Tftc.

My step-dad (an avid bushwalker and SES volunteer) suggested we make it a date to head up the Leap on Saturday morning. I (and he) have been up the Leap quite a few times so I knew what to expect terrain wise. Teen-geo had never made the trek so it was her first time. We set off about 830am and we didn't have any real troubles making it to the top. The SES have only recently re-tagged the path with pink and orange tags and the exit (right) from the creek bed is well marked with lots of pink tape weaved into a pile of stones (on top of a rather large boulder). Up we went, as we were nearing the top we came across a rather large snake skin (fortunately it's maker was no where to be seen!). We made it to the top and the search began. It took quite some time to find the cache (wow, lots of hidey holes up here)! Unfortunately the pen we had taken with us did not work so we were unable to sign the physical log. After having morning tea and taking in the beautiful views we headed off to another location to see the views from the other side of the Leap which is the highest point (also well marked with pink tape). After taking a few pics we made our way down (met some march flies and a goanna on the way) and we got to the car just after 12pm (we were in no rush to enjoy the trek so took our time). TFTC. TNLN.

Been thinking about going for this 1 for a while. Tried this path once before when there was no cache at the top. Didn't get very far as the we lost the path and the dog wasn't big enough to climb the rocks. Today there just happened to be a group from the ses out training and there was new pink ribbons along the whole path. The dog now fully grown made it all the way with us without too many troubles. At the top there was a lot of hiding spots and it took about 10 mins to find. All up it took us about 45mins each way. Tftc will add a favourite point to make it two from two.

YES!!! FTF!!! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
I was in Cairns when this one was posted so I placed on my watch list. I was heading to Mackay with work on Thursday morning, I arrived at 0800hrs and decided to give it a go so I drove to the parking spot and headed bush. The trail ran out after a little bit so I decided to head up the creek and see how close I could get, after a little bit I saw a side creek which headed towards GZ. I climbed up this way and then I noticed the trail has pink and orange markers, so I followed them along the trail. I got within 5m and looked up, I still had a bit to go so I followed the trail around until I reached the summit. Once there I took in the sights then started the search, I looked here, there and almost everywhere until I finally found the sort after prize at 1000hrs. (Its not on the cliff edge, Please be careful as it is slippery near the edge). I than sat back and enjoyed the view and the birds for an hour before heading back. Thanks for the placing a harder terrain cache, I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Defiantly a favourite from me for the hike/climb Wink.
