Working in the broader district, out and about grabbing some smilies. Easy cache, even when getting closer the animals seemed to have life.

Reasonably accurate coordinates and a familiar hide location led to a quite find. Retrieval of the cache was complicated by the large number of ants residing in the immediate area. Otherwise the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Hercs&pinky for the cache.
After attending the St Arnaud Mega Event , now in Swan Hill and district for a couple of days. Travelling through the countryside and finding caches along the way. Thank you to all CO's for placement of the caches. TFTC.
In Swan Hill for a few days and decided to go out caching this morning before the heat of the afternoon. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches as well as maintaining so that we can enjoy finding them.

Day two, in the very good company of Suscoe and the forecast of hot weather a caching course was charted close to the city.
Quirky location we would never have been to, if we did not play the geo-game.
Thanks 'Hercs&pinky' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe was out and about with Phetlern on this warm Spring day.
It got to 30 degrees and it was sunny, a light sprinkle of rain at times and sunny again as well as being windy.
We focused on caches that were not too far out of town and enjoyed finding a range of caches and hides.
It was a top day and we had a great time.
Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, a nice location out here.

I have driven past this location many times and there has always been a reason for me not to stop -too wet, people around, snake season etc etc. today I had no excuses so happily can cross this off my “to do” list TFTC
Arrived into Swan Hill this morning staying on the riverside.
After lunch it was time to head out to locate a few of the caches
The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.

#14704. Day 2 of our few days staying at Lake Boga and caching around the area. Managed 21 finds, 3DNF's and a write note. We had been warned that caching around SH could be a tricky and frustrating affair. Yes, that is correct. I am sure there will be more DNFs to follow, unless we can start to think like the CO.
An easy find at the T-intersection and we had a bit of a chuckle at the farm yard across the road. Rob thought they were real until he realised the grass was actually growing under their feet.
Thanks Hercs&pinky

I had a few extra days off work so BettyBoo3747 and I decided to nip across to Swan Hill for a few caches. Been quite a while since we have been here and there are lots of new caches to do.
Travelled from Lake Boga and up to Swan Hill today, relaxing by the lake now.
We found the cache before we noticed the stray animals across the road.
A few of them have been standing still for quite a while as the grass has been growing around their feet!
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks to a long weekend (Happy Birthday Queen V!) we had the chance to make a Sunday day trip to Swan Hill where GemmaSistema & family were camping.
We left the muggle husbands with a couple of the kids and headed out with neisha07 & chan02 to cache our way around Lake Boga, Swan Hill & in between.
An enjoyable day.

This afternoon becca85 arrived with her hubby and kids so we split the team (leaving 4 at camp) and headed out with myself, LukeSistema, becca85, neisha07 and chan02 (signing as Team Clarmensma) targeting Lake Boga and surrounds. An easy find here as we collected just a few more! Many thanks for the cache.
In Nyah for a couple of days getting a few caches today. Heading for Swan Hill. TFTC
6763 Found by baby&Mrs gopher on a maintenance run with the CO at 1550. The container was exposed and very easy to find. Hid so the container wasn't easy to see. SL Tnx Hercs&pinky.
Found easily. Coordinates were a tiny bit out but it didn't matter as the hiding spot was an easy one.

Found with The Empire and SnapHappy on the second day of our weekend in Swan Hill and surrounds. After heading out of town a bit in search of a few smileys, we did a bit of a loop around before heading back in for the Lunch event. Thanks to Hercs&pinky, finally we were on a roll, all caches in their hiding spots. Cheers, Lisa
A cool spot for a cache find with friends.
Found with the awesome Team Crackers, fabulous Maccamob, hilariously funny Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.
We cached all day, enjoyed the Swan Hill 6 months to the Alexandra Event, and then ended our day with a delicious dinner at the RSL (Dianne, Mark, Mary, David, Alan, Gary and myself).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a big, but generally a relaxing couple of weeks away in Victoria.
Ballarat, Border track, Pinnaroo, Bendigo, Wedderburn, Swan Hill, Maryborough, Mt Beckworth and Mt Gambier are just a few of the spots I have visited during my caching trip. There was an emergency room visit, loads of driving, stacks of laughter, amazing food, lots of new learnings (like oh my goodness!!), and a wonderful mix of fabulous people.
I am loving this country and getting out and about in it!
Thanks for the cache Hercs&pinky!

After having a great time at the 6 months to the Alexandra mega we joined forces with maccamob, alansee, micaparamedic and goodlook for an afternoon's caching
Caches like this are the reason we still enjoy the game as it brings you to quirky little places that we would otherwise never have known existed. The girls headed straight to the fantastic farm yard scene while the boys headed off to locate the cache before joining them. The cache was a nice quick find and the log has now been signed
We took nothing but left a favourite point for the location.
To save room in the logs we signed as The big 4 as we were all staying there.
Thanks again Hercs&pinky for the cache.

Found with a group of cachers who had all come for the Event today. Well, the boys did, the womenfolk went over to check out the "animals".
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Found by Mary & David at 1500. Logging as Big4 today, as all teams (Alansee, Team Crackers, GoodLook, micaparamedic, Day1976, GeoJosiah and ourselves) are staying at a Big4 caravan park this weekend. Wish our grandchildren were here. They would love it. Our thanks to Hercs&pinky.

The morning of the '6 Months to the event in Alexandra - Swan Hill' event. We cruised around town and picked up some caches before heading to the event for lunch. We were in need of a bit of a streak so we came out here for some finds! Thanks for the cache, Hercs&pinky.

Thanks Hercs&pinky for placing a cache big enough for swaps for kids. While mogni, brisal5 and I (GOTHS) are adults, we sure appreciated not spending half an hour looking for tiny nanos in gardens. Once again you revived our spirits so that we could face the strangeness of some hides in Swan Hill. We really enjoyed your hides. TFTC
Found@ 1758.. getting cool now . Nice view across the road at the fake animals. Road getting busy as people making their way homeward. Thanks for the cache placement all good at GZ.
Was an easy find by a small dam with 3 ducks which unfortunately flew off as we approached. Well kept cache. Thanks.
In Swan Hill for an event with Mrs. Aussie M&M and mogni. To save space, we simply put our group stamp of GOTHS (Geocachers Of The HillS) in the logs.
One of the very few quick finds we made today
Thanks Hercs&pinky for the cache.

So I traveled from Mount Gambier to attend an event on the Sunday, but with that much driving I hoped to grab a whole lot more. This is a tough town to geocache in.

A quick find.

Heading up to Swanhill, for a days caching. looking at getting a good number of finds for the day, but they were soon dashed when we had a 4 streak of DNF's and the total count for the day was 11.
But on the brighter side of things we did have a good day travelling around the area and ended up with 27 smileys.
Loved the little farm over the road, and a good way to show off the area.
and a good way to finish off the day in Swan Hill. This was our last find before the mac attack.

Miss 6 and miss 10 found this one in about 2 seconds while I sat in the car and logged it. Thanks so much for putting out some new caches for us to find. Love the bigger containers!

Lord Rossatron and I had plans to go for a road trip to SA today for caching, but as weather was going to be terrible noticed last night there was heaps in the Swan Hill area, we decided it would not be raining so we will give it a go, up at 6am this morning, after 3-4 hours sleep we headed off to Swan Hill, I was so tired and i am the only driver, we drove in the freezing cold and ALOT of fog...
Nice little cache, quick find. Easy sign onto the next cache we go TFTC!

Easy find. The first thing my partner said when he saw the container was "that is like brand new expensive Tupperware!" I had to convince him NOT to take the Tupperware container home, but to take the walrus toy instead tftc!
Quick an easy find with the geo monkey kids. Kids always love checking out the new animals in the near by yard
