Spending the weekend in Melbourne to see Pearl Jam. Taking the opportunity to see some sights, walking around, completing some adventure labs and finding some geocaches with legend. GPS wasn't much use here but the hint was very helpful. The cache was quickly spotted and the log signed.
I've had the coordinates for this cache for a while. But I haven't been in this area to get the log signed. Today was the day with a very cold wind howling down the street, I found the cache and left my mark. Thanks for bringing me to The Mission To Seafarers. I learnt a bit of history in a place I would normally never get to.
Out with one of pinnacle333, we were caching at night in Docklands while others were attending a concert. We wandered this way on foot as it was a solved puzzle from long ago. Quick find once we found how to access that level. Thanks ClanMagee.
Worked our way through this one in the evening darkness, travelling up and down the elevator to the creepy small laneway, definitely a bit spooky at nighttime! We even managed to lose our direction in the elevator! A big sigh of relief when we completed this find! Thanks ClanMagee
I was in town a little early ahead of dinner in Docklands, so I swung past to grab the answers to this multi. I zig zagged around until I had the location in hand and then set off for the final. I was able to take a seat and sign the log without alerting any muggles.A big thanks goes to ClanMagee for taking the time to add Heritage Melbourne: The Mission To Seafarers to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! After a morning caching in the Coburg area, Tiz13 and I headed into the city for a late lunch in Chinatown, then to grab a few caches before attending the Postcards event at Melbourne Central. Arriving at the posted, numbers collected and calculations made. Staying on the sunny side of the street, and crossing over to GZ, Tiz13 was quickly onto it and the cache was located, log signed and returned as found. Thanks ClanMagee for placing this Multi-cache, enhancing the game board and adding to our enjoyment.
Headed to the city with Mica paramedic for a late lunch and a few caches including this one before the outrageous postcards eventIt was getting cold windy and noisy with the police sirens blaring...we made our calculations then swiftly moved on to find this cache trying to stick to the sunny spots to keep warm..
I've volunteered inside Mission to Seafarers Got the clues, went to lunch with a friend, and then returned to find the cache before a train journey.
Once we found the right elevation, the cache was located with no problems. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Once we had worked out where we needed to be, the cache was located. We needed to be quite careful as there was something on at "The Mission" with muggles dribbling in all the time. Thanks for the cache.
Time for some inner city caching to add some more smilies to my map. Quick calcs at the posted coords. Interesting history. Arrived at gz, but we were on the wrong level. Found some stairs which now had us at the right level. Once there it was a quick find. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, ClanMagee ~~
My husband and I are down from Brisbane for a weekend to meet up with friends and go to see Essendon play. I had 2 target caches to find while I am down here and this one I did a lot of homework before I came and actually figured out where GZ was . I had used old photos of the building and powers of deduction and along with the gallery photos and google earth I was sure I had the correct spot. Today it was time to check out if I was correct and sure enough using the hint I had the cache in hand. I did learn a lot about the Seafarers Building and did go and check it out. Thanks ClanMagee for all the fun
Ive amount of caching today before the footy. Walked the same roads/paths a couple of time which is the story of adlab and multi caches.Easy find with the hunt and spotted upon heading to GZ, TFTC, SL at 15:50pm.
Nice easy find, I ride past here every day I ride to work... So had a very good idea where it was
Have always admired this old building. There's a massive development around it now but at least it gets to stay. Had a small difficulty finding this cache until I read the hint. Thanks for the hide.
Nice little 2 step find, hindered only slightly by construction works limiting access to the black dome lights. But a video of the area later, maths done and cache secured. TFTC
Completed over two days whilst in town. Ive driven past the first point dozens of times on trips into Melbourne so it was nice to stop and read some history. With numbers correct it made for a quick find today whilst no one was about. Amazing how quiet some places in Melbourne can actually be! Thanks for the fun and adventure
Found by Mary and David at 13:25. A fascinating building with a long history. A bit of exercise required to find this one after we initially approaced from the wrong level. Our thanks to ClanMagee.
**Heritage Melbourne: The Mission to Seafarers**It was great to learn a bit about this old building that Ive driven past dozens of times. Never knew what it was, so very interested learn about it. After doing some calculations I headed off, but failed to read the hint. That put me, like others, on the wrong level. Once I read the hint I returned to a spot that I had already walked past and made a quick find on a quiet morning. Looks like everyone is working from home today! Thanks to ClanMagee for this placement for our geo-enjoyment. Cache on *Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Chook drove the 'Geotruck' ute to Altona today to deliver it to its new home, then caught the train back to Beaufort. On arriving in Melbourne to change trains, she realised she had a couple of hours up her sleeve before the Vline service departed. So the obvious best use of this time was to enjoy a stroll along the Yarra waterfront, crossing pedestrian bridges, and finding a few ad labs and caches along the way. This multi was one of these caches on the walk. With coordinates soon in hand, and the road safely crossed at the given waypoint, GZ was not too far away. With surprisingly not many muggles around, it was a nice quick find. TFTC ClanMagee.
Visiting Melbourne for a couple of days, so I decided to search for this multi. Back in March I had solved the coordinates for GZ, but the heat got the better of us and we called it a day.Today I spent way too long searching for GZ as my gps was constantly bouncing around. I had a rest and accidentally found the cache!! Yay!TFTC clanmagee
I had a lunch break to myself, so I decided to take a little walk to clear my head and, well, let's be honest, find a cache.I have been passing this building for almost 50 years, and it doesn't seem to have changed much in that time, although the road system near it has changed immensely in that time. The traffic was typical for this area of Melbourne on a weekday, but we were able to grab the information we needed and safely make our way to Ground Zero.We waited until we were able to make the search without being spotted by muggles and soon had the cache in hand. All was well with the cache. Thank you, ClanMagee, for this Multicache.
We were lucky to nab a parking spot behind the carpark next to the mission, then I had to deal with crowds of people dressed in black and white or red with an unfamiliar logo singing quite unfamiliar songs. I suspect they were going to the soccer match between two British team at the Docklands stadium. I got confused and overshot the location of GZ and also went up the wrong road. I should have followed the football fans. As I was disheartening walked back to the car, after taking way too long to not find the cache. Then I realised I was walking what could be used as a seat, retraced my steps and found the cache! Then I had to face The Driver saying I was way too long! But I found the cache!
Nice, easy find. Felt good to avenge a long-ago DNF. All in good condition. TFTC
After calculating gz decided to swing around to a couple other nearby before hitting up gz. Ended up on the entirely wrong angle of attack and had to change elevation to snag it. Tftc
As Mr BLB is an ex-merchant navy officer,it seemed fitting to seek this cache. Took a few mins as cache not at ground level now. Other hints helped. SL tftc
My parents met at the Melbourne Mission to Seafarers during the second world war. They used to run dances to entertain the visiting seamen and Mum used to love to dance. Dad, a visiting English sailor, was too shy to do anything but stand in the corner. She dragged him onto the dance floor and they lived happily ever after.... So this cache came with a poignant piece of personal history for me. I scoped out the clues and calculated gz last week but left it till today to find and log it on leap day. I think my luck was in, as it came to hand very quickly. Heritage Melbourne: The Mission To Seafarers is find number 3,354 for me. A fun micro multi-cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in City Of Melbourne. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Thursday 29 Feb 2024 at 4:40 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 30C 22% 4 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy ClanMagee.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 4 days in Melbourne, we visited Philipp Island, Melbourne Center, Ballarat, while following the caches and labs. We made some great discoveries and great experiences. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots

On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 10/74, Wednesday. After work I decided to take a LONG walk. I wandered around the Docklands area and logged a lot of geocaches and lab caches. I had such a lovely evening in a beautiful, sunny weather. This was a nice and straightforward multi cache. Thank you for the cache and greeting from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
I was going back and forth doubting myself recounting, up on the wrong level and standing around thinking, until i spotted something, could that be? and there it was, cache in hand and liv book signed TFTC
Another day, another chance for a cache on our road trip with Jack and Purrfect Di. Every day is Caching Day - so off we go!!! [:o)]Spent a little time in Melbourne and found your cache! A few numbers crunched by the roadside and a short walk soon found us the prize. This old heritage building is being swamped by massive development behind it Thanks ClanMagee for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Viva Mexicana ! Thanks for the caches beyond the wall [:o)] PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the SA June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finding with a little competition too
A nice simple, straightforward multi on my morning caching walk around the Yarra and Docklands area. Came past GZ on the way to the cache and thought it would be funny if the cache was here, which definitely made it easy to get to on the way back to the apartment. Nice, enjoyable cache. TFTC!!! #2236
#11609 if I had read the hint properly then I wouldn't have had so many trips on the stairs.First multi in Australia; cache types increasing
A nice quick find! GPS was running crazy but we managed to use the map to figure it out...With keepingupwithkdog, TFTC!
DNF. Massive construction happening in the area and the footpath the gps coordinates pointed to is currently closed. Assuming Im in the right place of course. Will try again next time
Well done, indeed! This is a near perfect city cache. Building a puzzle out of something as mundane as the number of lights, then a challenge that keeps you guessing. With thanks to the commenter who clearly guided me away from the error of my assumptions, I eventually found this little beauty. The log is indeed quite full. Signed as RJM.
Im arrive to Melbourne meet 63ROOS stay for 5 days.. We walking around At Melbourne City all day ..Look beautiful place but too many muggles everywhere.. Tks
Accompanying with ALL7 and great enjoyed around of city , few catch up some before on way to motel..Nice spot, signed the log by stamp with ALL7, but full log..TFTC
After six days on the overland track and a 4am wake up for a 6:30am flight into Melbourne I was pleasantly surprised when my hotel let me check in early. After a two hour nap I needed to get out and stretch my legs. This cache and calculations were done and found quickly. Nice old joint. I didnt go in though TFTC
Today was our last day in Melbourne. We found some caches. Thank you for the cache.
Collected the clues a long time ago, but managed to get to GZ only today, taking a walking break from work.
A nice multi. We were at WP1 yesterday and gathered the data. Today, we approached GZ from our digs and found that we were at the wrong level. Fortunately, we found an easy way to the right level. A very quiet location which made it easy to retrieve the cache. Thank you ClanMagee
I looked and looked and looked, I earned frequent flyers on the stairs and the lifts. I went away and then I came back and then suddenly the map made sense. Thanks for a frustrating but fruitful search.
Into the city on the deadly treadly for an appointment.Completed a bit of maintenance, some AdLabs, and a few caches on the way home.It is amazing that this building is still there considering all the huge apartments being built in the area.Glad to see it though. Thanks, Robmc.
A day off at work so that means visiting the city, or a part of it at least. After a walk and a kangaroosteak with the colleagues, I went for caching. Thanks to all CO's and greetings from Belgium.
Found with Quickhealer Top tip- there's a lift near the overpass you can use instead of walking all the way around to the bottom level
GPS was all over the place, glad sharpharp found the lift, we split up at GZ and found after a few minutes Pika 29/9/23
First find for our holiday in Melbourne. Flew down this morning and staying nearby thought wed the bridges and pick up the betweens. Love history. Tftc
Initially thought Id made a blue in my calculations earlier this morning when we fast forward on my way home by 4hrs or so.Staying at the Travel Lodge hotel, so this was close by on both fronts, thanks ClanMagee
Tried solving this one from home before leave for Melbourne and interestingly got the same co-ords as solving it on site. Probably the quietest spot visited all day. Thanks for the multi cache.
Bit early for the train so thought would get a multi to qualify for the souvenir. This look easiest and closest of a bunch that looked time consuming. All turned out ok and the find was made. Tftc tnln.
I started this multi back when I was last here, today we were back in the area and although busy we were able to make a quick find at GZ.
In Melbourne for 1 night with Courtneyrose_ apart from heading to the footy for the evening, we had no plans so a few caches around the city were on the cards.
Thanks for the cache

Needing just 3 Virtual caches to complete a challenge that I have slowly working my way through, I headed up town this morning hoping to beat the wet weather. I didn't manage the latter but I did persist until I crossed off the required caches.
With one Virtual completed, I took a detour to visit this cache on my way to the next Virtual. Collected the required information, worked at GZ and set off... using the pedestrian crossings as the traffic was "nuts". Needed the Hint because the buildings were playing havoc with the GPS readings.
Thanks **ClanMagee** for putting this cache.

First multi of the trip. I have avoided doing a lot of them but this was easy so I went for it. Easy find at gz. TFTC.
Finding a few city cache today to balance my ammo can in the bush. Quite a simple multi actually and made part of an adventurous day.

Find 2 of 26 along with 5 DNFs on a 40km bike ride from the CBD to Docklands, Port Melbourne, St Kilda and Elsternwick before mixing it with rush hour traffic back to the CBD.
Battled the traffic to do some counting, then battled it back again to find this cache - quick find, all good.
TFTC ClanMagee!

Rain really coming down now. Gathered up the info and then headed to GZ. I had to wait some someone to finish their ciggie before I could grab the cache. All good. Thanks.
Down from Sydney. Collected the required info on the walk to the office here. Located the GZ and made the grab on a coffee run. Could do with an extra magnet. Log in good order. Thanks for placing this multi cache ClanMagee #1910
We just flew in today from Texas, to go on a cruise tomorrow. We checked in to a hotel and were ready to find a cache. This one was close by so we took a chance. Plugged in the final coordinates and we were on our way. My GPS started jumping around at GZ but we were able to grab the cache with the helpful hint. TFTC!
After some previously booked travel was cancelled due to Covid, we were now having to use up our flight credits before they expired so my wife and I decided to fly down to Melbourne from Brisbane for an extended weekend break. This morning we were headed out to find somewhere for breakfast. I suggested we head towards Docklands as I had a few caches on my to do list over that way. As we neared it became apparent that we were unlikely to find anywhere to eat around here and a quick Google Map search confirmed our suspicions. My wife took her leave and we arranged to meet up later in a more café rich environment once I had found my other caches.
I managed to work out the final location shortly after bidding my wife farewell, but it was only on the walk back to meet her again that my route took me past GZ. Although I had passed by a large group of muggles loitering about further up the road, there was not a sole to be seen at GZ. The cache was quickly spotted although it was sitting lower than intended as the small magnet holding the cache had come free of the tape sticking it to the cache. I managed to find the magnet still in situ and, after signing the logbook, placed the magnet inside the container instead, which still managed to hold the cache in its intended location and would stop the magnet going astray in future. TFTC

I was spending a few days in Melbourne for meetings and made an early start to gather the required information and do the calculations. At GZ the GPS was almost useless but I did manage a reasonable quick find once I decided it had to be her somewhere.
In the city for a conference and I always try to get to the city early to collect a few geocaches. Specifically ones that catch up eye first, and then any others in the area. Before the conference it was Collingwood, Melbourne University areas. After the conference had finished, it was time to check out Docklands
Had to cross the busy road twice, but I did the right thing and crossed at the crossing. Then once at the GZ, my GPSr just wouldn't settle. Took a bit too long, but once I found it, it was obvious that I should have searched there first.
Thanks for the cache Clan Magee

Nice easy solve, but for some reason we got lost along the way haha. Eventually figure out where we needed to be and quick find at GZ. TFTC
Down in Melbourne with my daughter from Brisbane having some girl time. Me being originally from Melbourne we caught up with some friends, did some shopping and ate. In between all that I managed a few caches.
This one was found as I got up nice and early while the daughter slept.
Got the coords easily enough but totally butchered getting to GZ by just going up the wrong road. Got there eventually after walking many more steps, up and down and side to side than required. Luckily it was a quick find once there.

Thanks ClanMagee for this great little cache. The Mission to Seafarers is an awesome building & well worth a peek inside. There is a beautiful little chapel & they occasionally have exhibitions in the domed building. Upstairs, there is a small museum with amazing artifacts from our maritime history. The mission still does amazing work for visiting seafarers to this day, a friendly spot for them to rest up.
The cache was pretty straight forward & definitely best approached by foot or bike & definitely be mindful of traffic. Best visited at quieter times when not so many muggles & cars. Nice & dry, tucked away. Found this a few weeks ago in January

Im such an idiot. Like a previous finder, I too misinterpreted the hint. After I search with bugger all help from gos satellites I admitted defeat and logged my dnf. At which point I looked down, and realised the error of my ways. Soon afterwards I had cache in hand.
Found It!
I parked in the 10min park at WP1, counted the lights, then drove to GZ, parked in another 10min park there and quickly found the cache. Would've like to do the walk between them but that would've taken longer than 10mins!

**This Cache:**
After logging Bunjil from the top of the stairs, we came back down to street level and across to the start of this multi! Woah, only one value to collect! Even better! Walked along and counted the number of light fittings before sitting down and crunching some more numbers to turn them into coordinates!
Luckily the final cache was actually in the same sort of direction we wanted to head next, how good! It was also very quiet along this street today too, there was only one lady walking behind us, so once we sat down at GZ we let her pass and found the cache unhindered!
Many thanks ClanMagee, an excellent and safe hide for a city multi!

**Today:**
Today I went out with sebass19 and we decided to utilise public transport and have a full day in the city! Plenty of new virtual rewards on offer, as well as a few other interesting caches dotted around the place! We walked 18km on the hard concrete all around the city, and that was even with using the trams and trains as much as we possibly could to cut out any walking, phew! Well worth it though, we saw some awesome spots and discovered more parts of the city I hadn't visited before! All up it was a great day out!
Thanks to all the CO's

I really do need to come have a look here on open day. Love Melbourne history.
This was nice easy counting and maths. The hide was also nice and easy, but we searched 10m away so of course made it hard. The first beautiful sunny day in Melbourne in a while. Thanks for highlighting this spot.

I have been passed this one so many times but haven't been able to stop for a look, today was different as I was on my bike so I made sure that I stopped by this one to finally cross it off the list.
After getting what was needed at the start, I then made my way to GZ where I was able to make the find, I did take a peek at the hint though.
**Thanks to ClanMagee for placing this cache.**

One of the few caches near my office I hadn't found so given my train got in early today time to fix that! Really nice morning for the walk, TFTC!
Found today with the expert help of the brilliant navigation of geobabe.
After I came back to the car empty handed she said ’that looks like it over there’. And it was.
I would be lost without her.

Pottering around Melbourne, last day, flying back to NZ this evening. Time s always too short !
Thank you for this Multi, ClanMagee. Happy Int Geocaching Day.

We've driven past this multi many times but being on foot today with some time up our sleeve we enjoyed finally learning what it was all about. A short walk away to find a nice hide in a pretty quiet area on a Sunday afternoon. TFTC
This was en route to Southern Cross from the Convention Centre tonight, and it’s safe to say I’d never been here before. Thanks ClanMagee for pointing out something I’d have overlooked.
Missed it the first time around due to the traffic control guy standing practically at GZ… but coming from the right direction, spotted the container and just had to wait until his attention was diverted by traffic and the roadworks. Thanks for the interesting history and taking me to a part of Melbourne I’d never been before.
Ironically, after walking a lap from my hotel, I ended up right back at this GZ which is right near my hotel. Thanks for the hide.
I found this cache today on my Melbourne Meander. I collected the starting info and as I neared GZ, I was thinking that this was going to be really difficult. Thankfully, just by using the hint and the map, I was able to find it relatively quickly. Thanks from D B-A
Lively stroll down and back. Once we solved the puzzle, I was quick to cop a feel and I had it in my hands.
Co-ordinates where quickly calculated and GZ soon found. A suspicious looking container was spotted on approach so made for a very quick find.
GPS had me all frazzled!
So thought to myself take a seat and wait for my location to normalise. This wasn't working so my next option was to reach under...
What's there to lose, right?
And BINGO! .
Sometimes it's worth taking that chance
TFTC!

I was in the city today for a conference at the Convention Centre and I needed a multi for today so this was it.
I solved for GZ this morning on the way down from Spencers Street Station (sorry, can't get out of the habit) and found the prize on the way back this afternoon
**Thanks for placing this cache ClanMagee**
