Despite being found a couple days ago I CAN'T FIND my geocache. Disabling in the interim to be replaced with a multi-cache
Visit Carol in New Plymouth- from South Africa with Kaydey - let the springboks rule the rugby world - viva South Africa ????
On route back to Hamilton the long way. A walk along the coastal path and found this cache TFTC
I have the week off work so have come up to Taranaki for a couple of days or so for caching, tackling the Forgotten Highway and hopefully finally knocking off the E174 challenge that I signed some years ago.Was grabbing the ad lab nearby so wandered over. All good here and TFTC.Find #6571 at 21 March 2024 6:50 am
Thanks Phronimos for the cache. Its #1884 for us. We found your cache on Sunday 17 March 2024. Pick find after reading he fascinating story in the board
Biking around on womad weekend. Exploring the town via caches. Learning lots. Thanks.
Three unsuccessful attempts today - although we didn't try that much at the "Three Sisters" last night ...But no matter - a sheltered spot sweetened our afternoon.Dreimal erfolglos am heutigen Tag - dabei haben wir doch gestern Abend gar nicht soviel bei den "Three Sisters" probiert ...Aber egal - ein windgeschtzter Platz verste uns den Nachmittag.
Came back a 3rd time, its there this time, it's definitely where I thought it should be (although not the bottom one) so must of been missing the past 2 times I came looking for it
Second go at trying to find, I tried a quick look a week ago but couldn't find it, still no luck today. There is a broken bit I found both times where I believe it is supposed to be?
The broken container was replaced back in September and has been found dozens of times since, including 3 days ago. Thanks for visiting. P
Found the broken plastic mentioned in a previous log but was unable to locate the cache in any of the other "ones".
In NP today so took the opportunity to turn this previous DNF into a smiley. A lot of people around today on the beach for a Tuesday
Here following a Surf lifesaving comp. hosted by Fitzroy SLAC. Took a stroll down to East End to nab this one. TFTC
Didn't take too long to figure this one out, though as another cacher pointed out, it's not exactly where it is suggested (but certainly if you look there you'll look in the right place). Thanks!
Wasn't in the bottom one (some old broken plastic made it impossible to put it back there) but a great hide and fun find. TFTC
Day 16: Around TaranakiTodays journey took us around the Taranaki Region, where we headed as far south as Cape Egmont before heading up to Pukeiti, and back to New Plymouth for two more parks: Tpare and Pukekura Parks. After that, we searched for the best views of the Maunga from Te Wera Wera Bridge and walked the Coastal Walkway back to the Port. Another truly productive day, and thanks for all the caches around the Taranaki Region. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache: An easy cache find on the walk along the walkway today. Interesting bit of history here, of course, and I am always intrigued by how the ingenuity of man is sometimes balanced by these sort of mistakes. But, such is life. Easy find at the GZ here once the unlikely spots were eliminated. TFTC!
After a walk from the Wind Wand to this beach I searched for this cache. I almost gave up. But after 5 min: success! TFTC
A great hide, but as the previous finder has said, it is broken. However, we have taken a photo of the cache container as there is no log to sign. Thanks for bringing me here to read the notice board -amazing what the early settlers did.
After caching around the port area yesterday, today we decided to cache in the city and hopefully out to the Bell Block area.
Out and about with LNM1961 revisiting Taranaki and collecting caches.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Phronimos.

With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A planned expedition into the Taranaki region. All logs were signed with our individual handles, or Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa) depending on who accessed the logbook first...
King's Birthday Saturday: There were a few people in the general vicinity, so it was helpful to have an information panel to read. While surveying passing traffic, we picked our time to strike. Thanks Phronimos. TFTC.

M25: this cache was spotted in plain sight on the ground, so we put back into the reasonably obvious spot where we believe the hint said. Nice and easy find, log all good and signed here. TFTC.
A lovely morning to stroll along the Coastal Walkway. After patiently waiting for a family of Muggles to move on from GZ, a quick investigation of the area soon had the cache in hand. Loved the unique container and hiding spot.
