The tracks in this reserve have been closed for some time due to KDD. This cache should be disabled until they reopen.
As with the other caches in this reserve, the tracks are closed to protect kauri. They have been closed since 2019, with no apparent date for them to be reopened.
We have now moved to level 2, and can now find caches again

Nice little hide. Took us a while to find the track, bit over grown path but nice little bush walk
Quick and easy find. Had my eyes up looking for something hanging. Look a little lower for those having trouble.
I was out in the Albany area this morning and noticed the cache circuit at Paremoremo, so drove around to take a look. Battled through the overgrown track to get to this one, but made a quick find of the cache at GZ. Decided not to do the rest of the caches as I wasn't really prepared enough for this track. Will come back another day to do the rest of the circuit. TFTC!
My first cache on our loop walk today (not counting the park and grab at start.) A dry day today but parts of the track still muddy. Sopping wet but signable log paper, but I guess it will slowely dry through the long summer to come. tftc alligatorsnz
Mrs Sp8 quickly checked the obvious spot and came up with the cache. This one was very wet, just able to sign in.

This one was pretty straight forward but I must say this log was very very wet and even dripping therefore it will need some owner maintenance pretty soon
Arrived here in the area to do some caching before enf of the day. Nice stroll in the bush here. Uff did not expect a jungle!
It might not have been the most sensible decision, but we wanted 4 finds today and there are 4 caches in Paremoremo Scenic Reserve that we have not yet found. So I parked at the Brookdale Rd end and began walking. Parking at this end avoided the steep descent from Ridge Rd, but would mean a longer walk to the first cache. The intention was to walk as far as Wild Lands before retracing my steps. The track has a few more twists and turns, and ups and downs than I remember, but eventually I was at GZ. Once there I made the proverbial "quick easy find." Thanks.
It was good to find that I had cell phone coverage and was able to report back on my progress from time to time.

Out with Greenblat and a80 to do this loop after a night of craft beer sampling the night before which made this the perfect loop to sweat out all the demons.
No issues here with a pretty quick find and an interesting slog through the overgrowth to get here. Off to the next. TFTC

Out with the meetup group. A lovely patch of bush with some varying terrain - may be a bit of a challenge in winter.
Out with the Auckland Geocaching Meetup group again - this track was a good slog alright. Nice find

Another great outing with the Meetup Group, walking this challenging loop track. This one posed no difficulties.
Last one - a couple of hours to complete the circuit. Thanks for placing them here.
Enjoyed a day with the boys doing the loop track. Whilst it was much tougher than we envisaged (I think all the terrain ratings need lifting to reflect the difficulty) the boys love these types of walks
Quickly found and moved on with this one

Sunday trip with the wife and the two girls; Gulla04 and Vic07.
This looked like a short and easy walk, suitable for our ambition today. That is; this was the impression I got when looking at the map! I refered to the outing to Smiths Bush one earlier weekend, when trying to give the family an impression of what waited
Disappointment is not the word to describe our walk, but certainly we got something we had not prepared for! Luckily we had acceptable shoes and lots of water, if not food.
Thanks for a memorable experience! We also found all the caches we searched for. This was one of them. Great trip that will not be forgotten.
Tftc!

The good hint made this a quick find. Certainly an interesting track getting to this site.TFTC
We met up with Aiden29 to find a few caches in the area. We found the track rather challenging as not only was it muddy and slippery, but it was also overgrown and it was hard to spot the triangle markers at times as they were on fallen down trees. We were very surprised to pass a muggle couple on the way to this one. The cache was quickly found in the first place we looked.
Headed out this way with Jag50 to tackle Paremoremo scenic reserve. Cache found in the first place Mr Jag looked.

no probs with this one-actually missed on our way to next one-glad we weren't doing a loop-tftc
Another fun find in this reserve. Have some fantails keeping us company today, and a few other bird calls. The stream is not too flooded, and the housing is creeping ever closer. Even had the sounds of cows mooing
Lovely this tramp, a bit rooty in places, and some trees have fallen over the track. At times felt like I was losing the track as some of the trees are growing over the path. Even got to cross over a stream, which I could imagine in winter would mean wet boots
Thanks for hiding the cache in this amazing place.

I came out with Rusty to finally get the caches in this reserve. I'm pleased I didn't come alone as at times it was tricky to follow the path as it has got so overgrown in places. And the track was surprising quite dry after the torrential rain of the previous weekend. No problems with finding the cache
It was a nice day this morning so thought this is the day that I get those annoying greenies that have popped up in the Paremoremo Reserve since I had last completed them all. It was a pleasant walk and the co-ords were spot on so it was a nice quick find and log (to continue my daily streak (Day 60) then off to ph2. TFTC
Needed to get away from the chores at home and this is the closest unfound to home so Mr and Mrs TW set out for a walk. Nice place to come along a path we have walked before. No problems in locating the cache. Thanks
Really liked this cache thanks alligatorsnz! A great hide ! A favourite ! Not what I expected !
Was here today with my OAC Tramping group for a 3 hour walk , including lunch ! As it rained a lot recently the track was really boggy and very slippery and overgrown in parts ! However we had a very enjoyable time ! Plus I managed to get 2 out of the 4 caches here ..... Walked past ph2 as we were talking too much ...and tried for the Hole but seemed a bit tricky so will go back for those two another day . Loved the loop walk . Even though a bit up and down !
Never been here before so was pleased to come today at last ! Clothes and shoes got sooooo muddy !

Out and about for a drive in the country and then a walk in the bush. Not to mention a spot of geocaching along the way. Well into my walk around Paremoremo Scenic Reserve. I came in via the Brookdale entrance and took the loop track to GZ. A nice winter's walk in the bush (read wet) if you will. The loop track got more challenging after ph2 as it climbed up to Ridge rd and back down again. The highlights where the near vertical banks that I had to descend/ascend and the 6 foot high bracken that was soaking wet that I had to push through. After getting out of "The Hole" I made my way along the track to here. After doing the whole loop, I think this section is actually an improvement! GPSr was a little slow under the tree cover and suggested GZ was 40m away when my caching senses tingled. Checked the likely spot and produced the hide. Cheers for the cache placement!
Wow that was fun. I had spotted this new one over at Paremoremo pop up, and well the challenge was on.
I got to the GZ no problem, but was truely struggling to find the cache.
After a very lengthy search around the wider area I was about to call it quits, when along come kiwiscot19.
We rechecked the clue, and the coord's, and in no time at all mr kiwiscot19 had the cache in hand.
What a truely brilliant hide, and thanks to these guys for a joint FTF.

Mid afternoon and still not logged as found. Kiwiscot at a friends house so Scotty and Kiwi decided to head out for a walk in the bush and attempt to find this cache as well. A car was already parked at the bridge so suspected we would not be the 1st. After a decent bush walk with the track deteriorating the further we traveled, arrived at gz to find another geocacher already on a mission. Luckily for us he had yet to locate the hide. After introductions the search was on again. Re-checked the cache information refocusing us in the correct spot. Kiwi looked in a possible location which had supposedly been thoroughly searched twice and noticed something that had been missed. Very pleased to find it. Another joint (FTF) for the day. Nice to meet another (new to us) cacher. TFTC
