A nice tricky one, love those little menThanks Larafolk for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Arriving at GZ we both groaned... this might take a lot longer than we anticipated. After making a few circles of the area we managed to spot the clever hide. Thankfully it didn't take too long. Great camo TFTC
A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Larafolk.**SKI Pair****
Didn't find it this time, quite a few branches down after the big storm not sure if that's displaced the cache or if I just wasn't able to find it. Will try again another time
Found on a typical Summer day with Roostaman and friends, on a a short trip to Vic. . Lots of travelling and caches as well. Thanks for the cache Larafolk, ***MrsRoosta***
Found on a short Vic trip with MrsRoosta. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cachefor all of us to find, Larafolk, ***Roostaman***
What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. this was an evel hide, thankfully with many eyes it was soon spotted. Thanks Larafolk for the cache.

What a great place to hide a geocache. This combined with the fairly solid camouflage Pretty sure this ones not being muggled any time soon. Very pleased to walk away with a find on this one. Especially given my previous difficulties with some of Larafolks hides.
Found it after 4 visits. Thank you for the very encouraging Lara folk who guided us through the very long process. Sorry for the late logging we found it about a week ago and signed as Norman family.
Weve been staying at Bunjils Lookout prior to our trip to Tassie. Today we are going to a friends house in Lara for dinner so decided to cache around Lara and Little River. We found some really good caches and had a great day out. Even snagged a new LGA, epic. This one took a few circuits of the trees and eventually a cache was spied, signed and returned. TFTC
A check here today and the cache was on the ground. Safely back in the correct location for finders again. Cheers.
No luck today but considering it hasnt been found for 4 months its possible its in the ground. Looked for over an hour but no luck here! Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
On a trip to Lara o load up my van fir a trip and got distracted by a chance encounter.Great sneaky hideAll where it should beThanks

Thanks for the cache! Enjoyed the challenge.
A trip up the highway to the office this morning presented me with an opportunity to duck off the FWY and knock off a cluster of nearby caches.
3 caches down and one to go in this little local patch is clear, wandering along from my precious find I approached GZ sloshing my way through the still damp ground. Once at GZ I, like a previous finder, had flashbacks to a cache in Point Cook and assumed I was looking at a similar placement here. A bit of dogging and searching, a change of angle and I soon spotted the well concealed hide.

Amazed I never knocked it onto the ground didn't sign as only had a marker got out of there after fighting off the mozzies tftc
We kind of knew what we were looking for as we approached GZ. Was well camouflaged! It didn't take us long to spot thankfully!

when I approached GZ and having read some logs previously I knew what I was looking for, a well camouflaged cache and a fav point. TFTC larafolk

Heading for an event in Geelong after work, I stopped off to find some caches enroute.
Arriving at GZ, I understood the D3.0 rating, but having had success with a similar type of hide in Point Cook recently, I had a good look around, and remarkably soon had the very well camoed cache in hand.
Pleased to make the find after 7 months unfound.

Cache was on the ground. Safely back where it should be again. Wow, these trees have grown heaps since the cache was first placed. Good luck with the find.
Some days I am really good at finding the camouflage ones, today is not that day.
I found a few others along this path a few years ago but didn't have time then to complete the walk. Today on my way back down to the beach I stopped off to look for the others finally.
Despite having a fair idea of what I was looking for here I still ended up walking in circles for several minutes without any luck. As is often the way with these types of hides eventually my eyes fell on the very well hidden cache out of the blue even though I was sure I'd looked there before. Thanks for the cache larafolk.

Went to check if this one was on the ground again. Happy to report that it's exactly where it should be and ready to be found. Wow, this area has grown so much since I was last here.
Took the dog for a walk and doing a little geocaching along the way. We searched & searched and searched but we were unsuccessful. Our second DNF for the day.
Heading down to the Geelong area to visit an infirm friend so took the opportunity to grab some smileys on the way. If the container hadn't been where it was, we might not have found this one. Thanks for the sneaky hide.
If it hadn't been for the position of this container, we would probably still be looking. Thanks for the clever cache.
OMG that was soooooo camouflaged!
Best we have seen.
Looked past it several times until Mrs Riddell used her skill set.
There was something that made her go right around the other side to examine this particular spot and yes it yielded the treasure!
A fav point as it is soooooo well done, so beautifully disguised... so natural

*Cache find # 10252.*
Out and about for the day of Christmas events.
It was now coming up to part 5, the dinner event and seeing that we had a little bit of time to fill in, I headed over to this series with GemmaSistema and Posums to see what we could find.
After not finding the previous cache, we headed to this one next, as we were making our way around and through the trees, Gemma found the cache, fairly quickly as well.
**Thanks to larafolk for placing this cache.**

Heading to the last event for the day which was dinner at the Lara Sports Club we had a bit of time up our sleeves.
So SteMicMitSar, GemmaSistema and myself went for a stroll along the creek to see if we could pick up a couple more caches.
Continuing along the path after failing to find the previous one we searched around GZ and Gemma spotted it fairly quickly as we were searching in other areas.
Thanks larafolk TFTC.

A little time to spare saw me having a walk with POSUMS and SteMicMitSar before the nearby dinner event. A clever cache here which was found without too many issues thankfully. Many thanks
A few of the Hume and Hovell series were on the target list this time as we cached with ilook4geo. Co-ords were good so the cache was found nice and quickly. All was good with the container and log which was signed to keep things in order. The history of the expeditions and explorations of Hume and Hovell are interesting to read. Many thanks go to Na'wal for the information about different aspects of the explorers' lives back then.
Thanks also for the placement and maintenance of this cache. It was a fun one to spot, with just a telltale spot to give it away. Glad to register a find for this one.

This cache was found while caching around the area with goingplaces2. Enjoyed making the find here and being able to add some more smiley faces to the map. Container was found, log was signed, job done! Really good camo used here. TFTC.
GPS was jumping around a lot, bit too tricky for us today. Will have another go.
TFTC Larafolk. Great job and thankfully our skills were up to the challenge. Very clever camo indeed. All good here at GZ. TNLN
Only a quick look as trying to get out in the bush later today so didn’t have time to devote to this. Will be back. Looks tricky!
Plenty of rabbits around with poor light. A read of the cache page and wondered about how well camoed this might be. The sat map said one area but the GPSr said another. A look in a few place and the torch showed up something not quite right and the hide was soon found. TFTC.
After getting lost in the mail once, the replacement logs finally arrived and this cache is good to find again.

A basic tenet of geocaching is that **the cache log needs to be signed to record a find,** see here: [Logging of All Physical Geocaches](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging). At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache.
Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)

We attempted this one as the sun was getting low, hoping to get the telltale glint of metal from the container, but no such luck. There were a few good hiding spots close to the coords and we methodically worked our way through, but only found a dead bunny (that's not a good omen!).
Around we went again, this time from a lower angle, but it didn't help us. In the end it just jumped out at us and seemed really obvious. Isn't that always the way. The log is full up now and will need a replacement. TFTC

Stopped off in Lara for a few caches today, after visiting in Geelong for the day, almost forgot to log this cache as it was written on a scrap of paper in the glovebox of the car...came across it whilst back in Lara for an Earth cache...

After a couple of DNF's, a quick check revealed the cache was on the ground. It has been placed back in its original position ready to find again. After a couple more finders, I'll go back abd replace the log. Happy hunting.
Out and about with 08151605 on this gorgeous day. 08151605 had found this previously but unfortunately neither of us could find it today. I will have to try and find this another time.
Lots of sets of eyes today, and yet our combined skillset is still obviously incredible lacklustre. Thanks anyway.
Nope, my skillset did not work here, even with PAF help. Boo, thanks anyway.
Another clever hide in the series! Thanks larafolg=k for your effort!! Fp given!
Found this one very well camouflaged need the eagle eye to spot, log looked full. Very tricky and clever hide thanks!
No joy for me here today. I figured the co-ords were a bit out from where the cache was likely to be and I could see evidence of recent searching. As I was on a time limit I called it quits and moved along. I will be back.
In the area with 6Hinemoa2 today we knew we would be in for a long search judging by previous logs. Our search began, we swapped places, we swapped places again then we were lucky to spot the cleverly camoed cache container. Great hide, thanks larafolk.
At last with an extra pair of eyes (McLookers) on the job today this one was found. Even after signing the log and replacing it in its special place, it was hard to spot.
Thankfully now it has been crossed off the DNF list and I can move on.

Found by Mary & David at 1422. Another day, another cache for our streak. Even though we had a good idea about the likely kind of hide here, this one still took a little bit longer to find. Saw it after a couple of circuits of GZ. Our thanks to larafolk.
i searched and knew that I was short on time. Obviously I didn't have the skill I needed in my haste. Will have to come back for this one.

Wow what a tricky one! and the rain has arrived and I am not wearing a coat. Still I did not want a DNF so late in the afternoon so I persisted where my GPS said I should look and I was rewarded!
On my first day off of the week I have come to Lara to get as many caches as possible. I was almost going to give up on this one, but then when would I get back here, persistence paid off and I found the cache. Great construction a favorite point from me.
Out wirh the geokids and geodog and of course autumntree. Took a little bit to find this one then just at the right angle there it was.

Team Autumn out today on the hunt for caches. Stood here for ages looking and looking, not even sure where to look! Youngest geokid and dog had given up and sat on the grass watching us. Finally decided to get a little hint (are we at the right spot) and messaged Larafolk, and of course then found it before we got a reply. Typical. This is an evil cache! Thanks Larafolk.
GPS was out so it took a while but I was not going till it was found. Having seen this type before it was a case of be patient and check everything. TFTC

Our geo-map indicated a smorgasbord of caches around Lara, so we set out today in an attempt to appease the hunger. We originally learnt of the exploits of these two explorers way back in secondary school. Fortunately we have seen a couple of these before, so according to Albert Einstein “The only source of knowledge is experience.” - not that it was a quick find though! Our co-ords initially had us looking in the wrong spot. After a while we extended our search area and then H-P glimpsed something out of the corner of her eye.
Satellites today had our GZ 9 metres south of where we found the cache.
Our thanks to larafolk for placing this series.

HAving seen previous log that 10 people couldn't find it and had to PaF, I decided not to spend too much time looking for this one, so continued on the H&H journey.
Have walked along this creek countless times and since caching have thought that it would be a great spot for a series. To honour Her Majesty Liz 2's unofficial birthday we decided to go for a wander seeing as it was a sunny day for a change.
With this particular hide we soon found ourselves in the likely location. It was just a matter of finding the hide. Looking nearby we had an idea of what to look for. Reading previous logs, we were a bit concerned about how long this might take us to locate but it was only a minute or two before someone looked at just the right spot from just the right angle and the cry of "got it!" went up. Not sure our skillset is as strong as our luck was with this one
Thanks larafolk

With a bit of time between events, I wondered " Hmmm, what can I do..." Let's go caching !! With a handful of caches along this track, this was the perfect area to discover some hides. Unfortunately a group were signing the log when I turned up, so I didn't get a chance to search for it. I did get a chance to return the hide though and what a cracker it is !! Well done on your first hide guys. TFTC larafolk

Our ever-growing search party arrived near GZ to try and add another H&H find to our tally for the day. However, the big crowd was not conducive to making a find: Too many bodies were in each other's way - confirmation of our usually preferred style: Two of us hunting, being subtle, having the space and the time to search systematically.
Anyway, here we were, in a big group, with nobody being successful yet, when a group of recent finders walked past, shouting advice about the general direction, elevation, and who was standing closest. Still, no cigar. Eventually, Bushfire came over to give us the all-important guidance, and we all admired the well-camoed hide.
Congratulations larafolk on your first hide, for which we award a favourite point! It is certainly well constructed and does not reveal itself readily. A quality effort.

After this afternoon's event and before dinner, we joined a group that consisted of Suss-Vulture, DBelco, geordiefamily, noWorries, TheCoffee's, Honeysucker and breeandlee, for the walk from the RSL. We were joined by a hint from BushFire at this one, and The Tritonz and DAB arrived when we had returned it.This was our first stop and we found the rations quite easily. We added all our names to the log and moved on to the next one. This one had us looking for a while, with some hotter/colder action from bushfire the cache container was in hand.
Congrats on your first hide.

After attending the first event in Lara, suscoe and the ageing Red Ant decided to fill in the time before the next event by wandering along Hovells Creek to gather these new caches where I had been to some years ago gathering some caches placed by RedPaw.
On arrival we found a fairly new family searching in vain so we joined in the hunt and we were happy for the Mc Treasure Seekers to make the find. Good to see a lot of thought and effort go into this cache so another F.P. from Bushfire.

We decided to enjoy a Saturday down in Lara for the 2 events that were happening today.
Having not been down here before we had a heap of caches to enjoy looking for.
We found this as a group of about 10 people, and still needed a phone a friend, that camo is just too good!
Thanks for the cache and the hide.

Suscoe headed out to the north this afternoon to attend some events and along the way we had a few caches to collect.
We had the Red Ant with us for company and so we went from cache to cache.
This one got a bit busy here with a number of caching teams descending at the same time.
We joined forces, this took a while and thankfully the newest caching team were the finders for us all.
Well done!!!!!!
Thanks to the larafolk for a devilish little cache hide.
A favourite for the fun of the hunt!!!1

As I headed off to find this cache, I spotted AusFox heading in the opposite direction. After a tip off that this one could take a while, I gladly accepted the offer of some assistance and we headed off to GZ. As we approached, a curious local quizzed us as to why people seemed to have been popping in and out of the bushes all day . Fortunately he was happy with a very brief explanation - which was probably a good thing given the size of the group who arrived not long after we left !
Even with a previous finder in attendance, this still took a while to find as we played a game of "hotter" "colder" and even..."you had your hand on it!". Finally however, I spotted something slightly NQR and the cache was in hand. Extracting the log proved just about as difficult, but finally it was signed and we were on our way to the next.
Thanks larafolk for a very devious hide indeed !
