DrKloebner found this cache very quick. Great hint and nice place on our first day in Townsville. Thank you!
Having stayed at the nearby "Sugar Shaker", it would have been plain rude of me not to grab this cache.
I was going to for a 5km trot (that I would live to regret). So I decided to grab a water from the nearby establishment. The perfect cover for hunting for this beast - especially since I was sporting my luggage as well)
Thankfully, I had the cache in hand pretty quick. As previously mentioned, the log is full - but still signable.
A great little place for a cache. TFTC burgo78

A quick find after searching in an obvious place. Not many muggles about considering the location. Might need a new log, the current one is pretty full. TFTC
We walked down here for a steak and a drink. As we finished the meal, we read the the description and a couple of our past finds came to mind. We wandered off and were soon sitting and signing. The log is really full so did it sideways. Thanks again burgo78.
Found during a search for dinner in lively part of Townsville
Excellent cache thanks

My boyfriend and I are in Townsville for vacation, and this cache is super convenient to our hotel. Thanks for the cache!
During our holidays in Australia Mrs.Finefinder and I were also looking for some caches. We travelled from Sydney to Cairns, Darwin, Alice Springs, Adelaide, Melbourne and finally Perth.
So with New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia we have passed through 6 territories.
Many thanks to all owners for hiding, greetings from Switzerland

... with our trip we've finaly fullfilled the surrounding of australia (ok, we took a shortcut: the topend of york peninsular is missing). it's still a fascinating continent and we're sure, that we'll return one day to cross the country from brisbane to perth.
some of the caches seems to be droped by other tourists in the landscape ... lots of DNFs, maybe because of the lack of maintainance. probably there aren't too many australien cachers in the outback? dear owners, hopefully you'll tolerate our standard-log. thanks for the caches and greetings from good old germany.

We had a look for this one because we haven't cached today so we still need to do a daily cache. The GPS led us in the wrong spot but after a bit watching the environment we knew where the hide should be.
Seconds later we signed the logbook.
Thanks for showing. Tftc

The first find on an morning run and mission to reach 1800 finds. Clever hide - tftc
On holiday with my boyfriend in Australia. After visiting the market and the aquarium we found the cache in the afternoon. TFTC
I knew this was going to be easy ...but it wasn't as easy as I thought. More of a "feeling" cache than a seeing cache but it is there safe and sound. Thanks from a kiwi couple in the Main Street, enjoying a motorhome drive about North Queensland. Tftc
Came by on an early morning walk on yet another visit to Townsville. No time to geocache this time but I finally found this one that obviously wasn't there when I DNFed this last year. Pen chose this moment to fail so I took a pic for proof.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Belated log: Found it together with zer0seven, but did not yet log it online.
The story about us finding this cache can be found in the log of zer0seven.

We did a litlle walk through the city centre to get an impression of Townsville. This cache laid on our way and with the hint it was pretty clear where to search. Nice cache "container" and nice place for a hide in a city centre.
Thx!

Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. quick and stealthy find. Now up to Castle Hill.
Last day of holidays, so we decided to grab some caches after going to Reef HQ.
Nice quick find on this occasion.

Somethings fell into place which meant a trip to town was on the cards so we got planning on what to do and which puzzles to try and solve.
It was dark by now so we did wonder if this would help summed up GZ and an idea sparked and we pretty much put our hand on it straight away.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Hi there burgo78 - this cache was a quick find for us on a tourist day in Townsville City. The cache and log are in good condition - SL, although 'GZ' has become detached from the log. We have used a hair clip to re-attach it (temporarily). An excellent placement and container/cache. This is our find #4856 - thanks to burgo78 for this cache.
Pretty quick find once I sussed out the options. Flinders St has changed a lot since I was here 14 years ago! TFTC
On a rainy day in Townsville,
a brief break in the showers and storms happened
So I wandered off to find this cache in the bleak surrounds of Flinder's Mall.
I really don't think the revitalisation is working !!
At least not today !!
The only people around were a few homeless blokes sitting nearby watching the telly
Even the convenience store owner had the time to sort though the stock and move the out of date products to the front of the shelves
I quickly tracked down GZ and had a short 'n' sneaky search.
Nothing felt on me first sweep
And before I could get a bit more determined in me search,
the heavens opened up again ...
... this time with a torrential downpour !! [:o]
I had to retreat !!

It's hard to look inconspicuous with muggles all around but I think I made a good job of it. Signed the log and placed the cache back in its hiding place then noticed a police car had stopped close by!!! TFTC burgo78
I found this yesterday using my Papi Sam's phone and Face Time video. A virtual find!

We got to Australia a bit later than expected but I noted that I had 30 mins before we met for dinner and a cache just outside the hotel so I was off.
I spent quite some time looking at the wrong location based on old logs before noticing I was about 12m out. After getting to the actual GZ it was a quick find.
This is my first Queensland cache and also gets me the souvenir for there being 3 million active geocaches.

Easy find my first morning back in Townsville this year. I did a quick drop and grab of three travelers just so the owners would get notifications of the movement. TB owners are notified when their travelers "visit."
No muggles to worry about. Of course, it helped that I'm out at 7:00 AM on a rainy Saturday morning. Clever hide. TFTC

Had to wait for a family group to move on then as we headed for their seat I made a quick duck in and grabbed the cache. Great hide
After a couple of hill climbs yesterday, this morning I opted for a nice easy walk along the Strand to loosen my stiff legs. On the way, I thought I would stop by this one. Parking was easy, but there were still lots of muggles around the nearby store -some of whom were at the tail end of a big Friday night on the town.
When the coast was clear, I made the find. The container wasn't quite what I expected, but oufnd in good order and without problems. Many thanks burgo78

"Up North" for a weekend away, and out about with Team Luckman. While the girls checked out shoes - apparently - the boys checked out this spot.
Thanks for placing this cache, burgo78. Found in good condition.

8:38:00 PM. Walking back to our motel and as all was quiet decided to attempt this cache. A bit of a look and spied it. Took to nearby seat and signed log before returning. Thats it for us as it is just too hot to be out and about walking even at this time of the night. Thanks burgo78 for the cache.
Found while passing through and stopping in the city. I was sure of the spot but took us a bit before we saw it. The camera looking at the hiding place must be getting suspicious. Thanks
The nineteenth day of our Australian holiday.
We started the day by doping some shopping in Townsville. This gave me the chance to find a cache. And this was as special one. Hidden with fantasy, nice to find such a cache.
We drove to the North and had a lunchbreak in Cardwell, with a nice view on the sea. At about 15 hour we arrived at Mission Beach. This gave us some time to look for the cassowary. We hiked along the coast, but didn't spot any. No caches either.

I expected nothing less than a thorough search from Yurt and I was correct. The cache was muggled so has been replaced. Happy finding.
This cache was tricky and a curios Muggle offered to help find what we were looking for, hint was very helpful. TFTC
A bit easier when it turns out to be the hide type we were expecting. Loved the clue . Thanks, a favourite point from us.
I have repaired the cache and replaced as intended. Thanks to the last two finders for keeping it going as I've already had 3 other hides muggled this week.
Found it on the way back to the motel from the Museum late this afternoon, though the phones were making a better fist of the location than the GPSR, must not like the buildings or the batteries - gps was pointing 34 m away, but the phones were within a few m. Signed and replaced as found, like the previous logs we are not really sure that this was the intended location as it is fairly well hidden from view. Thanks for an interesting urban cache burgo78.
Found this one on our walk back to our accommodation from dinner. Needs maintenance as we don't think we found it where it should have been. TFTC SL
Well I looked high and low and followed the wandering GPSr with no luck trying to make sense of the clue.
Then Mrs SKI took over and digested the information and then took off to make a quick find.
Don't you just hate that! All the same it was great to make the find.
Back on our way through this part of town now and then back to the Strand.

Out on a midnight caching mission to collect the high muggle area caches, I finished work at midnight so I drove into town and parked close to GZ and put the hazard lights on my truck and started searching I was wearing hi-vis clothing and some passers by snuck up behind me and said "Hello" so I replied with "G'day, have you seen any loose wires in the area, I got a call out to come and find them but their description was a bit vague." They said No and continued on their way. So I kept searching and soon had the prize in hand. Great urban hide and hard not to be noticed, so sometimes its best not to hide . Thanks for the hide

Had no possibility to try this in the morning, made a short stop on the way home in the arvo but the place was far too busy to wait out all the muggles.
My wife generously offered to come along at night, could it be thanks to the garlic prawns I cooked? or just love ?
Anyway this time a Monday night the street and square was almost deserted. By a bit of luck I very soon had the nice hide in hand.
Thanks for the cache burgo78, FP awarded
