On a quick cache maintenance bike ride this morning. Checked this one and it is exactly where it should be and in good condition.
Heading homewards after a family holiday at Beechworth, we managed to find many caches.
A quick little multi done in drizzling rain. Quick find, thanks BettyBoo.

We always love a rail trail and this one is no exception. It is a pretty walk along here with a quick find along the way. Thanks!
Exploring rural Victoria as part of the SPINZ team: Sidewaze, paddle chick, Isis58 and Nanzie from New Zealand. I’m really enjoying the landscape and seeing what goes on in this neck of the woods. All the different eucalypts, the pepper trees and other interesting plants. The colourful birds, some quite noisy and some very noisy. The many vistas - - beautiful in sunlight and shade. I loved visiting each and every cache and really appreciate the effort required to hide and maintain them. Thanks to the cache owners. Greetings from Aotearoa / New Zealand, happy caching and if you have yet to visit us across the ditch to see what we have to offer, do make sure you enter such a visit on your “to do” list.
This is my first trip outside New Zealand caching and enjoyed getting this cache with Team SPINZ tftc
After solving this one I went ahead of the rest of our team to find this one. Walked between two trees and got a mouthful of cobweb which then started to move, I looked up and saw a massive spider above my head. I let out a scream and backed off in a hurry, once I calmed down I tried to take a few photos but they didnt come out that great. Having done some research I think it was a Golden Orb Weaving Spider which is pretty harmless but still put the wind up me. It's the biggest spider I've ever seen. We saw another one a couple of days later but not as big as this one. After taking the photos the cache was quickly found. I think this cache deserves a favourite as I don't think I'll forget it in a hurry. Thanks BettyBoo3747

I'm sure you are well aware by now that we were wanting six multis today for a challenge - probably yours. And here we are with number six under our belts - yahoo! You also might have heard paddle chick scream from where you are but that's her story to tell. TFTC # 19,029

Signing the log when sting, sting, sting on my ankle.
Cicovered in bullants, not again.
Ah well the wasp stings have faded so one agony at a time isn't too bad.

A nice, straightforward multi.
Our final day in Wangaratta after attending the recent Mega.
We had intended to hit the trails by bike but although the day was cooler, it was still quite muggy and we haven't ridden much lately. Another time!
So we headed out in the car and worked on a variety of caches. Some from the rail trail and others in surrounding areas. Again we came across a variety of caches.
Our thanks to Geocaching Victoria for organizing the Mega and to local cachers that have given us so many to look for. We've got plenty more to do, so we'll be back!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache BettyBoo3747.

Attending the Wangaratta Mega weekend with the ladies of FurfacesLL, we collected heaps of caches and saw many scenic views along the way. Today we were back on the bike trail, we had a mix of heat, rain, humidity, mozzies and flies.
Picking up where we left off on Friday and it was time to continue our travels. It was a great day out on the trail with lots of laughter along the way. Some finds were nice and quick and some took a little longer, but in the end, we found most. Nice to break up the trads with a mulit, a nice simple one too.
Thanks to the CO for the cache placement for us to all enjoy. Thanks to the FFLL ladies for a fun filled trip away

Day 4 of the Wangaratta Mega with Rapidlywild.
Today we decided to head early to try and beat the heat and call into Beechworth first to do one of the labs there and then it was back onto the trail with the bikes.
Back on the trail and thankfully when we started it was still cool, but it looked like it would be a very warm one.
All caches were found along the journey unless otherwise mentioned.
Great trail and glad we took the time out to make the journey.
Thanks for the hide and maintaining BettyBoo3747

Day 2 of my Mega trip after camping out at Pioneer Creek last night I woke up early to go out and get as many caches before it starts to heat up. Caching from there moving towards beechworth then headed back toward Wangaratta where I will cache throughout the afternoon. Eitherways thanks for the cache and being a part of the day.

Riding from Everton Station to do a bit of a pre-Mega cache check. Visited 12 caches and fixed as required. Also took note of containers requiring attention at my next visit. All good here today.
We worked out the figures last night but needed to come back today to do the walk and pick up as we would have been too late to our accommodation last night.

Treasure found! Had to look I suspicious in the bush when a group of cyclists gathered and then passed! TFTC
This was a simple multi the muggle husband and I collaborated on, as I have led us up the garden path with multis a bit recently. The coordinates we worked out were bang on.
The start of our big day riding the trails. It was cool in the morning but became very warm later in the day. The container was found just where the numbers took us after sorting that out , signed in and we moved on.
Getting tired now.

Out for a ride along the Rail Trail between Tarrawingee and Everton on a cache hunt with Egg Zachary.
After working for the last 24 years in the Rail industry it was good to read about this old line out here. Thanks for the history lesson.
Quickly solved and not long till we had this one done and dusted.

Really enjoyed watching husband work this out. Also enjoyed the lack of spikey killer grass. We continued on route and found this on our return back to the car.
Were a whole lotta fun. Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the local district geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.
Belated log. Out and about with my partner to grab this multi. I had done this one before, and re visiting today I noticd that for some reason I did not log it
Found during an exercise trip into the area pushing the chariot whilst running with the kids! The 5 year old found this one as he had no luck so far for the day!

Robmc and I hit the rail trail for a quick ride around the triangle checking all caches and log books. Did maintenance as required along the way.
I was surprised to find this one missing. Not found since January this year. New container, log book, pencil now back in the hiding place.

### Beechworth Murray to Mountain Rail Trail Everton ###
-----------------------
Day 2
I’ve spent a couple of days in Beechworth
The landscape is beautiful, lots of nature and animals
I’ve done a day trip with my bike today along the Murray to mountain rail trail.
However, weather was nice, about 30 degrees and I had a lovely day
Thank you for the nice caches

Doing the Everton triangle today, 100% success rate so far. Great little multi. TFTC. Dropped off TB
As a non-bike rider, I have been slowly working through the rail trails around Beechworth by walking them (and there are plenty more to do). Like the HSS Basketball, the “Everton Triangle” has attracted my eye as it offered the opportunity to walk a route and not have to walk back the same path (and then get caches the whole way). Didn’t realise the last leg was actually a road, but in the time I walked this I saw one bike rider so was all good. Wasn’t too busy – saw three bikes and a dog walker getting the 3 HSS at the start, 5 bikes from there to Everton and no-one on the leg between Everton and Diffey Road. The geohound enjoyed the walk – in the end we did the 9 (or so) kilometres in just under 2.5 hours. In this time I got 23 finds and 1 DNF (which may be there) and help me achieve my first 50 cache day. Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for putting these caches out. Plenty of good birds calling as well – I have listed a few at individual caches.
This was a nice little multi - clues easy to find at signage, cache a short distance away and easy to find (could spot hiding spot from the rail trail). An enjoyable experience all up.

Hunting for hidden creatures today... getting closer to finding the world turtle! Eldest kid & pup + mum took on the top trail while dad & youngest kid & pup took on the other side of the triangle & we met back up here. Kids pokemoning & hatching eggs as we walked. Love a quick straight forward multi. Tftc BettyBoo3747
Today is the 9th of June long weekend of 2018 and I managed to ride a bike for the first time in 15 years to find a heap of the Rail Trail caches with Joolay, Kitty Katch, Strangetrousers and several others. We signed the logbook as a group under the name Capital Crunches to save space on the logs. We had several DNFs along the way but most of the caches were easy and quick finds. Spotted two rabbits, millions of birds and heaps of farm animals. It was amazing, Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with so many caches in one day it would be too hard to write a different one for each cache. I have included my Geocaching poem within my log for you and anyone else to read. I hope you all enjoy the poem and geocaching as much as I do.
I found this cache on one of the three days caching in this area. Strangetrousers and I collected about 20 caches including a multi, puzzles, an Earthcache and Traditionals before heading back to Canberra and real life (Sadly).
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
***** I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of today the 9th June 2018 my average was 70 words per log, which seems close to the 100 target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After almost 3000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

Took 2 goes to work this out. Lucky it was at the end of day one and came back to find we had one question wrong and then quickly to the cache. Fantastic day riding from Everton to Wangaratta on the 2nd day of riding the trail. Beautiful sunny day and such a lovely area to ride through and great trail. Did not find all as some were tricky. Found with Kittykatch, Canberra Chic, Strangetrousers, Geo Snag1 and Darksidedan (Capital Crunchers) on a caching trip to Wangaratta to ride the rail trail. Thanks for bringing us here

#4130 11th for today
Day 2 of our MMRT trail ride weekend at Beechworth/Wanagaratta.Today I was joined by Kittykatch, Joolay, CBRChic, Geosnag1 and DarkSideDan. So we resumed where we left off yesterday at Everton and managed a much better rythym today, broken only by the occasional difficult find or DNF. I think we rode about 35 Km in total, but it wasn't too bad being mostly long flat stretches. We spotted lots of cows, sheep, some horses and a few goats along the way. Not a few cyclists also passed us also. We even came across a family of first time geocachers and gave them a few hints.

Found with the the Capital Crunchers team. A beaut day out and the caches were challenging - Thanks for the Cache !
Today we had a couple of nice multi's to work on today, and since we appreciate them when we are out caching we seek them out when we can. This was another fun cache for us today.
After finding "Welcome" we moved to the info boards at the posted co-ords and gathered the figures. The weather had cleared up a bit from the morning and it was nice to be there reading and sourcing the data for the hide.
This spot would of been a very busy hub for local trade and business. Being there today you could envisage how much action would of been going on daily. It is quite a significant location.
With the numbers collected and a bit of a stroll the cache was soon located.
SL at 12.20pm. The container and contents are all good.
A favourite point from us. We intend to do the trail caches proper as a day project in the near future. TFTC BettyBoo3747.

After droppimg Bill off to do some of the rail trail, I contiuned into town to find a couple of caches.
We have passed through town a number of times, so today was a select few & then caching on the way back to the caravan park.
After collecting the information at the junction, I placed the new co-ord into the GPS then wandered along the track to find a nice large container.

Out and about with Deep_99. We have just been wandering this excellent trail. History of the station most interesting. If you are doing the trail- highly recommend the Everton caravan park
We think we're a little bit flash, now that we worked out how to set up a waypoint in the new app. Of course the excellent history board added to the enjoyment. We determined where the cache was going to be roughly and, upon getting to gz, l played the old "where would I hide it "game. This time it worked. Huh, aren't we smart? Thanks for this enjoyable one.
I parked at GZ which was a busy spot. I wondered briefly about the cyclist who was shot here a month or so back. Would I get shot?? Who would enter my finds??
Anyway the multi took me away from morbid thoughts and it was a pleasant and absorbing walk to the final
Thanks BB

so it was time to head for Everton Station,

but with new signs [^]
Lovely photos to give an idea of what used to be here.

Hard to believe now
I wandered off with coords in pocket and soon found the cache

TFTC. While we were in Bright we noticed that this Triangle around Everton was mostly green. When we house sat in Milawa inAugust 2015 and then again last May we had put smiley faces on caches in that area. Just means we need to come back and do the triangle. We left Bright this morning to overnight at The Pioneer Bridges in Everton. The plan was to do some of the caches by car with the two of us. Later in the day I would cycle the E2B path for the two newer ones and come down the M2M path later in the day. sounds like a plan.
Interesting to read the sign here while I got the required information. As I was doing so I could here loud noises coming from the nearby bush and thought that it was a goanna ( I saw a fully grown one a bit later in the day). Before I went off for the cache I waited to see what it was and before too long an echidna waddled its way over the road. Always nice to see them! Oh, and the cache was an easy find, thanks.
Geofamily trip to Victoria... Cool!
Mrs Moneydork, Moneydork, sushilord and I left Friday morning for a 4 day jaunt over the border to find a cache or two
Two nights in Wangaratta and then a night in Bendigo left me with 10 DNFs and 205 cache finds one of which was a FTF
Day 2 around Wangaratta and our expected long day of riding was cut short by a malfunctioning pushbike That meant only 100 finds today with 4 DNFs
Read the signs, did the maths and kept on walking
Made a quick find at GZ and it's nice to have a simple historical multi in amongst all of these puzzles and trads [^]

The geofamily are off on another trip to Mexico. Fun, sore backsides (for some) and Dad getting the geomobile stuck and breaking his bike, TWICE were the highlights of the trip. One of the running jokes for the trip was 'If it's 2.5T it's laying on the ground, if it's 2.5D it's under that pile of rocks or in the open, if it's listed as large we are looking for an eclipse tin' which came about due to a number of early finds. The lasting memory from this trip will be the grass seeds!!!

A 4 day trip from Adelaide to Everton, Beechworth and surrounds.
8 of South Australia's finest caching teams came across the border Freddo, Team Astro, The White Dog Gang, Four Fun, Unicycle, Southern Cross Caching, Shonkloic, and Team Waldron hit the bike trails and country back roads.
It wasn't nice the the mozzies were sent to defend the ceches against us but we persisted.
On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.
Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.
A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) , mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants we hitched rides on , realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got to close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. My thanks to the group and the coordination that enabled an amazing fun filled few days that will go down in caching-lore. [^]
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
The point section of track at a split is known as a frog. We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.
One of many fun finds on along the way on the "SAW STUFF" road trip to central Victoria with Shonki, Astro, Waldron, Southern cross, Twdg, Uni & Freddo [^]

**# 14983** Found on an absolutely excellent adventure with Rebel Acts.
A cloudy spring day for a bike ride and fantastic 4wdrive trek around the Beechworth area.
We were on a mission for my 15,000th and Rebels 13,000th finds.
Another one checked off the list and a safe hide at GZ.
Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747,

I was on leave so plans were made to head to the Beechworth area with My good Mate the Roostaman, Today we were on a mission to bring up our Miles stones of 15000 and 13000 cache finds, We had a great day bike riding and Four Wheel Driving. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
did this one when i returned to the car after my hike to b/wth. had a great, (and dry), walk and happy to have ticked of a few more caches. ta 4 the series bb , awesome work.
Down from Canberra with fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune (signed as "FSS") to hit the Mt. Disappointment PT as well as a whole lot of other caches along the way! . Good weather, lots of laughs, a muddy Geo-Jeep and a massive haul of caches equals an epic weekend of caching all round!
Swung by this one as we were collecting the trads in the series along the trail. Gathered all the info needed at we were off for a quick find at GZ Lovely area along the trail!
Thanks for the neat little multi, BettyBoo3747

11640. Found during Day 3 of an epic caching weekend with specimenX and Sol de Lune.
The three of us (usually signing as 'FSS') traveled south this weekend for the Mt Disappointment Power Trail and as many others as possible. After finishing the trail yesterday, we started heading home today via the Whroo and Beechworth regions for another good day of caching. I really enjoy caching around this area. We didn't have much time but we filled many gaps today ! An enjoyable quick Multi. Quick find at GZ for us ! Signed Log, Returned the Cache, and headed off to the next one !!
Thanks again BettyBoo3747 !!

Day 3 of the weekend around the Seymour area with fitzy_1965 and specimenX, and after completing the Mt Disappointment series and with time to spare, we headed home on a longer route.
After grabbing the Whroo series, we headed for one of our favourite areas - Beechworth - you know, just
to grab a few more. Turned out to be a good idea as we found a few that we had previously been DNF's, as well many many new ones. No problems with any of the finds and all caches were in good condition.
Thanks BB for yet another fun, if only for a couple or hours, caching run around the area.

Data collection was straightforward. Once the final coordinates were calculated, it was a short walk. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for another interesting multi.

I thought I had found a cache here before with the same name, and after checking my finds I realised it was a reincarnation of the previous, and this time with some great info to look at.
Numbers were worked out and I jumped on the bike for the short ride to Gz, last cache for the day before camping nearby for the night, ready to tackle the 20 odd in the triangle tomorrow.
TNLN , TFTC , Cheers.

#1928 At the junction of the two former railways we were impressed by the big new flash interpretive signs. We enjoyed reading the history provided on the signs whilst in the process collecting the numerals to calculate a gz. It was then just a short stroll, short search and a long arm and the cache was in hand. TFTC BB.
Mr harrowang dutifully noted the numbers needed for this one, while Mrs harrowang found the traditional nearby. A short wander along the rail trail found us at GZ and SL at 11.39am. Took: snowflake charm. LN #3687 TF a reincarnation cache at this popular place. We were very impressed with the new sign boards too. Seems we will have to bring our bikes next time and find the other new ones. TFTC BB
I had done the tradition version of this cache, so went down to the bike intersection to look at the multi version.
The new boards look very flash! Didn't take long to extract all the required information and work out GZ.
A fairly spectacular photo of Everton station - not too much of that left now.
There was a lot of infrastructure listed here, but none of it left now except the Rail Trail
A short walk and the cache was in hand.
Thanks, Robmc..

Having the starting coordinates only from the photos taken of the board I went back today and did a proper waypoint averaging with the GPS. Slightly different coordinates so here they are.
