How can this "bonus" cache be located with half the series caches (not archived) but disabled and cache containers removed?
March has been such a busy month, but not so much with getting out and about to indulge in finding some caches for myself. So what better way to remedy this than have a few days away in an area not previously cached out?
Cue a weekend of touring around the Tongariro National Park in good company. Exactly what I needed, and a weekend that would see me find over a hundred caches, including getting my 4000th.
I knew this would be a long day, both starting and finishing in the dark, but I hadn't quite expected to be out caching for 16 hours straight lol. But it was a very productive and interesting day, so it was all worth it in the end.
This LOTR series of caches has been on my radar to do for years, but I don't get up this way all that often. So today my mate seemed happy to let me get some (he's already done them all) whilst he just enjoyed watching me toil to find the caches.
After grabbing myself a coffee to refresh myself after the bush walk, I was encouraged to go for another walk which would give some splendid views over the lower slopes of Ruapehu and across to Ngauruhoe. Obviously this would also enable me to grab a few other caches along the way, including this one. Encountering no issues with the container or the contents, the log was quickly signed and the whole thing replaced as found before continuing my walk to a place where I could actually sit for 5 minutes to enjoy my coffee lol!
Thanks for setting up this cache.

It was nice to finally get this extra LOTR cache. It has been a tiring time on the mountain today completing the series and other caches here. To finish here took some effort on the tiring body in the late afternoon heat in the climb to GZ. Quickly spotted. Thanks so much for the cache and series.
I found the heroes yesterday, but was not ready to come and collect the final - so today was the day! Not that I walked less or something, but better not forget, right? After that I was ready to get some food before heading back to the car. TFTC!!
We have really enjoyed walking the trails and finding all of the caches in this series over the last couple of days so were very keen to find this bonus cache as well.
Unfortunately we had missed one of the codes but managed to work out some plausible coordinates and were very pleased to find the cache this afternoon. And a nice big container too.
Thanks so much yorkshirekiwi83 for the effort you have gone to placing all of these caches.
A favourite point from us.

Did the circuit around Silica rapids track today and then had sufficient numbers to make the find, especially after double checking a couple that had been found some time ago. TFTC
First day of autumn: the original plan for today was to try Tongariro Alpine Crossing, but we felt it could be too much. And we were not sure about the weather as well.
So we changed plans and choosed the easier hike to Silica Rapids, which was a very good idea.
And now - at the end of the day - there was still a bonus cache to find. We don't log this cache in actual chronological order, but just at the of the day, because we don't want to hint where the bonus cache is hidden.
We found most of the fellowship caches - all but Gandalf and Legolas - and we are happy, that those finds were enough to collect all the needed bonus information. So is was no problem at all to find out where the cache is hidden and we found it there immediately.
Here comes the next well earned FP. Thank you very much for showing us this area and having a fine day here. Thank you for the cache!

this was made a wee bit harder after having the chateau high tea lunch so the trip up was not so quick thanks you so much for all the adventures this series gave me. it was great that you had set this up for the Turangi mega 2016. thanks for the LOTR yorkshirekiwi83 gets a fave
Arrived in Whakapapa (Middel Earth) we decided to do two hiking tours.
The coordinates were exactly measured and with the hints the cans could be found well.
The values for the bonus were written down and so the bonus could be found.
They were very nice hiking trails with great views into the nature.
Thank you for this wonderful round and for hiding the cans.
Many greetings from Cologne from Pöni.

Thank you for guiding us through Middle-Earth. We loved your tracks! All the hides are matched so well to the figures of the cache name Yesterday we started this track but unfortunately we realized too late that we missed some numbers for the bonus. So we had to start once again the first caches of LOTR to get the missing numbers. Now we are proud to log the bonus and leave a favorite point for the hole track Thanks
Today is the day we come to get the bonus.

Quickly found. We finished this puzzle yesterday but knew we would return for the other parts of the trail and guessed the other puzzle might be close. Thanks for the caches to creator and the adopter.
Today we make an other walk...LOTR. This is a really nice one. Thank you dear Owner for the top conditions.

Saw this series of caches when they were published and really haven't had the opportunity to ever look at coming up here to attempt them. When the opportunity arose that this series was up for adoption, I decided to contact the CO and sent yorkshirekiwi83 an email saying that we were happy to adopt them as we didnt want to see them being archived. Yorkshirekiwi83 was happy and willing to let me adopt them, decided that we should go and find the caches before adopting this series of caches .
A plan was to come out here and spend the weekend near the start of the track, so a plan was hatched on Christmas Day 2018, we checked out the accommodation and Mrs Yeetrees said that she had always wanted to stay at the Chateau Tongariro, as her family was a legacy visitor, but that is another story.
After the accommodation was all booked it was just a matter of planning the trip, and saving the funds [xx(], well a plan was set in motion..... and the start of the journey from there and back again.
We meet up with bkj97 and The Little Blue Hen while we out and about and had mentioned that we were going to go up the mountain attempt this series, they said that they were happy to come along as well if we didn’t mind the company, well twos company more are cachers, why not as two eyes are better than mine as I am know to be blind, so the plan was amended for a team effort [^].
Today was the day two of our two day visit on this lovely mountain and we decided that we would finish off the LOTR series, having made our way up here on Friday night with bkj97 being our most gracious chauffeur who go us to our accommodation safely last night [^].
After finding GC6J6D5 - Underneath the Mistletoe, I knew that there was a bonus cache up here somewhere, but where was it yes I know up here somewhere, thank goodness I had all the numbers that I required to find the bonus.
The walk to Final GZ was very enjoyable as we made our way up the track on the gradual gradient, as we near GZ, we soon checked the hint and soon spotted the hiding spot for the cache and soon spotted something managed to find the cache in the most obvious spot.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced logbook and replaced the cache back into its hiding spot. Thanks yorkshirekiwi83 for placing this cache series here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (14365).
Was really glad to be able to finally finish all the cache in the series and replace the missing caches as well. Giving this cache a favourite point for the series as I dont have enough favourite points.

Glad to make it up to this one which completed the series. What a lot of work went into this series. Another favourite here and hope others enjoy it as much as we did. Tftcsl
And this completed the series with yeetrees and bkj97. I would thoroughly recommend the series as a fun way to explore the fascinating alpine area with plenty of accommodation options nearby. My legs tell me two days would be a better option but if you are well organised the quest can be completed in one day weather and fitness willing. Favourite for the series added. T4tcsl
After breakfast, D4nielB and me went out to look for the LOTR bonus caches for all the caches we found yesterday.
Since we had found all bonus numbers for this one, it was no problem to calculate the coordinates. And on gz it was an easy find.

Today, before heading to Napier, Jul1ane and me took the chance to find the bonus caches for the cache rounds we did yesterday.
For this one we had all bonus numbers, so the coordinates were no problem, and we found the container without problems.

We got up early in order to finish this LOTR series in order to head to Hobbiton. We got all the caches and it took us 3.5 hours for the remaining caches that we hadn't time for yesterday. We apologise for the same log for all the caches but there were simply too many. Thank you for the caches. We gladly leave a favo.

Enjoying the weekend in Whakapapa Village to get some hiking training in for my upcoming big hike of the Green Gully Track in OZ. Today I enjoyed a stunning day exploring the Lower and Upper Tama Lakes collecting some more of the LOTR on the way. Now before dinner up that way to find the last unfound geocaches in town. Fav given for the LOTR. TFTC
Today was focused on hiking in the wunderful Whakapapa area. The weather was nearly good, only interrupted by some rainfalls. The boxes were almost easy to find, as it should be on a long powertrail.
Thanks for the caches!
Thanks for the caches!
Well, what a sting in the tail! I couldn't believe where my gps was telling me to go. We were quite tired by now, but committed and decided that it was definitely worth finishing off the series. I really enjoyed the whole series and it was a pleasure to have accurate co-ordinates throughout. A favorite point for the series. Thanks for an enjoyable day yorkshirekiwi83.
Wow there are highs and lows this is my 4000th cache ...happy as ....then when the GPS showed me where it was ....another steep grind and I was so tired ....but guess I will remember it ...thanks YK83 awesome series and most enjoyable and a fav for the series.I really appreciate your efforts thanks
Today we had our third day in National Park Whakapapa and made a trip around the wonderful walks here. Special emphasis had we on the vulcanic mountains around us. On this trip we searched, found and logged many caches, too. The weather was bad in the morning, not sunny, but it got better and worse all day long, including raining from time to time. Only sometimes then there was some sun to be seen.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had better things to do than observing two geocachers.
The yesterday collected and constructed coordinates were quite correct. Thanks to yorkshirekiwi83 for showing us this location and for the fun we had at LOTR19 - Bonus (Fellowship). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Managed to get all the numbers, and the checksum worked, so headed along here in the afternoon, in the snow. Found the nice large container after a few minutes. A great finale to the LOTR fellowship sub-series! TFTC.
Found with our 2 and 5 y.o. T4TC. Great trail. Thanks! We didn't find letter F in any of the caches, but the checksum helped, as we had the rest. Then a quick dash today between snow showers and the cache was on hand.
I parked my snail shell up at the Ohakune Club and then gadded about picking up a few caches here, there, and everywhere.
I meant to get this and the other two on this track back at the start of October 2016 but was unable to.
Cheers for the cache.

Many thanks to the CO for the nudge as I forgot to pick up one of the missing code numbers yesterday. Of course I figured out this morning that it wasn’t a biggie if I could do a little maths. So I did a little maths and it all worked out fine. This LOTR series has been very well planned and executed. All the caches were in good condition and skillfully hidden at ideal locations. For this reason it gets a fav from us. TFTC

Today in very nice weather we have made the round LOTR. The round takes us to beautiful viewpoints and great waterfalls over. All cans were good to find. Thank you for laying.

We have to confess we got to the end and found we were three numbers short. One we could guess because it was a minute. The check sum gave us a pretty good idea of the likely numbers for the other two. However we were unable to find a board or a cache so our guesses must be wrong. Such a shame at the end of a super walk with some great caches along the way. Thanks for going to all the trouble. We are sorry we could not find them all.
on our journey through neeseeland we visited many beautiful places,

Find number 3748. I had a plan today to collect a First to Find in Owhango, Complete the LOTR series and end up in Taurmarunui to have dinner with my brother. So it was out of bed at 5 am and straight on the road. I arrived at Owhango at 7.40 and achieved the First to Find. Stage 1 completed. Then arrived at Whakapapa about 8 and decided to shout myself a big breakfast before starting. I did the 3 loops in numerical order 1-19 then 20-33 and finally 34-49. I managed to find all the caches (Stage 2 completed) and a few others as well. In the end I achieved a total of 56 finds with only 1 not found and that was "Naki Splash" (too many muggles round). Total walking time was 8 hours. And still made it to dinner by 6 pm. (Stage 3 completed). Thank you for all the placements.
Time for a bonus. I made my way up to this one. The co-ords I had got me to the area and with the help of the hint I soon had the cache in hand. I was able to crouch down out of view from the muggles up at the nearby structure.

During our wonderful vacation in New Zealand Lupid, me, and our little geocaching apprentice managed to find some caches.
Today we visited the Tongariro N.P. As we thought the crossing would be a little bit too much for the little one, we decided to go to the Silica Terraces, and so we did
A nice hike with a lot of caches to find. Fortunately nearly all of them were easy to find - otherwise we might have stopped searching for them as the walk and enjoying the nature were our main goal for today. But as it is, it was a nice add-on to the beautiful walk.
And as we gathered all the information for the bonus, we just had to go there too
Thanks for the caches and greetings from Germany, Sibuk

We did the 1st LOTR serie on our day off after tongariro crossing, it was an awesome guide through an easy and really nice walk ! The hunt for the bonus cache was really nice, great view over there, thanks for the all serie and fav this one the whole.
We are staying at Turangi on a short holiday with muggle family members and trying to fit in a little caching when we can.
We took the opportunity at Whakapapa today to find this bonus cache still waiting from our LOTR caching a couple of months ago. The cache was quickly found and all in good order. It is a lovely walk up here through beech forest. Today we had the rare treat of discovering some native mistletoe in full flower as we walked back down.
Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the LOTR trails. Gets a FP.

Wow! Luckily I didn’t do this track yesterday, a very big day and you make me finish it like this!!? You have no mercy . Great series and glad I found the bonus!! TFTC
I'm from Norway, escaping the cold winter and travelling around New Zealand for 7 weeks, using geocaching as my tourguide. Today I started my day biking down The Old Coach Road, that was a very nice experience with lots of interesting history and a beautiful scenery. Afterwards I drove up to Whakapapa and did the wonderful LOTR-series around the Taranaki Falls-track. I finished my day by driving up to the end of Bruce Road and watched the beautiful sunset from up there.
I simply just LOVED the LOTR-series, it's the perfect powertrail. Nice easy finds, no need to step off the trail, well-maintained caches, beautiful scenery, and even two bonus-caches!!! I only had time (and energy) for 34-49 today, wish I had more time, so I could do every cache here. Thank you sooo much for making this series, I had soo much fun. Favouritepoints will be added to the 2 bonuscaches.
About this cache:
Had to run to the car last night, to get to my accomodation before they closed, so I had to come back for the bonus today. Beautiful location for this one. Quick find thanks to the hint. Thank you again!!!

Found during a day in Tongariro National Park. Nice walking tour to the Silicia Rapids. All caches of this series could easily been found du to good coordinates and helpful hints.
Somehow, I missed to collect the code for B, but with the checksum the missing number could been calculated. Ok, I need a second try had a mistake in my notes. But finally I got some plausible coordinates and could search for the bonus.
Thanks for this nice series.

After finishing the Silica Rapids circuit yesterday we were one value short, so thanks to the checksum we had the missing digit. It is many years since we walked this track and enjoyed completing it again on a beautiful blue sky day.

Spent the afternoon checking out all the series, making repairs and replacements where needed. All sweet and good to go. Enjoy!
After a short break we left our car in the hotel and went by foot to begin the first part of the series. The weather was still great. This track was awesome again and we took a lot of photos. Mostly we had no problems to find the caches because the coordinates were exactly messured and fairly hidden. So we searched little by little and collected the numbers. But nearly at the end of this part of the series we had to recognize, that we had missed two numbers. But we had luck, because we met the ownerin just in the moment we searched for the penultimate cache. She helped us with a hint and we also had a nice conversation . Nice to meet you!
We had not the whole coordinates but with the hint and the intuition of Je we could find the Bonus-Box.

Day # 14 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Today was supposed to be a very special and extensive caching-day
Around and of course in the wonderful Tongariro Natiol Park everything was extreme :
- The weather went from 'slightly sunny' to 'close to awful' [B)] over the day.
- The walking-distance on my two feet counted more than 22 kms, burning more than 1000 calories (Did not count the elevation-meters ...)
- Counted 65 (!) finds over the day, including the complete LOTR-series (only 1 DNF [xx(]), a beautiful earth cache [^], a mega-mystery , a cute letterbox [^] and several handsome traditional caches at the side of the road .
My personal highlight of this great day came on top of it all: I made my find **#10,000**
- a multi-cache with a great name: Chateau Tongariro [:X] - wow! ...
How lucky I am [:o)] ....
After completion of the whole LOTR-series, there was one more challenge left : Get this bonus box!
Oh, dear owner, you really made my day by guiding me to this new trail . If the weather would have been less misty and rainy, sure the view from this place must be great . But today this was just another trail up, trail down [xx(].
Anyway, really enjoyed it and say thank you for this awesome series! [:X] [^]
I left a favorite point at this bonus , and also one along the route [^] [:X].
Hey - dear owners around Tongariro - you have cool caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
And of course a special thanks [:X] [:X] to yorkshirekiwi83 for providing the great LOTR-series **AND my #10.000-multi** - this is awesome! [^]

The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is certainly a great thing to do, but we weren't up to it. Too many kilometres and not enough caches. We chose the Silica Rapids Track and the Fellowship of the Ring instead.
The walk along the stream, through the beech forest and the swamp was very pleasant, we even met a fantail who followed us for a while and we found 20 caches. We found all our heroes, collected the information for the earthcache and discovered the nearby puzzle cache. In the end we had noted all the codes for the bonus cache but one that we could calculate with the checksum. We were surprised to find the bonus cache so far away from the trail, yet the coordinates couldn't be wrong ... finally they lead us to another great viewpoint.
Many thanks for all these caches! A favourite point for the trail.

On our last day there were just three caches in this area left. After breckfast we went on this short walk to find these. A big thank you to every owner in this area. We had some great days here!
We give a favorite point to the bonus of this great powertrail.

This morning I decided to go hiking around Whakapapa Village und trying to find some geocaches on my way. I started with Whakapapanui Track. All caches LOTR20-33 were nice and easy to find, a good start for the day. I also found two caches at LOTR24, I decided to write in the bigger one.
After the Whakapapanui Track I hiked the Silica Springs Track, which was also very nice to walk. The wind and rain was stronger now, but I found all caches from the LOTR series (3-18), and also the bonus cache. On my way, I found all the informations needed for the earth cache "GC66TEH - Silica Rapids". Great spot, and I could also find the nearby mystery "GC6XAMX - NZMega 2016".
Back in Whakapapa Village and much time left at the afternoon, I decided to hike the Ridge Walk also. Took me a while to grab the two caches on the way due to many muggels, especiually at the top of the walk. But it was worth to wait a while....shot some nice pictures of Mt. Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu.
Overall a veeery nice day, and thanks for all the nice caches in this area.

Travelling around New Zealand we visited the Tongariro National Park. This morning we walked to the Silica Rapids. Weather was wonderful and we enjoyed to be in this beautiful area.
We were very happy to find the "Bonus" as well, because we had forgotten to write down two numbers.
Thanks for hiding and greetings from Germany

At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.

Found this cache together with SpookyEyes while we where in the area and had to wait for the weather to get better so we could do the tongariro crossing. We used the time to look for some caches. Thanks for hiding it. Greetings from Austria.

One last (but by no means least ) cache to do while around Whakapapa. Made the walk to find the Fellowship Bonus and complete the LOTR series. Great views from here. Many thanks for the great series of caches that got us out walking some very picturesque tracks. Adding a favourite point on this one.
On me stroll today,
I had been finding clues to this cache.
So back at camp I decided to find out what to do with them
Oh dear !!
Seems I am a couple of clues short of a full deck !!
Checksum to the rescue !!
And after feeding the numbers I had into the Bat-Computer,
it came up with five possible locations for this cache !!
"Holy Puzzle Caches Batman", chirped Robin.
"Which is the correct location ??".
"Elementary my dear boy wonder,
only one of those locations is next to a walking trail." replied Batman.
To the Batmobile !! [:o]
And after a short run up a rather steep hill
I reached me dodgy GZ ...
... and found a cache
Well that mops up the heroes part of the LOTR !!
I will attend to the villains tomorrow
TFTC !!
Bring on the rain Huey !!
I'm going to find the villains and their 'secret' cache,
no matter what Mother Nature tosses at me

Afer completing the last LOTR trad and having calulated where this cache was over night, I headed back up the Bruce for the find. Had taken a bit of help from others at the MEGA, as I had kept forgetting to check the lids for the numbers, and was missing some important ones. So had done a bit of swapping of numbers, trading of for what theyt had missed getting. TFTC
Had passed a couple reading the sign at the begining of the track. They had taken so long to come down, that I had to hide around the corner, so as not to end up passing them agin heading out.
Have realy enjoyed the LOTR searies. Great wondering around the tracks and the views (when it wsn't raining) were fantastic.
Thankfully I didn't know that I had actually fractured my foot on the first day, when I had rolled it, as I would have missed out on most of it. TFTC's

After having a fabulous day yesterday we returned here to complete the LOTR series and also get this bonus cache as we were too tired to get this one. A nice quick find then we continued on our walk up the hill
What a great day, fabulous weather, nice clean and dry finds, but a big walk to the last one of this series
Thanks for the series. In turangi for our first Mega and we are enjoy in

rustynz and I followed fire-mansam and fuzzyfruit up the hill to get this one , plus a trad nearby !

We had decided to do as many of the caches in the Chateau area today as possible. We teamed up with 2 vehicles and six of us. Two vehicles proved to be the right way to go today. To save log sheets we signed and logged ourselves as team HRBP. Tracks were in very good condition and caches found fairly easily with good Co Ords and hints given. SLTFTC
On leaving the MEGA our group of rebel98, supernanny, fire-mansam, fuzzyfruit and gorby spent the day looking for caches. We remembered to collect the co-ords from the caches, getting the numbers to the final of LOTR Fellowship (the heroes!) trail. Its been a long day, but we have more caches to find.
On the logs we were Team MEGA (or was it The MEGA, MEGA 2016, MEGA team), but for this cache we signed it individually
Thanks for creating this trail, maybe its time to get back to the MEGA?

Logging this one slightly out of order in order to keep it from being found unintentionally.
Another great part of the series and a wonderful place. So many different areas and sights.
I am rather tired from all the walking today and around 48 thousand steps well...

Day 3 of the Mega. Mike-miss joined forces with Team BOP for the day and we had a great time tackling the tracks together. The weather was perfect with not a cloud in the sky when we started in the morning and for most of the day. Today we needed sunscreen, not jackets.
The walking tracks brought us to some amazing and changeable scenery, with stunning background images of the four mountains (Taranaki included).
It was a relief that we were heading towards this bonus anyway. It wouldnt be too efficient having to back track.

Out on the trails with Team BOP (Davidson Clan, TNXPro and Phillip.Perry) for the day walking the LOTR series. We made the effort to strategically place three vehicles at different locations to minimize extra walking and exertion which ended up working extremely well. The weather was stunning with awesome views and we all had a fantastic time during our adventures of the day. We took just on 6 hours to complete the trails with all caches found and some extra bonus ones added for good measure. A big highlight of our MEGA weekend was completing this series of caches. Thanks very much for placing this series for us all to find and also a big thanks to Team BOP for allowing us to tag along with you for the day, we both had a great time
Collected all the numbers for the bonus, but after completing the two loops at a fast pace, we left this one to pick up the next day, once we realised it's final location. Signed as GCSB (Geocaching Silly Bastards).
This cache wrapped up our day. With this log you have now become part of two caching milestones for me. #1: This was my biggest caching day ever. Previously my busiest day was 28 caches. Today I found 43. #2: You are now the cache hider that I found the most hides by. The previous record was 32 (which took me years to build up) and I have now found nearly 50 caches that you own! Thanks for all the awesome caches!
One of the last finds of the day this one. Thankfully it had cooled down a bit so this uphill trek wasn't tooo arduous to get the smiley.

Out and about with Team Welsh grabbing some caches while attending Mega. Thanks.
I am attending my third Mega and they just keep getting better. It was a great bonus. An excellent series.
This was our final find of this series (with thescoobydoos). We were pretty tired by the end of our turangi/whakapapa day. My phone estimated that i walked over 23 km but i think it was a lot more... Awesome series, thanks again for setting it all up.
Second day of exploring areas whilst at MEGA2016, the aim was to collect all the LOTR caches, so we teamed up with Riser5, tikitour and childofatom (Cully the puzzle guru) and we set off for the day, firstly we completed the taranki falls loop (which is by far the better of all the walks, if only a cache was behind the falls lol), then completed the silica rocks walk entering the track closest to the i-site, which is by far the easiest way to walk this loop, for these cache finds we logged as TANIWHAs. Then once collect the ridge track caches the group dispersed (and we luckily had our car at the bottom of the last walk) and we completetd 20-33 under tjay and raptor. So Yes we completed our goal and collected all 50 LOTR caches today, 7 hours (with a lunch stop) what a mission. But also collected the other caches in this area.
Tftc. Was a big bonus....wasn't sure we were going to have a chance to get this one today. But it worked out well in the end.
Another day out caching from the NZ MEGA. With cache buddy Nosynel and new friend Natalie247 and I'm lucky to have my muggle BF come along too. Great views on a lovely day. Thanks so much for the caches.
Mr TW and TF completed the series on an beautiful day as part of the MEGA. They had a great day and no problems in locating any of the caches. Many thanks Sophie for all your efforts on these caches and of course the MEGA. TFTC Fav point from us on behalf of half of the series.
Found with team Taniwha....incredible walk and feel just like we are in Middle earth....really enjoyed the caching today and appreciate the work you have put into creating the series, thank you. Won't finish the 'places' caches today so will have to come back.........this was a little hard on the legs after two big walks !!! but thanks for the caches and the views.
No matter how straight forward these type of collecting codes for a puzzle cache are, it's always a relief to find the final & know you've done it right. Another awesome LOTR's series completed. Thanks for all the effort you put into setting these up YK83. It definitely gets a fav from us for the series.
