29-Nov-24
As we have a problem logging caches here on the island, mainly because we are operating without the local SIM card in our phones, I leave the logging till I get back into my accommodation where I have access to the wi-fi. So Im going with a generic log on a few of the caches we find. We are logging as VIIPERS. Thanks for the cache.

28-Nov-24
A group of caching friends are visiting from the mainland and enjoying the scenery while caching. The log was signed as team (viipers) who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, Ronice88, icybeetas and myself. Emily bay is so picturesque. We spent the afternoon on the glass bottom boat tour and I couldnt get over the amazing array of coral and fish in the bay

28-Nov-24
A group of geocaching friends consisting of Val (cybergran V), Ian (half of the team Riddell) Ian (icybeetas) Pam (weirdobiker) Evelyn (SciFiRulz), Ronice (Ronice88) and Sylvia (half of team Riddell) are touring Norfolk Island with the aim of finding every cache here. This was a quick find of a cache in good condition and the log signed as Viipers to save space. Thank you endeavour3 for placing and maintaining it as this cache enhanced our visit to this beautiful island.

So lovely down here today Alice! So fab.So idyllic.Today for us its like Norfolk has been a myth or has at least has been in the imagination mirrored by faded school lessons for so longnow the dream to visit Norfolk Island is real! The holiday suddenly looks busy busy with a schedule of tours, events and 70+ caches to find. From the first step on the island everything has been fabulous. TFTC

17-Nov-24
After lunch at Emily Bay, we headed up to walk along the coast path, marvelling at the range of blues in the ocean today and the spectacular rock formations. Poor Alice was very nearly grown over and quite challenging to sit upon, so we attempted retrieval from the back and were successful that way. I imagine it would be quite a good view were it not for the foliage! TFTC, endeavour3. =^.^=

So sad, our week on this beautiful island is nearly over. Today is our last full day on the island and although we have been to this part of the island with all it's history several times we have not found any of the caches here. This morning while there seemed little stirring around our accommodation our group, The Woof Patrol (Calypso62, Gatherer Hade, FunFurMe, Chookie, Goldberry17 and me) set off early hoping to finish off the south-eastern part of the island. We wandered around Emily Bay then came up along the cliffs to see what Alice could see.Not much these days if she used that seat!TFTC # 6072

#14377 9:45The second day of Geo Adventure 2024 with a group of geocachers visiting Norfolk Island. This morning we started with an organized bus tour of the island. We learned a lot about the fascinating history of the island and the various settlements. This was another beautiful spot where we got off the bus, and immediately wandered off in search of Alice. Whilst the bus driver was tooting the horn and our tour guide shouted to get back into the bus as "he did not have all day" we found a logged this cache.TFTC Endeavour3

After having found Emily Bay, we continued towards Alice, a little unsure about which level to be on. Eventually we found the place, and noted that Alice could not see much of the pretty views from her place.

05-Nov-23
Quick find after an early morning swim. We just love this coast line.

23-Oct-23
I came to Norfolk on a huge 108000 tonne beast called a cruise ship which quickly overwhelmed the island population. Upon arriving in the main town, and a quick coffee it was time to cache. We went for a walk to Kington to see the sights down by the ocean, and found caches along the way. Then after a friendly local drove us back to town, there were more caches near the tender port, cascade. Loved Norfolk, bon voyage. God hint, seat getting devoured by plant life. Tftc

T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Big GrinAfter my event in town this morning we headed to Kingston to attend the CITO, collect all the caches and adventure labs, and take in all the history. It took us most of the day to get it all done! A very windy walk from the nearby Earthcache brought us to GZ (which was very nicely sheltered from the wind) and T-Tech made a quick find. TFTC, endeavour3.

21-Jul-23
During July my wife and I took a break from Melbourne and spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.

In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.

In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC Smile

Such a delightful place around here. The beauty of Bay, the ocean, the islands, the history. So much of what is wonderful about Norfolk can be found just around this GZ.

18-Jul-23
Took more than a minute but worth the view! Tftc.

21-Jun-23
TFTC - 21 June 2023, Nice view

18-May-23
A few too many muggles around this area earlier in the week, so I never attempted to track down this cache. Back in the bay today though, it was very quiet so it was a perfect time to move in for a hunt. Big Grin

I didn't think I would find 'that' at the top, but it made for somewhere to rest up once the container was in hand. Sadly, the greenery is overgrowing its surroundings and when sitting, you can't see a thing. Twisted

I located the cache, extracted the log, added my name and returned everything as found.

Cheers endeavour3 & TeamAstro.

Oh I am thinking it a magnetic so it won't be on wood or its hanging in a bush! Dog. It's easy after you find it. Thanks for the cache.

We parked nearby, and I made the slog directly up the hill. Needed a rest at the top Wink The cache was quickly found and logged. Took the easier less direct route back. Thanks for the cache.

07-Feb-23
Mobile GPS issues stopped me from finding this one quickly, but it was well worth the effort. Perhaps the view from here could be improved by a little gardening...

04-Feb-23
After searching long enough to feel our feet burningn we were starting to wonder why everyone said this was an easy find. At last the cache was found by Ktbrwn1 after I completely overlooked it. Thanks for bringing us here, a trail we would have missed otherwise!
