Today’s plan was to get a few caches to accumulate some of the souvenirs available for the Hidden Creatures challenge. Met up with gunnie69 at Eagleby who had an ambitious plan for the day. It started with questioning our beliefs in mythical creatures, finishing off a series of ones around Mt Warren Park.
Cache 23 of 29 for the day.
Thanks tinka75 for the hunt and the cache!

Ghostgums and I were pretty uncomfortable hunting this one and the lower GPS accuracy induced by the large tree at GZ, made it dificult to get an idea where the container might be.
We attempted to stealthily scan the area, cautious of the nearby dwellings and that there could well be many sets of eyes on us. After ruling out some options, there was only one place left and Ghostgums moved in and quickly located the cache. He stayed in place for business, grabbed the clue to the puzzle, then quickly replaced the cache and moved on.
Cheers tinka75.

Well I suppose that there was only going to be one place for this cache to reside, so over I went to retrieve the beastie. Signed the log and returned as found. TFTC
I can see why Dave needs a rest after coming down that super steep hill!! luckily a quick find was made whilst I caught my breath. Tftc
Found with lisylou and mnance101 and remsjw found it hard to read but got there
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Remsjw, Bennyboppers, and Lisylou). Hard to see the full code with the writing on top. TFTC!

Another fine Winter day for a trip around town while at Beenleigh for a few days.
Lots of muggles around today and a few more good safe hides.
I sprung the 4hawkers here as they were logging the cache and startled one of them for a few seconds.
We then chatted for a while and departed in different directions.
Thanks for the cache tinka75,
Roostaman

We were sprung by another cacher for the first time. Glad to find something that hasn't been found for 6 months.
Quickly found but the ants were ravenous and ran all over me. It took all my might to sign the log and survive the ant plague attack. Tried to read the clue but it wasn't dark enough for my light to work and the ants were just too hungry. Will be back to get the clue one night as it needs to be done in the dark. TFTC
Nice one . Ants have colonised the cache. Luckily they are just little ones but lots of them.
Boy, what a hike! And to think, we have to come back here when we acquire a UV light. Still, worth it for the smiley. tftc
Enjoyed doing this series, each one led us to parts of Beenleigh I had rarely visited. TFTC
Out for a day of caching with DiamonJs and RoddyC. We visited parts of Beenleigh I had never been to. Thanks to all the COs whose caches we visited today.
The last day of January 2017. How time flies! Today we will pass a mini milestone of 5,500 geocache finds since September 2014.
Mrs RoddyC and I had some Vouchers for a lunch in a restaurant at Southport, so we invited DiamonJS and Joojoo57 to join us for some caching before and after, Mrs RoddyC had a job to do at WIndaroo first, so the morning was spent around there while she was at work. After lunch, we had time for just four caches before we were due back home.
Steep hill from the lower wide where parking is easier. DiamonJS found the cache just above where I thought I was looking. Clue found OK. Now on to the next for another view perhaps?
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 10.05am on 31st January 2017. TFTC

I am heading to Tweed head and have allowed a few days caching along the way from Toowoomba.
Over 2 half days and 2 full days caching I found over 130 caches.
Today was my second full day caching and found over 50 caches again.
Found after a short search.
Thanks for the cache.

I had done a few of this series a while back. I had some spare time today so I decided to finish it off.
I have not been around this part of town before. It was nice and quiet at GZ and it was a nice quick find. Another clue collected.

I parked on the down hill side and walked up the path. Boy! Is that hill steep?
Luckily, this was a quick find as I never enjoy searching for caches in front of houses.

**Smilie #4187**
As there aren't a lot of full day's caching around home anymore we decided to head south & pick up some smilies on a few newer releases & a couple of oldies but goodies.
The longest part of our visit here was the walk down the hill & the stagger back up to the Geo-beast after signing! LOL ...
A nice quick find.
Great exercise!
All good with the cache.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

We are cleaning up some green boxes in the area this was the first for the day TFTC
Needed a cache today to collect our souvenir. Looked at a couple of others but decided too far away.
A quick search of the maps and we spotted this one. Signed the log, but will come back with our tool to collect hint.

It felt like a sleepy little town as I rolled on through the streets this morning. Going by the description about the view, I expected hills but holy heck this street is insane. I'd imagine walking the footpaths around here would certainly keep you fit tinka.
I parked down the road a bit and wandered on back to that beautiful tree. Thankfully all the homes around GZ had their doors and windows closed so I was able to search quite easily and soon found a nice clean log.
I signed in, grabbed the FTF prize and the code of course.
Thanx again tinka75
