No luck for us today. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. Thanks for bringing us here regardless.
#3596 A quick find. Visiting Geraldton from Canberra for 2 days with the boys from work. This area seems to always have high winds and going to this seaweed filled beach was a little uncomfortable. TFTC.
Decided to head to Geraldton to pick up all the new caches that had recently come out and also rectify some of our previous DNFS. Had a good days caching with 57 finds and amazingly only 1DNF. Most of the caches were quickly found. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches
Up in Geraldton for IGD so we took the opportunity to collect a few more smilies, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smilie TFTC
Staying over the road so hadda come and find it.
TFTC Miss-Placed this is find # 7383 for us.
TFTC Miss-Placed this is find # 7383 for us.
Doubted it was exactly on the spot since that’s carpark and compact earth. Could nay find in the surrounds either
Thank you! In Geraldton for the last day of a mini holiday. Happy to make the find here.
Outnabout to fill a gap in the D/T grid. Something just didn't look right. Quick grab but may need maintenance after the rains. Thanks Miss-Placed
In town for my son's Taekwondo comp tomorrow. Arrived early so doing a couple of geocaches near our accommodation. Nice easy one to get started. Thanks Miss-Placed for the hide.
Found quick but cache was out in the open. It looks like there has been recent work done to the gravel, may need a maintenance visit. Re hid cache as best I could. TFTC
We awoke to another beautiful day in Geraldton, fantastic after the two windy, wet days when we first arrived. so what better thing to do than to head out geocaching again.
Yesterday we worked in the central art of town and down round the port so today we decided to head out a bit to the south, along the top of the rise first then returning along the coast.
It was a mixed day with a number of well crafted caches, a number in need of maintenance and some great hides. With the outstanding views it was a great day.
This was a nice drive by as we parked very close.
Well camoed, but Mrs SKI was onto it. Re-taped and put back where it came from.

Mr Beetle made a quick find here. We grabbed a couple of caches in the area before leaving Geraldton and its hundreds of caches. Think we barely made a mark on them.
This container was falling apart so Mr Beetle taped it up. The next finder will have to undo the tape to access the log sheet.
Thanks.

Checked on this cache today and found a whole sign minus a cache! Problem now rectified. Happy Hunting
Wondering whether the container got removed when the new sign when in? Couldn’t spot anything suspicious.
Feel that it should be here but seems like a very new sign is in place and it isn't metallic... not sure if that affects anything??
No problem finding this one and at I am glad you replaced it today Tftc Miss-placed.
Beautiful beach make me fresh air... we stay motel for week... we come from Canberra... The cache was full of Ants... good hide well... thanks
Found on our first full day of our caching trip to Geraldton for the annual International Geocaching Day Event.
We arrived late Friday night, getting in just before midnight due to one of us finishing work about an hour later than planned! Stopping for a couple of simple Park and grabs along the way to keep our caching streak alive and enjoyed a quick feed for a late dinner in Jurien Bay.
We started the day with a bit of a later start after a small caching foray to find the new letterbox hybrid cache in town so we got up around 830 to start the caching day.
We curled up locally and headed around the suburb of Tarcoola, and had a large number of DNFs there, sitting around 40% find rate through the area, which was quite frustrating. We cached around the area attempting every cache on the Tarcoola Map before heading out to Bluff Point for the IGD event at the wintersun hotel, which we knew quite well having stayed there on our last trip whilst heading to the northwest.
We had a great pub lunch and enjoyed a cold beer whilst chatting to local cachers squash2 and reticbob regaling stories of some of the infamous caches around town that they either own of have had the pleasure of finding. Reticbob told us of his and others caches on the Moresby Range, which had only just been re enabled after the property changed hands.
We had to make tracks after the event to get the find rate up so teamed up with Team Ruphace who are from Melbourne but are staying in dongara and cached out bluff point with a significant amount of success before thinking we weren't that far from the Moresby Range so made the call to the land manager (this is a must - please respect this great spot so others can continue to enjoy it) and got the all OK to head to the northern side of the property, with the south off limits.
This would be my favourite part of our caching day, the Moresby Range is simply amazing, a MUST do if you come to Geraldton. Views forever. I won't say too much, you can get here and see it for yourself. Just please ring ahead (read the cache listings)
After the Moresby Range caches we headed back towards the centre of Geraldton where we kept finding cache after cache except for a few which need some serious CO attention. We managed to tick off a few nemesis caches including bluff point lighthouse, out and about erosion, tanked at the RSL and a few others, which was most satisfying.
We bid farewell to our companions after finding twenty odd caches together, which was most enjoyable and made finding it a bit easier with four sets of eyes at most caches.
We had a nice noodle dinner and got prepared to find a few more caches by torchlight around central Geraldton. The highlight of the evenings caching was another trip to the HMAS sydney memorial which is my favourite spot to visit in Geraldton. We followed the map around collecting the answers some of which I knew off the top of my head given my love of history and "the Sydney" we collected the puzzle cache for Cravo10 who somehow hadn't found it.
Overall a big day attempting around 60 caches with 40 finds, in around 12hours. Looking forward to finding some caches along the Chapman river tomorow on our final day of our short Geraldton getaway. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Out on IGD in Geraldton for the 3rd year in a row with Barnzy12.
We started the morning a little late compared to a usual geocaching weekend however we did only get into town at midnight so a 8.30 start was early enough!!
The morning started with a extremely poor Find rate at around 40% found. We then headed to the Event and enjoyed a pub lunch and a pint of beer and that would see the luck turn there after.
After the event we headed off with Team Ruphace Matthew and Cathy finding around 20 caches with them.
The highlight was following the lead of reticbob and getting the caches in Moresby Range, going through private land that offered sensational views.
Overall a great day out in Gero, looking forward to seeing some of you again soon at WA Goes Big in Rockingham on the 9th September

TFTH Miss-Placed. Found the cache full of ants and a damp log sheet. As we were on our bikes I put it in my basket and continued along the pathway, by the time we came back the log was dried. SL and replaced as found.
Found this cache easily and on opening promptly dropped it, as it was full of annoying little ants. Shook them out, brushed them off and then got to sign the log sheet. All was then put back and hope the ants find other accommodation. Thanks to Miss-Placed for placing this cache.
On a few days' camping cross geocaching trip. After a short search the prize was found. tftc sl tnln
Stopped at this cache whilst on a roadtrip with Eliktrisiti. We didn't find as many caches in the Geraldton area as we had hoped for, and after being home for a week or so, I have decided that the motto I would adopt for these logs would be this: It isn't the destination that is important, it is the journey!
In a nutshell, we had fun and that is what it is all about. Great company, lots of interesting locations, good variety of caches, even got to meet one of the local geocachers while out and about, and of course, we came home with a whole swag of smileys.
This cache was found early on the second day. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Miss-Placed and for showing us around the Greenough/Geraldton area.

Nice little spot. Thanks for bringing us here. Cache was alive with ants and just a touch moist but in quite good condition.
Thx Haddadoit! Easy find on my early morning beach walk! Got strange looks from a lady walking her dog but!
Very easy find although there were a tone of ants in it and had laid eggs but got them out
Den Ort besucht und den Cache schnell gefunden. Besten Dank fürs Verstecken und greetings from Switzerland.
Our final find for the day although I have to say we did attempt another three caches after this one all ended in DNF's. So glad this was a very quick park and grab type with the wind howling past. Love the play on words title too.
thanks Miss Placed.

After spending the morning caching on Cape Burney with iluvtrekking, we grabbed a few caches while heading back to our accommodation. Thanks Miss-Placed
We spent the day around Cape Burney today, while the boys were riding the Greenough River Trail on their bikes, Mrs richlink and I set out on our own adventure.
Thanks for the cache Miss-Placed.
Thanks for the cache Miss-Placed.
We were traveling down the WA coast, having left Adelaide and up to Darwin, when we stopped a few days in Geraldton.
Today as Di rested I found and signed a few caches along the beautiful coast.
You hadda do it, well I did it too.

Hi there Miss-Placed.
We found your cache **"Hadda do it!"** at 11:39:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14305.
We have travellied from Darwin to Geraldton via the inland route - Newman, Meekatharra, Mount Magnet, etc. Now ew are here we plan to cache the area for a week or so.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area today, even if we did have a few DNF's. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Out with the 3 YO Grandie looking for "Treasure". We made a quick find then down to the beach to collect more treasure (junk) to take home for Mum.
S/L TFTC Miss-Placed, this is what it's all about.

Looked and looked but no cache to be seen but will come back and look another time.
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about with some of those friends and we targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!
Thanks Miss-Placed (F=291 H=25) for placing this cache.

Found with micaparamedic. An easy find and one at least that I found in a spot he had already looked - it is usually the other way around.
Now, I knew that since If had found this cache quickly, that it would be a breeze for somebody who has not lost their touch. What do you know? Cache found and logged before I could blink. TFTC Miss-Placed
Love the name of this one had us searching for a while GeoR came up with the goodiesin the end.
Unfortunately the ants have taken over so please be aware. Thanks for the hide Miss-Placed and for getting us out of the house for the afternoon.
