Cache gone, not replacing. That's not the first time a secluded spot has opened up and I guess it won't be the last

.We had a quick look but there was a man working on the new house being built not far from GZ, and we felt a bit exposed.
Didn't spend too long here before we decided to give up and carry on to Mapua Wharf for a well earned coffee.
We hadn't intended to come to Mapua but got a bit sidetracked and pleased we did as we haven't been here before and it was lovely - the weather was closing in and would turn out to be a bit of a spoiler on our trip to Takaka as the rain was rather heavy by then.
Parked up here as an adventure lab stage is near and decided to pop across and get this one. Easy enough once I was looking from the right angle and signed in no problem - cache is in fine condition.
No sign of birdlife today - the guy using his chainsaw maybe scared them all away.

Just arrived in Mapua for a day or two, thought it would be rude not to grab this cache, sorry no sign of your cormorant. TFTC
A lovely spot to stop after NZ’s best Snapper and chips. This was a pretty quick find on a lovely day out. TFTH
Had me stumped for a while but so obvious when I did find it. No sign of your friend. TFTC!

Nearly failed on this one!
I was over it, we spent too long here searching and I got poked in the eye by a small branch while looking but ww9 wouldn't give up and finally located the heavily buried container!

No cormorant, only a deserted beach. I was not quite sure of the access and I walked along the road until the end. TFTC!!
Found on a lovely outride on this Saturday afternoon. No visit by a friendly winged seafarer. TFTC.
Found on another caching adventure with Missnboyz. My apologies for the late log! After a nosey around the local shops we stopped off here for another Smiley. TFTC
Only enough time for one cache today and since I was nearby I came here and found this one. I've not been here before so kinda cool that this cache was the reason to change that. Thanks Sidewaze, your cache is in good condition.
Gps tried to trick us but quickly sorted that and found the cache straight away, all in good order.
Easy find. Biked to rabbit island and took ferry to mapua. No bird in sight.
I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

This was our last find of the trip. Brief visit to the Nelson/Motueka area. Turned out to be very challenging caching, with many DNF's. In fact the very last one before the airport was another DNF making it 10 for the trip. Anyway this cache was big enough to leave a couple of pathtags. Nice spot here by the water. SL. TFTC.

Geocache found today on a bike ride around Mapua, pretty empty but swaps done and a couple of new things left in place

Thanks to the cancer society fundraiser, we enjoyed a free ferry ride this morning from rabbit Island to Mapua. Here we continued with the bike until finding this cache and then returned for lunch at the wharf.

No Cormorant today, surprisingly quiet for this time of year and the weather, cache a quick find and all in good order after very enjoyable lunch with SJT_NZ at one of the local food trucks.
Last find of the day with Tregearp as we headed off for chores. All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks again for another Sidewaze cache.
We stay in Mapua for two days, so we want to find some caches here.

'Twas the day before Xmas with a Cache to be found, so the family came with me, and searched all around. Then with a roar came the call "it's been found, here it is hidden, right on the ground. And so with a Smile the log it was signed, and of we did drive with tomorrow in mind. Merry Xmas everyone.
Strong head wind on the bike trail from nelson. The reserve at mapua is worth a visit while in 'town'
This was a good place for a cache, been here a few times, and this area is nice. I use to live just up the road there.

Such a sunny warm day so took in some caches with my 3 kids as they all off school due to teacher strike. Took a wee while to find but got it. No birds around. Left TB. TFTC
Two changes, logbook replaced and the toilets seem to be back in action so I changed that attribute.
