Hi there gabs1963. While out on the road today we hunted this cache but after a search we came up empty handed . Thanks to gabs1963 for this cache.FieldNotes: Not found for some time - so needs to checked
Day 3 of the road trip with the boys C10,B12,L1.77 - lots of laughs and perhaps a little therapy will be needed after this trip. But one thing is for sure - I am determined to get a few more yellows on the map on my final full day here in Gero. Many thanks to the COs for the mix of caches. Sorry for the genetic log
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Took a while but we got there in the end with a sistema. Kept trying to find a cache on a cream host. Cheers gabs1963!

Enjoying a long, hot, weekend up in Geraldton Picking up a few caches while here, and even better converting a few previous DNFs into smileys This was one that I stopped off at today. Arrived at GZ to find the cache open and the contents all over the ground. Took a bit of rummaging around but I also found the log. Everything actually seems ok so put everything back together again and re-hid with plenty of cover. Maybe just kids, not sure. Otherwise no problems here, TFTC
Found it. TFTC gabs1963. Looked all over the suspect object but Hey, I should have read the description properly. I’ll put it down to that age thingie. Had to extend my search from that suspect object at the way to GZ. Yeah I know, I should have looked at my GPS. Agh, what else can go wrong. At least I eventually got my smiley. I guess I’ll never learn to play this game systematically. Replaced as found
A nice quick find in a lovely quiet park, signed the log, TFTC...oh and yep there’s a pencil
Mr OOH YEH was staying overnight in North Hampton so he left crazy early (about 1.30am) so he could get some caching in before he arrived there. He done really well with only a few DNFS which was good for Geraldton caches lol.. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches
Day twenty our 'loop tour'. One of our last finds in Geraldton for this trip. Off to listen to the footy. Thanks gabs1963
Up in Geraldton for IGD and to clean up some more of the map, another smiley claimed with a nice quick find TFTC
We set out full of enthusiasm today, lots of caches loaded into the trusty GPS. One or two we had looked for on our last visit with no luck, but we decided that today would be our lucky day.
We ended the day with not quite so much enthusiasm! Fourteen finds out of a possible twenty five. We are usually much better at finding these little treasures. Is it a case of the dreaded Geraldton DNF we wonder?
Mr SKI found this one pretty quickly, which was nice given how many others we missed today.

Always nice to find the first cache of the day as we visit Sunset Beach today. Very quiet little park TFTC
I like this camo, had me tricked for a while!!
The pencil is blunt so suggest next person bring a sharpener.

Seeing as today is a chores days I planned to tackle only a few caches today. Glad I did because as the day progressed the worst the weather got. As Looking for this one I noticed some dark cloud moving in so I thought it was best to finish up my geocaching. TFTFC.
Getting the hang of it again after a year or so almost no caching. Another quick find tftc gabs1963.
Nothing Around, but a lot of random little 'swappables' around on the ground. Hopefully not muggled.
22961 found
Another weather was very nice for me... anyway enjoyed search, found and signed. [^]

TFTC! Today was day two of the "boys weekend" with me and Cravo heading up to Geraldton for IGD 2016, my third trip to this great part of our state and johns second. Think we will continue to do this every year? Especially with all of the new caches getting published around town!!
We picked up a number of new caches along the route and even some that we had missed on previous visits, being in a 4wd this year made it a lot easier to get to some of the hard to reach places that a 2wd would struggle to get to.
Started day two meeting up with Kyzabra, Jinta, Grannett, SVKR, M4YB, clan Wallace and others to grab some orange tree series caches. We grabbed two and missed two, with safety being a first
Priority, two of them were just simply too high up even with some pretty series ladders!!
We then headed out to Nanson, Nabawa and finally to Northampton to complete the Nabawa Bound caches and everything Inbetween whilst dodging cyclists on the "tour de Geraldton" as we dubbed it. Was some really nice country driving today, this is way I love about caching, getting out and seeing the state on remote country roads.
We headed into Northhampton and found our first cache at the window entrance to town, and were surprised not to see the motley crew of Kyzabra, Jinta, Grannett and SVKR as they were heading to Northampton from the orange tree series so I thought it only fitting to leave them a nice little note in the logbook. We grabbed a couple of other caches around town and were met up by the motley crew at one of them, before we basically joined forces to grab the caches between Northampton and Geraldton. With six sets of eyes the caches didn't really stand much of a chance, although we did have to PAF at one!!
We made our way back into town and grabbed a bunch of caches with the motley crew along the Alexander trail where we signed logs at team PGC, don't really know what it means but that's what we signed the first fifteen or so with until the motley crew decided they need lunch and went their own way and we continued to finish the series and met up with other cachers further down who were out enjoying the sunshine.
Grab a couple of other "must do" caches the chirp chirp cache (highly recommended), Roxy rotunda (previous multiple DNF), something fishy (think we've tried for about five times!!) which was great as we had no DNFs which is very good for Geraldton!!
After lunch we headed back to the room to get ready for the event, arriving slightly later than planned we were only there for a short time before caches were published!! Someone announced twenty four emails had come though and I loaded the map and started running north to the nearest cache, gaining some valuable meters on the competition
It was like a scene from the IKEA ad, with Cravo asking if he should get he car and me yelling back "GET THE CAR!!" So I legged it to the first cache and he got the car and picked me up, it was the first of about fifteen FTFs for the day, we
Completed all of the caches north of the event and then looped back around to grab the caches furthest north and then back toward the event. We had a couple of DNFS Which was disappointing.
We headed back to the event and had the pleasure of completing some of geraldtons finest caches, the shake rattle roll, emergency were awesome. We were one of the few teams that actually didn't need the CO to assist by bringing the key!! Definitely a favourite and probably easier doing it with a beer in hand by the foreshore!!
After finishing the event we had a quick drive out to grab the new plane caches, got 3/4 there and then headed down to the water to complete he whereigo cache (highly recommended) and the two traditionals on the walk. Can't wait for tomorrow's adventure.
Thanks to the local COs for their caches

Headed to Geraldton for the International Geocaching Day event on Saturday 20th August.
Barnzy12 and I packed the car at 6am and headed North. Despite making a critical error by choosing the freeway to start the journey we then made it to Geraldton and checked into the motel.
Today was day two and started with a little tree climbing caches with a group of others.
We then headed further north today prior to returning to gero for the event at 2pm.

Hi there gabs1963.
We found your cache **"Sail Away" **at 11:08:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14358.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today we started at "Surfers Domain" and ended up finding 11 & DNFing 5.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 7m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Following on from our successful trip down Alexander series we decide to cycle across to the old Chapman Road to check out the river before cycling back home. This cache was along our way so we just had to stop and find it. After Ian had been to the Gym or whatever, he was playing another game whilst riding his bike, he came across and found this one for me. I was a few metres out in my search. The cache was found and returned just in time as it turned out, a small group where just about to use the park. Phew...
thanks Gabs1963

Nice day for a short walk with two of our grandies. They love this sort of thing and after a bit of messing around they finally found it. S/L TNLN TFTC gabs1963
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about with some of those friends and we targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!
Thanks gabs1963 (F=374 H=34) for placing this cache.

Back in Gerladton and Micaparamedic and I were finding a few caches. This was one of the first on the list.
Approachibg ground zero it didn't take long to have his well concealed cache in hand. Although my hands are now dirty... TFTC Gabs1963
