**21,606**Continuing on along this impressive cycleway, this cache required a bit of stealth to retrieve and replace - had to wait for a break in the muggle traffic - great to see the area so well utilised. TFTC
Thanks for your amazing cache tikitour. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288. Earned a favorite from me. Signed as F & CCheers, Cympull.
Wasn't sure about looking where my gut instinct was but found the hide there in the end. Thanks for this hide tikitour!
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
A car boot sale was occurring very close by but the cars were parked in front of this cache so hidden from view. Loved this interestingly crafted cache container. FP from me..

There was a car boot sale on — lots of weird & interesting items — so our group didn’t look too suspicious hanging around. Quick find by Ⓑarefootguru Ⓑruzie Ⓘnfoferret ⒸrystalFairy in an unexpected spot, thanks tikitour!
10:38 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Market happening so tried to be discreet we stood around chatting to allay suspicion.
TFTC tikitour for placing this cache, number 11905 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei via Cape Reinga. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
Offvious in the end.

Taking a meandering journey to Onerahi with rustynz and gorby on the bikes, got this on the return journey. Thanks for the hide
With rebel98 and gorby on our bikes exploring the waterfront and beyond. I think it was a 12km bike ride? With a couple of caches along the way.
A fun adventure, thanks for the hide

Nice find. Sneaky little hide, love seeing creative hides like this. Nicely done. TFTC
After an early start in Nelson I’ve arrived for a couple days to visit a new work branch. And where there’s a new work branch there are new caches to be found.
It's been a few hundred metres since I last stopped so it must be time for another Park and Grab.
Lots of room to park nearby and only a short wander to the GZ where I found how to make sense of the hint.
Thanks tikitour

We parked close by and made the short wander over to here. I couldn't believe where we found the cache - well done tikitour. TFTC # 18,342
Very clever camo. Was a bit seized and the log is totally full, as per the last few cachers logs. TFT
Cool cache! We filled the last line on the logbook. I'm enjoying beating Mr Shanks to the finds today
Quick and easy find, path quiet but road busy. Quick open and grab surely looks less suspicious than hanging around waiting for a break in traffic. TFTC
Great cycle ride on a cracker day. We are on a motorhome trip to Northland from Blenheim. Always good to get out and about. Quick find here. TFTC
This is where we started our walk today spotted where we thought it was but decided to get it on the return. Went up and around the new bridge. Bit stiff to open but we got there. Thanks for the cache what a great hiding spot.

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
TFTC

I pulled in here at the boat club and almost parked right on top of the cache! I liked the camo on this hide, well done!
I found a good parking area and walked over to GZ. After feeling around the usual places, I saw something that fit the hint and proceeded to find the well-hidden cache. TFTC.
We thought a quick evening cache hunt to see if we could find a couple of high favourite caches for this month's challenge was a great way to finish a fine Spring weekend.
This was the first one we decided to search for as it was on our way into town and there were no muggles using the shared pathway from town to Onerahi. All we had to contend with were the vehicles on Riverside Drive but the cache hide was quickly found by Liz, although we opened it a bit carefully. A nice camo hide and a favourite point from us.

Just brilliant!
Had 2 visits here today....and finally something "clicked" in my brain and I knew what to do!
Love your work....sorry I didnt get to bump into you when I did your Mangrove Walk!....
Anyway this is a great find to for my last in the area.
I'll be back soon.....
Love it up here....I've hardly even made a dent in all the caches and walks!
FP coming....

Well this had been a journey in the making for some time as for the past few weeks a group of us were working on puzzles in the area for a 24 hour mission (travel time included) to see what we could reasonably grab.
All caches were signed "HOAC" so as to save space in the logbook. So together with HKCB, 11HPG, kiwis69 & Alpenmilch83 we left Hamilton at 6.pm with the aim to do as many as possible before sleeping in the car, grabbing breakfast and continuing on. Plenty of laughs were had and stories told. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts in keeping these going and taking the time and effort to place and maintain these caches.
This was one of the few traditional caches that were targeted to collect on the trip as we relocated the car on the way to the next colection of adventure
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

On another HOAC mission, this time with Cats&Dragons, Kiwis69, 11HPG11, and Alpenmilch80. The mission a 24 hour blitz on Whangarei puzzles, plus a certain multi to complete C&D's 5th loop around the D/T grid. Leaving Hamilton at 6pm, with a quick stop in Auckland to pick up A80, we were in Whangarei caching just after 10pm.
During the moonlight hours the plan was to focus on the puzzles around Onerahi, and the Pokemon series, while during thhe daylight the plan was to focus on thegreatauk puzzles plus a few others we had solved. The mission turned out to be fairly successful considering the level on difficultly of most of the hides we were targeting. The logs were signed as HOAC to save room on the logs, a big thanks must go out to all the CO's for their hides.
This one didn't take long for us to figure out where it was hiding, thanks for the hide.

A Friday night a bit different. I got picked up in AKL by a car loaded with Cats&Dragons, 11hpg11, kiwis69, HKCB & a trunk full of food, which could have lasted us for a week surviving in Whangarei. Started into the night with telling a lot of funny stories, enjoying laughter’s and geocaching, geocaching, geocaching.... Another walk enjoyed to GZ.
I enjoyed the time out with the HOAC crew and must say when I arrived back home I felt broken, but very happy and accomplished. TFTC and TFTTrip

A trip to Whangarei for the night to collect a few caches is totally normal right? 2 hours sleep is also normal? Our group tonight consisted of Cats&Dragons, HKCB, Kiwis69, Alpenmilch80 and myself. We left Hamilton at 6pm on Friday and we were home by 6.30pm on Saturday. Some great caches were found and some laughs were had and a lot of sugar and caffeine consumed. A lot of planning and puzzle solving had gone into the prep work so we had a good plan of what caches to attack. Logs were signed as HOAC to save room
Nicely hidden cache, a nice place for an evening stroll
Nicely hidden cache, a nice place for an evening stroll
Found during our 24-hr Whangarei caching mission. After a few weeks' planning and a lot of nights working our way through some of the more recently published puzzles, we (HKCB, 11HPG11, Alpenmilch83, C&D & myself) set off north on Friday evening with our caching wish-list. Great trip: really enjoyed exploring new areas, lots of laughs as always and good to find a few caches (although a bit more sleep would've been nice too!) before we headed back home on Saturday afternoon. All caches were signed "HOAC" so as to save space in the logbooks. First stop was Onerahi for puzzles, then back towards town for a few more hides that we reckoned are a lot easier to look for at night when there are no muggles around - this was definitely one of those! Great camo, TFTC
Nice find but very deceiving... not too sure we like this cache as it didn't feel right to tamper with something that looks like this cache... very clever hide though. TFTC
Spotted this one while doing the beachtobasin on the weekend. Came back today for a walk and to pick up some rubbish so why not find a cache or two as well This is my third one of these and I still think they are great, easy to spot now but still a great hide in plain sight.
Cool idea to hide a cache even though it was spotted immediately gets a fav from me.TFTC
I have looked forward to finding this clever cache placed by sister tikitour. I had planned on biking along the cycle way when I made the find, but I found myself walking it instead. The walk from Onerahi to home was indeed scenic, although a bit noisy at rush hour - the path is a great asset to the area.
Thanks for the fun here, a fav point

Out for a days geocaching. Got to the right spot quickly but not so quick to try the obvious. Soon worked it out and had the cache in hand. A fantastically creative cache, a fav from me. TFTC.
As we approached GZ we figured it must be here. We looked at the clue, and then reread the clue. We investigated the area before zooming in on the hide. A clever hide and gets a well deserved favourite from us.
Started doing a day streak so collected this one in the rain tonight to keep it going
Looked for this one when I had a few minutes to spare while visiting friends in the area. Very clever little hide and hard to find a gap in the traffic to be able to grab the cache unseen, but managed it before too long without being seen.

Talk about stress. Traffic on a long weekend going both ways. Saw item but didn't want to make an idiot of my self. Read logs and realised I was right. Clever hide. Thanks for the placement
Its not now...lol great camo used heaps of these in my time Nice quick find here...great to see how well they have cleaned up this area great cycle way tftc
1.30pm. On our way back from Onerahi where we had ended up looking for somewhere that was open so we could buy a pie. Took a while before we decided to try the obvious. Favourite point from us Tikitour.
Thank you. David and Stephen.
Thank you. David and Stephen.
A lovely and surprising cache that had me going for a few minutes. Took a bit of effort to get to the cache, but I'm sure the owner will have that sorted quickly (since they were with me and witnessed it!) Thanks for the cache.
Planning a caching trip out to Whangarei Heads today, but first had to head into town to get the necessary petroleum for the trip. Second stop for the day. Was a bit hesitant at the GZ however with reading the hint, I knew I was on the right track. Excellent hide. Giving it a FP. TFTC
