After attending the St Arnaud Mega Event , now in Swan Hill and district for a couple of days. Travelling through the countryside and finding caches along the way. Thank you to all CO's for placement of the caches. TFTC.
In Swan Hill for a few days and decided to go out caching this morning before the heat of the afternoon. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches as well as maintaining so that we can enjoy finding them.

Day two, in the very good company of Suscoe and the forecast of hot weather a caching course was charted close to the city.
A nice quick find here - more like a circuit and bump!
Thanks 'Hercs&pinky' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe was out and about with Phetlern on this warm Spring day.
It got to 30 degrees and it was sunny, a light sprinkle of rain at times and sunny again as well as being windy.
We focused on caches that were not too far out of town and enjoyed finding a range of caches and hides.
It was a top day and we had a great time.
Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, the planes were still circling.

After hitting the slopes of Falls Creek for a few days it is time to head home to SA grabbing caches along the way. TFTC

After a busy day in swan hill we decided to take a slight detour on our way home. This was the first of our finds and a quick discovery was made here. The very cute cache mascot has become dislodged from the container but was still standing guard TFTC
After me last cache find at t'other end of the main runway,
I was tempted to take a short cut on the pushbike
But thought better of it due to a few local pilots who might get annoyed with me riding along the runway [:o)]
So I took the long way around the airport,
via the dirt roads to arrive here
A quick cache find as another trainee pilot got airborne [^]

Found with The Empire and SnapHappy on the second day of our weekend in Swan Hill and surrounds. After heading out of town a bit in search of a few smileys, we did a bit of a loop around before heading back in for the Lunch event. Thanks to Hercs&pinky, great cache,. Cheers, Lisa
A cool spot for a cache find with friends.
Found with the awesome Team Crackers, fabulous Maccamob, hilariously funny Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.
We cached all day, enjoyed the Swan Hill 6 months to the Alexandra Event, and then ended our day with a delicious dinner at the RSL (Dianne, Mark, Mary, David, Alan, Gary and myself).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a big, but generally a relaxing couple of weeks away in Victoria.
Ballarat, Border track, Pinnaroo, Bendigo, Wedderburn, Swan Hill, Maryborough, Mt Beckworth and Mt Gambier are just a few of the spots I have visited during my caching trip. There was an emergency room visit, loads of driving, stacks of laughter, amazing food, lots of new learnings (like oh my goodness!!), and a wonderful mix of fabulous people.
I am loving this country and getting out and about in it!
Thanks for the cache Hercs&pinky!

After having a great time at the 6 months to the Alexandra mega we joined forces with maccamob, alansee, micaparamedic and goodlook for an afternoon's caching
We followed the GPSr to gz listening to the birds singing away merrily. and we all had a little smile at the well made cache container that gave up without a fight.
We took nothing but left a favourite point.
To save room in the logs we signed as The big 4 as we were all staying there.
Thanks Hercs&pinky for the cache..

Found with a group of cachers who had all come for the Event today. The last one before turning around, and a fun little cache too, thanks Hercs&pinky.
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Found by Mary & David at 1450. Logging as Big4 today, as all teams (Alansee, Team Crackers, GoodLook, micaparamedic, Day1976, GeoJosiah and ourselves) are staying at a Big4 caravan park this weekend. So glad to meet you both at the BBQ. A great country road and another cute container. Our thanks to Hercs&pinky.
Found by The Empire @ 10am-11amish with Snap Happy and sully
The morning of the '6 Months to the event in Alexandra - Swan Hill' event. We cruised around town and picked up some caches before heading to the event for lunch. We were in need of a bit of a streak so we came out here for some finds! Thanks for the cache, Herc&pinky.

Doing some last caches around Swan Hill with CPwanderer before our long trip home...
A cute cache...Thanks Hercs&pinky

In Swan Hill for an event with Mrs. Aussie M&M and mogni. To save space, we simply put our group stamp of GOTHS (Geocachers Of The HillS) in the logs.
We went looking for an eagle but found something well...er...slightly different. Indeed if an eagle landed here this might prove to be lunch for it. Still it had a logbook so we stamped it and left before the eagle arrived and landed!
Thanks Hercs&pinky for the cache.

So I traveled from Mount Gambier to attend an event on the Sunday, but with that much driving I hoped to grab a whole lot more. This is a tough town to geocache in.
Cache hunting with Aussie M & M and brisal5....
A quick find but was this the eagle or lunch?
Thanks

Find # 3408 @ 1814 H
Found with sharkiefan
Heading up to Swanhill, for a days caching. looking at getting a good number of finds for the day, but they were soon dashed when we had a 4 streak of DNF's and the total count for the day was 11.
But on the brighter side of things we did have a good day travelling around the area and ended up with 27 smileys.
We decided to get out of the city and tackle a few back road caches. thankfully the road was dry and the coast was clear on all grabs as we expected.
After grabbing the Dead Horse Caches we detoured the long way around.
a quick grab as sharkiefan spied the cache before leaving the ute.
