I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi yorkshirekiwi83
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Dnf after a thorough search, and a decent rest after all those stairs! Agree with the previous cachers, pretty obvious where it should have been, was hopeful it had just been moved but no such luck today.
Rick still in place and despite a good search around with OMCNZ we could not find
We found the spot we found rock hiding cache but we didn't found the cache. We extended the search, but it was really clear were it should have been.
It’s been a great few days circumnavigating Mt Ngāuruhoe but my legs and shoulders are convincing me my day is done. Not just yet though as I still have a little unfinished caching business.
Whilst the descriptions and hint were all very clear and some tell tale stones around, the cache was not…as least as far as I could see.
Thanks yorkshirekiwi83

Thanks yorkshirekiwi83 for the cache. It’s #1563 for us. We found your cache on 1 January 2022. Lovely walk. No pen so took a pic of log which appears to be the wrong log (45!)
Pen still not performing.
We're on our way to Taranaki Falls.

Really sorry for the repeat log but did the Taranaki Falls loop with two tweens. Your caches were what kept them putting one foot in front of the other. We only used the description for the first 2 then having got the feel for your style we did the rest clueless and it was a race between the girls to be the first to grab it. So thank you very much for putting these in place. The weather was stunning. Had an amazing day ending with a rather late lunch at The Chateau.
Found on Anzac weekend with my dad Cuzincori, log signed as cuzincori + moomoo,
Thanks for the placement
Thanks for the placement
Took a trip from Taranaki to National Park for the long weekend to walk the Tongariro crossing again but the weather wasn't playing the same game as us so instead I got some more caches around the area that I missed out on last month while over here.
Thanks to the CO'S for the placement and maintenance up in this area.
Apologies for the generic logs

Late in the afternoon we had a two minute limit on each cache. The first did not appear in time so I was pleased this one was so obvious. In the end we found all but two caches on the Taranaki Falls loop.

We had heard that the LOTR series might be archived soon, so we made a last-minute plan to head to the Central Plateau to pick them off only to discover that half of them had been disabled and the caches removed but not archived (?), this left the other half still currently in place but with the same maintenance issues so found those that we could whilst still available. No problem with this find.

On the way back from the falls we had some time to spend and got some caches. Nice walk with great views, tftc.
Heading down from the falls to collect the remaining caches in the series. Another nice forest walk. TFTC!!
It’s always nice to have a bench to sit on while you log a cache! The boy microcacher was quick to find this one.
Found on wonderful day in summer, thank you for maintaining these amazing caches
Day 44 of my TA adventure heading to national park grabbing a few along the way..nice quick find tftc
An easy find thanks to the hint but a bit confusing as the log in this cache is the log for cache number 45 in the series, which we see is missing. So somehow it has made its way here and what is really missing is the log for this cache. Must be just one of the many mysteries of Middle Earth.
I was supposed to be hiking the Tongariro Crossing today but the weather wasn't playing ball, so I decided to do some other hikes instead. The Taranaki Falls loop walk was nice and quiet which made searching for the caches easy. TFTC!
A 5.30 am start from the Mangagearpopo hut fro sa short day and rest as we have been pounding out the km on the Te Araroa. A 40 km day yesterday and a 44 the day before.
Yesterday we put in a early start and got to where we were going to stop for the day and look at the tongariro crossing with not a cloud in the sky so yup it now or never. Grab some water and hit the trail. As weareon the Te Araroa we go the backwards but what a day and spectacular view glad we ground out the km now we rest.
Living life one foot steep at a time as i walk from cape reinga to bluff and caching my way home as I walk the
Te Araroa and discover the hidden treasures new Zealand has to offer.
From the beach of the north to the forest and lakes of the south
Blùff here i come
Thanks for the hide

Another one bites the dust. Perfectly speed on the walk to keep the kids going! Tftc
We went to Whakapapa for 3 days of skiing but the weather was not good at all. Storm with gale wind and heaps of rain. We went for the Taranaki falls on day 2, enjoying this nice trail with well maintained caches. Most of them found quickly, only 2 seems to be lost.
Thanks for the trail.
Thanks for the trail.
Was a great loop and the caches were quick, easy and fun! My sister and I really enjoyed the waterfall so thanks for showing us this wonderful walk. TFTC!
We came up for the weekend to walk the Tongariro Crossing now that we have nationally made it to Level 1. Sadly the weather didn't cooperate and we spent the first day 'confined to quarters'. However, the conditions improved enough that we managed to do some local walks on Saturday and what else could I do but grab a bunch of caches along the way, ending up with 30 out of 31 searches for the afternoon. (Which explains the cut-&-paste logs I hope). TFTC
Sorry re the generic logs but there were lots of caches to collect on the one day. All good. Thanks
Great find by miss 8. Didn’t get this one last time through as a muggle was on the bench. No muggles this time. Tftc

On our wonderful camper trip around this amazing country we visited so many beautiful places an stunning landscapes. A amidst these hills, mountains, beaches and grass lands were also a few boxes waiting for us to be discovered. This one was one of them.
Thanks for hiding

This one was the 9th cache of LOTR trail during our adventure to Taranaki falls or there and back again. Thanks a lot for the hole trail, it really made our day, and greetings from Czech Republic.

What a great round in the land of Mordor. Mordor the empire and base of the arch rogue Sauron. It was located southeast of the northwest of Middle-earth, east of the great river Anduin. Mount Doom, a volcano in Mordor, was the target of the Fellowship of the Ring to destroy the One Ring.
Super nice view of all three volcanoes and of course the "feeling" as if you were in the movie.
Thanks yorkshirekiwi83 for the simple and well explained hiding places; only one thing (CaveTroll) we could not find like many others before us. The can probably fell victim to a Muggle.

Todays plan was different, but I made the best out of it. I was at the Whakapapa Village at lunchtime, booked a shuttle for tomorrow and found a nice spot to sleep. I decided to do the Taranaki Falls Track and grab some caches there! It was cooler than the days before, but the sun came out and warmed me. Thanks for this great opportunity to see the beautiful landscape and find some caches! This is absolutely perfect!

did take a seat and waited till I cooled off after back tracking to get my Leki stick TFTC
Easily found once the couple ahead of me vacated the seat. Luckily it was short. Tftc. Now for the open grasslands.
Today we walked the Taranaki Falls Track and did some caches. Also this one.
A quick find.

Did the Tussock traverse 21k yesterday, so stayed the night at the Chateau and woke up nice and early to quickly get all the caches on the Taranaki falls loop so excuse the repeat logs but all caches found and in good order, loved that I didn’t have to hunt around for them.
Thanks for the placements

When we came back from our tour from Mordor (yes, you CAN simply walk into Mordor! Just walk the Bruce Road ) we had another half day to do something. So, we decided to split up. I wanted to do the water fall walk.
Because I went alone, I could log some nearby caches without disturbing any other person with the stops. Fortunately a part of the Lord of the Rings series laid along the route....
[To be continued]
-----
For this cache, first I went too far. Two hundred meters behind the cache was my first look at my device. So, I had to walk back. But I had the learn, that two hundred meters directly as the crow flies can be much more in reality... After I came to the hide area I found the hint a little bit misleading. So: It is absolutely never necessary to leave the ways at these geocaches! In the end, I found it, everything was fine.

Arrived in Whakapapa (Middel Earth) we decided to do two hiking tours.
The coordinates were exactly measured and with the hints the cans could be found well.
The values for the bonus were written down and so the bonus could be found.
They were very nice hiking trails with great views into the nature.
Thank you for this wonderful round and for hiding the cans.
Many greetings from Cologne from Pöni.

Found by the Bounty Geo Hunters~~ follow us on insta great place to take a rest
Hadn't done the Taranaki Falls walk for a number of years, and some of the Jr. Cachers not at all, so headed out for an afternoon excursion. Knowing there were a number of caches to find along the way was an added bonus and gave the younger ones a chance to rest along the way.
Spent a bit of time around GZ as the log for LOTR45 implied that there might be two containers here. However only one was found; but the log said it was for LOTR45? Signed the log and returned as found. TFTC.

Merry Christmas, walked with SuperM and visited lots of characters of my favorite story "Lord of the Rings". TftC.
Walking today in the Tongario National Park. This was my next found today on the track to the Tama Lakes. Thx for the cache.
