Loved this log! From Hamilton and there are a lot sistema caches in Hamilton and surrounding. All three found in Whitty was strange and cute. Love it! Imagine having a front yard parking space for your YACHT. Beautiful place though! Thanks ??
Definitely not where the hint says and my friend lay down under the seat and nothing was found.
Day 3 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I'm hanging out in Whitianga, seeing the sites and doing some goecaches. For the first time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and it's proving to be a handy wee tool.
Another quick find. Another log book almost full. TFTC

Another one snagged and tagged here. Cheers.
Day 8 - Christmas Day - Friday 25 December - Whitianga - Its the 'There N Back' series on the radar for today, with a few stragglers around Whitianga still to scoop up.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

I feel really exposed here, which the dragon and I were hunting this cace down. I hope all the people overlooking this cache know about it. On the other hand it is still here, so maybe its all good.
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

Took advantage of a quiet time here to get this cache. BIG houses and BIG boats around here. TFTC
I stayed in Whitianga, but went over to Cook's Beach today to redeem some DNFs from our Christmas trip in 2017.
On my way out, I had top stop and find a few caches to get warmed up. TFTC.

Out and about for a few days for a bit of a road trip around the Coromandel area. Day Two of my road trip. I started my travels in Thames and ended my day in Whitianga. The other half indeed! Found the cache as per the hint while checking out the oversized motor boats. TFTC, Biggles.
After the only shower of rain for a very long time we ventured out to claim this one.
Very affluent surroundings.

Gosh what an expensive but lovely place. Nice to sit and dream away lol. Quickly found and signed and replaced. The breeze was upso we had to take great care the log didnt blow away.
Out today in the area grabbing a few caches.
Nice easy find here.

Nice quick find, couldn't help but admire the canals while I rolled up the log.

Staying in nearby NZMCA park, taking geopup for a walk. School of large fish in canal beside seat. Lovely spot to sit and contemplate. Nice easy find TFTC.
Located this one on a day trip to the area. No problem with the find and at the same time introduced a family to geocaching. Interesting glamping tents nearby TFTC.
There were a few teens jumping off the bridge, so we watched them whilst looking and signing. Onto the next, cheers
This one was a quick find. Thankfully the weather was good and we could take a few photos of the nice location.

After being to the Tuia Matauranga roadshow I was off to locate and sign off a few of the local caches.
Continuing my walkabout and decided to have a rest here.
Cheers for the cache.

Found after I found the seat. My stupid pen wouldn’t write on the log sheet so took a photo as evidence that I had been here. Heaps of huge boats tied up beside huge closed up mega houses. Looks like a lot of money sitting about doing nothing. Thangs for bringing me round here though. TFTC
Find number 5810. I parked some distance away and tried to make my way to the canal via a boat ramp but unable to walk the canal as private property. Once I got to the correct place it was easy. Sat and looked at the nearby vessel which probably cost more than my little living quarters. Thank you for the placement
R had been shuffling around for a few mins and we'd just gone to look elsewhere before reading the hint. Put my hands right on it and grinned! These little ones are sneaky
great morning for a walk around the canals. had my tort so have replaced log sheet with waterproof sheet . as previous paper mushed. tftc
Early morning Caching Mission to see what was up the Coromandal Peninsula, and working our way back from Whitianga down to Whangamata. This way we would leave enough caches to make the cache run worth it, hitting it from the south which would make it an easier day next time.Today I was in the company of HKCB, (logs were generally signed HKCD) and we soon set in putting the world to rights, discussed may sports and enjoyed good music, caches along with fantastic sunshine.Managed a total of 63 caches and only 3DNF's so all in all a pretty good outcome. We set out from home, departing at 3am with a long drive, and big day ahead of us. The good thing at this time is that there are very few other cars to worry about on the winding roads. We eventually made it back home by 4.30pm.
Starting to head out of town now, its still dark and another quick find before heading south for a few more caches.
A big thank you to all the cache owners for their diligence in maintaining these caches for the likes of us to enjoy.

A nice simple nano in a nice simple spot. Nice and quiet too, late at night. Whitianga is pretty dead at this time of the year. TFTC!!!

On the homeward journey today via a maintenance run on the 309, with a few cache finds thrown in. Nice to to see this area well developed now. Nice hide. Took us a wee while to locate. SL. TFTC.
I keep saying this cache name out loud but nothing.... I lost the logbook, far canal would you know it - So replaced with small round up bit of paper. I was taking cache back to the car for the tweezers and logbook dropped out

I pulled up here in this amazing housing development, everything is brand spanking new. The houses, the huge boats, the canal too. A great lifestyle for some people! I however am more interested in something considerably smaller and cheaper - a small nano - but I could not release it from it's bounds, I had lost my one and only tweezers early this morning and didn't have anything else suitable. So I took a foto if the C.O wishes to see it and off course fotos of the area which I will post here!
Great day to go caching with Pinocchio59, this is a great place to see flash boats. Stealth is definitely required for this one as eyes were on us from all angles. TFTC
Up in matarangi for the weekend and geocaching today in Whitianga with imcuzz. Lovely area here, TFTC
#727 - In Whitianga for our annual girls weekend, this town is soo cool, I love visiting. Another good one, looking at all the fancy houses. TFTC
After sleeping in Whitianga for the night it was time to explore the area whilst leisurely making our way back to Auckland.
No issues finding this one. Cool glamping tents nearby.
Thanks for the cache.

Another quick find and another house I could buy - if only we had the money.... Tftc
Having just done another in the series I thought I knew what to look for... but alas it was not to be. Thriving tent city nearby.
Found after watching some young uns jump off the bridge. Don't know if it was the cold or sting ray that got them out. Na wasn't the cold, they just jumped again.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Another trek into Coromandel for work purposes, and caching of course...
Another view of the waterways and the strange tents nearby... This turned out to be a difficult search for us, as a youngster was hanging around the bridge and seemed to be spying on us. We got the impression that he knows about this cache, as he was very interested in our activity. We wonder how long this one will survive. TFTC.

Another canal cache and another view, think this was the one that had the nearby yurt tent things. No problems with the cache, thanks
Drove to whitianga today to get something that turned out wasn't ready to be collected. Decided to make the best of the situation, so had a lovely lunch & walked around a bit of the town, grabbing a few caches along the way, before heading home again. Enjoyed wandering around here: I wonder what the price tag is on the house for sale on the nearby corner?? Cache exactly as the hint says, thanks! TFTC
Heaps of kids jumping off the bridge. Looks good fun. Nice wee hide here and in good order. Thanks for the placement G-2
Had a couple of goes at driving close to the cache. Once we had sorted that out and parked it was a short stroll to GZ. Sat down to admire the moored
boats and started hunting. Took a little while to find the little tacker, but perseverance paid off. TFTC

Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. Quick easy find, parking - not so much. TFTC.
Nothing under the seat today. Searched well. After finding the light house one.
5.15pm. Tried here a few minutes ago and gave up, then after finding the mate to it at the light house I came back and although I had not seen it when looking under I felt it this time!!
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Found it the neighbours watched. Sure is a great development in this area. Tftc
195 Took 2 attempts to get this cache. Second time round was armed with the correct information. Just had to look inconspicuous as people were sitting on their deck. Waited till some kids kayaked past and diverted their attention. TFTC
An annoying muggle sitting right where i needed to be slowed me down. Signed as DOW
We had a look but that didn't do it - had to get real up close and personal with this little guy but I'm not sure how we missed it on the first pass. Cheers G-2 TFTC.
For this one the parking was not as easy at GZ. So RWIMF got a head start on the hunt and had it sorted as we arrived. TFTC
(sigh), so what kind of job would I need to have to have a holiday house and boat like these ones? back to my campsite I go
Had to be sneaky peoples houses are close by. Some big boats parked not too far away.
Liked the boat parked at someones jetty right by their house. Very cool. Sneaky find here.
There were teenage girls jumping off the bridge close to GZ - we have a young friend who did this recently and broke his leg in 5 places, so I wasn't watching what they were up to so quickly found the wee hide. T4tc
It's always easier to give up when the last log is a DNF, so I was very happy I found it immediately.
During a morning run from the campground while muggle-company was still sleeping I had a rest here, sit down, bent over and there it was.
Thanks G-2!
If you are doing this one after the lighthouse cache from the same owner you might expect something a little bit bigger... Keep eyes wide open.
Signed with K - no space for more, and I rolled up from the empty end so that next finder doesn't have to unroll completely

With the annual work fishing trip on this afternoon in Coromandel town, I thought I'd make a full day of it and head over first thing and make it a bit of a caching trip too. So I was out the door about 5.30am, with a general plan to find caches around the Whitianga and Kouatunu areas before heading over to Coromandel Town for the fishing trip.
Nice and quite this morning with the rain falling kept the muggles inside. No troubles finding with the great clue, however retrieving the log from the cache to a bit longer. Managed to keep everything dry while signing, thanks for the hide.

Took a bit Of feeling around for this one with muggles nearby so trying not to look obvious. Then took time to extract. Signed with GA due to small space. TFTC
After much discussion and rolling around looking for this one we realised we were at the wrong place, but TFTC
Found with bkj97 on a roadtrip to Auckland/Waiheke/Coromandel and back home after celebrating our daughter's 40th birthday. T4TCSL (apologies for any repetitive logs) Thanks to all the COs for giving us some breaks while traveling or an excuse to explore where we were staying.
One of many found with little blue hen while catching up with family in the coromandel.TFTCSL
Staying in Whitianga to scout out the local caravan parks with a view to coming here to fish, and bringing the caravan eventually. Naturally had to clean up all the new caches that have appeared since our last visit.
You have been busy G--2, but hey, that's good.
Mr S walked confidently to what we figured was GZ but the elusive cache took a bit of hunting down. Signed and replaced and wondered about the amount of money tied up not only in the expensive houses but also in the expensive boats moored. Several million dollars just in this section alone.
Thanks G--2.

We had a free day so decided to head up to Whitianga for the day and catch up with the new caches
in the area and do some shopping but the day was not a good one the weather was not kind. Thanks for the new caches and being second to find them.
