Looked around , but too much grass for me on my own to get through. Already seen two up the rd . Next trip
Checked and all OK. Try not to upset our snakes and if one bites you ,try not to bite him back, they are poiseness. Anyway its winter.
A lot of Longgrass to get through, but once we got to GZ, we found it was well positioned – not the needle in the haystack we were expecting. TFTC
A bit of pushing your way through some long grass at the moment, but it's still here and all intact. Filled out the log
Hint wrong
We are in Tamworth for a few days to break our journey home. Camped at the paceway.
Certainly plenty to keep a cacher busy here.
Day 2 , plenty of long grass in this series.

A short cache outing south of Bendy. In particular going for a FTF and a number of Moonbie caches. Quite successful, most caches found with one DNF and a few GAs which weren't there anymore.
Quick find, all in good order.
Thank you Whitey Wiskas for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found it. The grass has overgrown so has become hard to find.
Someone has unfortunately emptied the container.

Well we travelled to Moonbi today for a day of caching, but ended up starting at Kootingal, surrounds and ended up in Tamworth. Finally came back to Moonbi and got our first DNF after 29 straight finds. Grass is fence high along the boundary and just too long. On a hot day we thought best to leave this for another day due to the possibility of snakes.
Thanks anyway Will try again when GZ has easier access.

Stomp stomp thru the long grass hoping that Sssssssid was taking note. But just me out here, it seems.

After a couple of busy days we decided to have a nice slow day caching with ilook4geo. This was the first cache of the day and was not hard to find. Unfortunately a lot of the farmers friends decided we were worth sticking to, which meant a lot of plucking followed.
The cache container and log were in good condition and the log was signed.
Thanks go to Whitey Wiskas for placing this cache.

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 4. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we decided to stay an extra day around Tamworth and as far away as Uralla. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost every cache.
Thanks for the cahe Whitey Wiskas

20,563. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.
Day 4 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be another big days caching. We aimed to hit some more of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Happily we were able to find this cache while around this scenic area. We started early and finished late to get as many as possible. Nice to see well maintained caches. Thanks to Whitey Wiskas for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Quickly found and signed just before another vehicle pulled up.

Hi there Whitey Wiskas.
Today was a drive from Tamworth to Moonbi Lookout (and return), logging caches along the way. The caches we found were all well placed, and the for the most part had pretty accurate coordinates. We can see that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of all the caches we found today.
All up we found 21 caches & DNF'd 3 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the caches. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** A gold coin.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Today we left our caravan in Armadale and made our way down to Tamworth for a day of geocaching and sight-seeing. This was one of several geocaches we found today.
An interesting story as to how Moonbis' name might have come about, i had been wondering.
thanks

The afternoon was warming up so it was appreciated that this one was a quick find. Now to turn back to Tamworth.
Travelling through Tamworth and staying for a couple of days. Due to the number of caches found I am doing a generic comment. Enjoyed the towns, villages and countryside and also the caches that have been placed. Thank you very much to the CO.

Stopped here in the shade to eat our lunch while travelling north. It was a nice surprise to find there was a cache here. Happily signed the log before travelling on. Thanks to the CO for placing a cache here for us and others to find. Cheers!
On our way home from the Oz geo Muster (MEGA) at Morisset and only going as far as Armidale today so plenty of time to indulge in my third best past time.
( Eating Chocolate and going places with Mrs YOF being #1 and #2).
Parked safe and walked over to area of GZ. Cache container is not a small film container but a tube and it was not on the ground but in thhe end of a log. All good here. Signed log sheet YOF as this is what I use on small log sheets to conserve space on the paper. TFTC Whitey Wiskas.

Decided to spend a few days in Tamworth with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to get out and find some of the caches hidden in the area.
Pulled over to get my bearings for another cache, when I realised I was right on top of this one .. so quick find and we were off up the hill.

I'm heading home to Canberra from Brisbane where I was visiting my Mum who has just had a hip replacement. She is 92, and going great guns, with walking much easier than when I last saw her. As a domestic slave, I am had an easy time - Mum didn't need much care which is great, so I did a little geocaching and walking with my GeoSchnauzers. I spent most of my time walking with Mum and ferrying her around. Had to give her needles for a couple of weeks too. Brought back memories of daily injections for my deceased wife, for her multiple sclerosis.
I got away as planned at about 2:00 pm, making for Stanthorpe for the night. I get here, and stopped for the cache, to stretch my legs, and to walk the dogs. I was on this road a lot forty years ago, there was nothing much here then as I remember. Interesting spot now. The cache was easy, thanks for bringing me here.
Yesterday, I tried to book my room in Stanthorpe. No luck, due to something called a Snowflake Festival. Never mind, try Warwick. No luck. Oh dear. Tenterfield. One room left, got it. Hmmm. Thought I would drive straight there just in case, and just as well I did. The poor bugger was at least quadruple booked. His internet was down, except apparently for his Booking.com connection, so he was trying to find rooms for people. He got me one in Glen Innes, which was out of range of the festival. Never mind, less distance to drive today, and more time for caching.
There was no-one here, so the cache was a nice easy park and grab. The dogs and I enjoyed a short walk and a break from driving. Onya!!!
Find no 11 of 19 today.
Thanks, Whitey Wiskas

Had a great time at the Alice Mega and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches along the way. We may sign small log sheets as CG.
Muggles were close by so we pretended to be bird watching looking up in the trees and when the time was right we grabbed the cache which we could see already.
Log signed and replaced, now back up to the lookout to hitch up the van and off to Uralla for the night at one of our favorite camps.
Thanks for the cache Whitey Wiskas.

Not a bad place to stop for some lunch. No toilets though, but you can find them at the Moombi lookout - - along with spectacular views. Quick find even thought the grass seems long it is easy to get to. Thanks Whitey Wiskas.
