This cache was 100% MIA. Have replaced exactly the same to ensure it continues as such a fab spot! Had a chat to the cows!
An afternoon of caching with GCoven around the Caboolture area. We had just a couple of caches in mind and both were new caches. Then there were a few local ones we both had not acquired yet. After our successes at some recent caches, we headed off to grab this one. It was one I had been to before but was missing at the time. We parked up and searched an area and with the recent spoiler photos we were sure it was gone. Given the CO's relationship with my buddy it was suggested to replace the cache. My buddy was also trying to recruit so cows to watch over the cache, lol, well I am just guessing as to what was really said. We signed the log and replaced as per some previous logs. All good with this cache.
Walking dog along here today, searched all along a 20 metre section of fence, no sign of cache, will come back if found again,
I arrived full of confidence but despite the spoiler pic I couldn’t spy a cache… about ready to leave I found it on the ground…
I then returned to the car and replaced the container with an identical one that is now reattached…

Nathan and I needed a cache today, but he was busy working so I was on my own to look for it, eeek!
I took a quick detour before picking up the little ones from school and had no issue tracking the cache down and placed our name on the log.
The log is damp and quite ripped so it could do with some much needed maintenance.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Miss_Direction I found your cache X-mas tree on 25/8/2022, 5:00 pm. This is my find 4018 and find # 18 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Oh Christmas, Oh Christmas tree! Thank for protecting me from the rain.
Found with SpectaclesOfRose on a rainy day. Best weather for finding things with no muggles about, not that you need to worry about it here!

Relogging found caches under the name Bonkersandshush to my other accountGAZKERSH.Thanks.Nice quick find while caching in the area
Getting into the Christmas spirit, figured we seek this one out. Didn’t take too long once we read the other log entries.
Out for a drive along the country picking up a few caches and this is one we found. We were lucky it was in the first place we looked. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Miss Direction.
Out today on a mission with OBC and mini-OBC. Swung by here for the next of over 120 finds today. Quick find here at the end of the road.
Thanks Miss_Direction (Adopted from RhoBoCacher) for entertaining me at this location.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.
Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

gps wandering a bit this morning . eventually found . all's good Thanks Miss_Direction
Out for a drive whilst my doggy was having his monthly grooming session. It seems like the only opportunity I’ve had lately for geocaching!! . First up I thought I’d come here given Christmas is just around the corner! My hubby pointed out a likely GZ and whoop he was right! Tftc
We went past this a few times before spotting it. Not really as the name suggests but near one
An offer to head out of Brissy for an adventure and more caching today Violet the Tabby came along for the ride this weekend
Just on dusk so a torch was employed. Spotted the cache and the tree at the same timea shame the original CO felt compelled to leave the game. But thx for placing this cache for me to find.
TFTC Miss Direction!

After a nice hot walk along the old rail trail, this was the next closest unfound. Parked at the end of the road then spent way too much time closely examining all the Xmas trees. In the end, I found it by accident when I had nearly given up and turned around and lo and behold, there it was right in front of me.

I wonder if this one has moved slightly as it was not in the name as the clue suggested. Found attached but about a metre (if memory serves correctly) away.
Okay, drove down tot he end of the road, and finished eating my morning tea. Whilst sitting here doing so, another car came up behind. So, is this a local wanting to know what I am doing in this dead end street? Or another cacher going to the same place I am?
Neither, someone looking at getting in to the Strawberry farm on Childs Road via the rear entrance (which we did not see anywhere).
Okay, when they had left, finished eating and went to GZ.
Cache is in good condition and quickly signed the log and returned this.

I really enjoy driving down bush roads looking for caches. There is always something that catches your eye and worth talking about. On the drive we saw a guy riding a horse whilst walking his dog on a leash. It seemed like the height of laziness but I was more jealous than watching a personal trainer fondling my wife.
We saw the Christmas tree on arrival and went straight for it. Unfortunately the tree we picked was nowhere near GZ and so thinking our caching prowess under attack resorted to the phone for guidance. With the hindsight of actually being directed to the cache it was soon spied for signing.
It was closing in on lunch time and the rumblings of hungriness had set in. I had already consumed a healthy breakfast of coffee, but I had to keep my wife happy on Fathers Day. WTF? At least I was given permission to find one more cache before setting sail for home. tftc

Not exactly where I thought it would be but after a bit of a search found the little blighter.
Found easily .. GeoMs familiar with this road spent her childhood at a friend's whose property was at the end with the longest driveway beautiful place to grow up. TFTC
**# 17353** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
Another perfect warm winter day for a drive to pick up a few I missed lately.
Not any muggles around and a good quick find here.
Although there is no tree any more.........
Thanks for the cache RhoBoCacher,

After setting up camp in the showgrounds, we headed out in the afternoon to find a few caches.
This took us to various locations & a good selection of caches found.

Still some light left, so stortigirls and I made our way to this one. We parked at the barrier, even though I could have driven further. A short stroll to GZ and the cache was quickly located. TFTC
Found whilst out on an after work run today to reach a mini milestone. We fund this one as described just as the sun was setting. Tftc RhoBoCacher
School holidays nearing to the end and kids starting to get bored, oh we can solve that!!! Took geo-kids out for a drive. Started with a trip to a new butcher where we bought steaks for tomorrow night's dinner and chicken enchiladas for next night. We have this thing of visiting new butchers and we think we may have struck a goldmine with Bellmere/Ningi butcher! Anyway we thought we'd do a loop from our house to Mount Mee to Dayboro to home. This is our first grab in the loop (we are very limited with how many we can grab cause geo-kiddies have blessed us with their presence on this drive, but hey we'll take what we can get!) Never knew Xmas trees were sitting out here, geo daughter and I got out to do our best Xmas tree pose...

I decided to park at the end of the road and walk down. As mentioned the trees are now logs, but the cache is safe and sound close by. You may need to add a warning to others of the potential "spiky-ness" of the new location. TFTC
Made a quick park and grab, shame about the trees, although we see some smaller ones nearby still going strong.
Unfortunately, I think the Xmas trees have seen better days wombles and co. and myself arrived to find a massacre. All trees at GZ have been lopped. Never fear though the cache was safe and well tucked into a hidey hole. We left some scribble and replaced the beasty as we had found it.
Thanks for the cache RhoBoCacher

I took a photo to show the CO, I think the Xmas trees are Christmas kindling now but the cache is safe and sound in it's hidey hole.
Out with Geopartner exploring the area.
Had not been down this road before.
Arrived at GZ and headed to where we thought it would be.
I better just get the GPS.
Oh not close enough.
Soon had the cache in hand.
Signed the log and returned to its hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks RhoBoCacher All good with this cache

This Day in History
Saturday, June 28, 1845. : Aborigines attack the exploration party of Ludwig Leichhardt during the night, killing John Gilbert.
Ludwig Leichhardt was born in Prussia and studied in Germany. He was a passionate botanist who had an interest in exploration, although he lacked necessary bush survival skills. In October 1844, he left from Jimbour Station on the Darling Downs on an expedition to find a new route to Port Essington, near Darwin. The trip took 14 months and covered over 4,800km.
Whilst on this trip, Leichhardt had a few encounters with Aborigines, often unnoticed. Leichhardt was sympathetic towards Aborigines and their culture, but in some way he or his party offended them: there were rumours that some of his men had interfered with Aboriginal women. On the night of 28 June 1845, Aborigines attacked the party. One of Leichhardt's men, John Roper, suffered a spear through his arm. The shaft of the spear had to be broken off and the head pulled through in order to extricate it. He was also struck by a spear through his cheek, which damaged an optic nerve. James Calvert, 19 years old, was struck by five spears, penetrating his knee and groin.
John Gilbert was a collector for John Gould, the man famous for producing thousands of detailed sketches of Australian birds. On the night of the attack, Gilbert was killed instantly by a spear through his neck. The men buried him at the site, and his grave was only discovered in 1983. Leichhardt honoured his fallen comrade by naming the Gilbert River, which flows into the Gulf of Carpentaria, after him.

Out and about with Dutchie1950 today After meeting up at the usual spot this morning we headed west to Caboolture.
This afternoon we headed out to Woodford. On our way south again we collected this CO's 4 new caches north of the D'Aguilar Hwy. Reckon I've driven a couple of hundred kms today It's been lots of fun A very short trip from the last stop, and that is definitely an Xmas tree. A quick find. TFTC, RhoBoCacher.

# 1364 - After a long break it was time for a play-day with IolantheK again. As she had to collect a few smileys on the north side we took off after meeting at our usual meeting place for, what was to be, a rather fruitful day.
Most of the finds were done by her, of course , but that's not strange when you look at her number of finds!
And this was one of them! Again! Nice Xmas tree...

I had a plan that I was going to go cachng down this way today as I really wanted Yatesville so I left Nanango, home, at 0500. There was only very light drizzle when I left Nanango but the further East I drove the more consistent the drizzle/rain became. Will be a short trip as I really only wnat some hides published in June for my stats. Parked right along side GZ and signed log YOF as that is what I use on small or micro logs or on logs when it is raining so as to not get the log paper to damp. All good with this one.
