A nice Earthcache. Straightforward/sensible questions involving observation. It is good to see that this work is being done. TFTEC Mafushwa
At the request of a muggle friend to take him caching, we set out to 7 Hills area to take on the highly favourited Facey caches. Overall we had a great time, only one DNF, and many very creative hides. Unfortunately my pen broke halfway through, so I got some pics, and can send to CO at request (they are essentially spoilers otherwise). We were limited by a lack of tweezers, but managed to get all of the logs out after struggle)It was great to grab an EC in between. I had been admiring the installations along the creek as we walked along the trail. Thanks for the lesson here Mafushwa. Answers sent to CO.It was hear we turned back to try and find my headphones that I thought I lost.... turns out I didn't
We walked along the creek trail to make the observations on this cool but pleasant winters day, we picked up one of the traditional along the way but we had time issues so quickly completed the trail so we can move on to our next destination.
I used to drive through this area on the way to work for quite a few years. Of course, I was not a geocacher then. Many thanx to the CO for accepting my answers, which fell a touch short. I'll give it a fave point for that, and because the general area has much to offer for the geocacher. TFTC
#10292 (1 of 11 today)Its every catchers favourite day of the year - well every four years anyways - February 29. Decided Id try to up my most different cache types found in a day, and this time there is a WhereIGo close enough to attempt.Started early with an Earthcache before heading south to an Event. Then onwards. In the end I found 10 different cache types and eleven caches overall. I had hoped to finish with a second event, but my last traditional find took far too long.Overall, however, a top day.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Started here - the wrong direction from home for all my other finds, but the only viable Earthcache. A very familiar area gave up its secrets, and I gathered my answers - which have been sent to the CO.Time to hit the road south.SLTNLN TFTC
Not my first EC but my first Earthcache souvenir. Answers sent on my behalf by aunty mizmaz.
Staying at my brothers in Balmain for the week, had narrowed down a few ECs closer to his place for the souvenir but then he said, while we were heading to a friends for the day, he would agree to stopping for a cache on the way to tick off my current streak. Just so happened this EC was the closest and literally a few streets from our destination. Lucky too as it was one I had been putting off for ages when visiting other relatives in the area and that it was not as long as I had first thought. Even able to submit all optional questions along with the compulsory ones.
A top location with an interesting and educational walk. There was kids sport happened so sonde stealth was required.
What a nice walk along the creek. It’s great to see the work the Council has done and how it’s being effective. Thanks for bringing us here, Mafushwa. Have sent our responses. TFTEC Cheers… Gaztek
TFTEC. What an amazing place. Loved it here and wandered around and found caches and did your earth cache. I need to come back and finish the other caches that are here. I was here early in April and was staying with my daughter. Im visiting from the Hunter Valley. I'll send through the answers asap.
It was very interesting to see this area so soon after Sydney's flooding rains. And today it was raining too - but lightly. Good weather for ducks.
Thank you Mafushwa for placing this Earthcache.
Thank you Mafushwa for placing this Earthcache.
Found this one today at around 2pm. I was working nearby and wasn’t dressed properly for caching. Lots of water been through the creek. Will come back one day for the traditionals here TFTC. Answers sent to CO already.
TFTC Thank you for setting up this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
What a great Environmental Project, and achieving great results. Very interesting. Answers send to CO. OCW Brewmaker. TFTEC Mafushwa
Did this EC with EverestHigh on a journey out west. This creek has had some excellent work done to keep it clean. Some interesting signs to provide information that explains all the work. The creek was flowing freely after all the heavy rain recently, and looks quite clean. Answers sent to CO by EH. TFTEC
It’s so easy to take things for granted and it isn’t until you learn about them that you understand the reason behind the design of a structure. It’s good to see the council doing their bit for the environment and the local area. Answers sent to the CO. I’m not very good at earthcaches so hopefully it’s a pass. TFTC!
TFTC. We had a very nice walk around the creek today and we also learned a thing or two.
Great earth cache filled with interesting information about Lalor Creek and its regeneration. TFTC!!
Nice to see that people are taking the health of our local suburban creeks and streams seriously. TFTC
Found while out on a short cache day, not the first time I've cached around here, answers to be sent soon.
Found the site and sent off the answers to CO.
Good to see the restoration works.
Thanks for the cache

TFTC and the info. Love how the cockies don't move when you walk towards them. Ducks were pretty
We had a nice little drive today, and it was nice to learn about what's being done to protect the creek. TFTC
OCW Sensible Shoes and Shoes Junior. Nice drive to this cache. We completed the required steps to complete the earthcache. At the second waypoint, we all saw MILLIONS (well, maybe a bit less) of little fishy/tadpole things! It was nice to learn about the prevention of erosion. TFTC
Completed all waypoints.
Will complete log and send answers later this tonight - PROMISE.

We visited this earthcache in damp conditions, observing a healthy flow, which assisted us in our study of the rehabilitation works.
Thanks Mafushwa for setting up this earthcache and bringing us to this interesting location.

I visited this interesting place with Mr MR who has sent our joint answers to the CO. Thanks Mafushwa.

It was a rainy day so a great day to see the water catchment of Lalor Creek in action.
For today I limited myself to the two mandatory waypoints, but I will come back to do the full tour. Answers have been send.
Thank for the Earth cache Mufushwa!

Complete this recently while in the city for medical reasons. The work they have done here made a great difference to the area.
Thanks for bring us to the area to see what can be done with a little bit of hard work and thought.
Thanks for this cache Mafushwa, Lil Donna

#4744- After all the rain of the past few days, I picked up thomo31 to head out here for earthcache day. We circled the are doing each waypoint in turn and deciding on answers which she messaged to the CO. Rarely get out here but it was my nearest I found earthcache, so nice for.a Change. Thanks for the science lesson and cache.
Having had rain mostly since we got back from holls I hadn't thought of the Earth Cache weekend souvineer till Waywardwoman contacted me today. She picked my up and we headed to GZ. No rain this morning so we enjoyed a walk around the creek collecting the information needed, and sent it to the CO. Saw a couple of Ibis and a cute male Superb Fairy Wren along the way. Nice to see the work done in the area. Thanks for bringing us here.

Streak Day #1904 - Nice walk around with dave8153 for this cache, have sent answers through. Really enjoyed learning about this one.
Met some old mates for a barbie in the park and went for a wander around the creek afterwards. The works provide an interesting contrast. Thanks Mafushwa.
Rode the bike here yesterday and came back today to find another nearby cache as well as this one. Enjoyed walking around with MrsMalkovich, spotting white cockatoos in the trees above the creek. TFTC!
The fourth find for the day. Well on our way home now, we wanted to stop by and grab this cache for my counties challenge. We parked right by WP1, grabbed the info there and then headed on round to WP2. Answers sent to CO. TFTE Mafushwa, thanks for showing us a cool little spot in the middle of suburbia!
Was driving home to Canberra with Cankid after a very big weekend up at the Oz Geomuster Mega event. We needed a cache to fulfill this particular countie in Sydney on the way and what better than an Earthcache in a suburb!
We parked near the first waypoint and started discussing the questions and answers.
We soon then moved on to the other waypoint and discussed some more before coming to a conclusion and deciding to head off for some well earnt lunch.
Cankid recorded all of our findings and will send them through to you soon. I will also upload the picture of us at one of the waypoints

Answers finalised and sent to the CO at 5:42pm. I had just earlier logged a grid filling D1/T4 and had been eying this Earth Cache for sometime and decided the time was right to go for it. I arrived to GZ and set about gathering my answers. I visited all the waypoints and took down as much information as I could to formulate my answers. I sat upon the grassy knoll to write my email to the CO and then this log. I really enjoy Earth Caches and this was another very well put together effort. Cheers Mafushwa. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
We also found this beautiful earthcache during our tour through the park.
Thank you

My first Earth Cache. A cache right up my alley with engineering, flooding and stormwater.

We came out on EarthCache Day 2017 to find this cache. The geogirls had a great time walking to the various WPs and it was great to be able to teach them about the creek and erosion. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC!

This was an interesting earth cache at somewhere we had never visited before. The information was gathered and answers were sent to the CO, who kindly gave us some feedback in their reply. The before and after photos certainly showed the improvement in the creek conditions. Thanks to Mafushwa for creating this cache and bringing us here to show what can be done to improve the water quality in our local creeks and waterways.
Visiting from Oregon, USA, for a family reunion, I spent a very enjoyable time strolling around the paths of this reserve and learning about the area. Many thanks for taking the trouble to create such a nice earth cache.
Great little EarthCache not too far from home & work. I decided to head over here to earn the HQ Souvenir on offer today and then realised that some really good friends of ours lived right opposite one of the waypoints I visited. I love that this amazing hobby is not only heaps of fun, but is a great way to explore both familiar & unfamiliar places a little more and that it's also a great way to pay tribute to Mother Nature with EarthCaches and CITO Events. #719 - Looking 4 Cache iPad App
This was the only find for today. I had noticed this EarthCache had popped up on the map some time ago but thought it best to save it for International EarthCache Day. I parked near WP1 and realised that I had found a cache in the wall of the riverbank a few years ago. That particular cache drove me nuts so I spent quite awhile on the wrong side of the fence. After answering the question, I walked up to WP2 and observed the area to answer the question. It is great to learn about the restoration processes that is paid for by our council rates. I have sent an email with my answers to the questions. TFTE.

Happy Earthcache Day!
I saved doing this cache for today. Been here many times previously to find caches but I never paid attention to the creek. Sometimes it takes an earthcache for a cacher to stop and look futher than just under a tree. I hadn't realised the reason behind the work done here other than to clean it up. Happy sounding frogs at WP2 and dragonflies too. Thank you for bringing me here and making me take notice of the creek in more detail. SL #2721 on streak day #1557 TFTC

Had saved this local cache for earth cache day. There used to be 2 of Team Sunderland caches here, both alas no longer in play. So I've got up close and personal with the area before, but without paying much attention to the creek beyond trying not to fall in!
Answers sent to the CO. Lots of wildlife about, plenty of frogs and saw 2 families of wood ducks with their ducklings.
TFTC & the souvenir.
I enjoying reading up on this earthcache. Was in the area anyway, so great timing. Email sent through with good answers (I hope).
Thanks for creating this Earthcache.
Thanks for creating this Earthcache.
Visited this Earthcache during a pleasant Saturday afternoon bike ride down Windsor Rd. While the sun was shining and the sky was blue, it had rained quite extensively the previous evening, which helped demonstrate some of the features of this Earthcache and help me answer the questions. TFTC Mafushwa!
Was passing through and thought I'd check out this earth cache. Got the required info and have sent the CO the answers. There has been a lot of work done to this creek over the years and it certainly has paid off. Thanks for bringing me here.

A nice wander around here this afternoon looking at all the work that has been done. Not only this assists with erosion, it creates a much better environment to look at for us all the enjoy I think. Answers sent off. TFTEC!
I'm not a regular earth cacher, but i don't mind finding the close by ones. As one of the few caches in my easy to get to caching grounds I drove by to claim a find before work.
Thanks for all the work put into this cache.
Thanks for all the work put into this cache.
A visit to Pearce Reserve and the signage info on both sides of the road is well worthy of an earthcache.
Arrived late on a Saturday afternoon detouring home, photos and info gathered. Nice compilation of an earthcache, well done.

I was actually out here geocaching one day while they were building it a few years back. thought it might be a good spot for a cache
{FTF} joint with morry9 & bella at waggy! I noticed the 'Lalor Creek' Earth Cache had been published the night before but, knowing how challenging Earth Caches can be in the dark, decided not to venture out straight away. I messaged morry9 and bella at waggy, and both were keen for an early morning raid, before work. Morry9 arrived at my place at 5:50 AM and we drove out to Kings Langley to meet up with bella at waggy at 6:30 AM. He arrived not long after we did, and we strolled over to the published co-ordinates to see what task was in store for us. We inspected the site and worked out the answers fairly quickly, and shot off an email to the Cache Owner... yay, a joint First To Find too! We checked our watches (or phones) and figured we still had some time up our sleeves and went for a walk to the other end of Pearce Reserve to find 'our 1st' and 'Orange' Traditional Caches. Both took a few minutes to locate but we soon had the Cache In Hand and were able to perform the signing duties. Signed Log, Took Nothing Left Nothing for both. Worth getting up early for and we were able to make it back in time for work. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners!
Answers sent. A check with JordsAu that he and Morry9 had not done another midnight run and we agreed to meet up before work to check out this new listing. A chilly start to the morning but we were rugged up enough. We visited the way points and discussed the answers before we sent off on behalf of the group. TFTEC
1/7/16. 1:42 PM. Cache #3983.
1 cache today in Kings Langley.
Knowing I wasn't going to be able to get out for a dawn FTF run, I politely declined an offer to join the others, but had intended to make this one today's cache as it's one of my closest unfounds. I'd planned to head out late morning, but ended up leaving after lunch instead. I got here and made my way ti each of the waypoints, making notes at each. Satisfied I had a good enough understanding, I headed off.
I didn't have time to email the CO until late this evening, but I made sure I did that first before compiling this log. Assuming all is OK. Thanks for the EC!

{FTF} combined with JordsAu and Bella at Waggy. So last night sitting on the couch watching the NRL, JordsAu called me and told me about the earth cache and to be at his pl at 550 am. So I headed out at early Friday morning and we met Bella at Waggy at GZ 630am answered the questions. Then walked around and found some caches in the area. Another FTF earth cache. TFTC. Cheers.
