Day two of a northern adventure with Mr’s Z, T & B and SirFancy.
Today was a day off two halves all around Geraldton.
The morning was spent walking around Point Moore and West End before retreating to the accommodation for lunch and a swim.
The afternoon was our numbers run for the day completing the series along Alexander Drive, grabbing a couple of mysteries and having a run around at the foreshore.
Today I finished with 25 finds, 7 adventure labs and 2 DNF’s.
• • • • •
Thanks Miss-Placed for placing Alexander Series #4 for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 14:58 on 10/4/2022.
This is find number 4359 for me.

Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
Day 3 of the road trip with the boys C10,B12,L1.77 - lots of laughs and perhaps a little therapy will be needed after this trip. But one thing is for sure - I am determined to get a few more yellows on the map on my final full day here in Gero. Many thanks to the COs for the mix of caches. Sorry for the genetic log
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Cheers Miss-Placed!
Cheers Miss-Placed!
Started our 2nd tour of WA now touring around the south slowly heading north on our way home to Cairns. Did your Alexander Series #4 today. 3 March 2022 1:45 pm Tyfc Miss-Placed total caches now 4425 .
Came back to avenge a 2year old frown. Found the log book. Placed it in a new waterproof bag & slipped it in a mint tin. TFTC Miss-Placed
Easy find but log book is completely wet, would recommended replacing the container too
Found, log book soggy would recommend putting it in an actual container, zip lock bags suck for keeping moisture out
Today in Geraldton we used to visit the Alexander Series. We were able to find most caches well. Unfortunately we couldn't find a few and some were quite tricky or well camouflaged. Thank you for the cans.
Hi there Miss-Placed. While out on the road today we found this cache after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Miss-Placed for this cache - our find 7905
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply cruising around in Geraldton
.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'Miss-Placed' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Alexander Series #4' and the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately. Replacement logbook was provided at location.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest.

Found it. TFTC Miss-Placed. So many DNF’s and I was tempted to bypass this one. It took about 15min and me and my GPS don’t really get on. This was just one of those times I decided to follow the GPS after not having success. Well, this was not where I was expecting but the co-ords were good. I replaced as found.
Out and about around Geraldton to clean up some areas on the map, happily claiming a smilie here TFTC
Found it took a few minutes all is good with the cache on a road trip from Tassie TFTC
Out and about in Geraldton WA and decided to go chase a few caches, Lucky we are staying nearby.

We arrived in Geraldton this morning and set up at the Batavia Coast Caravan Park. We had noted this series a few days ago and decided it would be great to do on our bikes. As it was such a lovely day we thought we might as well do it straight away. We got to number 20 when Mrs SKI’s bike let her down so she continued and found the last 2 while Mr SKI ride back to the caravan to get the car so we could transport the bike and the flat tyre home.
Out of the 22 caches in the Alexander series we found 21, only missing out on number 19. We had 2 goes on number 12 before finally locating it, finding number 13 and then backtracking as we hate to miss out!
We loved the variety of different hides, although we were messed around a few times when we thought we had a pattern worked out only to be proven wrong! We are still grumpy about number 19, but as we are here for a week we’ll probably go back for another shot!
Sorry about the generic log, we forgot the iPad we use to log as we go. We really appreciated the ride (except for the flat tyre) and the opportunity to grab a series of caches on our way. We also appreciated the variety in the caches and a few in particular that were clever and showed ingenuity.

This cache also managed to do a runner! Have replaced it with a new container and log inside a ziplock baggie. Happy Hunting
We'd been on a bit of a roll up to this one but that stopped here.
Can't believe that after a shower a few finds back it was now stinking hot!!!!
What is it with the Geraldton weather???? We saw a sign somewhere saying this is Sun City!!! Liars!!!
Thanks.

I’ve been caching with friends for a while, so decided to start up my own account. This is a brilliant series, I have loved every cache! Thanks for hiding it for me to find, and for taking the time to place a clever hide Miss-Placed. I did need to make a few PAF, but I got there in the end.
Aha very clever hide, loving this trail! Missed number 3 as a car parked right there but will go back now as it has gone TFTC
Find #992, nice hide. Found with Team Outnabout while on holidays. Looking like we will hit the 1000 mark today. TFTC.
Arrived in Geraldton Sunday night and decided to head for the Alexander Series first thing in the morning for the Planetary Pursuit. I loved this series, all set along a barely used stretch of road and made up of all sorts of containers and hides - some easy and some fairly tricky - all of it was fun! I have missed a couple but will go back and try to finish them off later in the week. Thanks so much for this series of caches Miss-Placed!
This one earned a favourite from me!

Getting back into geocaching this morning (after a leisurely 2 year break!) prior to the remnants of Cyclone Joyce bringing rain.
Park and grab raid in the humidity. Number 4 of the Alexander Road series. Very clever!! Thanks for the hides MissPlaced.

Day 2 of our mini road trip and still in town doing some more caching. Today's plan tackle Alexander series then head to Northampton, Nabawa, and Nanson then back to Gero.
Have a few caches on my list so fingers crossed we can manage as many as possible
Turns out another warm day in town and I didn't pack my shorts
Started backwards on these ones since we came from town. A great series with a couple of DNFs due to being on time restraint for searching. Have to admit muggle is good at this
A quick find here by me

As we were almost into Geraldton, we decided to come in via a side road and pick up as many of this series as we could. Some we did not find in the time limit for each cache that we allowed ourselves, so we would just move on. Some had excellent camo and others were more simple. Thank you Miss-Placed for this great series, for the variety and the fun. This one deserves a favourite point for the we thought out camo.
Den Ort besucht und den Cache schnell gefunden. Besten Dank fürs Verstecken und greetings from Switzerland.
On our way from Coral Bay to Geraldton, we decided to take some time to find some caches after the long trip.
These looked pretty good.
The Cache could be found after a short search.
Thank you for the nice series.

Headed out early this morning with iluvtrekking with Nanson and surrounds as our destination. Of course there were other various locations to explore along the way and some great caches. After a big day we decided to do this series as we headed back towards Geraldton. Although we enjoyed the series, must say that there were very few 'free give aways' in the hides. Majority of the finds were well earned. Thanks Miss-Placed
After spending the day with richlink out in the countryside we decided to tackle this series on our last leg heading back into Geraldton. All in all this was not an easy series and we really had to earn our smilies. Thanks Miss-Placed
Headed up to Geraldton for 4 days to try and find as many caches as we could. Its been 6 months since we were last there and there has been so many new caches come out that we will need another trip there to find them all. We ended up finding 215 and about a dozen DNFS. We picked a few up on the way and did a detour on the way home to Mullewa and i must say the wildflowers are beautiful at the moment. We found a great variety of caches including a couple of wherigo,s, lots of field puzzles, multi,s and the highlight for the hubby was doing the chirp cache. I would like to say all caches were found quickly but that definately wasnt the case lol.... There was some very tricky and sneaky hides that took quite a while to find with a few we went back a couple of times to till we found them. We managed to find a few that we previously had DNFS on and it was was great finding a lot of creative cache containers especially some of the field puzzle ones. Thanks to everyone for the caches and hope to find a lot more on our next trip to geraldton....
22947 found
Another weather was very nice for me... anyway enjoyed search, found and signed. [^]

On a road trip to Gero for the IGD event with Kyzabra, jinta29 and SVKR_WA. Lots of good hearted banter was flung too and fro over the weekend while picking up several dozen caches about the place.
I needed a cache up Northampton way to fill a spot on a challenge I'm working towards ([GC3TR3M](https://coord.info/GC3TR3M)) and managed to convince the others that it would be good idea to take trip a little further north. On the way back we met up with Barnzy12 and cravo10 for a total of twelve eyes at several caches.
We decided to see how many of these we could knock off before lunch and came up with a group name of PGC (Perth Geocaching Coalition, or something).
cravo10 came up with the goods here.
Miss-Placed I found your cache at 11:58am, this was the 18th of 40 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3399. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Headed to Geraldton for the International Geocaching Day event on Saturday 20th August.
Barnzy12 and I packed the car at 6am and headed North. Despite making a critical error by choosing the freeway to start the journey we then made it to Geraldton and checked into the motel.
Today was day two and started with a little tree climbing caches with a group of others.
We then headed further north today prior to returning to gero for the event at 2pm.
Signed log as a group Called PGC team or as cravo10 depending on who we were with at the time.

The IGD Geraldton trip is fast becoming a MUST ATTEND weekend and this was my second trip up. Joining forces with Jinta29, Granett and SVKR_WA, we bundled into the SanteFe and headed up.
After a big day yesterday, we hit the ground running with an early start again today.
A couple of early first to finds, followed by some tree climbing, then a trip up to Northhampton.
We caught up with Barnzy12 and Cravo10 to smash out the series
signed as PGC
Miss-Placed - Kyzabra found your cache Alexander Series #4 . This is my find #20 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

We teamed up with Barnzy and Cravo to start this series. The logs were signed as pgc (Perth Geocaching Coalition) . We only got to number 15 before heading off for the IGD event nearby. Thanks for the series.
The second day of our Geraldton IGD trip and we had a plan to grab a few oddball D/T rated caches around town and also a few caches north of Geraldton . Kyzabra, Granett, SVKR_WA and I had an early start today as we had a fair distance to cover. This one was on the list, thanks for the cache

TFTC! Today was day two of the "boys weekend" with me and Cravo heading up to Geraldton for IGD 2016, my third trip to this great part of our state and johns second. Think we will continue to do this every year? Especially with all of the new caches getting published around town!!
We picked up a number of new caches along the route and even some that we had missed on previous visits, being in a 4wd this year made it a lot easier to get to some of the hard to reach places that a 2wd would struggle to get to.
Started day two meeting up with Kyzabra, Jinta, Grannett, SVKR, M4YB, clan Wallace and others to grab some orange tree series caches. We grabbed two and missed two, with safety being a first
Priority, two of them were just simply too high up even with some pretty series ladders!!
We then headed out to Nanson, Nabawa and finally to Northampton to complete the Nabawa Bound caches and everything Inbetween whilst dodging cyclists on the "tour de Geraldton" as we dubbed it. Was some really nice country driving today, this is way I love about caching, getting out and seeing the state on remote country roads.
We headed into Northhampton and found our first cache at the window entrance to town, and were surprised not to see the motley crew of Kyzabra, Jinta, Grannett and SVKR as they were heading to Northampton from the orange tree series so I thought it only fitting to leave them a nice little note in the logbook. We grabbed a couple of other caches around town and were met up by the motley crew at one of them, before we basically joined forces to grab the caches between Northampton and Geraldton. With six sets of eyes the caches didn't really stand much of a chance, although we did have to PAF at one!!
We made our way back into town and grabbed a bunch of caches with the motley crew along the Alexander trail where we signed logs at team PGC, don't really know what it means but that's what we signed the first fifteen or so with until the motley crew decided they need lunch and went their own way and we continued to finish the series and met up with other cachers further down who were out enjoying the sunshine.
Grab a couple of other "must do" caches the chirp chirp cache (highly recommended), Roxy rotunda (previous multiple DNF), something fishy (think we've tried for about five times!!) which was great as we had no DNFs which is very good for Geraldton!!
After lunch we headed back to the room to get ready for the event, arriving slightly later than planned we were only there for a short time before caches were published!! Someone announced twenty four emails had come though and I loaded the map and started running north to the nearest cache, gaining some valuable meters on the competition
It was like a scene from the IKEA ad, with Cravo asking if he should get he car and me yelling back "GET THE CAR!!" So I legged it to the first cache and he got the car and picked me up, it was the first of about fifteen FTFs for the day, we
Completed all of the caches north of the event and then looped back around to grab the caches furthest north and then back toward the event. We had a couple of DNFS Which was disappointing.
We headed back to the event and had the pleasure of completing some of geraldtons finest caches, the shake rattle roll, emergency were awesome. We were one of the few teams that actually didn't need the CO to assist by bringing the key!! Definitely a favourite and probably easier doing it with a beer in hand by the foreshore!!
After finishing the event we had a quick drive out to grab the new plane caches, got 3/4 there and then headed down to the water to complete he whereigo cache (highly recommended) and the two traditionals on the walk. Can't wait for tomorrow's adventure.
Thanks to the local COs for their caches

Hi there Miss-Placed.
We found your cache **"Alexander Series #4"** at 10:30:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14340.
Wow a series; that should help to raise our numbers a little bit.
Well we didn't find them all. Our impression was that the higher difficulty ones were easier to find. , and the lower difficulty ones were not so easy, or even DNF's for us.
We saw that the CO has been out to check on a few, but even knowing that we weren't so lucky today. (A hint on the cache page certainly would have helped.)
On the whole though, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip today.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** If it was big enough we left a smiley badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
