Interesting location. Not exactly quick to find for me today but got it after crashing through branches and re-tying my shoe lace. TFTC
Thanks for the cache! ?? Saw so many spiders, nearly became a spider myself ? Found with TK21EST
Thought this cache was somewhere else at first so was a bit confused when the gps said we were still far away. But then we discovered there was a whole other area below so we made our way there. With much foliage and spider webs it was tough to look for this cache but after battling our way through the obstacles we eventually located the cache. Luckily no muggles will come here, so we had all the time in the world to search. Quite a nice cache Tankengine, thanks .Found with TC216.
Day 23 of my interstate trip. Today was my first full day in Canberra I went to Mount Painter then just made my way around checking out a few Museums as well as a few caches along the way.. I managed to find 18 caches today and no DNF's.After visiting the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia I went walking towards the National Museum of Australia grabbing what I could along the way but between leaving the car and here I lost my pen so I didn't sign the log but did take Photographic proof I found it. Once I got to the National Museum of Australia managed to replace the pen with an overpriced Tourist Trap Gift Shop pencil for $4:50 that included the 25% off sale......TFTC Tankengine
Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega now concluded. Actually my second visit as it was too dark last night! So glad to find this, TFTC
It was just me and the spiders today, although I did hear some rustling near GZ I circled around GZ before stopping to check my distance and there it was, right next to me. I then had to scurry back to the hotel and shower again after such a hot morning caching. Thanks Tankengine
Found on our canberra journey. We wander through the land, grabbing caches and seeing the sights even occasionally catching up with friends A good day was had while grabbing these caches with lots of miles covered Thanks for placing them *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Out and about at the Canberra Mega with Honeysucker, we visited many caches today on Good Friday and thanks to all the cache owners for some awesome caches, and sorry for the generic log.Regards MrCoffee and the "Mega logs" Coffee Clan.
I'd had my eyes on this trad for the last few weeks given I've begun to frequently pass under it (in the car bit, rather than the bookshelf bit) and a questionable terrain rating meant this one mightn't fit as neatly into the streak fodder category as some others on campus.I wasn't entirely sure how to approach gz from some cursory glances at satview, and eventually stumbled upon a wall that was a lot higher than I'd anticipated!I then noticed the path nearby and looped around to a far easier access point with a bit of foliage about the place.Perhaps a little more obstructive than other T1.5s, although nothing especially unmanageable; I took the bush route on the way in and ended up just sticking to the wall on the way out.Having only the dying light of dusk to work off in scrutinising quite a fair amount of scrub, I was rather lucky to get the right angle to spot the cache without spending too much time at gz whatsoever.I signed the log and looked out over the passing cars for a moment before eventually traipsing back out.Certainly an interesting spot here, and a vantage point I suspect only few venture to see (though I do wonder if it's enhanced by any degree for the folk responsible for putting up those massive letters presently advertising the ANU open day!)Thanks for hiding this one here, Tankengine!
Found this one on a previous caching trip, but forgot to log it back then. I approached too high, too low, then the long way around, but got to GZ eventually.I think the T saying might need an update with the current amount of growth as GZ the as a bit challenging to get to. Fun little place though that Ive been past countless times and would probably have never paid enough attention to ever know this spot existed if not for this cache. Thanks for bringing me to this spot.
#4354 Initially started off a little high so did a short diversion around to get to the required level. Left the bike behind and made the remaining 20 metres on foot.Coordinates were spot on and despite dodging a couple of shrubs I got in and out without a scratch. Thanks Tankengine. Never thought Id get the view from here.
This had been in my pirate list for a while, but never had the memory or time to grab, but today was the day for an adventure while the brain just did not want to work. I approached from the wrong end and had to back track. With a new course to navigate I was finally on route. Alas, the gps was spotty. With a wary eye out for snakes and spiders I started exploring.
With the erry hum and the rush of traffic below and knowing the like MO of the CO I have a though - finally, hazzah, the cache was in hand! Alas though, the pen did not work. A return trip soon to sign, as well as to see this cool hidy spot again.
Tftc - a fav for the location from me.

Cool little area !! Half the group refused to go in, but it was a satisfying find in the end. TFTC !!
Finally came back to find this one, lovely spot, loud yet quiet. Thanks for the cache!!
TFTC. I didn’t know this area existed. I had fun exploring it and watching the cars come and go.
What a weedy weedland tucked away with the gentle hum of traffic. TFTC will log the two pin too
Avenging a DNF. But what a cool place. I've driven under here so many times in the past but didn't know about this garden. It's a bit run down ATM. But very interesting.
Btw. I like the new style of edc.
Thanks for the cache TS. A favourite point!

No luck on this one. Interesting location that took a few goes on a way to access.
At the gz found a suitable bush, but a suspicious branch has been removed. no other pruning else where. see photos.
thanks for the fun.

What... in there !!! ouch, thistle! ouch, thistle! ouch, thistle! ouch, more thistles! Made it to GZ, took a little bit to narrow down the location, but eventually signed, then... ouch, thistle! ouch, thistle! ouch, thistle! ouch, more thistles! and we're out, what a relief, TFTC, the splinters and my new designer weed covered jacket Tankengine
Stayed in thecity between work and a movie put on by work at the Palace Electric. Got a bite to eat and then thought I'd better get a geocache.
Have gone past this hundreds of times keeping it for just a day like this.
Mind you, I just pulled up at the movies on my bike covered in dead bits of weeds.

Quite the hike through the ruggered forest though found it eventually with social Canberra, took nothing left nothing, thanks for the cache/adventure
Took a bit to zero in on GZ with my phone, but a quick find once I managed to do so, thanks for the cache.
When I got to the cache I realised I left my pen in the car, derp. After Bush bashing through that I wasn't going back to grab it. The thistles that previous caches had said were in here have all died back but it was still thick bush and well hidden for a city cache. What an interesting spot I never knew existed. TFTC
Great unknown location to us, unfortunately no find after 15-20 minutes of looking coming in from South end. Soooo so many thistles, a bunch of very cool spiders and one giant moth wee found however.
A bit of a scramble through lots of thistles but cache was found at GZ! Thanks for the cache Tankengine
Went for a very early morning bike ride/run around the lake today. Lucky we left when we did, because by the time we'd finished, it was a scorcher!
One word sums up our experience at GZ - OUCH!! So many thistles!! Back up, there's one in your butt. Turn around, there's one in your face. But we made it in the end, and it was a pretty cool spot! Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. TFTC Tank!

I wish my camera could do cool traffic time-lapse photos! This spot is perfect for it! Relatively quick find once I figured out how to get down to the overtunnel! TFTC!
I have driven through the tunnel so many times with the knowledge that this cache was up here somewhere.
Today I found my way in a searched until I finally came up with the find. Thanks TE.

Today, I decided to do an ANU clean up of the adventure labs and caches on offer. A public holiday and school holidays means way less muggles and plentiful parking-which makes caching around campus MUCH easier!
I've driven past this spot for YEARS but have never stopped due to being on the go for work! Today whilst on my geomission around the area I made a point to finally make the nab. Wandered down from the geounit and then it was on with the search. Went round and round for a few moments before spotting the CO's trademarked container and attachment method
Thanks for the hide, Tankengine!

Out on the hunt with GLISS! K8TYBEE, onieferret and Lacealot trying to clear out the rest of the ANU caches.Yay for Lacealot you had this one in the bag. Great to add another little Tankengine cache to our collection. Who even knew this little hideaway was here!! Thanks for the cache
Found out and about with K8tybee, Nibletricecakes, GLISS! and special cacher Lacelot.
In my 40 years of living in Canberra, I have driven through this tunnel many times. I have often wondered what was on top of the tunnel and now I know. Thank you for bringing us to this unknown area.

E E E E EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE [Found!] at 10:56am!
Caching day has commenced, on the attempt to smash a previous record of 18 caches in a day we got up bright and early to start! We got a lot of places today! So wake up at 7:00 and GO!
Went out with Coolducky around Acton for some more caching. Wow, this place was difficult to get to! Not physically but mentally! That might explain the 2.5 difficulty. The actual cache was found easily, no troubles. I love these containers. TFTC Tankengine!

I’ve driven under this GZ countless times but today I took that chance to find it. TFTH
Found during a walk down to the Acton Peninsula on Lake Burley Griffin before heading back to my accommodation on Northbourne Avenue during a trip to Canberra for work. Headed in for the cache find at the correct level, as luck would have it. Thanks for the cache Tankengine!
I initially thought I might approach this one from the car park to the North East, but my propensity to take the easiest option available got the better of me so I ended up coming in from the South.
A short walk through pretty easy terrain and I arrived at the area my GPS suggested was GZ. Right, this could take a little while to track down I thought as I shuffled further and further into the trees. I was pleasantly surprised to spot the cache almost straight away and was pleased that I chose to approach from a particular angle. I reached in for extraction, signed the log and returned as found. [^]
I can see how this could prove to be a challenge.
Cheers Tankengine.

I had an unexpected opportunity to cache this afternoon. I had some target caches still to get on my Canberra trip, including one that I had failed at the last stage at last night, so I had to take the opportunity to finish it and of course pick up some on the way. This was one in between where I was and where I needed to be, so it had to be attempted.
Near GZ I was initially at the wrong elevation but closed in on and had a reasonable look around, but didn’t find the cache. I moved on as I had limited time and had a target cache to get to.
Unfortunately I have no immediate plans to be back here and returned home interstate this evening so I don’t know when or if I’ll be back.

Had visited here previously on the evening run but found myself on the wrong level and with little interest trying to get down today in broad daylight it was all much clearer after finding the right level and with a quick search the cache was found. Tftc.
Once I found how to get to the right level it was then a matter of examining each tree
With BonEm, out about around the city today.
Have ridden up the nearby bike path countless times, not realizing this area, was just over a stones throw away.
Thankfully my GPS had us in the right area and BonEm made the find.
A nice typical TE container.
Thanks TE from bringing us out this way.

Having travelled all the way from Brisbane to attend the Mega event over the Easter long weekend, I was out and about from just after sun up with the aim of collecting as many caches as possible on my lengthy wish list. This was one of the caches on the agenda for today, making the short list based on the number of favourites awarded so far.
Being a public holiday today, there were very few cars in the car park nearby and I decided to take the risk and assume parking would be free today. With barely anyone else around the area today< it did not seem odd at all as I made my way to GZ (once I worked out which level I needed to be on). Getting to GZ the first thing I noticed was the unexpected scent of old library books wafting through the air. Flashbacks of time spent hunkered in uni libraries researching assignments was triggered, and I had to draw myself back to the present and concentrate on finding the cache. I was lucky that I headed almost immediately to the hide site - I was looking at my phone at the time and looked up to see the cache staring right at me. TFTC

A lovely afternoon walk accompanied by lots of thunder and eventually rain. But much enjoyment and a couple of caches along the way.
This was the first stop after walking from the Alinga Street light rail stop. The rain was closing in and I was keen to at least get this down before it. I had been very near here before but, like basically anyone else not looking for the geocache, had not been to this actual spot. As is my way, I managed to find the least easy way here. A bit of circling around was required before I sighted the prize. TFTC

Found with Miz Wacket on our geo-tour of Canberra escorted by Zimba W. What I particularly liked about this location was that it was outdoors, but smelt of libraries.

I started by finding a few caches around the MEGA ground. Next, I headed out with AngusnmumyAdventures and LilDonnasAdventure to enjoy the fun that the ‘Clear Waters’ mega event has to offer. We also collected some caches around the Canberra to try and fill in our ‘Cacheopoly’ board. Lots of fun and creative hides were found that were on the list to find and also some bonus finds. Some of which were GCA finds for me. After finding the answers to claim a find on ‘The Federation Rocks!’ we headed off in our separate ways. Most were quick finds and were great to see that they were all maintained and in good shape. TB visit on all caches and most were signed as AMA, LDA & JM to save time and space. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the caching community. TFTC’s
It was a lot of fun getting this cache & I liked watching the cars go under us. TFTC.
I came here with bushwalkinggirl, we made a quick find & then watched the passing traffic, while we enjoyed not having to rush anywhere. Except to the next cache TFTC, this was a fun one.
Initially I was barking up the wrong tree - literally! Trusted the coordinates and thought about the hint and finally had cache in hand

It was a nice afternoon, so I decided to go for this one. I have been to this general area before, a few times to watch the NYE fireworks and avoid the crowds. But you don't avoid the mozzies! This time, being daylight, there weren't any about. I started searching and then decided to change tactic. More searching, then I checked the hint. Yes, that's what I'd mostly been searching for, but there were so many potential spots. Systematically I increased the search area and soon after had CIH. TFTC.
Took a bit of a search to find this one, but find it I did.

It was a nice sunny if windy afternoon for some caching on the way the movies in town. This was our final of our run today. We nearly found it last weekend but ran out of time so returned today. Now it's time to see a movie!
I've often wondered what it was like on top of the tunnel. I've never been this end of city and had assumed it was just another road. This spot is pretty special I think. Initially I wasn't sure what level it was on or even if I could access both. What a surprise. Great spot for a cache. I left a tb here as I think it's worthy. Cache found in good condition. Tftc
Staying a night in Canberra for work so I was up and out early this morning to nab a few caches. Quick find here and a cool piece of history too! Many thanks for the cache.
TFTC - a second attempt at this one in daylight, this time. In the dark with out a torch gave me the heebies a few months back. Interesting spot and somewhat bizarre concept for a tunnel.
Went round and round the cache spot until I had the right angle.

I am out and about hoping to log a few connoisseur caches for the souvenir. Although this one doesn't yet make the classification (>10FPs) I reckon it should.
I love these sort of hides, where I feel a bit like a naughty child. They say that children have a map of their world that is very different to an adults "map". Because it includes places like this, out of the way and strangely exciting.
They tell me there is quite a bit of my grandfathers furniture in the tunnel. Occasionally someone cares enough to restore some of it. The best is still at Uni House made of seasoned blackwood. Seasoned because some of it was in a boat that sunk, or so I have heard.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

Last cache here today before I had to head for an afternoon work shift. Will definitely be returning to the central areas of Canberra tomorrow though to clean out some more caches with the very easy parking on public holiday! Gotta take advantage of that!
Surveyed the map before arriving here and sussed out a good entry point and place to park, once again worked well being a weekend and got the access pretty spot on!
I spotted some interesting artwork stuck to the wall on my way to the cache, have attached that to this log. I soon strolled closer to GZ which the coords were absolutely spot on like usual for a Tankengine hide, and I was lucky enough to spot the cache within a minute or two!
This is the sort of location that intrigues me, somewhere people don't usually go and is relatively "hidden". Interesting history behind it, and standing up against the vents is very cold! Some sort of air conditioning for sure!
Thanks for this one! Love it
