It was a couple of weeks ago that a decision was made to head down to Bacchus Marsh for the weekend. This meant, of course, that while I was here, I would try and get out and do some caching. My plan for today was to spend it in, and around, the Bacchus area targeting a few specific caches that would fill some of my empty Jasmer spots; meet challenge criteria; and be in new LGAs; along with a few random caches in between. Aside from finding all the target caches that I was after, I was able to find a few in between that were quite unique in their creation and definitely worth the favourite points. This made for a very enjoyable day of caching in an area I would hope to return to sometime in the futured. Apologies for the generic log as I have quite a few to write following this trip.Find #9765, at 03:26 pmTFTC
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 42/74, Sunday. The highlight of the day for me was attending a CITO event in the Hopetoun Park and contribute to the Clean Up Australia Day - and meeting the lovely local geocaching community! That is where I headed this morning. After the CITO I continued geocaching for - well - rest of the day. I saw so many quality caches today that I really enjoyed my day. There is no better way to spend a Sunday. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
wow, we literally walked straight past it, it did give us a bit of a giggle, unfortunately no pen to sign it

What a great cache! We did wonder about a micro in the bush here but it was a billinat cache. TFTC and the effort in creating it. Fav point from us.
Whilst driving Parwan Exford Road on our way from Bacchus Marsh to Melton, we noticed that this geocache had high Favourite Points (FPs), so we decided to stop. The geocache had 34 FPs as of the time of our visit, and when we found it, it was nicely themed to the geocache's name. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks sorceysal for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This extended weekend, [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), infant Cottontail and I were visiting Ballarat from Brisbane, targeting the [Ballarat GeoTour (GT4A1)](https://coord.info/GT4A1). Highlights included the historical architecture, buildings, and artwork/sculptures of inner Ballarat, Ballarat Botanic Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, Eureka Stockade, and mountains Mount Buninyong and Mount Warrenheip. We were lucky to have great weather with no rain and mostly blue skies each day, which aided our enjoyment of our trip. Apart from the targeted GeoTour geocaches, our geocaching has largely been opportunistic following tourist sights and attractions, although we attempted/targeted higher D-T combinations from solved puzzles, and rare cache types like virtual caches, Letterbox Hybrid caches, and Adventure Labs.
Today, I had an early start to attempt Ballarat's drain caches that were recommended. A thoroughly enjoyable adventure marvelling at the historic drain brickwork construction.
After returning home and regrouping with the family, we proceeded to the Magpie challenge cache series along Frenchmans Lane, of which I was expecting to walk, but we used the rental car to drive the series. We then returned to Eureka Stockade where we visited the Eureka Centre museum, and had a play at the park's playground.
We then had a few geocache stops that were on our targeted list as we proceeded east to Mount Warrenheip, ensuring we found the 2001 oldie [Medievil](https://coord.info/GCBBE). It was then a final driving loop north/north-east of Ballarat to find our remaining [Ballarat GeoTour](https://coord.info/GT4A1) geocaches, stopping at Kirks Reservoir, Goldfields Track, and Black Hill Lookout. I also had a quick dunk/swim in Lake Wendouree, before commencing our drive back to Melbourne.
During our drive to Melbourne Airport, we had time to visit Bungaree, Ballan, Bacchus Marsh, and Melton, targeting interesting geocaches that included virtual caches, EarthCaches, and those with high Favourite Points.

Over from NZ for a weeks holiday and with nice weather today, we made the most of it by getting out into the countryside for a few caches.
First stop was the Organ Pipes park and the opportunity for four earthcaches. Once they were ticked off, we headed west for some more virtuals and trads with higher FP's.
Stopped off here and have to say this was a very appropriately themed cache and definitely gets a FP from me. Just a pity though about the endless rubbish along the sides of the road out here, which spoiled the experience a bit. I really thought OZ would be a lot cleaner than that. .. TFTC

Finding one last cache as we left the run of their series too late! Pulled over and rushed to find the cache. Lots of webs at night. Eventually got to the gz, with not just a large web but a massive one. With an equally massive spider. (I’m not exaggerating this one), with the web parallel to the cache, I had fo bite the bullet and get the cache without distributing the web or spider! Also had to have a laugh of the ironic cache and the situation!
Next stop and a neat little cache. Found it on the ground and once the log was signed, I found an appropriate spot for the cache to go.
Thanks for the cache. Fav point for the set up and the fun of it.

Another one deserves a favourite In Bacchus Marsh due to a treeplanting day at Werribee Gorge we come out and do some cache
After a cracking morning in the sun at the Hopetoun CITO the day was too good to waste so I started making my way home slowly via a few caches.
A very appropriate cache container for this one! Fortunately I wasn’t bitten while signing the log and claiming the smiley!
Thanks sorceysal for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Out and about today for some geocaching shenanigans with Stemicmitsar today. What's on today's agenda, to head on over to the event in Werribee Gorge and do some general caching throughout the day.
Avoiding the predicted showers (until the afternoon).
With 30 odd caches ticked off for me it was a great day out on a okay winters day.
Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

*Cache find # 12906.*
Today I headed out with buhfuhguh to attended an event but now that is done and dusted, it was time to find a few other caches.
We had started a multi cache earlier on and we were now making our way to GZ but along the way we were passing by a lot of other caches so why not stop and find those as well, so we did, this was one of them.
**Thanks to sorceysal for placing this cache.**

After a week away in Ballarat caching with friends it was time to head home, I decided to make a detour and concentrate on finding the TSS and Three trail caches and any close by, there were some great novel hides on the trails.

Nice quick one as I try to continue filling in my calendar. Not sick of this, even after a BIG weekend at the Wangaratta Mega
On my way to visit a couple of schools for work, I decided to hit up this road to smash out a few caches. Such a beautiful morning so I picked the time perfectly. Signed as DH. Creative hide
Another quick find. Although found it about 10m out in the open, assuming that wasn't its intended spot
Great afternoon caching with Bogonghazy and Geo-dog Bree. Sunny afternoon around BH's home town.

We decided the TSS V2 and the 'Three' series were both long overdue on our to do list. So after a leisurely morning spent at home we set out for Bacchus despite some ominous clouds overhead and enjoyed both series, finding all bar 2, keeping dry as we went.
The roads were very busy so caution was taken pulling over at each cache as we made the finds. We couldn't believe the amount of rubbish along the roadside, people are such pigs. Certainly needs a CITO here at some point!
This was definitely our second favourite themed cache of the day deserving another favourite point.
Thanks sorceysal and dutch frangipani for the fun placement.

Found at 1:35 pm.
Today Fleabag- wanted to find his 6,000th cache with me before he headed off on a work trip so a lofty goal of 74 caches was needed but we got there even though 3 caches into the day the low pressure tyre warning flashed up on the dashboard and we had a slow leaking flat tyre. We mucked around for way too long trying to work out how to change it. It was on the drivers side too ... the wheel that wasn't pulling off onto the side of the road all the time?? I haven't had a flat tyre for probably 20+ years and RACV changed that last one. So for the rest of the day the paranoia of having another flat was hanging over my head and occasionally with the non alloy spare wheel the tyre pressure sensor failure message starting coming up on the dashboard instead. We made it though without another flat on a LOT of gravel roads that Fleabag- managed to keep finding.
It wasn't too busy along here today thanks goodness. Great variety of hides.
Thanks sorceysal and dutch frangipani for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Started the day needing 74 more for my 6000. And my awesome geobuddy was the person I wanted to share this with. The cache is not that important, it's the adventure. So off we went heading north with a mission. And probably lots of maccas.
Nice hide here.

I’m loving this series and the effort put into it. I was wondering what I would chance upon at this cache. TFTC TAD
Very amusing idea and appropriately named.
I searched here for a good 10 minutes before I decided to get a higher vantage point for a look. That helped to find GZ but not where I thought it was.
Very clever hide and loved the creativeness to this cache.

Creepy cache this one. Freaked me out a little haha. Thanks for the find. All looks to be in good order.
This one was a very cute one, well thought of, all looks to be in great condition thank you
Yay we found it. With the last being a dnf wasnt sure if half muggle mum could find it for me (wheelchair wasnt able to go down the hill). Sure enough she came back to the car cache in hand giggling away. Awesome cache.
Wandered around a bit and also needed to keep an eye on the chain sawing firewood person a few clearings further on. Eventually found it! T4TC
We had a look for this one, and despite having 2 sets of eyes, we were clearly lacking here as it is a DNF from us.
-------------------------------------
Woz needed some caches to get his souvenirs for the current GC.com promo (Mystery at the Museum), so we thought we would check out this trail and others in this area.
Not sure what happened to us, but we had a fair few DNFs - neither of us really had our caching mojo on, so maybe we will find it easier to find them next time we are in the area.
A few days in Victoria to lift the mood and catch up with special friends....and what a great break it was. Let's just say there was a little bit of beta testing going on (wherigo cartridges), future plans hatched, yummy meals consumed, laughter shared, stories told and some chilled time woven in also. Events, a tree planting CITO, locating a few caches and lots of driving were all part of the fun.
Thanks to sorceysal! for placing this cache for our enjoyment [^]

Sneaky cache. Must have Wales 0 art several times. Tupiasmum and I had a laugh. Well done.

After a run to Gisborne this morning, HerIndoorsOutdoors and I decided to head home along this way to see if the run to Hopkins Road was as horrible as we thought it would become with all the work and speed limit reductions. It was at least as bad as we thought it would be.
Thankfully there were some caches to hunt on the way to line the dark cloud. This was the second and not quite as quick as the first one as our iPhone took us a bit past GZ before we parked. Unlike a couple of other hunters we can't say we walked right past it as we had already driven beyond where it was and we came in from the other direction. The iPhone was a bit all over the place here, so it was probably the iPhone that was the problem, showing the distance to GZ as 10m when we found the cache. Nice 'camo' .
The cache is in good condition.

This used to be a good way to get between The Marsh and home until they started developing along Greigs Road. Today RGSBruce and I were checking out how much it had changed. Apart from hunting caches on the way through, definitely not the good way to get home it used to be.
We parked in not quite the right place to find this one today, but it didn't take too long after we widened the search a little. We both liked this one.

Sean.75, kenare and I started the day with a breakfast event then headed south for some caching. We had a vague hit list that we wanted to find and we found them all plus a few extras. I had a great time finding lots of different sorts of caches. Sorry for generic logs but I'm tired and I'd rather keep up my logs current incase I forget some (which I have done lol). TFTC

A caching run to build up the numbers after a couple of slower days brought us, along with ilook4geo, to check out the caches in this area. There was a good assortment of cache hide types and it was a lot of fun, as well as being a successful day. Each found log had both names added to the list of finders. All was replaced as found before we moved on.
Loved this series based on sayings and the very apt decor that went with each cache. This one made us burst out laughing when we spotted it. Favourite point has been given for this one.

Crank1, Papi4507, Geoturtle37 and myself set off early this morning for a day our caching. Later in the day we were joined by OzHockeyChick and Posums. Together we managed to find quite a few caches today, in an area filled with quality caches! I accidentally shoplifted a pair of the item at GZ recently. I got home with the child’s present I had purchased, only to realise somebody else had placed a pair in the packet! Oops! Thanks so much for placing this cache sorceysal and dutch frangipani
