Today, on a little trip, we passed by here and found the cache .MPLC and greetings from us from Germany.
An afternoon at leisure before I check in to our Airbnb for the night and so Ive chosen a tiki tour to Hikurangi to pass the time.Another wee detour off the highway. At the GZ I wondered where the cache might be hanging. As I turned to look around I spotted it in plain site in a very copacetic state. Thanks SaltyCacheNutZFind #5434Found using Cachlymsc_20, formerly caching as msebn
Gotta day it was very easy to find. Me and my mum thought to come find this as it along the way yup yup yup
Probably the easiest geocache we've found! Worth a drive around the detour road. Heaps of swaps; we left some too and emptied the water out. Log is wet and needs being replaced. TFTC.
I found it, my first ever geo cache, and added a pin as well as a small candle
Easy find. Super cute
Signed name and placed fairy glitter bottles inside!

Been picking watercress here for years and have always seen this but never new what it was for lol
Thanks so much for getting us started. Our first one! So close too. Walking distance!
Looking around reminiscing about the old days when I climbed and walked all over all the hills around here doing pest control ahh the memories.
Well we are about to start a Cycle Adventure so this cache has the right title. T4tc
On our caching journey up to the north with EyeSpyBen to sort out a few more caches and a couple of series, many miles driven over many days and many caches found, not to many dnfs
but lovely weather, Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements

Decided to try Hukerenui to Hikurangi via the back roads today, and collect 6 caches. All good here. TFTC
Quick cache and grab as I headed down this side road loop to get a few other caches.
It's Christmas Eve, and in the drunk tank, an old man said to me, don't miss another cache. And so I headed out real early for a quick raid of some local, and some not so local options for finds. Around a giant loop and went further than I thought but back in time for breakfast and some nice quiet roads to travel around.
Heading north for Christmas, we're off to Ngunguru for 6 days along the Tutukaka coast and accompanied by our youngest daughter, middle daughter and family, and will meet up with one of our sons and his family too, so a busy time. Had a great time away and ate well, watered well and a bit of fishing and kayaking, awesome weather mostly too in Northland.

North Island Campervan trip Day 9
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I was able to spend the night in a small DOC campsite right on the beach in Woolleys Bay. My main intention for today was to get up to Russell in the Bay of Islands. I haven't been there in over 30 years, and was really looking forward to being there again. After that I was simply going to start heading back south again.
The sun was shining today, making the driving all the more pleasurable.
I was able to park up close to this one and wander over to it without any fuss. However, on finding the cache it is clear that it is in need of some TLC. The lid is completely gone and now it's more of a bucket for rainwater than anything else. I was just about able to sign the log, and then replaced the cache in such a way as to minimise the amount of rain that could get in, but it could really do with a new container.
Thanks for setting up this cache.

This one is not so much a cache as it is a rain gauge. The top is missing and so the container catches rain and was almost full. TFTC.
It's good to find an easy find. Tube is still there, colorful log book is nice. Tftc
Due to the Covid 19 lockdown & the need for everyone to keep within their "bubble", same reason as playgrounds are off limits, so are physical geocaches until further notice. Try some cracking puzzle/mystery caches, and get find the finals later, when it is safe.
Keep Well everyone!

Located this one on a day trip up north cashing the last few TMGT caches. Quick park and grab, no problem with the find but as we were getting back in the car we noticed the farm gate beside us was open and a few heifers were heading towards the gap, with no farmer in sight we quickly shut the gate TFTC.
A nice quick find thanks.
Found on a drive up to Northland to pick up a few more TMGT, and have a holiday with my Ma.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

A large cache, well hidden off the beaten track. We are on our way to collect the last of the Tuia Matauranga Geo Tour caches and jut can't drive passed some of the caches that happen to be along our way. TFTC

Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
What big container just hanging around ...found in good condition...thanks Saltycachenutz for the tidy placement
The name of this cache fascinated me so decided we needed to stop and check it out. Maneuvered the motor home around and quickly signed. Goid timing as John Deere arrived as we left. Thanks for the placement SaltyCacheNutz
A quick find and it isn’t raining here . The school holidays are here and NosyNel and I are on a road trip north - to the far north. TFTC. Signed NNES.

Day nine of our 11 day binge trip we are signing as NNES. We are heading back South from our visit to the very North. Taking a wee diversion to Whangarei.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ for placing this geocache 7858 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.

I came up from Auckland yesterday for a CITO in Onerahi, Whangarei and to collect several old caches and other caches for 35 degree challenge I’m doing at the moment. I stayed the night at Stonehaven Motel and after a very early start I’m up North.
It was 8:30am when I arrived here, so much to see when you get off the main drag. This cache fitted in nicely with my 35 degree challenge, also the 400 min challenge, so 2 birds with one stone. I love how you have such a big container here and it doesn't get muggled! Thanks for placing Salty.

Well what a great Christmas New Years we have had so far it all started off in Friendly Feilding have Christmas lunch with the family then next day Boxing day off to Danniverke for a weeks holiday together so special first holiday with the Grandson hes only 7 months old, then we didn't know what or where to go next so ended up going to Napier and then across the Napier Taupo road got a cache and a trackable, not easy to stop all the time with a large caravan on the back. We finally got to Taupo and said where to now so we kept going and then we got a text message some plans next week had been transferred to the end of January so we could go away for an extra week. We ended up in Walton Gold course for two nights to finish off the Kiwi and another puzzle series got 46 caches in total some were traditionals as well, got that sorted and then headed off today decided we would do the Route 66 trail and Smilie trail so we ended up in Orewa so we are here for a few nights. We set off this morning and completed the Route 66 series had some lunch about 1.30pm then we decided to get some more traditionals in the area and then slowly head off to get some smilie series caches. once we were back to our accommodation had some tea we decided to go for a walk along the beach front and get a couple of caches. Decided to see how many caches we could get in whangarei before heading north. Also looking for our minutes for a minute challenge back in Wanganui, so hoping to achieve that by the end of our holiday too. Stopped here today a lovely day very hot and its still early. Arrived at gz today and found the cache very quickly, signed the log and replaced exactly as we found it. thanks for the cache.
First cache this side of Auckland very surprised to see a fellow local also up this way. Thanks for the placement also spotted as I got put of the car.
After two days of decidedly rubbish weather, it was time to get out of the house and what better excuse is a spot of caching. I'm back in Whangarei to visit my parents for the christmas holiday period and I'm keen to do some caching a little further north to extend my furtherest north cache spot.
This cache was my first target of the day and I spotted it on approach. TFTC

Northland Day 4: Travelled down from Kerikeri, through the beautiful coastline of the Bay of Islands, before ending off in Whangarei. Today’s journey was marked with a bounty of seasides and waterfalls, and with the weather being particularly fine today, there was no excuse to stay in today. Another wholly productive day, with nice haul of caches of all shapes and sizes: a wholly great birthday treat with the family today.
The following is the specific log for each cache:
A quick little detour along the highway brought me here, and the cache was most easily spotted in its bold placement. Signed in and moved onwards. TFTC!

Today we had a trip from Whangarei to Kaitaia, thereby visiting many locations especially around the Treaty Grounds in Waitangi and near the road and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was good all day long with only partly some dark clouds.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to 'SaltyCacheNutZ' for showing us this location and for the fun we had at 'Copacetic Kopeti Cycle (Northland)'. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

A quick find this afternoon, gps had me standing on the road scratching my head for a little but before I managed to spot it. TFTC
Happy Halloween. Long story short. We got stranded at the museum in our motor home with 2 flat tyres and while waiting for repair decided to walk to this cache. Love the logbook colours. TFTC. A lovely find.
TFTC... Brought us to a nice farmland area just off the state highway. Nicely hidden and could go unnoticed if geosenses are sending you to nearby objects!
Retrieved with my geoDad a.k.a Matini264 on our way home from Whangarei this afternoon. We were aiming to get quick park and grabs today as were had limited time to get back.
Was thrilled to see SWAG and a decent sized container. One very thoughtful person left something handy for a cyclist too

TFTC been wanting to check this cache out for awhile as I travel past this road everyday heading to and from work. Got the opportunity today with my daughter Jaimee83 really glad we did what a cool cashe.
We were heading North today to spend a few days up in The Bay of Islands... and naturally we had to pull up the geo-map on the way to see if there were any caches up for grabs. That is how we came to be looking for this particular cache. So after detouring off the main highway, and after finding a park, I made my way to what I thought was GZ... only to have my phone app change position of GZ on me once I had arrived. Anyway, once I arrived at the right GZ I made a nice and quick find. The log book has been signed and the cache is nicely in its place. So thank you SaltyCacheNutZ for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.
Find number 3947. I took the wrong turnoff and ended up at the rugby grounds. Could see GZ from the fields but too far away. Once on the correct road it was straight forward to GZ. Cache quickly found and as it was big enough I left a TB in it. Thank you for the placement.
Heading home from a successful FTF mission in the Far North we detoured here to make one last find before travelling the rest of the way back to Auckland. Had to drive past GZ to find somewhere to turn the camper but were able to park quite close. Once at GZ the cache was quickly spotted. Thanks.
out on a wee road trip enjoying the sunshine with my furballs in tow. lovely to explore this valley and cache as well. sorry but drove my motor as no bike with me today. really slack aye :0. tftc
A quick find while the traffic was thick, on our way north from Whangarei. This was to be the only cache today with the rain and low cloud causing problems later on the east coast. SL. Thanks to SaltyCacheNutZ for the cache
#9587. A quick stop while driving through Hukerenui today. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. But unfortunately Violet was not in the cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
So except for the missing trackable, this cache was almost copacetic.

We had soccer this morning. Then the kids and I were heading down to a friends place for the afternoon, and a birthday party/rage in the evening. Really looking forward to seeing our friends again - it's been quite a while since we all caught up. I've just had time to grab a few caches on the way to ensure my search for the Mary Hyde treasure. I failed to find two on the way so I had to resort to plan B and I looked for this one on the way home. I've driven past this cache many times but I'd been saving it for a souvenir. Today was the day! I was so pleased to find this much needed, quick, park and grab. We swapped trackables as my son liked the look of the one in the cache. Phew! I can go treasure hunting now, TFTC
Out for a days Geocaching. I read the clue and thought I knew where to head, but then I spied something. Cache soon in hand. Dropped TB. TFTC.
Checked on cache while cycling past & picked up the geocoin to move along...
Had to go up to Kawakawa to pick something up so we did that first and then stopped for some caches before visiting GAR's dad in Whangarei. Stopped here (obviously) and saw the cache from a distance. Having had a string of cache containers too small to fit the TBs I had with me in this container was a nice change and we left the Austrian Flag Mico Geocoin. I don't own a bike so not likely to bike up here any time soon but managed it in the car (not really much in the way of exercise in one of these though). Thanks for placing SaltyCacheNutZ!
Stopped for this one when driving from Auckland to Doubtles Bay. Nie and easy catch.

12.05pm - DAY 3 of 3. Final day caching up North today and this was a massive driving day for me today. Kaitaia to Rotorua then home to Papamoa, along with a huge list of caches to collect.
We ended up wasting far too much time on a Wherigo in Whangarei which we had to DNF.
Thankfully mother finds came a lot quicker so made up up for a bit of lost time.
We will have to return one day to collect the ones we missed on this trip.
Enjoyed the weekend with a 100+ caches found. SLTFTC

We were visiting North for the long weekend and thought we would dedicate some time to a spot of geocaching today. This was another quick park and grab for the day, no problems here. Thanks for the hide!
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and Mr Davidson (of Davidson clan). Signed most finds as BGH.
Visiting Northland for Easter... The plan for today was to cache our way back to Whangarei (and home), while picking up as many caches that fill spaces in challenges we are working on. We really hope to make a big dent into several challenges this weekend...
A quick find after travelling 20+ kilometres from our last stop off... It was quite thoughtful to place a spare bike tube in here... TFTC.
