Found 22/08/24. Checked the previous logs and spotted the site and realised i had walked past it several times. Met the cache guardian too, Bring gloves. TFTC
A straightforward find here today. Probably the whitest bridge we've seen in a while - was this just painted? All good with cache and log. Thanks, gazza959!
A fun find on our way through town. Cold day but great to be out and about. TFTC gazza959!
Caching around the area, enjoying the great weather.A quick find here. Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, gazza959, for us and others to find.
Enjoying the country driving with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches picked up along the way. Found and signed. Job done! TFTC.
Just cruising around the countryside with ilook4geo and picking up some more caches along the way. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks go to gazza959 for this cache placement.
When I parked there was another car near GZ, but I couldn't see another soul around. As I wandered under the bridge I had a bit of a look and saw a lizard guarding a likely hidey-hole. Perhaps a bit distracted by the terrain rating, I went up and had a look. There was no easy way to get to where I was now interested in, but I took some photos anyway, and no cache was found.
I continued wandering around the place and poked around various places, but kept coming up empty. As I read some of the past logs I was a bit scared that the lizard I had spotted earlier was the famous cache 'guardian' that doesn't appreciate the box. Given that it had been almost half a year since the last apparent find I was starting to lose hope.
I had another look around the spot and was about to call it off, but as I was wandering up the path something caught my eye, I moved a rock and spotted the cache!
Well, good thing I didn't give up! Cache is still tucked away all safe and sound.
Thanks for the cache.

Quick find. No other cars around but lone fisherman there scared the life outta me TFTC
Going by the terrain level I was expecting it to be somewhat harder to access.
Find number 4938.
The terrain rates and size out us off. But after a little searching found the hide.
Thanks team_lewin for placing this cache.

I came out caching with All7, working through a list of caches (Mostly in Goulburn) that she wanted to find on our way to the event, at Marulan, that afternoon. I had previously found a few of the caches on her list, but was happy to watch her find them ... or help if needed - not that I was much help, when I didn't actually remember where I had found them.
Thanks to All7 for inviting me to go with her - it was a fun day, driving along enjoying the views of snow in the paddocks and on the hills (snow was even falling in Canberra that morning), with a couple dozen fun finds, a freezing but funny event, and a lunch in a nice warm pub
TFTC - Another fun smiley

Have replaced this cache. It’s cover has been jammed in pretty tight to prevent the local inhabitants-skinks- from throwing it out again. Try to replace the same way.
Good to go - cache on!

Quick check on a drive by. Lizard is still there but no sign of the cache. Will replace later
Tiding thing up and finally getting around to logging my DNFs
No find for us here today

Unfortunately, this was one of a couple of dnf's I had today. Given the terrain rating, I did some interesting (read ungainly) acrobatics in the search for the cache, but came up with naught.
Thanks anyway, Team Lewin and Gazza959

A fantastic little series of 100 caches today plus 50 others to get 150 finds on a day yet again. Yes I know it took Loci622 and I 13 hours but it was worth every min.
**This Cache**
Took a while to find this cache, and when I did I figured out why and realised the hint OR terrain didn't match the hide. Didn't read the logs until now, and noticed that someone found it on the ground and replaced it, ahh they must of placed it in the slightly wrong location! Oops, wish I had realised earlier and I would have replaced it in the spot that matched perfectly. Oh well it's slightly easier right now I think!
Thanks gazza

**The Day:**
Today consisted of teaming up with Darksidedan, AngelG27 and joeylovestreasure to do the Tarago powertrail by ALL7. After finishing up at 1pm we all enjoyed lunch in Bungendore, before parting ways. Myself and Dan decided to keep going and spent a further 6 hours caching till dark! We went through Goulburn, Breadalbane, Cullerin, Gunning and then looped around back through Murrumbateman to finally return home.
All up a huge day that totalled close to 13 hours by the time we were done with it!
Thanks to all the CO's for providing a great day out

A successful day was spent outdoors with the familiar gang. The plan was to clear out Goulburn once again. We practically achieved our goal, by finding 40 caches in 10 hours, with about 7 DNF's. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for maintaining the caches that we found today.
After tackling caches on the Northern extremities of Goulburn, we made our way over to the Western outskirts of town. DNF avenged! The cache was easily located this time, cheers.

A great day out with friends to seek out some more caches around the Goulburn area. Thanks to all COs for their caches. SL TFTC . Lid is broken.
The skinks, faithful guardians, have very beautiful markings. Thanks to the CO for bringing me to this lovely little water crossing.
The cache was on the ground but I put it back in the obvious hollow, and put some little rocks in there to hold it in place.

A bit of a tour around Goulburn for a few caches. The paper looked pretty munched up by snails so I added another piece I had in the car, apologies for all the scribble on the back of the paper but all pages in my book had some scribble on them. TFTC.
Heading to Morrisset for the Mega we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
While staying at Goulburn we explored the area and made an easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Today was a good day for a drive around Goulburn with Tassie Trekkers.
Lots of muggles around today and a good variety of hides.
The lizard is still in residence and he had expelled the cache again.
Found it and returned it to his cave, but if he doesn't like it there, it will go again.
Thanks for the cache gazza959,

TF the info and for your work to recover the cache Nationalsteel. I have since replaced it into its original position.
OK, this was a bit of a wild ride. Parked near the road and walked down to GZ, where I immediately spotted a spraypainted Systema lid on the ground. Looking around, I saw a likely hiding spot in a nearby crevice and stuck my face up to it, to see if the rest of the cache was inside. Instead of more cache bits I was greeted by a large scaly object and some beady eyes. I leaped backwards, sideways and straight upwards all at the same time, while making a very strange noise. The reptile's face emerged from the crevice and inspected me. Once I'd calmed down a bit and taken a more careful look I realised there was a family of skinks or similar lizards living in the crevice, but there's definitely a larger and much more jaggedly-scaly reptile at the back there. I tried and failed to take a photo of it with my phone. Anyway, on further reflection the crevice is not actually below the bridge structure, but off to one side, so maybe doesn't fit the description. I found the bottom half of the Systema nearby and some formerly wet but now dry and crispy bits of paper scattered around. Nothing that absolutely confirmed I'd found the container but it seemed an odd coincidence if I hadn't. Signs of muggle activity nearby make it seem likely this one has been vandalised. I reassembled it all, signed one of the pieces of paper (hence this Found log) and put it back at the base of the wall near a small blackberry plant. I'm not sure if that's where you intended but regardless I think an inspection may be in order. Anyway, it's a beautiful location here on the river in the late afternoon light and I think my heart rate has almost returned to normal now.. so TFTC!
We returned to have another go. A nice spot for a cache. That family of lizards were still in their crevice. TFTC
I'll admit, this took us quite a while, it had become less vertically adjusted for some reason and took a while to find in the long grass. We signed the log and adjusted the location somewhat based on the terrain rating.

Due to the severe weather warnings my weekend plans were cancelled. But I still had to get outdoors before I went crazy!
Due to a late start I didn't get to travel as far as I had planned, and also due to a few DNFs I didn't reach my expected quota for the day before it got too dark to continue. In the end I managed to find 16 caches.
A good spot for a cache. I took the geocoins to continue their journey.
Thanks for the all the caches.

We are heading to South Australia before heading to the event in Alice Springs. Today we teamed up with Di and Bill from the team DiMorgan and traversed many of the streets of this lovely town to find caches. This was one we were able to find. Thanks to team_lewin for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Today we were more in the town area. We had a nice tiki tour of the town on our caching tour.

Second day of caching in the Goulburn/Crookwell area. The weather is perfect, nice and clear and low twenties, all you can wish for caching. Again a lot of nice caches and a few I missed yesterday, all finished at the event at the historic waterworks. Then rushing back to the Illawarra to make the home event there!
Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out the caches, keep up the good work and nice to have met a few of you last night.

Last run before the big trip down south to the Surf Coast Mega event. There are a lot of new geocaches in Goulburn since the last time I cached up this way; and it wasn't that long ago. The gusty winds of the last few days had not abated and it was not warm.
It took quite a bit of searching various spots. I chased a few cache guardians in the hope they would lead me to the treasure, but no much luck there. Eventually I got it.

#5079 - 10:55; On a caching run to Goulburn with Sol de lune to collect some of the newer caches which have been published since our last visit. Made our way out of town to for a few more. We had collected the sister cache to this one, but made harder work of the hunt here than was perhaps experienced by others! I was closing in on GZ when I spotted a small brown snake curled up at the base of the bridge, so focussed the hunt elsewhere. It eventually moved off and after some careful checking at ground level, moved in to the first spot we should have checked, because that's where we found the cache. TFTC team lewin
First thing we spotted at GZ was a brown snake, that LuckyL10n almost stood on.....and from there we continued to look in all the wrong spots. Eventually we came back to where the GPS was pointing, and with our big boy pants on...we looked around GZ a little more....withLuckyL10n coming up with the find.
Suffice to say the log was signed quickly, cache was replaced...and we were gone.
Great looking bridge.....and a cache that we were glad to move on from. Thanks for another one TL.....
The first week back for softball was cancelled, so we had to come up with something to amuse ourselves for the day. We collected the Geomum and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she wanted to join in the festivities for our jaunt up the highway to clear out the newish posted caches in the Goulburn area. Mother nature was kind and turned on the good weather, and finds were coming in thick and fast with only two DNF's for the day. Great company, a few laughs and the token stop at Trappers Bakery for lunch made for a delightful day.
A second time for us here, a stop at another time was in the dark, it was good today to find it straight away.

With the sun shining, plans were put into place with the FFLL ladies and FFLL geomum to head out on a road trip to Goulburn and surrounds for some cache collections. Was a wonderful day it was and with great company
Up the hwy we go, passing the awesome looking Lake George, wow I have never seen it with that much water in it
Well it was time to return and reattempt this one. Our last attempt resulted in a DNF however this time, FFLL#1 had an idean which made for a very quick cache find and retrieval, log signed and cache replaced.

A days caching with steeba and Hoojar had been a few weeks in the planning. The all-important question of where to go, loomed….. A quick study of the gc.com map showed an influx of new caches in the Goulburn area so today we set about finding the plethora of caches that dotted the region.
Under cloudy skies this cache was one of the 70 we found today. Plenty of water flowing today
Thanks to all the CO’s for their respective hide.

I was out for a day of caching with The Rats, steeba and Juno. We had been planning and solving for a few weeks in preparation. Our main target area was to clear out Goulburn, which seems to have had quite an influx of caches over recent months, I swear it was not that long ago that I had none anywhere near here to find!
On a cool day we had an early start and managed to knock over around 70, mostly before lunch too! This was one of the many finds for the day. Thanks to all of the cache owners for placing their hides, I look forward to coming back to town soon to find our couple of DNFs.
Great bridge, I went too high, but The Rats made the find.
Cheers
