Had a job near by and saw this cache was near by so I went for a quick drive to tick it off. I enjoyed the drive and the view. Thanks

Tftc Blamo!Spotted this one as a minor side trip from Koornalla. With geohound and geoteenager in tow, walked the trail and made a quick find. Like a nice bush cache, so a fave from me.

After visiting Tarra Bulga NP in search of clues for the Golden Dragon I decided to head back down pass Mt Tassie as I hadn't been here before. Then I saw this cache so headed off to find it. Good views here as well so after a very enjoyable short the cache was in good condition. TFTC

after a day trampling up hill and down dale and up hill again, we were in the mood for a little nightcap
and so made the quick side-trip here to finally tick off this tempting-looking treasure

a vanguard of dirt bikes silently saluted our crusade from the car park
but the rest of the park was quiet
sitting
waiting in the darkness
for two bumbling walkers to loudly bluster through, crashing, bashing, torches shining willy-nilly, raising the forest from its slumber

old man possum bared his fangs and snarled
before laying down to rest with a reluctant “if you must”

The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so I decided to head out for a day out of the house and a nice walk along the TCT trail, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves, sanitizer and mask I ventured out, I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places. I enjoyed the walk on this one, tried getting there in My x-trail, but did not find the right track so I just walked in, was nice to find a cache that has not been found for over a year, thanks for showing Me this location.

Thanks Blamo! for the cache.

We choose the option of the 600 meter walk from the carpark and up the steep hil, in reality, it really is not that ssteep. The cache now is a sistema not an eclispe time. There were signs that motorbikes and mountain bikes have been busy in the area but we did not see any today. SL TFTC

Well... Today was my second attempt at this cache, the first, yesterday was meant to be a nice 35km round trip push bike ride that was cut short by some debris on the road which gave me a puncture only 8km in.. and of course.. I didn't have my puncture repair kit with me.. so a very patient wait on the side of the road for my wife to arrive and pick me up.

Cut to today, I decided it would be easier to load the geo-dog into the car and drive out instead. So with the car parked and the geo-dog unloaded it was time for a casual stroll to GZ. This was through my old dirt bike riding areas.. I was having flash backs to the day that ended my dirt bike riding and gave me a nice reminder on the back of my leg which never really healed properly.. all that happend over a decade ago just 100m from GZ.

But back to the cache.. oh yeah.. I remember this hill, it was much easier on a motor bike.. but let the climb begin, geo dog was quite happy to wander around and gather all the sniffs, finally at the top I gather my breath (so unfit) and start the search. My gps was not being kind and only giving me a ball park area so the search was on, being mindful of nope-ropes (snakes) and my dog I soon had the cache in hand and log signed.. now for the wander back down the hill.. thanks for the hide BLAMO Smile

After completing the TST series, a drive through the Flora and Fauna Reserve, and Callignee, seemed the natural way to return to Traralgon.
The walk up the hill, via the dirt bike tracks, certainly made our last find for the day quite memorable. Great array of wildflowers on our walk to this cache.

Thanks Blamo! (F=211 H=12) for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

No motorbikes or people around the area which is very nice and peaceful, little bit of a search before I spotted it. I knew there was a reason to walk up this hill TFTC

Went looking for this cache today but sadly no luck. I too found the likely hiding place like the last cacher but think it may be gone. Have sent a photo to the CO for verification. None the less, it was a nice adventure climbing up the big hill with a beautiful view at the top. Thanks for the fun Lincoln! Smile

**FTF** at 21:05 21/12/2016 with A.

The kids and I were cooking tea … and the emails came through …. 3 new caches, 1 in Traralgon, 1 in Callignee and 1 near Warragul. Well Warragul is too far away but let’s go for the other two.
Only A wanted to go, so off we set.
We snared the FTF for Traralgon's Trackable Tavern! .. an easy urban cache …. now for the challenge. We arrived at the closest place on the road to GZ. Reread the cache description …. hmmm .. it is going to be hard to even find GZ in the fading light. After following the bee-line and seeing why the cache warned to research … we back-tracked a little and took an educated punt. I had to drag A up the steep hill .. we arrived at GZ and with an excellent set of co-ords we soon had the prize in hand. In the fading light we slid back down the hill.
Hey Lincoln … it was lovely to meet you at your home. Thank you very much for placing a cache in such an amazing place.
