Have checked and it appears that the cache has been muggled. Will replace ASAP.

Will check - should not have to go through any brush or bush to access the cache.

In the George Town / Low Head area with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP for a couple of days. Spent a lot of time looking for this one, hint mentions having to crawl but other logs mentions no need to crawl, and that the cache was located away from GZ. Maybe it has suffered cache-creep, maybe the co-ords need updating.

13-Jul-18
after 20 minutes of looking still no cache in sight decided to give up the search as we were destroying the fauna around the area, the owner needs to check if the cache is still there and find a place where we geocachers are not destroying the countryside.

Stopped to try but way too many Muggles and their dogs walking here. Popular spot. Will have to wait till next time we’re here.

Day fourteen of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are staying at Low Head.
Time to get the deadly treadlies out, and short ride to the lighthouse before breakfast (and five caches)
A ride south collecting caches along the foreshore, then after lunch, some caches around George Town while the washing was on.

The tide was out so there was plenty of beach here today.
We had a bit of grovel around, but we didn't need to as it didn't help us find the cache.
BB located it a away from where we had GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14415. Day 14 of our 3 week holiday in Tasmania. Robmc and I are still staying at Low Head so with dry weather forecast for a while we headed out on the bicycles to pick up a few caches around the area before going in to George Town for another caching run this afternoon (whilst our clothes were happy at the laudrette for an hour or so).

Unfortunately I looked at the hint and therefore Rob and I crawled all over the place with much cursing and grumbling. Once we reached beachside I found it quite easily and no crawling had been required at all. Great sized container and all is good with the cache.

Thanks TrudiandtheFabFour

Nice little hiding spot from the wind. But not sure it would be a good place to stay for a while.

The tide seemed to be coming in and the width of the shore front was a little limited. Initially the GPS put me past the cache but I eventually backtracked to a more promising location and soon found the cache. A little arkward but no major problems. TFTC

Our last day of caching around the area and we had a few caches we wanted to get before heading back to Hobart! This just happened to be on the way so we thought we would pay a visit. Third one after lunch and a very pleasant walk along the beach. We cut in too early and we were looking for the den in the incorrect area! Lady membsec decided to go back to the beach and then saw what she was looking for, a den and a cache!! Woohoo.

First stop on our bicycle ride to the lighthouse. Approached the cache from the beach which was a challenge at high tide and exited via the road.

The Den eh ??
A smugglers den maybe ?? Razz
I couldn't wait !!

And as it was low tide,
I got to enjoy the all too rare treat of riding the pushbike along the beach to get here Big Grin
So much fun !! Big Grin

I found the stairs up the hill Smile
Not quite the right spot.
It was just a step to the right,
I pulled me knees in tight,
and let's find a geocache again Big Grin

Hi there TrudiandtheFabFour.

We found your cache **"The Den"** at 3:08:00 PM today. (This brings our total find count to 18667).

Yesterday nothing seemed to go according to plan - everything just seemed to go wrong. - Today was quite different and the sky gods smiled on us - so much so that we even made a second foray in the afternoon; revisiting caches we haven't been able to find since we have been here. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes. Our count for the afternoon was 4 finds (& 0 DNF's).

##Thanks for placing a large cache here. It made us feel really glad to find a large, kid friendly cache (with swaps) here. SmileSmile##

**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 8m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

We spent quite some time here at around 11:27:00 AM, but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us. Twisted

After a nice stroll along the beach we managed to misinterpret GPS pointers & poked about in the jungle for quite some time before we located the correct spot. No need to go off or even up the nearby track! TFTC.

Pulled up here at this beautiful little beach and strolled along the sand till we found the den. The water was so clear that it was tempting to jump in and have a swim but unfortunately there were too many caches on today's list to waste time on such pleasures!!!
Mr Beetle's claustrophobia kicked in and he decided that it would be best if I grabbed this one!!!
Love these cache containers although this one was a little moist in side. Perhaps one of the ink pads has gotten wet and left a bit of mess. It would pay to replace the zip lock fairly soon before the ink ruins or stains the log book.
Thanks for an enjoyable experience.

Day off University means it's time for a quick Geocache or two, maybe 3 Wink
An awesome spot and a quick find!
I think the swaps inside the cache may have been leaking so it might be worth checking it out! Smile
However, given the beautiful spot and great hiding place I'm giving this one a favourite point! Smile TFTC

As we drove from the Batman Bridge towards George Town it started to rain quite heavily but by the time we reached the town speed limit the rain had stopped and sun was shining from between the clouds. It was a pleasant short walk along the beach in the sun to get to GZ. It was obvious when we got there as to the location of "The Den". We expected to have to crawl a little way to reach the cache but it was almost at the entrance making for very easy retrieval of an exceptionally well stocked cache. Unfortunately water had penetrated the container and something must have leaked, because the water was a bright purple colour. The positive aspect was that the log was well bagged and was in good condition. We dried things out as much as we could during a short visit but more substantive maintenance is required. Thanks TrudiandtheFabFour for the hide and bringing us to a lovely location.
