Heading home from the Naki, and stopping for the odd cache, thought this might be a nice park and grab......many muggles latter we decided that given the number of muggles around this one has probably gone missing again.....
Will keep an eye on this one....

Hold off for a wee while until I can get up to replace. This area sure does eat cache containers, it's good for kids, but probably too tempting to remove BB
Found the tree we think it is ... but cannot find anything in or around the tree
Finally found it this visit! I saw it almost straight away. Didn't think I'd find it so left my pen in the car. I've signed the replacement log and am now sitting in the car waiting for some muggles to leave so I can put it back. This is a very high common muggle area so I'm not surprised.
Was in the right spot but couldn't see the cache. Might be due to my height though. Had a good look for 5 or 10 mins
An rest day after a nice climb up the mountain yesterday, mostly drive by's and short walks. Luckily out of view of the muggles here, TFTC!!
Checked on the weekend and no cache again. Replaced with a simple 35mm film can. Maybe the better way to do this due to the high muggle minors in the tree! Blenheim Bear
(# 5655). A flying visit to Taranaki primarily to get the TMGT geotour caches. Day 1 was to drive from Wellington to Awakino then down to New Plymouth. A quick find as I am not height challenged and could spot it. Everything in order. TFTC
Had our well trained monkey tangle this one great easy find while taking a break for lunch
Whoops, a bit of a spelling mistake in the cache title here (yet correct in the description!) And the park name is totally missing in the maps, which i have just fixed.
Merry Christmas!
It's the day after Boxing Day, day fifteen of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today we are working on the back roads and tunnels east of Taranaki.
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!
***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***
Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Day 15 - Friday 27 December. From north of NP to Awakino today. With lots of tunnels in the mix.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

In the last few weeks I travelled in New Zealand and visited many different landscapes, sights, geocaches and many highlights in this beautiful country. This geocache was on my way and so I tried to find it. Luckily I could find it rather quickly. Thanks!
We (Rattll & I) are on a mission to grab the geotour caches in this area and any caches that are close to these caches.
Rattll got her hand on this one pretty quick the bathroom we super clean as well. thanks for the placement

Out and about on a caching mission to collect some geotour caches for the Wanganui/Taranaki region, and of course some other caches we couldn't go past since we were in the area anyway!
Fortunately there were no young muggles around to trouble us today. The cache was soon spotted and coerced out of it's hiding spot.
Thanks for setting this up BB

New container and log, lets see how version 5 goes, guess its just a great place for kids
we are good climbers from Switzerland and nothing here it looks like gone ..after a hard search
Today was a gap in my caching calendar. That makes it a mandatory cache day, so I took the drive to Urenui after a couple of unsuccessful searches closer to home. Thanks, this is a nice spot that I haven't been to before.

On a roadtrip to New Plymouth for a few days. It always nice when geocaching gets you to pull off the road and see a new spot. The view from here was spectacular. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
Found with Julius family. Logging now as I have my own account. I found it before Mum got there. TFTC
Quickest find we've had so far. Zz had it before I'd reached GZ. 3 of 4 successful finds today. TFTC
Starting to make our way back to auckland after a long weekend in the taranki.A quick stop for the toilet led to a nice quick find of this cache and some lovely views.

Beautiful view from the GZ. Found it on a day when we weren’t having much luck in our GC adventures. TFTC!
Tripping around out this way today and picking up a few catches with the kids. Great views and a nice little picnic spot.
Had to look up but it wasn't out of reach. Pleased to have a find after the DNF at the library up the road. TFTC
Great cache, kids enjoyed finding! Didn’t have a pen as impromptu visit so didn’t sign. Took the kids’ cousins for their first geocaching and they loved it too. TFTC!!
A nice find today while stopping off for a bit of lunch today.
All is well with the cache, thanks very much.

A super quick find from stealthy GigiEV! Beautiful spot! Thanks for replacing. TFTC
Muggles were picnicking right at GZ so I become the stealth master! They didn’t notice a thing. Quickly signed and replaced. TFTC
On our 27th day in New Zealand we were once more staying in New Plymouth. There was heavy rain in the morning so we didn't really want to leave our cosy motel room. It was so nice that our host surprised us with some Christmas cookies in the morning! But when it dried up we left. Originally the aim was to go onto the Whitecliff Walk but because it rained so much last night we decided against it. But we still went a little bit up north to get some caches and later on were looking for some others again in New Plymouth itself.
After a DNF at the little library we went on to this cache. We first enjoyed the lovely view and then started the search. The box could not hide for long.
Merry Christmas to all the owners, TFTC and greetings from Switzerland

Ein neuer Tag ein neuer Ausflug zusammen mit "apaspa". Es gab Erfolge und Misserfolge.
Dieser war ruck zuck gefunden. TFTC

Nice park and view but unable to find cache. Ste even went up the tree to have a look!
After taking the wrong turning, this cache was then easier to do first rather than the other nearby cache. This meant I forgot to look at previous logs which along with a bit of a search turning up nothing confirms this is most likely missing.
Our journey south to the Mega in Wellington, a great day for travel caching.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches

What a beautiful view!!!! Tftc - another easy one but by far has the best view!!!
Straight to it with clue. It has turned out a beautiful day despite the rain predicted for the whole week. Water is a bit dirty from the storm as you can see, but still a picturesque spot. TFTC
This was the first stop on my way home and only cache for today.
After looking at the view we stopped in the shade and I checked the cache only to find I was almost on top of it and then it was quickly found in the first place I looked.
Thanks for bringing us to this nice area which is only a little off the main road.

We walked down to this one from the one at the free library only to see that the muggles that had walked down a little in front of us had set up on a nearby table and had started drinking a bottle of wine in the sunshine while their junior muggles climbed in just the wrong spot.
In the end we confessed and one of them knew about geocaching and they came and had a look too. All good here and thanks for the cache.

Found it. Poor mini cacher (5)!tripped over the playground and hurt her toe, luckily a first aid kit is part of my cache kit, and we were able to clean her up and bandage her! An ice cream after helped too. Cache a little damp, dried it out. TFTC and the view.
a quick check of the cache while in the area for the weekend, all good, a little damp but dried out easy... BB
Nice day for caching out getting the ones in urenui tftc
Log a little wet still able to sign

One of the kids needed a bathroom stop and this was the closest. Mother thought let's just see if there was a cache nearby and indeed there was. Bonus! TFFC
start of a trip and our first find heading north, stopped from the ground as we walked towards GZ , a good cache in a lovely spot TFTC
Heading North for a picnic and few hours of cache hunting. Quick park & grab. Tftc
North of New Plymouth today and found myself in Urenui at days end. Thought a nice quick cache would be just the ticket before heading back. This one did not disappoint
Log was a little damp but not a problem.
Thanks.

A quick find in the rain with TregearP and Kanga&Bear. The spot on coordinates and hint meant our hands were on the cache pretty much immediately which was a blessing as the condtions really were quite unpleasant.
