I'm a Oversize Pilot/Escort Driver, we stopped here on our way from Toowoomba to Coen, there is 16 4.5m wide trucks heading north.A good sneaky hide.Tftc
Found! A little resident gecko was growling at me while I signed the log.It must be so exciting to take the left turn while heading North. One day ... ... ...TFTC ...
This cache was easy to overlook but we found it.Thanks for the cache.Team Macos - Albert and Maria
Were on a bus tour to the top and stopped here for lunch. 250 metres walk and back for lunch. Nobody missed me. Tftcsl.
A quick find today as we head south from a fantastic time on the Cape. Thanks for the hide.
On my way to Wepia, yet the roads got to unsuitable for my low clearance 2WD campervan, so only made it to Cohen before turning back.On the way back, getting fuel, I actually realised I should collect the cache.Would have been a sneaky hide, if I had not seen similar cache hides before.
Found: 11.40All roads were open today, but on the way to Weipa caution is needed. Not relevant for us, as we are driving south. Cache was nicely hidden, but found quickly.
On our way to the Top, caching where we can.On our way to Cooktown, lots of quick ones on the way. This one is a variety that we have seen before which makes it a little easier and we get back on the road.TFTC Venimus, Invenimus, Signati
On our way to Townsville, thought we would pick this one up on the way. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to find. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Heading home from Big Red Bash 24, via Lions den. Speeds here for pub grub lunch. Maybe too short .. will try on way back. Tfth
Travelling around the local districts with geo friends for a few days and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way whilst visiting some places for the very first time.Nice quick find by our little group at GZ.Thank you, bret876, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment.
Day three and it is another early start with a plan to climb Mt. Cook and then a drive up to Hope Vale before heading back to Cairns for the last night. The walk up the mountain was an exhausting one but I am very glad that it was completed and the log was signed. The wind up here today was just gail force. From there the four of us jumped into the Bluewattle geomobile and drove around HopeVale collecting a few more caches. I was again surprised by the amount debris still around the area and in endeavour falls. Once completed we headed back to Cooktown for that last cache. all completed we then started back to Cairns and again collecting some old caches and a couple of multi's. All logs were signed and all caches were replaced as found thanks for the placements. On our way home now, this was an easy find, thanks

This was on our way home from our trip to the tip, rather than the way up. But a lovely easy grab. TFTC
All roads were intended open, which was exactly what we wanted to see as we headed up north. Never-ending the cautions, they count as open in our book. After a play in the nearby park we loaded up and headed on the road. Thanks for the cache!
After a couple of days at Cooktown we are now heading south again. Had to break out of our usual in a sign thinking to find this one. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on our way north for warmer weather. From Victoria to Cooktown, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
Coming back from Cooktown we found this little fella. We replaced it as found i. e. in a spot easy to get to even for dwarf cachers.
Heading to Cooktown today with some birding on the way. Targeted a few caches along the way and will once again end up with my most northerly cache today. Will be going left here later this week but going straight ahead today. A quick park and grab here.TFTC bret876
Found while on our adventures across 3 states, WA, NT & Qld for several months. Thanks for bringing us here We found this one after doing the sculpture tour just back the road on our way to Cooktown.
Northern escape Day 2On a longweekend trip from Mackay to Cooktown and back.Crazy, I know.Pulled up and a quick find was made.Looked the road to the cape and saw an RBT and several officers watching me.Wondered if they thought I was avoiding them. Acted calm and drove off toward Cooktown...straight in to another RBT but the let me through as they seemed preoccupied with another car.SL TFTC
Heading to Cape York with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & Team Crackers, after the QOGM in Longreach. This is one of the many caches that we found whilst in the area. The log was signed as PDGC, to save space, (Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers). Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
After having a fantastic time at the last ever QOGM event in Longreach we are now heading north with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.It has been a long time since we last visited this town and it has certainly has changed since the development of the road. Our first stop before having a refreshing drink was to check on the road conditions via this cache. One was open, two with caution so all good for us to head north and to make it evcen better the cache was located quickly and our acronym has been added to the log and all returned as it was.To save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drove Geoturtle Crackers)Many thanks for the cache.
Geoturtle37, The Drover, Team Crackers and myself are finally heading to the Cape. First time we attempted this, we didn't get far as it was way way too wet.So far, the weather is being good to us so we have everything crossed. For GT37 and I, this is on our "must do" bucket list.We were pleased that the roads we needed were most definitely open. Weather is still being kind. The cache was found and our acronym was added to the log, cache replaced and we were on our way.Thank you to each and every CO that has shown us places that we may have otherwise not known of/visited. Please excuse the short logs as we are having way too much fun exploring and taking oh soooo many photos. Every cache is very much appreciated.
Caching in the area we pick up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Enjoyed exploring the area, cache and contents were in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

Unbelievable adventures and fun times – that's what this trip is all about. Australia's diversity has blown us away, and Cape York, with its crazy rough roads, has a special place in our hearts. Our second trip to the Cape, part of our first lap around Australia, and we've almost hit 92,000km in 2.5 years. Prepared for the worst, but ended up with smooth roads up and crazy rough roads down two weeks later. Nature's beauty surrounds us – lush rainforests, sandy beaches, and hidden gems everywhere – Cape York is an absolute stunner! Memories to cherish forever!
Big shoutout to the cache owners who made geocaching a fantastic part of our journey. Sorry for the copy and paste logs, but with so much ground to cover, it's the best way to stay on top of them all!

Stopping in Lakeland for a while to spend time with family. This was a super fast find. TFTF
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 41. Daintree Village to Cooktown via Mount Molloy Day 2. After a refreshing night on the range, I was up with the trucks and soon ready to head onwards towards Cooktown. There was only one stop along the way, at Lakeland for two caches and a morning tea snack. I arrived in Cooktown just after lunch time and set up before heading out to tackle two caches I failed on my last visit which I now had intel for. Then a quick drive around town to see what has changed in six years. Quite a bit really. The new park at the river mouth is amazing.
This was missing when I last passed in2016 and it was replaced less than a month later. I have been watching finds on it ever since and today I was very happy to be able to make my find on this cache and avenge that long DNF !
Thanks for the cache bret876

Found this morning while on the return trip from Cooktown.
These types of caches are great for structures like this. The first time for someone is always a head scratcher but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Fantastic park just down the road.

Cache was easy to find. Loved the new info centre up the road. It’s been 2 years since I was up this far. Can’t escape the crocs apparently.
On my way to Cooktown, I stopped off here and made a quick find. Log signed, cache returned to its spot and I was on my way again. TFTC
Picked the cache up on our way home after an awesome holiday to the top.
Looks like someone has moved it slightly to make it more accessible to those who are height challenged.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo through central Queensland, I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend near Cairns for the rest of the trip northwards, finding caches along the way. We spent three weeks on the Cape, visiting many out of the way locations and enjoying the scenery. Thanks for the cache bret976!
After taking three weeks to meander my way up from Adelaide to Cairns on my own, I met up with FeatherWaite and another friend to head further north to Cape York.
We spent another three weeks travelling up to the tip and back to Cairns, seeing the sights and finding caches along the way.
We found this cache while heading back to Cairns.
Thanks bret876 for the cache.
