One of the largest small rural town cemeteries Ive seen. Cant imagine it will ever be filled up. Sandy soil obviously presents additional challenges (see pic) TFTC
Called into see Flora and Ernie and found your cache An interesting cemetery with various sections Tftc
After a week in Mildura with bogonghazy and Littleboss 2 caching and golfing, it was time to head for home and grab a few smilies on the way TFTC
Heading back to Bendigo from Mildura via Swan Hill today with LittleBoss2 and Geo the puppy. Thanks Sparra, beehive at gz, but they weren't bothered by us
Quick find with Bogonghazy and Geo dog. Spent a week up in the Mildura area caching and golfing. Last lot of caches on our trip home. Thanks for placing the geocache
Found with Mogni, Quick find. Needed a find in this LGA, new NSW LGA for me. Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.
Day 1 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today was a big day, Victor Harbor to Wagga Wagga. Only a few caches were found, but they helped with new LGA's, or just making our maps the same. Any caches that needed some attention got it.Thanks to Sparra0907 from mogni
Something special or unusual goes here:Quick detour to stretch the legs and make a find. The Generic Bit:The Capital Geobash Adventure 2024. Day 11: The Dash Home Sadly Anymules and myself had to leave Canberra and make the dash back to Adelaide so he could be back at work tomorrow. Not much caching done other than to break the drive and have some food. ***Thanks Sparra0907 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
With Featherwaite we're on our way to Canberra for the GeoBash Mega over Easter. On our way we set our route to take in LGAs that I have no finds in. Day 1 we made it to Narrandera and Day 2 we arrived in Canberra.Unless stated this cache is in good condition.Apologies for the generic log.TFTC
I see dead people. I also see a cache!! Respect!! Noticed Leo and co instead. See pic. Found on the Mega Capital Geobash coastal loop via Adelaide - Barrington - coast to Mexico City loop. A lot of caches and white line fever was sweated out. Thanks Sparra0907 and clear skies from TeamAstro. Day 2 of my travels heading across from S. A. Mega 2024 towards Barrington Tops before making my way to the 2024 Canberra Geobash. I do love a cemetery! Thanks Sparra0907 for placing this here, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 15/02/2024, find number 1759.I was staying in Tooleybuc today and, needing a walk, I decided to venture out to this cache. After a longish (but enjoyable) walk I arrived at the cemetery. I was unsure about how accessible the cache would be after the previous DNF but I entered via the main gate and was pleasantly surprised to find a path pretty much all the way to GZ. GZ had some prickly grass around but nothing too concerning (to me anyway), what was more concerning were the bees guarding the cache! I initially thought this one was going to be a DNF as I hadn't read the previous logs and the bees were occupying the only likely hiding spot. However I scratched around the base of the tree and uncovered a well hidden cache. Unfortunately the container is broken and needs replacing. Perhaps the cache should also be moved to one of the other nearby trees, away from the bees. After signing the log and returning the cache I headed back to town for a feed at the pub. Thanks for the adventure.
Very dry and prickly grass to wade through. Too dangerous to lift stuff due to wriggly sticks. Had a pretty good look anyway. Cool cemetery.
Was in plain sight, we made it a bit less visible but put it back exactly where we found it
Sydney to Alice Spring Road Trip
Day Four: Griffith to Gumeracha.
Pretty dire weather!
A strange cemetery I thought, a mix of bush and graves. All very quiet and peaceful here and I bet the vegetation is loving this rain.
Thanks Sparra0907.

Quite an extraordinary cemetery so spread out and GZ was even more surprising. Actually rode the MTB out here last week when it was significantly cooler so glad it was then. Back in Tooleybuc today staying with a buddy whose parents are buried there. Hats off to the old timers! TFTC
A quick stop on way home from the east.

Thanks
Sorry for the late log as realised on a later trip over that I'd already been here.

Suscoe was out today enjoying another gloriously sunny Swan Hill day.
It had been near to zero overnight but today made up for that with beautiful sunshine, no wind to worry us and blue skies from one horizon to the other.
We headed to the north of Swan Hill today taking in Nyah and Tooleybuc and many places in between.
Thanks to Sparra0907 for this hide, the nearby hive of bees were very happy travelling to and from the north east while we were visiting this spot.
We crept quietly in via the south and they went about their business.
An unusual cemetery.

Yes, we are sure we knew where it was, but, there seemed to be a nice bees nest, so left it. Cheers
Stopped by and visited today and made a nice easy find.

Found during my return journey back to Adelaide after a visit to Canberra for the fortnight. Thanks for the cache Sparra0907!
TFTC. We are camped at Tooleybuc Sports Club for a few nights. Today after a night of Thunder and rain, we used geocaching to do a bit of exploring around the area. Great day 25 finds and 2 DNFs. The overcast weather and the GPS on the iPhone made life a bit difficult as it took a lot longer to settle than usual. We got there in the end.
A lovely, rambling cemetery here
And after a longish walk around,
I found this cache out back,
between the lone burial,
and the stainless steel thingy,
that I'd rather not know what it's used for,
but do [:o]
TFTC and an uneasy chill up me spine

A strange little cemetery here... Plenty of room. The lavish tombstone with the visitors chairs near GZ was interesting - never seen something like that before. Thanks for the cache S97.

While exploring new territory today, we learnt more about the Mallee and its history, called at some interesting townships and of course looked for a number of the many caches hidden in the area.
Sweet - not sure the container is ligit' but our our name is in the log.
Thanks 'Sparra0907' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

We have commenced Part 2 of our holiday. Part 1 was Easter at Morisset and we came home to sort out some family business. Now we are heading back to Bendigo after some time in South Australia.
After a comfortable night camping in the Piangal rest area we headed off caching around Tooleybuc and towards Nyah.

7166 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 0955.After an overnight stop at the Balranald caravan park it was time to find another cache. Once we had determined the location of the hide we had a stark reminder of just what can be found out here. The bees are still in situ and very active this morning. All good. SL Tnx Sparra0907
Found cache at GZ, BUT BE CAREFUL, a swarm of honey bees situated themselves in close proximity.
15,206. Found during a long weekend run down through the Lockhart, Jerilderie, Deniliquin, Moulamien, Tooleybuc and Nyah regions with Albida33.
After camping down by the river last night, we packed up and continued along our planned caching trail. This was the next find for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for putting out their caches !

An interesting tour of an old cemetery. I liked the way so much natural vegetation is here instead of the more usual mown grass and concrete paths. Tftc Sparra0907

Our annual Adelaide Christmas holiday is over and we were travelling back to Newcastle. We only found two caches along the route as we wanted to get home asap and this was the second.
What an interesting area. We drove right in along the track to GZ. We were surprised that there were so many graves amongs the scrub.

Adelaide Christmas trip 2016. On day two it was the drive from Balranald to Adelaide. Not too hot out on the plains and Mallee as it sometimes is. There are some very remote cemeteries to visit in this country. This is an interesting place.
Thanks.

We parked the motorhome at the front gates and wandered our way this way and that way reading the headstones. Very interesting, we do love exploring the old cemeteries. A very interesting grave close to GZ that appears to be visited quite often. SL TFTC
Bee's in trees make me weak at the knees , thankfully these bees weren't Africanized [:o] The cool looking cache was safely extracted and the log signed at 15:52 on Sat 15 Oct 2016. This is my first NSW cache aswell [^] TFTC Sparra0907
Number 10 for today a nice easy find.

It was a strange feeling wandering around a cemetery well after dark using only our torches. There were certainly numerous rabbits running around. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a wll hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Sparra0907 for the cache.
Love this one. Got to say hello to my Papa while we were here. Miss him lots. Never knew there were graves down the back...some very elaborate! Happy to find a more substantial cache here, rather than just an eclipse tin. And it wasn't ridiculously hard either. Thanks heaps for this cache Sparra!

**A nice sunny morning and a new cache to find
Fired up Big Mumma and hit the frog'n'toad
Arrived at the gates and parked the vehicle
Certainly is a quiet and humbling spot, not a Soul in site [xx(]
After a short stroll we arrived at GZ and shortly after had the casket in our mitts
Open it's lid and all was revealed including an untouched log-book. YAY!!! Time 10:12
