Container and log are still here, I'm not replacing a whole new container just for the lid, sorry folks
After setting up camp at the Dayboro showgrounds for a few days we are having a wonderful time meandering around this beautiful area. A wonderful variety of hides and we love the creative ones. The scenery to the Glasshouse mountains and coast just stunning. We much appreciate the effort put in to arranging the puzzle caches. Thankyou Orange Crew for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
If at first you don't succeed...read the instructions! So I got the when my GPS said the coords were and did a bit of rock climbing, thinking I was earning the couple of desirable attributes I had noted on this cache. But didn't find it, and then thought about GPS bounce with the trees so I decided to look at the cache page. Oh there are some easy to follow instructions in case of GPS bounce, and they led be right to the cache. The lid is missing, but the log was dry. TFTC
An interesting walk and find. The screw bottom of the cache is missing but the log is in tact. We replaced it as best possible to keep it waterproof.
Great cache. Lots of sticks still in my hair from getting to it, and loved doing the little climb! TFTC
Says we’re in 1mtr of it, kids a bit terrified at this stage haha!. Found poor Horrie but no container. We’re covered in leaves and twigs. Good adventure even if we couldn’t put our hands on it.
Out this way visiting my parents. Needing a traditional find today (I think the CO knows why) I stopped in here. Had a lovely walk along the river and spied Horrie from afar. Poor Horrie I think I’ve had a few of those nights.
Found the cache quite easily but then the trouble started. Horrie was not going to let me access that log. I pulled and poked with a stick but it was jammed in tight. So like a vet helping with a difficult birth I went arm into Horrie and finally got that cache out.
Log finally signed and hopefully replaced so can be easily extracted by the next finder.
TFTC.

Came back this morning to sign log and leave a very tiny little something. Really is a camouflaged little cache.
We couldn't move our Landcruiser at the showgrounds today as there was a huge Tryathalon on. After spending the morning watching the kids compete we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and take our bikes out for a ride. We really enjoyed the afternoon exploring a wonderful cycle trail that followed the river. We found every cache we visited, some quickly, some not so quickly.
thanks for a fantastic afternoon, we are starting to wish we lived in this area instead of WA

Well now I'll admit I was pushing it just a little bit here, with the "I need a cache today" line, as I had managed to sneak in a second cache, and now found myself dragging 1GiantPanda to our third. However once again, when we started our walk he seemed happy enough, and we even stopped along the way at a little bridge and noticed a little green tree snake sunning itself on the concrete down near the water.
While 1GiantPanda played on the swings, I headed in to meet Horrie, and found him just casually laying around, relaxing on this lovely Saturday afternoon. A quick exchange and it was time to leave him in peace and head off, ending today's caching journey.
Thanks for the cache Orange Crew.

Figured if I made it out of bed and could pour coffee into a travel mug this event was a cert. Caching on Sunday morning post-event was a relaxed stroll in muddy socks with geo-buddy Rusty
This time round i was attracted to the right spot and soon found a logical hide location. Looked in , looked around and looked elsewhere.
In between looking I messaged the CO who soon arrived on the scene to confirm the cache had gone AWOL. Cache signed off we went.
Outstanding dedication to duty as a CO by OC in attending to this issue while we were there.

After hearing a call for help, I ducked down to check on this cache and confirmed with Ruzzelz and Ms Maddy that it required replacement. Now back in place with an upgraded tether.

I think I found Horrie, but I am not sure because I did not find a cache. Then again my ability for finding micros is very poor.
Another horrible fail on my part. GZ was at a Rock Wall and nothing interesting here. Reading the cache description confirms this.

Sunday. We had a bit of time this morning so we decided to have an "Orange Crew" - themed trip.
We found the nearest place to park and made our way down the paths until we got to GZ. We then made our way up and started to look. Horrie's friend is doing a very good job indeed. His friend says "He ain't heavy, he's my brother". He has also said "Lean on me" and his nearby friends have said "Carry that weight".
After a bit of a look around Mr SP fould the container, signed and returned.
OC, CO, please note: whilst the tether is still attached to the container, it is no longer attached to the tree.
This was the 4th of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Orange Crew***, for showing us this place.

Out with a buddy today, and ticked this one off Great to be back in the area again! Thanks OC!
Out for a nice Sunday stroll between Petrie and Murrumba Downs, collecting some smilies along the way....

**# 17002** Found on the start of our 2017 winter escape trip.
A cloudy Autumn day and just a couple to do in the dark.
Not many muggles around either and a not too difficult hide to locate.
Thanks for the cache Orange Crew,

Labour Day. I was keen for a sleep in and after a rather phat time at the pub last night a caching day wasn't on the agenda. I was even thinking about going to the office to get some work done. The geowife wakes me up and asks "Are we going caching or not?". WTF? I just assumed I was dreaming and tried to rug myself up in the doona. She politely asked again (not so politely) and thats when I discovered that I was actually awake and my dreams were coming true. My eldest daughter was up for the challenge also if we could slap the L-Plates on. I then asked the geodaughter if she could believe what was happening but she couldn't even be bothered getting out of bed. I told her this was a once-in-a-lifetime event but clearly she thought it wasn't possible and that she was in a dream.
Today I decided to hang in the back seat so I could navigate and research the caches on the way. I didn't have a caching plan and was caught with my pants down (again). Let's grab some coffee while I find us a destination. No need for that, the wife had already picked out where we are having lunch.
A nice uneventful learner drive to GZ, where I decided this drinkin-themed cache should be the first on the list. My wife is still mending from a broken ankle but made the trek down to the cache before deciding the little hill was too adventurous. That's OK, my daughter starts racing in. Just as she gets to the treeline she sees a spider web and stops. "You go in first dad to clear the path". After finding Horrie I told my daughter to start looking over there whilst I search the more nasty regions. She lets out a "hoot" to say she has found it. Time for a nap with Horrie before continuing on in my dream-like state. tftc

Found Horrie the drunk tree! Also found a cute little mushroom forest and the cache A lovely, shady location except for the winged, blood sucking nasties. I left my mark quickly and escaped with Jelly hot on my heels.

This is my favourite thing about Geocaching. I never knew this park existed. TFTF
Next, we made our way to this one. The light was beginning to fade, so I needed to use the torch on my phone. Stortigirls waited outside (whilst searching for a torch app for her phone). I made my way in and soon spotted the cache. I added my name to the log, returned the cache to its hiding spot, then we headed off to do the nearby night whereIgo. TFTC
I was out on an after work run with Selva Girls in the area today. We were meeting up with Nurseyjulie to do the nearby night cache and thought we'd try and clear the area while we waited for 7pm to tick around. Selva Girls made a quick find here and all returned as found. Tftc Orange Crew!
Last cache for the afternoon, we only came out to grab a couple to have a bit of a different walk rather then on our normal walks around home. Geo hubby made the grab to which he goes "ow", as I'm commenting to him that he and our geo-daughter (accident prone) are so alike, I go to get cache to sign and go 'ow'! Seems we're all alike! Nothing dramatic was a more a funny family thing, bent back sharp piece all sorted:)
Thought we saw Horrie then realised he was vertical and not a tree:)

I made my way out after brekkie on a breathtakingly beautiful breezy Brissie day to clean up some trads that have popped up since I haven't been around in a while. Found nicely hidden cache without much trouble. Thanks for the hide OC.
After leaving some footprints, tussled with the morning muggle jogging club to meet up with Horrie. Taking the off ramp, walked around the flats then spied where I needed to be. Backtracking a little, put away the GPS and up the slope I go to visit Horrie's lair. Ducking under and brushing away a few spider webs, found Horrie looking back at me all expectantly. Not sure why I haven't been this way before today! Enjoyed the walk anyway. Thanks for the cache Orange Crew.
Checked on my ride past, container has gone missing. Will replace soon, thanks for pointing it out LozBucket
Not really sure what happened here - found the 'thing', and a few hide holes, one blocked with another 'thing' but there was no 'thing' behind the 'thing' in the 'thing'!
Hope that's clear

I was invited to come along for a late night walk to grab a few caches with P`Prime and Fangsoki. We had just finished the wherigo for Prime's 4900 and were about to head to the car when we decided to grab this one. We headed over to GZ and had no issues finding this one. Thanks for the cache Orange Crew.
Net88, Pprime, and I headed to this cache next. I had been here for a cache a few moons ago - but it soon became apparent it wasn't the same hide.
We made our way to GZ ... ducking and weaving and soon came up with the prize. Always good to find an Orange Crew cache - they are always good containers. We signed the log and re-hid it as found. I think here I might have picked up a nymph tick (the perils of the Australian bush).
Another great cache in a great little area. TFTC Orange Crew

Been here before. Almost. I nearly went to the old spot but the compass pointed me elsewhere, and with help of the hint I made a quick find.
Thanks for placing this cache, Orange Crew. Found in good condition.

It was getting close to school pick-up time, so barbb and I could only fit in a couple more caches. Horrie was our last OC cache for the day and we had fun finding GZ. I'm sure I had been in this area before to pick up a different cache, I know a few have been archived around here, but I'm so glad Horrie has taken residence, he was a nice find. TFTC Orange Crew
Found it but we couldn't fit the Wally magnifying glass so left a fiddy and took a keyring. Great spot. TFTC.
2093 - I headed to Petrie this evening to pick up my cache of the day to keep my streak going for another day. I went for a pleasant walk along the path on a quiet and reasonably still night. When I got to ground zero it took me a minute or two to find the right way to get to the correct elevation, and then to the spot where the cache was hiding. I signed the log which was just a little damp at 6:46pm, before I returned it and then headed for home. Thanks for another great cache showing off this great view of the River, Orange Crew.
Wow - it must have been a big night for Horrie - but he sure has got some supportive friends. We made a quick find on this one once we had check Horrie out. There is no TB in the cache despite one being listed. TNLNSL TFTC
Found at 0935. Found OK once the place cleared of muggles nice cache though. TFTC.
Out for a bike ride with the geokids, and checking out some recently added caches in the area! Two groups of muggles were in the area, so kids enjoyed the swings while we waited for them to move on. Afterwards, was a quick find by the kids. Great little park, just a nice spot to look out over the river!
Thanks for the new cache, Orange Crew!

This was the next on the list and soon we parked and headed to GZ.
Arrived and looked in one spot and then another and there it was.
Signed the log and returned to its hide. No TB as listed.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Orange Crew All good with this cache

Found this one after a few mins of looking with IolantheK and nurseyjulie. The hint was helpful and we had a few ideas of where it could be and not long after we had it in our hands.TFTC
Out for a few hours today with RhoBoCacher We also had Nurseyjulie with us for this cache.
There's a surprising area to park in and we had a short wander to GZ. Some definite slippery UP-ness happened, but we were soon at GZ, and after looking in a couple of spots, the cache was in hand. TFTC, OC.

Another find for the day with IolantheK and RhoBoCacher. A short walk from the cars and up we went. A check of a couple of spots as per the clue and we had it in our hands. TFTC Orange Crew
Enjoyed finding this new Geocache while on one of our favourite walks. Thank you Orange Crew.
Taking a slow walk in the sunshine and decided to check this new cache. There was one here a few years ago but it has been archived. Took a little bit of searching as the gps bounces but managed to find Horrie. My son and I both left a TB for the next cachers. Tftc

i didn't expect to be first, but stopped here on a way back from other published cache. suprisingly logbook was empty. i would say it's nice area here, but cannot confirm as it was dark already. pitty, that's the cost. by mistake i put yesterdays date into the logbook, but i hope it's clear it was today thanks for nice cache and good reason for evening walk.

2nd to Find at 8.05pm. This is a very scary place to visit after dark. There are so many spooky noises. Thank goodness brave 13 yo geoson was with me. Found Horrie and his treasure. TFTC Orange Crew.
