Once again, due to numerous DNF's, I have bedn requested to check on this cache. I will endeavour to get to it as soon as I can.
Fourth find of the afternoon. It's so lovely down here when it's not windy! TFTC
After a drive up from Perth enjoying the ride it was time for some night caches adventures. Geo kids and muggle wife are loving the start to the holidays. Day 2 and geo girl gets on the finds board yay beautiful spot and clever hide. Tftc
Day nineteen of our 'loop tour'. We recorded a dnf here two years ago but quick find today. Thanks Miss-Placed
Found it but had to wait for muggles it is damp but all good with the cache on a road trip from Tassie TFTC
This is our third visit to Geraldton from our home in Victoria, and it is just as lovely as we remembered. The weather has picked up a bit, so we decided that today would be a good opportunity for a stroll around the foreshore and the nearby areas. We love the fact that over the past 8 years there has been heaps of development in these areas, and there is so much to see and do. It must get very busy in the warmer months, there is a lot to attract a wide range of ages and different phases of life. Well done Geraldton!
This took a while as there were a number of different options we needed to eliminate before we found the correct hiding spot.

TFTC
This one was quickly spotted as we have found quite a few the same over the years.
Think there might be some geocaching damage here which often happens with this hide.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Found after a short search, very sneaky indeed! Loving all the caches around here , we will return tomorrow for some more hopefully! TFTC
Struggled a lot but eventually realised it was right in front of us
Keep trying!
Keep trying!
on our way up north we did a short break in Geraldton, had a little snack, and looked for a cache – and found it! TFTC!
Lovely evening for a drive, even better evening for cache finding.
Great little hide.

Great little hide.

Out with Wollaston on a magnificent day. Nearly gave up. Replaced the log as there was near on nothing to sign. TFTC
Find #988, almost gave up and then Bingo. Found with Team Outnabout while on holidays. Looking like we will hit the 1000 mark today. TFTC.
Continuing our cache hunt north of Jurien on our way to the Murchison for Easter, happy to say we walked away with a smiley today, both on our faces and our profile, the log needs to be replaced as it’s extremely deteriorated TFTC
Waiting for the missus to finish at the gym got my 9 month old crawling around on the grass. Great hide and awesome cache.
Killing some time in Geraldton today for appointments tomorrow. We were here two weeks ago but some sort of festival was on with heaps of muggles so this was a better time! Look around and around but nothing until geowife said with a big smile: "here it is ". Bugger, in a spot I already looked but anyway, we ticked it off! TFTC Miss-Placed.
We were just about to leave as it was a little tricky in between all the fitness fanatics going for early walks but found it. Great hide!!
Found just now after searching quite a while! Found it, bit wet, & previous log in logbook is 20/9/17! Thanks for the hunt! Clever hide!!
Having a big run of dnfs in Gero. Haven't logged them as i hardly had a chance to look. Way too many people around at the moment. Gonna give up and head out of town.
Didn't have long to look, but couldn't find this one. Is it definitely still there?
Due to the recent find I have disregarded the 'Needs Maintenance' logged by a previous DNF cacher, for obvious reasons
took a shot at getting the smiley for this cache while doing a cache run with new friends Cravo10 & Barnzy12 after the GC791W8 - International Geocaching Day 2017 Event in Geraldton W.A.
Found on our first full day of our caching trip to Geraldton for the annual International Geocaching Day Event.
We arrived late Friday night, getting in just before midnight due to one of us finishing work about an hour later than planned! Stopping for a couple of simple Park and grabs along the way to keep our caching streak alive and enjoyed a quick feed for a late dinner in Jurien Bay.
We started the day with a bit of a later start after a small caching foray to find the new letterbox hybrid cache in town so we got up around 830 to start the caching day.
We curled up locally and headed around the suburb of Tarcoola, and had a large number of DNFs there, sitting around 40% find rate through the area, which was quite frustrating. We cached around the area attempting every cache on the Tarcoola Map before heading out to Bluff Point for the IGD event at the wintersun hotel, which we knew quite well having stayed there on our last trip whilst heading to the northwest.
We had a great pub lunch and enjoyed a cold beer whilst chatting to local cachers squash2 and reticbob regaling stories of some of the infamous caches around town that they either own of have had the pleasure of finding. Reticbob told us of his and others caches on the Moresby Range, which had only just been re enabled after the property changed hands.
We had to make tracks after the event to get the find rate up so teamed up with Team Ruphace who are from Melbourne but are staying in dongara and cached out bluff point with a significant amount of success before thinking we weren't that far from the Moresby Range so made the call to the land manager (this is a must - please respect this great spot so others can continue to enjoy it) and got the all OK to head to the northern side of the property, with the south off limits.
This would be my favourite part of our caching day, the Moresby Range is simply amazing, a MUST do if you come to Geraldton. Views forever. I won't say too much, you can get here and see it for yourself. Just please ring ahead (read the cache listings)
After the Moresby Range caches we headed back towards the centre of Geraldton where we kept finding cache after cache except for a few which need some serious CO attention. We managed to tick off a few nemesis caches including bluff point lighthouse, out and about erosion, tanked at the RSL and a few others, which was most satisfying.
We bid farewell to our companions after finding twenty odd caches together, which was most enjoyable and made finding it a bit easier with four sets of eyes at most caches.
We had a nice noodle dinner and got prepared to find a few more caches by torchlight around central Geraldton. The highlight of the evenings caching was another trip to the HMAS sydney memorial which is my favourite spot to visit in Geraldton. We followed the map around collecting the answers some of which I knew off the top of my head given my love of history and "the Sydney" we collected the puzzle cache for Cravo10 who somehow hadn't found it.
Overall a big day attempting around 60 caches with 40 finds, in around 12hours. Looking forward to finding some caches along the Chapman river tomorow on our final day of our short Geraldton getaway. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.
Good to cleanup a previous DNF here

Out on IGD in Geraldton for the 3rd year in a row with Barnzy12.
We started the morning a little late compared to a usual geocaching weekend however we did only get into town at midnight so a 8.30 start was early enough!!
The morning started with a extremely poor Find rate at around 40% found. We then headed to the Event and enjoyed a pub lunch and a pint of beer and that would see the luck turn there after.
After the event we headed off with Team Ruphace Matthew and Cathy finding around 20 caches with them.
The highlight was following the lead of reticbob and getting the caches in Moresby Range, going through private land that offered sensational views.
Overall a great day out in Gero, looking forward to seeing some of you again soon at WA Goes Big in Rockingham on the 9th September

Checked on this cache today and very happy to report that this cache is still in place and waiting to be found. Happt hunting.
Clever cache! Log is very badly water damaged and the pencil lead has broken right off. Luckily we always bring a pen with us TFTC
Renewed the log, pencil and plastic bag for this cache. It has also been relocated back to its original position.
The geokids enjoyed this very clever cache. Nice hide but pencil broken & forgot our pen so unable to log our find in the notebook. TFTC
We were in port off the Radiance today. Spent a lot of time here and lost my glasses and found no cache.
GeoJ spotted this one in a few minutes although we had to be a bit more stealthy in the retrieval and return of the cache. TFTC!
Tom a bit of lifting of the ground cover skirts to find it.... But we did..
Great hide little tricky with so many muggles around. Off to see where the music is coming from. Happy Sundays.
Enjoying a lovely day out caching in Geraldton ... Found after a short search T4TC:)
Our last day of caching in Geraldton with iluvtrekking and after a morning visit to Ellendale Pool Mrs iluvtrekking and I dropped off our geo-hubbys along the foreshore cycle trail so that they could grab some finds while enjoying the scenery. No luck for us here. Thanks Miss-Placed
We had a great day an in and around Gerald ton. The boys rode their bikes along the IGD 2016 cycle way while we girls looked for caches a little further afield.
Thanks Miss-Placed

Staying in Geraldton for a few days and this cache was across the road from where we are staying. The cache was quickly found here TFTC
Ahhhhh..... this is one of Ians' favorite hangouts, I'll bet you can guess why. I did offer to leave him sitting playing and holding the boys while I ventured on to other caches but he reluctantly decided to drag along with me.
I found this cache after a short hunt and in between passers-by, the wall came in handy to sit on while writing the log.
Thanks Miss-Placed.

New caches published whilst attending IGD event. Raced off for FTF but just missed out. TFTC Miss-Placed this is find 1249 for us
We are up here from mandurah for IGD 2016, after starting work at 7am yesterday, finishing at 2.30pm and then a 7 hour drive because of geo-pup and her frequent stops we finally have GC in hand.
First FTF for the day. Thanks
