It's a nice sunny day outside (Yay! Summer is coming!) so I decided a walk around Wellington was in order, to collect some of those many solved-but-still-unfound puzzle caches. I got a ride (well, a couple, actually) to Courtenay place and then walked up to find the St Gerard monastery cache. then along the tops to the city side of the Haitaitai bus tunnel. Got a id through the tunnel then walked to here, picking up caches along the way. Came past the slipway to here. Nice easy find (I am well used to this hide style) And headed back to Haitaitai shops to catch a bus. Have have you had a look at the foot path across the road from the slips? Saw this as I was walking back. Some serious incompetence there! (see photo)--- ### LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ### On May 3rd, 2025, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event. Sneaky! What a great hide! Fairly quiet out today in the wind and rain. Warming up with a coffee now!
Decided to check up on things here after the recent DNFs. Pleased to report everything is as it should be. The cache is still where it should be waiting to be found.
Looked for ages but alot of muggles around and couldn't find it even with the hints
We came on the 10th of april to find the caxj and we stayed there half an hour looking for it and we looked at the comments and all of them were about it being so obvious and stuff and thats when we decided to give up. Then, we came back to the cache spot on the 19th of may (2024) and in less than three minutes found it so easily! Okay here is my gratitude for the smart people that had the awesome idea of this! I decided to put a clue for the people like us that had difficulties finding the cache like us. Feel, don't look.TFTC!
Found while out on a bike ride on this very pleasant sunny Sunday afternoon. A neat urban hide, and good to collect another boxhill cache, thanks!
Muggle was in the kitchen cooking dinner overlooking the cache so I had to waddle a little to not be seen, luckily no one was approaching from the sidewalk in either direction. Love this hide and a fave point from me. Tftc
I took the opportunity to find some central city caches when the weather turned cold and windy with a southerly so less people were around. Thanks for this super clever cache!!
I guessed what I was looking for and it still took me a while! Hint is correct, TFTC!
So cunning! Took me two attempts, and a second pair of eyes to finally find it. Very satisfying cache. Thanks Boxhill!
We found this last weekend while on a walk around the bays but didn't have a pen. Back this morning for a park and grab after dropping eldest son to swim training. Beautiful dawn, the wind has finally stopped blowing after a very windy welly weekend. TfTC.
A nice quick find under the cover of darkness tonight. Very unusual for me to be caching in Wellington two days in a row and rare for me to be caching at night but I was pleased to get the chance. TFTC
Phew, after two false starts caching we are now successful on our kill time til the Nelson flight comes in hunt.
Very quick find, but every time I find one like this I wonder what they are called so that I can buy one

Such a cool way to hide it! I didn't manage to find it until I looked at the photo I have to admit....
Spent the weekend in Wellington enjoying some local caching. On the way back to the airport this was a quick grab. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
Love these hidden in plain sight caches that generally outsmart the average bear aka muggle. Great job done with this one and love the extra measure to keep cache in container. TFTC
Another clever Boxhill hide that made us laugh. Giving it a FP. Log nice and dry. TFTC
Had actually stopped here to take a photo of the sign (the pedestrian’s butt looks funny) and then keep walking. Had to walk back to find the cache. It wa a worth it. I like the modification to keep the log in and the plastic bag is in good condition. Thanks!
Down from Northland for a few days visiting daughter who has moved into a new flat in Porirua. The weather wasn't that flash after our late arrival, due to cancelled and then delayed flights, but I was determined to find a cache or two before we headed up the coast.
This one was a nice quick find of a familiar hide, well suited to an exposed location. TFTC

School holiday mission to Miramar peninsula.
Nice hide, loved the container.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Sneaky hide. Have seen a few of these types in the past and shouldn’t have taken us so long to spot it. Tftc
As I am camping overnight at the marina this cache was too close to ignore. It was a simple grab, as promised, in between the late afternoon joggers on a stunning Wellington day. TFTC.
Found ok but log not in good condition. Managed to get my name on the damp log, but most others currently unreadable, unfortunately i didnt have any spare paper with me - in kit in car! Will try and return with paper and or recommend next person brings some. TFTC.
