I'd been wanting to return to Baw Baw sometime before winter kicked in (I had a disc golf disc to retrieve) and it was great weather for a visit on Anzac Day.
Ran in via the Summit and then down and around from there.
On the chilly side, which was good for running.
Reasonably easy find here, with a nice view.
Continued on along by Baragwanath Flat.
Thanks for the cache.

Bit of an effort to get here and through the shrubs. Cool rock though! Tftc

Tftc BaLuke. Bandyoda's big baw baw day out commenced with some drive bys on the way up and then as many on foot as time permitted. Finished up with a reasonable haul over 9.6 km on simply a brilliant Easter day.

From the track junction you can spot the likely target but not until you get to gz can you appreciate it. Quick find, log and cache are in good condition.

Well that was a surprise, definitely not the container type or size I was expecting, nice one SL TFTC

A little further on and I was round an intersection.

The runner's have all moved on now.

Made it easier to search here.

I was soon onto GZ and logging a find here.

After an extremely long enforced break that many cachers had to take during this year. Either way I was keen to get out and sign my name in some tupperware.

So tagging along with ahomburg today on a nice stroll and maintenance trip up on Baw Baw. Once again I have been here in summer more times then I have in winter. And every time I think to myself how weird it is to see how empty they are.

Anyways thanks for the cache and taking me to the beautiful part of Victoria.

you can see the signs of a well-made geocache

the wire in the log, say
an extraction tool
a rerolling aid
simple yet effective
a masterclass

*11 Nov 2018, Found @ 12:28 pm, Find # 8522.*

Today I headed out with biggles1024 on a re-run to Mt. Baw Baw to try and clean up what we had failed to find last time some 3 and a half years ago as well as the ones we didn't get a chance at looking for.
We were now on the new lot that weren't here last time, we made our way to this one, the GPSr was pointing at a particular object so I headed to it and started looking around.
As the cache is listed as a regular I was looking for something a lot bigger than what I eventually found, we were able to sign the log and we were off to the next one.

**Thanks to baluke for placing this cache.**

**Find #3304**
**Traditional Cache Find #2258**

I headed into the mountains with SteMicMitSar today. An early start and a long day followed. We didn't attempt this cache on our first visit to Baw Baw back in 2015 because I think we were running out of time and possibly daylight too. This one took quite a bit of searching because our GPS's didn't really want to 'play the game' at this location, but eventually, Steve made the find once again.

**Thank-you to baluke for placing this geocache**

Today I had planned a FTF Hounding trip and 16 kilometer hike starting from Mt Baw Baw.
Knew where this one would be located when approaching the gz. Just couldn't find the best way in, so ended up jumping onto the rocks to avoid disturbing any plants.
Found the camouflaged container easy enough without being fooled. Nice micro log file that I might have to find out where it came from. Made it a bit easier in grabbing it and rolling it back up.
Thanks for the cache Ba Luke

Find #9141

I could now hear the cars racing up ad down the mountain. This was a cool spot. Out of place cache found quickly.

I was at a loss for something to do this long weekend, so a plan was hatched to hit Baw Baw for a camping trip staying overnight at Phillack Saddle and wandering around on the mountain and also in Baw Baw Village. The weather was absolutely perfect with temperatures in the mid 20s during the day and mid teens overnight. Little did I know that a whole lot of motor heads were also descending on the roads up the mountain for their annual race.

Many thanks to BaLuke for the cache. TNLN.

Reperio at 0900.

After arriving at Mount Baw Baw yesterday amidst rain and thunderstorms, this morning was spent walking out to Gwinear and visiting a few caches in the WAB WAB series. Having returned from Gwinear, I started on this one and made my way down McMillian's Trail, which wasn't much of a trail as it was heavily overgrown. Great hiding spot here.

Found @13:36 #6324
With a week off from the normal grinding routine I sat down and wondered what to do.
With fine conditions forecast for the following couple of day I knew that a day trip to the southern high country and a region I haven’t been back to for a couple of years was a great idea. Quite a few caches had been published since I was last here and so got up early and left home at 6am to arrive at the car park by 8:30am.
Reviewing he cache map headed off up Muellers track with the main goal to find the 2 outer lying caches Gwinear & Orities. All up a 16km meander and was exhausted by days end. A clear indicator that my fitness needs to improve. Headed back down just after 4pm and was home by 6:15pm. An awesome day. Cool

By this stage at this time of day, I had now clock up about 13km and the body was asking to slow down. I was pleased this was a quick find and I do like the style of this hide. With the duties done it was time to meander up the hill...
Thanks for bringing me here today.

Up at Baw Baw for the weekend, we had left the snowboards at home as the lifts are not yet turning. We woke up this morning to a nice fresh dusting of snow, and so decided to go for a walk on the cross country trails around the back of the resort.

At GZ we spotted our first bit of exposed grass we had seen for hours! It looked like a nice place to curl up and have a snooze, but we had more caching to do, so I started hunting for the cache.

A well camoed cache here, I've added a favourite for both the location and the cache construction.

TFTC Baluke!
