Worst fears of a geocacher.. our pen stopped working ShivSD and I couldnt log but can confirm it has been hidden very well again TFTC..
While I had some free time before Christmas I came here to fill the Centennial Park with smileys. Great walks around here. Thanks for hiding.
Have only done a small portion of the tracks on this side of the valley. Had a great walk in the sun.
I really could not handle the track but Beeba found the cache which was a huge relief. Our last of the day and after crossing the bridge we biked to the car park and toilets then biked back to where we parked the car along the road. A lovely bike ride.
Not very deeply hidden & no sticks & stones!! Have returned it hidden a little better TFTC
Back at Centennial Park to finish the other caches after running out of time yesterday. A bit quieter on this side and glad for lots of tree cover in the hot sun.
Not the first place I looked and had to retreat a couple of times as there were a couple of wasps flying around. Widened the search a bit and cache soon spotted TFTC

Time to go for a walk through Centennial Park looking for caches.
As the previous cacher says one stick.
Cheers for the cache.

Found unfortunately someone had ripped it open and parts all over ground. We have put it back together and placed it where we think? It should’ve been?
I think the title didn't make much sense, as the previous finder added quite a bit of cover. Took quite a while for the GPS to settle, swinging between two spots. Eventually I split the difference, and there it was. TFTC.
Found this one here although we expected something different (no knowing what exactly).
Logbook is full, we scribbled in somewhere in the middle

This wasn't far from where I parked so carried along the track - turned out it was the wrong track. Waded through the long grass to the one above and there I found it in the third spot I checked. TFTC # 16,273
(# 6071). Day 5 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting caches around Timaru as well as having a good look around. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Just been given the Geocache app by my daughter as a Fathers day Present and tried it out at the local park and so this is my first find of many to come I am sure
Found it great hiding spot very sneaky also found a hibernating hedgehog under a big rock while hunting for it overall great cash
What a cool idea and not far from home. The kids and I loved it, thank you.
Wandering around Timaru, grabbing a few.

I don't know how much of this series we will get done but this was our first. Labour Weekend means a camper van holiday. JDScout and I stayed at the top 10 for two nights. Today we are heading home to Christchurch.
Thanks puxxdelux for placing this geocache 7901 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

A spot of night caching...how else do you cache in winter when you Work during the day? Spent too long searching for this one...just as I was about to give up I saw something suspicious. Tftc
Visiting my parents and took the opportunity to walk in the Park. Was nothing like this 35 years ago when I finished high school. Wonderful place to be on this sunny day. Great view from up here. TFTC.
In Timaru for an overnights family adventure - the main aim being to bike around Centennial Park.....high track a bit of fun! Boys loved it. Whilst I clambered high and low looking for this Mr12 asked for the hint...having told him he then said; 'oh, here it is, found it'...grrrrr. LOL. Cool .
Hello from the UK. Travelling around NZ for 5 weeks grabbing caches where I can. Made unnecessary hard work finding this devil. TFTC
Had a bit of time pressure at this one...dusk was approaching quick... so after a quick look moved on empty handed. Tftc
