Een paar dagen Rome voor de boeg. Vandaag is de “vrije” dag. Lekker op eigen houtje wandelen en kijken.
En als we in de buurt zijn en er ligt een cache dan doen we die natuurlijk.

Quel bonheur d’être à Rome. Ma dernière visite date de 3 ans et certains souvenir restent très forts de ce voyage sur la terre de mes racines.
C’est mon pays, je l’ai dans le sang et je l’aime. Ses habitants sont touchants, la langue m’émeut, les odeurs réveillent mes souvenirs d’enfance. Mes voyages en Italie ne sont jamais anodins et me procurent des émotions très fortes.
C’est la première année que je suis ici comme Géocacheur, cela apporte un plus au bonheur d’être ici.
A cet effet, je remercie les Owners (certains super actifs, ils se reconnaîtrons) pour leur implication et le plaisir donné aux autres à travers leurs caches. Nous ne vous remercierons jamais assez.

2ème jour dans cette magnifique ville, on en prends plein les yeux, extraordinaire méli-mélo de sensations et impression. Toutes

Che felicità essere a Roma. La mia ultima visita è stata 3 anni fa e alcuni ricordi rimangono molto forti di questo viaggio sulla terra delle mie radici.
È il mio paese, ce l'ho nel sangue e lo amo. I suoi abitanti sono commoventi, la lingua mi commuove, gli odori svegliano i miei ricordi d'infanzia. I miei viaggi in Italia non sono mai banali e mi trasmettono emozioni molto forti.
Questo è il primo anno in cui sono qui come Geocacher, porta un piu alla felicità di essere qui.
A tal fine, ringrazio i proprietari (alcuni super attivi, si riconosceranno) per il loro coinvolgimento e il piacere dato agli altri attraverso i loro cache. Non vi ringraziamo mai abbastanza.

We walked around some of the narrow lanes in the area. We were surprised that vehicles can be driven down them with so many people around.

I stood beside the search spot and quickly found the cache between passing muggles.

Before I could replace it a motorcycle parked right beside the sign and I had to wait for the 2 people to go away before I could replace it.

Our first time in Rome... and we enjoyed it a lot. It hopefully won't be the last time...
Besides sightseeing and enjoying the wonderful spots and squares we could find some caches as well. Not everytime we had been successful. But at the end there were plenty of founds.
On our first visit of the Spanish Steps we look around here but we did not see the cache. Today on our last day in Rome we came by again and had another look. This time we could finally sign the logbook.
Thanks a lot for the cache at this nice place and the interesting background information.

While visiting with a tour group from the USA, I had a chance to come find this cache during some free time between tours. This was a tricky one due to the presence of muggles right at GZ, but I was able to sneak in and made the find (then return the cache) without any problems. It helped a bit that they were distracted by eating lunch.

No cache found..

We found only a plastic bag, no cache.

The only thing we found was e selfiestick and a powerbank... we think this is not the Cache. Because of many muggels we gave up and look to an other Cache...

This took some searching. Not sure how long the cache will last here because it seems to be a place that the street vendors use to stash their goods!

Ik ben net een weekje in Rome geweest. Het weer wou niet echt meewerken maar toch heb ik hier en daar caches gezocht. Enkele tientallen werden gevonden maar nog veel meer caches werden niet gevonden. Vele plekken waren ook niet aangenaam om te zoeken. Toch wil ik iedereen bedanken voor het leggen van de caches.

A relatively quick find, but replacing the cache was more of a problem as the Muggles hordes were out in force. Thanks for placing the cache here for my pleasure. In Rome with Becka and she's just doing some shopping.

Found, in the Company of Seping and Heidi, we spenta few days of vacation in this city, thank you for teaching us these places that we did not know.

Primer día de estancia en Roma y dedicamos a recorrer parte de la ciudad, desde el Coliseum y Foros hasta terminar por la tarde y noche en las inmediaciones de la Fontana de Trevi. Ha sido un excepcional día de geocaching y descubrimiento de grandes maravillas, que hemos disfrutado mucho

Hemos podido encontrar y firmar una buena cantidad de cachés, sin embargo también hemos sufrido algunos DNF, aunque lo realmente importante ha sido poder visitar los lugares mágicos que hemos conocido, algunos de ellos gracias a los diferentes cachés. Por ello muchas gracias a todos los propietarios y saludos desde España.

First day of stay in Rome and we dedicate to tour part of the city, from the Coliseum and Foros until ending in the afternoon and evening in the vicinity of the Trevi Fountain. It has been an exceptional day of geocaching and discovery of great wonders, which we have enjoyed a lot

We have been able to find and sign a good number of caches, however we have also suffered some DNF, although the really important thing has been to visit the magical places we have known, some of them thanks to the different caches. Diky za pohodovou kesku, kterou jsem odlovil spolecnes s GeoCule, pri nasi (jiz tradicni) narozeninove mikro dovce. Rim, jako takovy, je neskutecne krasne mesto, ktere nas privitalo (oproti nasemu) krasnym slunecnym a teplym pocasim. Byla radost tady stravit 4 dny a doufam, ze jsme zde nebyli naposledy Danke very moc a posilame pozdrav z Ceske republiky

We are in Rome for a short holiday during Christmas and the days after. Besides sightseeing in the fabulous city and some shopping, we also want to find some caches. At home we already solved some mysteries, over here we will look for them and some traditionals and earthcaches too.
When we made the last stroll to Pompi's we also gave this one a try, and got it real quick. Thanks!

Although the weather was horrible, I spend some hours this evening with sightseeing and combined it with the hunting of some geocaches in this fascinating city. Unfortunately, I had many DNFs. However, this one was easy to find. Thanks for showing that place and best wishes from Germany!

This week me and Debster24 went to Rome. What a great city to discover. We enjoyed our stay near the center of Rome. We even did the bus tour and visited lot's of awesome and historical places.

We found some traditional and solved mysteries. The earthcaches were nice too. Some caches were easy to find.

Today is our third and last day in Rome. Schedule for today is going downtown to see the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. We also visited the National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II.

After we've seen the Spanish steps we found this cache.

During our 4 wonderful days in Rome we visited many churches and historical places, saw beautiful fountains and everyday life of Romans and also found many caches, this is one of them. Thank to all owners for their works for our pleasure. In teeny logbooks we signed only Z + R.
