A multitude of hiding options here. After searching unsuccessfully for quite a while I had a good think about the title and hint and then it clicked. Well obviously not well enough after thinking that would be that so that would be here or there. I'm sure its still there I just need to do a bit more thinking.
This trip has been a long time coming! After spotting the long line of caches months and months ago on the app map we finally got here! We rushed out straight after holiday program pick up to find a few before dark. I really must find a phone holder for my bike after wizzing straight past this one - found it on the way back after biking with one hand and holding the phone in the other.
I have an idea of what we should be looking for here, but no luck finding anything close to what I thought.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

Knowing that this was found in Nov, we spent extra time looking for this but had no luck today. We searched where the GPS and phone both pointed to as GZ then expanded out search out further and further until we finally called it a DNF. With the grass at times over head height, blackberry and gorse everywhere and not knowing if your foot was going to end up in a hole or not this was definitely not a 1.5 terrain today. Maybe if a weedeater goes through the track it will make it easier. Another one you may want to check on when passing.
This will be the last find for us tonight as we have to walk back before it gets dark. TFTC
In Geraldine for the weekend with BCD and it was a beautiful first day of Spring so nothing like a little Sunday stroll to get a cache or two! A lovely walk along the MTB track while the kids rode ahead. Enjoyed smelling the blossom on the trees along the way and even had to bring out the sunscreen. Great looking canon and mechanical check a-ok TFTC BCD
This took me quite a few minutes to find and was about to give up when I spotted it.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our weekend trip to Geraldine. We had been eyeing up these bike trail caches for a while and finally we have brought our bikes with us. The weather was perfect (maybe a little too hot at times) and we biked the Vance Rd to the Orari Bridge section of the trail. A few DNFs, and a few not looked for, but overall a successful day.
I did like the title for this one, most apt. GZ looked a bit daunting but with the help of the hint, it didn't take long to track down. TFTC.

#16682. Troodles tracked this one down (needed a bit of help on how to interpret the hint). TFTC.
It was time for a wander along the G.M.B.T today starting from the southeastern end.
Initially I was searching a smaller one a couple of metres away.
Cheers for the cache.

Here was me looking for a musical twist and my other half twigged straight away. Duh!! A very accurate hint. Thanks. And a chuckle.
Was initially planning a trip to Geraldine tomorrow (Sunday) to bike the river trails but forecast rain made me come today (Saturday). Frosty morning but a lovely sunny day. Bit late leaving home but all good. Will see how many I can find!
A very muddy and slippery corner - bit hard on the! Signed and moved on - light of the day fast fading.....

We’ve been planning to make a start on these GMBT caches for a while and this was our second find. This one is well-named! Cache was out in the open and the log was too wet to sign (we’ve uploaded a photo instead).
Day 9 - of our (The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara, & myself) epic adventure leaving Oamaru for Geraldine and the cycle trail today. Tobys at SH1 , and Zara at Main North Road. We are on Jack and Jill, with pedal power to the fore.
Snagged and tagged this one along our way - pedaling along enjoying the track. Cheers

Canon the camera company? Or canon the rule by which things are judged? Or canon a style of music?
Or maybe cannon with the extra n's - a type of projectile weapon? Oh, the latter. A canon would certainly have been interesting. But the cannon is too. (Did I mention I am a pedant?)
Taybeedragon and I are cycling the trail and enjoying every minute of it. The weather gods turned on a nice day - an excellent day off from the rigours of heading home after a week's geofesting in Oamaru.

Up from Mosgiel on a caching binge in Geraldine. Nice easy find. Beautiful weather and a beautiful spot. TFTC. Loving the trail! Thanks for the effort. The school teachers in me says this "canon" needs two n's (ie cannon).
I hunted and hunted for this cache for around 5 mins only to find it on the floor next to the path!!! Put back in the fuse. Cheers
It was time to do a bit of winter campervanning. Bbear44 was mad enough to join me. We took our bikes and headed into BCD country.

Thanks. BrownscacheDiversBCD for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 4898 for me.

Out for the weekend with my buddy Nosynel bike caching on lovely winters day. Enjoyed finding all the caches we did today.....some more than others lol. Thanks so much for placing them made for a fun day.
Back for 2nd attempt after my DNF four months ago. Found in the 1st place I looked today. I am now amazed that I missed it back then, surely I had looked there. Nice dry replacement log for me to sign first - caused me to wonder if those fresh MTB tyre tracks on the trail were put there by the CO this morning. Thanks for the cache BCD.
out replacing logs after all the rain ... all good please replace as found
Another quick find on the trail, Cheers
A leave pass from Ms KR and Ms KM. Where do we go? Packed up bikes and bike >40k on the GMBT. Slightly stuffed at the end, but found most that we looked for, and a had a great day.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

The leave passes for Karma Reprint and myself matched up, so onto our bikes to attempt to clean up the series in one day. 42km and 12ish hours later it's mostly done. Time for the last leg of the day, starting it at the finish. Cheers
A quick easy find on a short ride around the southern loop of G.M.T.B. The hint suggested we sought a cannon, not a canon, and this proved correct. The cache is of course micro not small. TFTC
Great day for a bike ride and a new track and a good Number of finds . Perfect. TFTC
Thought I would come back to grab this one as I couldn't find it last time. Tftc
Found on my way back from todays little adventure been a long time since i have done something like this and i still enjoy the exercise on a bike ... this one was a little tricky because its so well hidden
Staying briefly at Mt Somers for a few days . searching for Caches and the elusive summer weather. thanks for the caches. We appreciate everyone's effort to make and maintain each one.
Sunday morning maintenance ride I think bald ed had uncovered it but not seen because it was exposed when I arrived all good again
With today dawning fine it was time to get on my MTB and cyclocache my way along some of the various Geraldine MTB trails. Parked at the Western Seaward Road and first headed north up to and over (make that under) SH79 to seek 3 caches north of the SH before heading back to the cachemobile for a spot of morning tea. Once fed and watered it was time to seek out the caches south of Seaward Rd. I didn't quite make it all the way to Vance Rd as boredom and frustration with the poor poor physical state of many of the cache logs set in.
I won't be logging Needs Maintenance logs but will just mention something, where required, of the state of each cache.
I didn't understand the hint. Then I read the earlier logs and decided I'd about reached my limit of looking for teensy tiny sodden caches. I'm out of here.

Unfortunately no luck here for me either. Searched the likely spots but nothing. I will be back to try again
No luck here for me, found what had to be the cannon and I searched briefly in the pouring rain but no sign of a cache. Having previously found the three caches to the south along here, this was my turning point to head back along the single track to the vehicle at Bennet Road.
So off I set with the intention of doing both sides of the river today on my bike, the first time I have ridden it since February, paying for that now as I log. Nice track with not many people around, (I think I saw three others in the whole time I were there). Only managed to get up to the bridge and back before having to head home and I were a bit wrecked anyway. Enjoyed my day out all in all with some easy hides along with some more challenging ones. Sorry about the cut and paste. TFTC.
#2,524: FTF@12:45!!
Woo hoo! What a great day out! It all actually started last night, when Team_Gaters and TheWanglers were visiting me. I was looking for some way to celebrate International Geocaching Day. TG told me about all the FTFs on offer in this area, and that combined with a mountain-bike track was all it took. I arrived at noon, and started my ride, enjoying the beautiful weather, and the complete lack of other people on this fine Saturday. Twenty-six finds, 11 FTFs, and only 2 DNFs. All in all, a fine day.
The container is certainly not a small, but rather a micro. This threw me off on a couple of them, and should be fixed. I brought some trackables with me, thinking a at least a coin should fit, but was disappointed.
