StreetWalkerNZ and I are leaving the Yorke Peninsula today, destination: Nuriootpa. The weather forecast isn't the best so we left Point Turton by 7:30am in the hope we'd outrun the rain, but it caught up with us while we were doing the Anna Tommy series.A short detour on a very corrugated road to look for this nice big cache. Grabbed the TB. Now to get a coffee in Minlaton at a cafe in a very quaint old stone building. TFTC.
#24682. We opted to leave this cache for the drive north. Bit of a detour, and then a quick find. TFTC.
A short trip to the Yorke Peninsula with sandelf and muggle for the Minlaton show. Grabbing a few nearby caches while we're here. TFTC 3LG
Very creative. No swaps in it unfortunately. Would be great for kids. Maybe someone will resurrect it some day. Thanks Lib.
Nice find with woolwood9 today. Another day down the Yorke Peninsular for us.Thanks for putting this cache out for us to visit. SL tm/ww NZSoon located. A nice big bucket, as the other T.O.Y run caches.
Over to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega Event with tmann421.Have done a few km collecting caches and have enjoyed the tour aroundThanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining these for us to findSigned log tm/ww NZ
Another rare large cache, couldn't help but stop. Lod was open and no log inside so I've replaced it. Unfortunately I only had a tiny one Tftc
Day 1 on the Yorke before attending the Great Leap Forward.Amazingly ten of us have travelled from the Nelson area (top of the South Island) and as luck would have it, Andy & Gail just happened to be staying in Port Vincent at the same time as me.Much more fun finding geoart in a group so I greatfully accepted an offer to be driven around by Andy for the day while Gail did the expert navigating. We signed the Crab logs as MAG and most of the other finds with our full caching names.Wahoo, another large TOY run on our caching route. Not at a small coastal town this time but a larger Yorke sized metropolis. TFTC
Out and about with Marchwood today. We have found all the crab geoart and had some lunch so now we are just wandering to grab what we can before heading back to Port Vincent for the event.Large containers are in short supply back home so we are grabbing any we can while visiting. tftc#7434
Found on a trip to Yorke Peninsula with pineapplegoldy! Some of the logs will be signed as "Jimmy".TFTC
Jimmy and Goldy are back on Yorke Peninsula for a trip to Marion Bay... just to make sure that the pub is still good.Of course, caches will be found along the way.We went to Innes National Park on the first day before heading to the pub. It was good to appreciate the area again, such a lovely spot in the world. On the second day, we got up early and went for a drive from our accommodation in Point Turton. We drove to Corny Point Lighthouse before heading home. We targeted LB's T.O.Y series along the way, I always love large caches, so it was good to be able to get a few of them.A quick drive by on the way home. A nice cache which was quickly located. Interesting historical ruin nearby. Thanks LB for this traditonal cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3708 on the 30th of October 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
Found with the JAMS (JJ52, allister w. mogni/michells&hound, sir_spectre) on a Yorke's adventure.
Thanks
Thanks
always good to get a large container. found after doing some of the nearby geo art. quick find.
Found with JAMS ( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, Mitchell&hound plus sir_spectre ) crew. Mogni wants to get to 20, 000 by the Rutherglen Mega in Victoria and make that event her 20, 000 th. Targeted so multi's on the way down to get me closer to 1000 multi's, under 15 to go and got another 8 this trip. So we went out to get some parts of the fishing line geo art that some of the JAMS members haven't completed plus the " Crab ", " The Hook " and the " Sea Horse " geo art series plus some extra caches along the way. By request of one of the members of the fishy tales we swapped the logs sheets for new log sheets ( at least 350 ) and we also removed the 10 mint tins we found and replaced them with preform tubes. All containers found eaten, creacked, broken or with out lids were also replaced with the caches supplied bt the fishy tales group. By the end of the trip we had filled 1 and 3/4 quartes of a standard sized medium bin liner bag with log sheets and broken containers ( some containers not of the geo art series ). Only sighted 2 snakes while doing the geo art but i think i walk though at least 3 dozen spider webs. I found a trackable on the ground about 2 meters from the cache while doing the crab geo art, some people need to be more careful when carrying trackables in their pockets while caching. We stayed in Port Vincent over night. I even got my 18, 000 cache find this weekend, that is probably less surprising since i got just under 400 finds for the weekend. A good weekend away was had by all and it wasn't to hot but i wouldn't have wanted it any hotter.

Back here for my last night in Minlaton before travelling on tomorrow with Feathertop, and we couldn’t leave a large container unfound here. Thanks for placing it here.
Yippeee another LARGE! Spectacular destination. Day 5 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its the first day it has not been more than a chilly brisk! The Innes National Park and it’s caches was high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’m out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s today and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
After a lovely bakery lunch in Minlaton, I headed out there to get the local TOY Run cache. Quickly found and in good condition. Signed the epic log book and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache LiB. Find #6727 at 12.57pm.
What an epic journey we have had, just returned home from the holiday of a life time, we managed to catch up with PP2 for some caching at times, oh the memories and laughter!! Now it's time to catch up with the logging, thank you to every CO who has placed caches for us to find along the way TFTC
Found on my York Peninsula caching Odyssey. I enjoyed the scenery and the caches. The last one for the day. Thanks 3LG.
Nice, easy find. Although took me a little bit to open.
Picked up the traveller and will send to greener pastures.

I was staying at the Minlaton caravan park for a couple of days. Using it as a base to explore the local area.
It seems I find another one of the TOY series caches on every trip to the Yorke. Quick find.
A favourite point from me.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

Over to Walk the Yorke from Port Rickaby to Point Turton over two day. Weather a bit windy and cold, but thankfully the rains were light. Took 12 hours of hiking to cover the 42 km. You hafta love those beaches.
Thanks for the cache, LiB

A quick find while staying at Point Turton caravan park and out caching with Little Blue Wren.TFTC
Rub a Dub Dub, and Mrs P dislikes peppercorns intensely so Mr P had to do the honours.
Was the building an old milking shed? Didn’t see no cows but found myself a cache
Merry Christmas fellow geocachers.

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat.
But with restrictions easing and socially responsible caching again possible it is time to start filling the calendars again.
Day 1 of our holiday on YP. Agenda for today - head into Minlaton to the Chocolaterie for some essential supplies. Maybe Foodland as well and grab any caches that didn't get last visit.
Who doesn't love a large cache. A very quick find in the obvious spot. Cache still in great condition. [^] Grabbed a trackable to move on.
***Thanks LíB for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Lovely to find this large cache just a few streets from where I used to live many years ago! Cache #3503.
Today after a night shift of being "essential" again, I met up with Mr Froghoppin for a drive and a few caches to find. Turned out to be a huge day with a small length of fishin' line and several nearby caches located and logged. Thanks to Mr Frog for doing the driving and making it all happen.
Most caches today were in pretty good condition, with a few needing some TLC and some showing evidence of the recent much appreciated rainfall
Another nice big TOY cache. We left a couple of trackables to move on.
thanks LiB for placing and maintaining this and many other great caches

2020 - the caching curve has been flat long enough ! ! !
But do keep washing your hands. Exercise. Cache. Eat. Cache. Repeat.
And stay home if you're sick!
Support the regions by placing lots more caches! ( especially around the Barossa please [:o)] )
Out on the YP with Mattycat for the day, after completing enough of the Gone fishin series for the day and the sun was getting low we decided on a few in and around Minlaton before it was time to head home, with the sun set this one was found by torchlight, one can not go down the Yorke without at least finding a T.O.Y run this was the one today, left a TB

Yay. Found it. Was over visiting Watsacowie brewery with some live music and couldn’t leave without a smiley. Much easier and less grass than my other TOY experience and good to see lots of swaps still for future visitors. Another fun adventure, many thanks for placing this cache and the whole series LiB. One day I will finish it. TB visited.

On out way home with SupaOrange and SupaTurtle. Made a few short detours on the way. Fun cache. Thanks
Found with SupaOrange and Csaba!. We had fun on our holiday but now it's time to head home. Turtle Out.
Another good cache run today with SupaTurtle and Csaba!. Did a mixture of caches on the way back to Adelaide. Tra La Laaa
A great sized container. The horses in the nearby paddock had no interest in us. Thanks for teaching us about the town and the hide!
My plan was to head to the YP for an Anzac fishing expedition. Geohusband suggested heading there the night before to ensure a full day of fishing.
Great suggestion! So motel booked and headed off after work. Had a big list of caches to find on the way there but ended up with just 12, had forgotten it was Mum's birthday so that took up an hour phoning her in the UK. Did that from outside the wrong church in Port Wakefield. Continued on to Minlaton, was surprised how good the motel was, I am sure I will be back there on another fishing trip soon.
Came here after I had checked into the motel and eaten a massive carbonara. Found this nice big bucket quickly, signed and replaced. TFTC 3LG

At the end of our current visit to the Yorke Peninusula this was one our last cache finds in the area on our way back up north again. The cache was soon located once at Ground Zero where we signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the interesting information on the cache page. Greetings from Zimbabwe
A last minute trip that was purely made due to there being a CITO at Minlaton, off I went caching at a few stops along the way from Adelaide, collecting a few of the T.O.Y caches.
Arrived at the event for the evening to meet some lovely people from different parts of the world. We chatted and shouted so many stories around culture and the differences between countries, lots of random caching experiences and as well just some random conversations. After the event I had planned to do some of the geo art further south. I was soon joined by team GBS and what legends they are, some amazing people and they went guns blazing along the trails.
From 7-12 we found just over 210 caches. The trail is in very poor condition and probably needs a maintenance run in the near future. Some of the caches are broken or just a log book.
Day 2 I woke up and did some local caching before the CITO. The CITO was fantastic with 4 large bags being collected. I soon said my good byes and targeted the rest of the T.O.Y series along the eastern coast line. All the caches in the series are all in good condition.
Then I farted for the event back in Adelaide by mid day. Overall a total of 255 caches for an overnight trip and some long time caching friends made.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for their placements
Sorry for the generic log.
