Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
A few things to get done in Port Augusta today, so I really thought we would only concentrate on the two previous DNS at the Arid Gardens. I had heard they had been replaced. After finding them, we almost went back to the van, but kept finding "next closest" gave us another, and another smily face as we drove around the Yorkies Crossing road. We ended up having a 10 out of 10 day.
So Mr D found it while I waited hungrily in the car. Could have done with a piece of fruit.
thanks diggers09

Found it on the ground. Some animal has been gnawing on it. Returned as per the hint.
Now there’s a lot of fish n chips in that!
Thanks diggers09. and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Work's done and dusted for the week which means a free afternoon for caching - the target was to travel Yorkeys Crossing and find caches along the way. Great views and playing dodgem with trucks made the day.
Nice views from here. it looks like birds have had a taste of the cache - don't worry it's still in good condition.
Thanks for the cache diggers09.

After my Muggle mate just grabbed a pic of a freight train from Perth called the 6PS7 (6=Friday, 6th day of the week from it's point of departure being Perth, PS= Perth-Sydney, 7=High Priority freight) I decided to grab the Trad's on the way back into PA on the Heavy Vehicle detour road to grab 5 or so unfound caches.
This one was first from where I left off back in March of this year A surprisingly quick find at 08:43 on a wet and cool Sunday morning of 3 Dec 2017. The cache and contents are all good and dry [^] TFTC diggers09

Apologies for the late log ... life interrupted my logging. I hate it when that happens!
Another one quickly spotted by Doctor Owl ... and another interesting container. We're enjoying the variety of hides.
Mrs Gizmo escaped for a two day caching trip to Port Augusta with Dr Owl and CPwanderer.
After some annoying DNFs we headed off for a hot afternoon drive around Yorkey's Crossing and hopefully no more DNFs.
TFTC diggers09!

Out and about in the Port for the day with time to kill so we did the rounds and collected a few great caches to keep us busy. Perfect weather with no wind and gentle Autumn sunshine. We did notice how clear the air is up here now the power station is closed. Thanks for the effort in putting out these caches.
This was a cache with an interesting camo. It looks very realistic and am not sure whether some animals have attacked it. However, the log was in good order and soon had our name on it as well. It was replaced where found before we left. Thank you to diggers09 for another fun cache.
#6480 - 13:13; Day 7 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and albida33, so most logs were signed S.A.L. as a result. After a night in Port Augusta, today's plan was to cache in and around Port Augusta and Stirling North before heading south towards Whyalla for a couple of nights and produced 88 finds along with only 4 DNFs. After a morning caching around Port Augusta and Stirling North, we headed off for a circuit around Yorkeys Crossing. This was one of our eleven finds from eleven attempts as we went around enjoying the views and the caches. TFTC diggers09
Alice trip 2017. Day 5. With Sol de Lune and LuckL10n we started caching around Pt Augusta and Stirling before heading to Whyalla via a few of the short trails. A loop around Yorkeys crossing yielded several caches.
Thanks.

On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We headed through Burra and Port Pirie before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed. (Some logs were signed as S.A.L. to save space.)
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

After overnighting in Port Augusta it is time to continue our journey northward to the Oz Mega Event in Alice Springs. But first we must place some more smiles on the map for this area.
We have turned a couple of unfound in town to smilies now it's time to stay away from the black top for as long as we can. (Which won't be long around here)
TNLN SL TFTC
Sorry for the templates log but we have a few to do and not long to do them in.

Found by Mary & David at 0920. This camo was fun. Not what you'd expect here. Our thanks to diggers09.
Port Augusta Day2
A few new caches in the town since we last passed through here. Today we drove around Yorkey's Crossing then found a few others on the way home.
Interesting hide. Worth a favourite point.

Hi there diggers09.
We found your cache **"Yorkey's inland salt Pan."** at 10:36:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 15879).
We cached around the Port Augusta area today. On our trek we found a wide variety of container types. & ended up finding 9 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

#1274 Fourteenth of forty finds on Day 13 of my South Australian geocaching road trip. Nice easy find after a short search. TFTC
Finishing off the caches along yorkeys crossing today. A bit warm but muggle free. Loved the cache container...but I didn't bite the bait. TFTC Fav point
found it. It sure does look real but didn't have a bite today. Thanks to diggers09
last find for the day. It looked nearly good enough to eat. Saw a snake on the road so beware as summer is here. TFTC diggers09
Found on a trip to Whyalla, had Yorkey's Crossing cleaned out until now. TFTC diggers09.
Decided to take the Yorkeys Crossing tour before continuing today's trip to Whyalla and was pleased I did, a great road and some surprisingly scenic views. All good here, a quick find, signed the logbook, and replaced the cache as found.
Many thanks for the hide.

Today am heading into Pt Augusta with 3LG and The X-Trailers.
Whilst Mick from The X-Trailers is setting up camp Gwen is travelling with the rest of us.
Another great dirt road to explore.
A quick find and a fav point for the cache camo.
A bit over ripe for me.

Enjoyed these new caches – did the loop drive today – thanks for the work that you put into the caches - TFTC / TFTH / SL
A quiet spot to stop for a while.
But where was that pesky cache hiding ??
It took a few minutes to spot the really obvious
The cache is hanging in there !!
No worms have gotten it yet

Found while after spending week end in Whyalla an attending a Dinner event in Whyalla, so doing a few caches on way home quick find . TFTC
Weekend in Whyalla with Freddo and Laighside Legends[?] Don't mind if I do
Headed out Friday morning and got home Sunday night.
All up 2 events attended , 4 DNFs and 95 caches found over the 3 days
Good company and even a row boat ride too [^]
Some fun in Munyaroo Park with some fantastic geocachers and a chance to meet some geocachers who I haven't met before
We even managed 2 FTFs on our trip up
Seems geocachers aren't the only ones who like this cache
It appears that the birds do too, since there were a few peck marks in it
