With Starruby- a few Anderson caches I hadnt found. Quick find in a familiar spot. TfTC.
After walking the pooch along part of the rail trail we dashed across from the carpark and grabbed this cache, bit tricky parking anywhere so we thought that was a safer option. Amazed at how many walking and riding tracks there down here, geez they must be a fit population! Thanks Wal-len for the cache, all in good condition. TNLNSL
Heading home after attending the Capital Geobash Mega in Canberra while passing by I made the appropriate detour for the search. A quick find was made after a short walk. Thank you Wal-len for placing and maintaining this cache.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk Caches Found: 13160First To Find: 150Sidetracked Cache Finds: 118In the area for work and only had time for a few caches, after a short walk I soon had the cache in hand and the log stamped.Cheers for the cache
I wanted to get away for a while and the coast is always the best place for me to relax and unwind. Phillip Island is one of my favorite places for a beach break so i decided to head down here and remind myself what the ocean looks like, its been far too long.
I booked some pet friendly accommodation for the week and then threw together a list of caches to tackle on the way down and back but didnt make any plans for the island itself, island time doesnt need plans . This is my last day and i am heading home after a terrific mini holiday. Today i decided to do another decent walk with the geopooch before hitting the road. This rail trail looks just right.
After a great walk along the nearby rail trail i got back to the car and couldnt resist popping across the road for just one more. This s one proved to be a nice quick find and the log is nice and dry too, perfect.

Came to Cape Paterson for a weekend. We were going to ride our ebikes but the weather was to rainy So decided to explore the area. Trip over to Wilsons Prom finding a few caches on the way. On our way home to Geelong today and finding a few caches on the way home. TFTC
Bit of an awkward spot so close to the road. Perhaps not suited for young kids. But a good find nevertheless
#2061 En-route to Inverloch (again) and decided to stop at the bus stop nearby and tuck into the sausage roll I had bought about 15 mins earlier but was way too hot to eat then. Seeing there were caches nearby, I thought I'd go to the farthest this time. Easy find but but a bit of long grass to wade through, pleased I had long pants on. TNLNSL. TFTC Wal-len.
Extremely busy road and how to act nonchalant at a road barrier? Maybe everyone heading over to the island because the weather is so stunning. A quick find tftc Wal-en
After parking in the obvious spot it was a short walk to GZ and a quick find. Thanks to Wal-len for the cache.
Suscoe was working back from Anderson this morning along the Bike/Walk series.
A quick find here.
We noticed that many of the log books are full on these Bike/Walk caches, Maybe time for some TLC.

The weather has been beautiful all week, but that's about to change. It's already blowing a gale, and apparently the whole East coast is going to cop one heck of a soaking.
Until then...
A drive off the island to see if I can pick up Challenge caches and puzzles I've got final coordinates for, and Large caches.
The rain continued to hold off, so I stopped by Anderson Station on the way back to the island.
A quick first grab.
Thanks, Wal-len.

I gambled and took a chance that the rain would hold off today for my walk along this trail having parked at the bus stop carpark at the roundabout my plan was to walk 4km and back then to repeat on the other side after a lunch break. An easy early find is always welcomed when your warming up the Geo senses. Cache found, signed and returned.
Should we drive or walk? Nope lets talk to the cop. Waiting while PapaGrouch gets answers. Who knew you can call 000 if you pass a car with headlights that blind you on the country roads? But that just gives me more questions. How would you stop on the side of the road if you are blinded by the headlights and....if you cant see ...how would you dial 000. Totally useless information so....Now can we go get the cache? TFTC
Found with PapaGrouch and WeRAmused. After parking at the bottom of the hill to find another cache we crossed the road and headed up to this one, not too much of an elevation change. Biggest problem was the car that sped up through the roundabout and made us rush to cross the road. TFTC
A lovely stroll up and over the hill and back again.
Straight forward find at GZ.
Cache in good order.
Thanks wal-len.

A trip across Port Phillip on the ferry today and on my way to Phillip Island by a rather random route picking up a variety of caches. A short detour via Anderson to collect a few more caches A quick find here TFTC Wal-len
Found with icw, the bionic man. We have completed the caches at either end of the track and just need to find those in the middle. Tftc.
Thank you Wal-Len, I have to now complete your series. Did the first half before my hips went belly up, now resurrected with bits of ceramic and titanium and all good to go.
We were too close not to find the caches along here.
Cache was found where expected and in good condition.
Thanks Wal-len for making our drive that little bit more interesting.
Chiefton!!!

Accompanied with silence49, Early in the morning. Found your cache Wal-len, thank you so much for placing it.
This was the first cache I found after parking at Anderson just over the road.
I was doing a loop along this bike path, down to George Bass Coastal walk to Kilcunda and back along the rail trail. This was a nice easy find to start off with, and I had it signed and was quickly on my way again. Thanks for the cache.

With restrictions lifted in regional Vic I once again teamed up with SKI Pair armed with My mask and Sanitizer, Today we headed over the hills to Phillip Island where we had a great day exploring the Island, the weather was four seasons in one day, but that did not stop us. There were quite a few challenging and novel hides in the area. this is one of the caches we found today. A short stroll and this one was soon in hand.

Another day-another caching run!
Since the COVID restrictions have eased in regional Victoria we have been trying to do a weekly run with caching mate Rebel Acts. This is our fourth outing, and unfortunately the drizzle looks set to make things a bit miserable. Our first 3 days were beautiful, mild and with a light breeze. We are living in hope that the skies clear and make it more comfortable, but this IS Victoria.
As in the past we will sign many of the caches RASP.
We are back in this area for the second time in a few weeks, but there’s always something we missed on the last trip. Good to be able to clear a bit more of the map. Love the yellow smilies

Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so I am disabling my caches until safe to enable again.

Pretty easy for the seasoned cacher, anyone else would have to rely on luck. Found with jessee1997
On our way down to visit friends at Cape Patterson for the day we stopped to clear this one. Had me on the wrong side to start with. Thank for the cache Gonefishen07
I guess everyone has been down to these caches which is why a guard rail is unloved. Quick find. Tftc
**This was 1 of 36 caches that was found by me on the 8th of 16 caching days here in Australia. Which also was the 45th of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**
*Together with Ingabo, jsson and Sivun I would spend 16 days in Australia. Our journey started in Melbourne and ended in Sydney. After that I continued to New Zealand while the others headed back towards Melbourne.*
*All in all I did manage to find 263 caches, 9 types, 3 new months and many more statistical fillers.*

We, (jsson, peter-tvm, Sivun and myself) went for a small car drive on Philip island today. We logged as IJPS.
We had nice weather so we made some longer walks too.
Thanks for placing a cache for me to enjoy and find.

I started at this end and made a good start here.

I headed out today with biggles1024 for a trip down to Phillip Island, it has been a while since we have been down this way and there are so many more caches to find now since the last time.
I had completed this trail just over two years ago but now there were some newer additions to the trail so they needed to be found so once again it can be completed, we started with this one and walked over from the bus station, once there it was a quick find in the obvious spot.

During a previous visit to the area, we had looked for caches along the Phillip Island Road from the junction of the Bass Highway to San Remo. We found most of them but missed a small number. Since that visit a number of new caches have been added to the walking/riding track along this road. So, our last task for the afternoon was to look for as many "To Be Found" caches as possible before the light faded.
Accurate coordinates and the cache name led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Wal-len for the cache and other caches along the bike/walk track.

Decided to tackle a section of the Walk Path series today, on foot
Was pleased with the variety of hides. Most were quite easily found due to accurate co-ords. Unfortunately some logs were found wet and some logs quite full
Loved the pathway and the views. Look forward to returning to complete the series including the odd DNF
Many thanx to Wal-len

Acting as chauffeur for ceebee1013 (and her two granddaughters, I drove to Anderson, parked in the roundabout and we walked to this cache, signed the log and they walked on to the next cache while I walked back to the car to move on. I barely made the walk back so I cache -hopped by road while the others mostly walked on. TFTC.
08/04/2018 - 10.41am - Find No. 944 - 1st of 8 finds for the day - with dgfb33 & big-little & littler grand daughters.
I was very close to getting the minimum amount of points for all the Planet souvenirs but didn't think I would get there as I was babysitting the girls while NGS worked ... a big thankyou to dgfb33 for offering to ferry us to a place where I could get the 8 caches needed to bump up my points. My first thought was to leave at daybreak to get the finds in before NGS had to head to work...this then became an old plan as he didn't arrive home till the late wee small hours as he was out with his phone gaming & said he wouldn't be awake till 9.30am. Hmmm ... that meant taking the girls ... ok ... but biggest-little one had given instructions ... she was interested in going 'treasure hunting' again but she didn't want to be woken up to go ... sigh ... Recently she has been sleeping later than late-to-sleep/early-to-rise little sister so there was hope that littler one might wake her early... Nope, that didn't happen so it was about 8.30am before bigger-little wandered out of their room. I had hoped we could be away before it started to get too warm & the traffic started to be a problem ... that didn't happen either . . . trying to get them to eat is sometimes like leading a horse to water & one more than the other was sluggish with the dressing bit. Anyway, we managed to get ready, with hastily prepared snacks stashed for later, & head out sometime after 10am.
So then there was debate as to whether to start at the beginning or get the ones dgfb knew about somewhere partway along. We decided the former would do, less driving & getting new ones for both of us, so off we headed to our first parking spot at the Anderson roundabout. We headed across the busy road & up the hill to the first find with traffic zipping past to the island. [:/]
Cache was found, admired by smaller ones, photoed, signed & returned as found. Thanks for the cache. There were about 4 cycling muggles during the whole trip but not while we weren't hunting & only one muggle on foot for the whole trip...bargain!!!
The girls did a lot of walking between short car rides but still managed to get distracted with stones, gravel, sticks, stones, sand/gravel, stones ... but nowhere near as much as they'd managed on our trip out on Friday ... they were a bit tuckered out & a little warm but & mostly happy by the time we headed home.

Needing a decent length walk I decided to pop down Wonthaggi way and walk along the road connecting Phillip Island to the mainland. I only saw one person along the path today and even that was close to the car park next to Westernport Views.
I hope the locals make more use of this great facility than what I saw today but then again the bus stop at Anderson is not exactly the most popular starting place for a walk, now is it ?
Most caches were found without too much trouble with only 1 missing, 1 in desparate need of a new log, 1 guarded by so many Xmas spiders that I really couldn't see a way through to it without destroying much of what they built so I left the cache alone and 1 a DNF because I simply couldn't find it despite logs advising it was a simple find.
Thanks for the fun Wal-len.

After my time was up further down the coast, I made my way to the Island. I was going to attempt a bit of this series but stopped after 3 caches. This one was not where I was thinking it would be and I had to be very careful of the traffic only meters away & the massive thistle growing right at the GC. Quick find. Stamped and returned as found.

We parked the geo-vehicle close to GC6QVG1, rode to this one, made a U turn and signed in here, very happy not to be looking for parking spots along the way.

I spent the morning caching down the Bass Highway, starting near Wonthaggi and working my way back north. My main goal for the day was to find one last cache to complete D/T loop 10, which I did.
On the way back I parked the car and had a pleasant walk along the bike path (no bike today) to find the caches. Nice views along the way too.
Thanks Wal-len.

Knew where this one was going to be as soon as we saw where the gps was pointing us. A nice quick find and we were on our way up the hill for the next in the series. TFTC.
I remember driving cross the south island of NZ and finding about 20 of these in a sequence, so knew exactly where to look. Thanks Wal-len for an interesting series on a scenic walking path. An FP for the series. TFTC
I offered up my Uncle duties to the three kids for the day but they had plans so I threw the bike in the car to head down to the rail trail series again. I didn't see many people on the trail today but even better was the lack of flies. They really got to me last time I came here.
27 cache finds and 3 dnf's.
Not bad all in all. The weather was great and the exercise was much needed.
Second stop and another quick one. My gloved fingers made hard work of the bag and log book but eventually I added my name to the log.
Thanks Wal-len

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. I usually cache on my own but sometimes I will collect my nephew stinky bob and my brother stinky tom who both enjoy this hobby.
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.
