Stopped here to see if we could find it,even though the early log said it was gone.. No luck for us ether..
Jones.gang I didn’t find your cache The Old Bruce - Look Both Ways Before You Cross on 16/2/2023, 3:09 pm. Stopped at GZ, no tree just long grass. This needs to be looked at.
Travelling south from Rainbow Beach to Noosa Heads, we left Bruce for the Old Bruce and at least some caches of this series. Our campervan's called Bruce, too, so this was a must do.
Found what remains of the cache, but had nothing to replace it with, sorry.

On my way from Canberra to North Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
I didn't have my replacement on me but stopped anyway. Even managed to sign the log.

Today we are reluctantly making our way south towards the colder weather but we are still planning on picking up as many caches as we can. Because of the large amount of muggle traffic at this time of the year we are mainly focusing on Adventure labs and earth caches.
We spotted this little series on our way down and thought that we would our luck at least at the ones that had been found recently. Happily we found each one we looked for and we quite enjoyed our little journey along the old Bruce highway.
Look Both ways before you cross has been destroyed by a mower and all that is left is a few bits of a container, part of the log book and sum of the plastic bag..
Unfortunately we had nothing to replace it with, hopefully the next team can.
Please don't take this generic log as an insult as we do appreciate the time, effort and expense that goes into setting up the series but it's also hard to remember each cache individually when doing a series.
Thanks very much for setting it up.

Out at pomona for the weekend with the girls, the cache container has been mulched need replacing, we found remains of log and container, we did sign log , urgent action required to replace container tftc
Think the cache was mulched with tree or whatever was here, we found the remnants of a log book, baggy, and what looks like was the cache.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers, Misssusan79 and Lisylou). Unfortunately the tree has been cut down and mulched and so was the cache. We signed part of the shredded log. CO needs to replace this. TFTC!
Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
Quickk find here.
A really good sized cache with kids swaps but unfortunately this is NOT a very kid friendly GZ ... unless you don't like your kids.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

After spending the night at Carters Ridge, we packed the camper up and headed to Gympie for the day before settling in Kenilworth for another night of camping.
I had previously grabbed some of the Old Bruce Series, but had ran out of time. Time to finish them off. Grabbed a trackable after fighting my way through the thick vegetation. Once I was in, a cache in very good condition presented itself whilst Mrs RogersClan kept watch.
Thanks for the cache **Jones.gang & SPlKE**

Had to fight the Lantana on this one. Coongoola & Geodog found your cache today, 28 May 2021 10:39 am , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC Jones.gang & SPlKE
Tftc, having driven up and down here quite a few times while in the area. Today was the day to collect the caches before we head north tomorrow.
Good sized container so dropping a trackable here.

We were heading north for a CITO event and also a celebration event at Gympie but with car problems as we neared the CITO the decision was made that after the event we would turn around and head back to Caboolture. Drat drat and double drat.
We decided to use the old Bruce Highway and pickup what caches we passed as we did not wish to put undue pressure on the car.
Another top place to park and it was completely vacant, no police here today. SL TFTC

Final day in Cooroy/Traveston area, making the journey back home.
Well known our way now, knocking off these Old Bruce Highway ones. We did have to look both ways - today the old highway was quite busy. But at GZ, we found the great sized cache in a very obvious but well hidden spot.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 10:46 AM on February 21, 2021. TFTC, Jones.gang & SPlKE

After our weekend away with RoddyC hatzofff Snickersallan and TMZ59 for the Mary River paddle, we are now caching on our way home.
Surprised how busy the Old Bruce was today so care was needed to cross the road safely to grab this cache. A quick find SL then returned as found.

A few park and grabs on the way home from Imbil after a weekend away with friends. This one was a quick find in the obvious spot. I signed while keeping an eye on the big scary ants around my feet. Tftc Jones.gand & SPIKE
Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious. Quick and easy find after crossing the road. TSLSSL TFTC!
What a fascinating tree near GZ. I didn't count the individual trunks, but there were lots of them, all clustered close together. Wandered around the base so I could have counted them I suppose. Hindsight gives very clear vision I always think. Anyway, managed to spot the cache container, and even managed to coax it out of hiding to sign the log. No swaps today, so replaced it, and looked both ways before crossing. "Look to the right, look to the left, and look to the right again" is what mother always told us. TFTC, jones.gang
While traveling to Gympie with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to stop and find a few caches along the way...

3:24:00 PM. Taking the quiet way home. A walk across the road and I could see the cache well hidden. A bit of a stretch and I got it out of it's hide. Log signed and returned as found. Thanks for the cache Jones.gang
Heading up to Gympie for a work course, and managed to leave early enough to fit in a few previously unfound caches along the way.
Great sized container and nicely hidden. Plenty of room and a safe hide for TBs, so I dropped off a few.
---
Log signed at 11:00 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **Jones.gang & SPlKE**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Lovely big container. So good to see them as there are so many micros around, and the kids do love the swaps and travel bugs. We pulled up right next to gz. You know its going to be quick and easy when you read 3m and you're still sitting in the drivers seat! I still managed to get covered in cobblers pegs though. After all, it wouldn't be caching if the booty wasn't protected
Today I met up with csnmasn and we headed north out of Cooroy to grab a cache or two and this was the next on the list.
Once at GZ it was a short search and the cache was in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Found easily, love bigger sized caches. Dropped off 2 TBs - please keep them moving.
This was my muggle husband and my last find for the day on the way home to Brisbane. At gz we parked on the other side of the road then looked both ways to cross. My husband found this nice big cache. Will be back one day to finish this series. Thanks for the fun
Today we had a lovely tour as we headed on the way south with ilook4geo. We saw water and island views, pine forests and logging of the trees, as well as eucalypt forest and little quiet out of the way hamlets.
We had a really good day, with no DNF caches to record and each log was duly signed, with each cache being returned to its proper place before we moved on. This was an interesting series of caches along the old highway.
Thank you to Jones.gang & SPIKE for placing this cache and adding to the caching game.

Has a good drive today with lots of different scenery to enjoy. Found all the caches looked for with goingplaces2, signed the logs. Enjoyed the day very much. Thanks to each CO for the caches we found.
Parked up and headed to gz, great sized cache geokids were expecting a hoard of treasures but ended up with travelbug
Found with stairman1 and geopuppy. Too hot for geopuppy yo get out into the 35 degree heat so she stayed in the air conditioned car. Nice quick find. Dropped some tvs to continue their journey. TFTC
Found with goldielover and picked up a bug. Dropped a couple off. Great cache container so safe for the bugs.

We have set up camp for a couple of days at Kanganda, a good location to head along the Amamoor Muster Trail & the south along the Old Bruce Highway. A great contrast in regions from forestry , highways into small towns.
A good variety of locations & caches found.
Picked up a TB & left one behind.
Thanks for placing this cache Jones.gang

Bit of a story here. Logged the another cache as having been found and dropped a trackable into it. Only to discover that it was the wrong cache. The TB had been physically dropped here.
Ah well. Easily solved. I'll electronically retrieve the TB. No - I don't have the right code. So a trip back to this cache to get the code.
Total result - dropped one, retrieved one (That's another story)

Awesome cache I placed a kangaroo trackable originally from Germany in there for next to find because it deserved it
Uh - did the whole Old Bruce series today but can't remember the details of this one as we sit at home and write the logs!! But it has been done.
A had a bit of time to spare today so I decided that I will grab some of the caches in this series as they are near to home, however I rarely drive along the Old Bruce Highway.
Parked at a nice safe parking spot and headed to GZ.
It was not long before the cache was in hand. I love these types of caches.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

Travelling up the old Bruce, I had to pass some caches in the series but decided I would target them next time I travel to Gympie for work (and caching - suckers!). All of a sudden there was the odd car on the road travelling to Pomona and the time on the road to myself was over. I had to start checking if it was OK to perform technical manoeuvres or whether it was OK to cross the road nude.
A least this cache had a nice parking spot to cross the road. I forgot to take a phlog (photo log) which I normally do at each cache so I can remember what was happening at the time. It's not meant to be a photo of the cache or anything, just a picture of me or the team doing something stupid so we have something to write about in our logs. tftc

We had just bought a new car and thought we would give it a run up here finding this series. We loved that thought had been given to making sure that we had a proper place to pull of the road to look for these caches. We made a quick find on this one after parking across the road and looking both ways before we crossed! We loved the container so this one gets a favourite point from us for it. TNLNSL TFTC
