We did look for another cache in the series in a 'Rocky' place, but we couldn't find it after 10 minutes each, and we were pretty exhausted from our previous efforts finding caches, (climbing Mt Cooroora...straight up, up,up), so we decided to give the Rocky cache a miss.Happy to say that we found Lack of Reception not a problem here, and the cache was quickly to hand. Thanks for the cache, Jones.gang.
Looking for a full day of caching, I packed my car and headed up the coast to camp at Duppers place so we could make an early start. We found somewhere safe to park and made our way to the cache. Happy with a quick find here.I found your cache, The Old Bruce - Lack of Reception today.Jones.gang, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
We had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the region and were lucky to have perfect winter weather for it. We visited some wonderful sites, enjoyed some spectacular views and discovered some interesting history along the way. Thankful there was enough space to pull off the road here. At first I checked the obvious spot but then check the GPS and found I wasnt even at GZ. A quick change in elevation and the cache was soon spotted. Thanks Jones.gang
Almost missed this one so we were happy that there was no traffic behind us when we had to pull over. Made our way up the incline and quickly located the cache . TFTC

Early morning start on day 3 of this caching trip away. Spent the night just outside of Gympie after finishing another leg in the challenge that Im currently working on. This morning I have a bit of time left to work on the next leg.I am rive at ground zero, find a safe way lace to park and then make my way to ground zero. I quickly find the cache, extract the log and make my mark.I return the cache to the hiding spot and then back to the van and off to the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
A beautiful day for a drive with geopup and mugglemum. With the car pointing north after an event, we headed to Cooroy and Pomona to collect some caches in the area for a challenge I'm working on.

Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
A quick start to day 3 of OUR Gympie Muster with Mrs VC spotting this one straight sway.
Always nice to start on a positive note!
Made our mark & replaced as found.

We were heading north for a CITO event and also a celebration event at Gympie but with car problems as we neared the CITO the decision was made that after the event we would turn around and head back to Caboolture. Drat drat and double drat.
We decided to use the old Bruce Highway and pickup what caches we passed as we did not wish to put undue pressure on the car.
Again hubby was the one to do the hard yards while I checked out the tree decorations. SL TFTC

I contacted GeoNayfee and said I was looking at doing the evil series of caches at Pomona and a couple as we passed. It’s an early morning trip as I want to be home by mid-afternoon, not a big day, but we are going to have to leave early. Yeah sounds good and with a leave pass granted we were off. A 4 am start for me and a pickup along the way saw us arrive in Pomona by 6.30 am. To keep my cache a day and my trad a day challenges going we picked up a couple along the side of the road first. A short stop for some breakfast and then we were off caching the evils or so we thought.
A wrong turn into the wrong forest saw us doing some 4 wheel driving on some very turned up tracks and then, oh shoot, we were stuck. With all the rain and mud there was no way of getting up that hill in the clay…. 2 hours later with the ruts filled in and the centre mounds dug up, we finally got out, only to find the next issue ahead and then the next. 3 and a half hours later we were finally out and back on the right path. Hmm so much for the early caching day.
OK, then the day picked up and we were off collecting all 6 of the evil series and a few trads in the area as well. It was a fun filled day, I can see why the names of the caches came about, that landscape in certain parts was just pure evil. Plants that reached out and grabbed you, grass that was 6 foot tall, trees falling beside us, vines with 2 inch long thorns and then there was the walking in creek beds and water crossings; what an adventure.
All in all it was a good day, I think I made it home around 630 pm, hmm early day lol. Thank you for the puzzles and the caches, most are still in good condition with some needing a little attention of broken lids or damp log books. I have given 3 favourite points to certain caches, thank you.

I wasn't aware I would need crampons and climbing gear to scramble up to this one, but got there without a belay rope and without falling. An easy find as it turned out, so added to the log and managed to reach the bottom of the cliff without falling. TFTC, Jones gang etc.

Sunday. Now only needing 3 more caches before we needed to head off to grab Slow Puncture’s 5000th, Que Sera and I targeted this cache. Nice and close and on the way! Fits the bill nicely. We came to one spot and thought Ohhh! Very pretty! Whilst Que Sera was having a closer look at said tree, I heard her say something about what a pretty spot to put a cache. I headed up a bit further and soon spotted the cache tucked away. We signed our names and claimed another smiley on our way to claim “The Big Cache” for the day. Lovely area here.
This was the 2nd of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Jones.gang***, for showing us this place.

Mrs slow puncture and I were on the way to serenity on the mountain and we decided to collect a few smileys on the way. At gz I was looking at a tree decorated while Mrs slow puncture found this cache. Dont be fooled by the pretty decorations but they are nice. Took a photo then on our way. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
3:55:00 PM. Taking the quiet way home. We were traveling the wrong way for this one so made a uturn and came back to park. A bit of a scramble and the better half made the find. Log signed. Thanks for the cache Jones.gang
Heading up to Gympie for a work course, and managed to leave early enough to fit in a few previously unfound caches along the way.

Found with no trouble, tucked away safely. Log book damp but still ok to sign. Yes, lack of reception can be a bit of an annoyance around here. As a local I can vouch for that! Unless you're with one certain provider, you can forget it. Thankfully we are, so navigating to gz went smoothly TFTC
Today I met up with csnmasn and we headed north out of Cooroy to grab a cache or two and this was the next on the list.
Once at GZ it was a short search and the cache was in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

I was heading back from Gympie when I decided to grab this one. I pulled up and noted some kind of Easter display going on.. Hmmm.. good-o...
I moved up toward GZ and soon found the prize. The logbook was a bit damp.. but meh. I've seen worse. I signed the log and re-hid everything as found.
I headed back down the hill when I hear an almighty bang... like a gun going off.. and then I heard the unmistakable sound of a truck with a blown tyre on the highway just behind me coming to a gradual stop. Sucks to be YOU, buddy
I would have passed this spot thousands of times over the years.. especially in the 1990s. TFTC Jones.gang & SPlKE

Surrounds are boggy so the container is dirty and the logbook is very wet. Needs maintenance.
Today we had a lovely tour as we headed on the way south with ilook4geo. We saw water and island views, pine forests and logging of the trees, as well as eucalypt forest and little quiet out of the way hamlets.
We had a really good day, with no DNF caches to record and each log was duly signed, with each cache being returned to its proper place before we moved on. This was an interesting series of caches along the old highway.
Thank you to Jones.gang & SPIKE for placing this cache and adding to the caching game.

Has a good drive today with lots of different scenery to enjoy. Found all the caches looked for with goingplaces2, signed the logs. Enjoyed the day very much. Thanks to each CO for the caches we found.
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
Tftc, tnlnsl. Quick find. There seems to be a monument to a child up here too. Wonder about the circumstances.
On our way home after the 2018-2019 New Year Event at Kilkivan. We wanted to do the Old Bruce Highway caches but had to skip a few because of intermittent heavy down pours. All good with this cache. Thanks Jones.gang & SPlKE
We have set up camp for a couple of days at Kanganda, a good location to head along the Amamoor Muster Trail & the south along the Old Bruce Highway. A great contrast in regions from forestry , highways into small towns.
A good variety of locations & caches found.
Thanks for placing this cache Jones.gang
