Another day back in Chiltern Mt Pilot trying push my D/T average up slightly. A nice walk to some waterfalls and then a bit of CSI work. Then on to Beechworth to try for some new caches with a borrowed TOTT (and dinner with a group of sewing ladies!).This group was my aim today - I wanted to do these last weekend but ran out of time. Had a logical route planned based on the topography which worked out well. Parked near the boundary fence and then Fien the gradual and then steepish hill. Lots of spots here for a cache but thankfully a quick find with pretty accurate coordinates here.TFTC Bingley3683

Took us a while to uncover this one.
It’s relatively dry in here but the falls are certainly running well. TFTC and the exercise.

Nice to hear the sound of flowing water nearby. Most of our caching is in summer when it’s dry. Nice to be here in winter.. and it not raining now! Lol. Easy find after popping the phone down and circling around a boulder. TFTC.

Back up too Mt Pilot National Park again today to knock over some more of the OCR series.

Took a while to spot this one, would be an awesome spot after a downpour. Tftc Bingley!

Last cache of the day on this far too hot day to be gallivanting about in the forest chasing Tupperware…
I came to this one from the OCR cache to the south, which was a pleasant easy walk, a bit different to the walk along the creek back to the car.
A bit of a circle around collecting cobwebs before I spotted the cache and signed my life away.
I tell you what, this would be an impressive waterfall after a bit of rain.

What a beautiful day to be out caching. Another lovely spot in the park and a cache to add to the smiley count and supposedly help me up a mountain.

Will some decent rain last night i thought this would be a great spot for a walk.
You can follow the track to within about 80m of the cache.
Plenty of water flowing over the falls today made it very worthwhile.
The cache itself was very well camouflaged, but not too hard to find. Thanks

Quick find by our youngest while we were still making our way to gz. We have really enjoyed exploring clear creek. Minimal water today but can imagine it being spectacular in full flood! This is exactly why we cache...all the off the beaten track treasures that we are taken to. Thanks for sharing this treasure Bingley3683

Mum and I headed off for a hike in the bush and started with this one.
Parked on the side of Old Coach Rd and trekked down to the falls.
Not too good with the weeds but I do know prickly pear and there was a lot around, sorry to let you know Mick.
After spotting the falls which for this trip were dry apart from a couple of small pools, the search for the cache was on.
Found the likely spot and we signed the log and replaced with care.
I would like to come back after lots of rain to see and hear the rush of water as its a lovely spot.

#4097 4:18 pm

Last few caches for the day, this being the third last. Parked up on a rock on Old Coach Rd so the underside of the van wouldn't set fire to the drier grasses in this part of the park.
Found a track leading in the right direction so followed it until close to Gz, then detoured through the grass to have a look at the falls from below before climbing up then going to find the cache.
Found myself going around the clumps of rocks as the pointer didn't want to settle down enough to narrow it down. Eventually found the cache in a spot I glanced over on the first pass.
Good to see some water coming over the falls, wonder if continues through summer or dries up.

TNLN , TFTC , Cheers.

This was one of around 4 caches near Eldorado that I made the focus of today's caching. I parked at the specified spot and decided to go for the lowest of the three caches first, so that the walk back from the third was going to be a lot easier. I was hoping for a trifecta of the three caches along this creek, but despite my best attempts, the first ended up being a DNF. I found the second one after a couple of minutes and this one was found after about a minute.

So I spent 30 - 45 minutes at a difficulty 3.0 cache and failed, yet picked up this difficulty 2.5 cache almost immediately. (I wish the first one was as easy as this one). Oh well, to quote the MeatLoaf song, "two out of three ain't bad". I enjoyed the walk and the lovely falls, and the walk out was much easier than I expected.

My thanks to Bingley3683 for the cache. This one deserves a favourite from me.

While there is still a lot of water around we thought we should go to the three waterfall caches.
Such a nice day today, so BettyBoo3747 and I set off for Eldorado.
We approached these falls from down stream - the third in the series today.
We popped out on the rocks at the top of the falls and startled a couple of kanga bouncers.
Took lots of photos, and walked back to the car.
Unfortunately someone has been using the jeep track and has made an awful mess of it.
Thanks, Robmc.

#11072. Today was our lucky day. I insisted that we visit some waterfall caches regardless of the weather and we got a fantastic sunny day for our adventures. The countryside is looking so lush and the spring flowers are starting to appear so the scenery is wonderful. We visited 3 waterfalls, one rock painting and one Behemoth and really enjoyed our ramblling in the sun.

It is surprising that these 3 sets of falls are quite close together so they made for a very pleasant morning wandering along the creek. Discovered the cache, added our names and admired the falls before startling a couple of roos that were heading our way but hadn't noticed us. One did a U-turn and jumped straight over the top of the second one. I thought the middle and top falls were the best of the day but maybe we needed to wander a lot further downstream to get a better perspective on the first one we visited. Now time to return to the geo-chariot and decide where we will go next.

Thanks Bingley3683

2nd TF #3983 A very pleasant walk where we saw wallabies, wildflowers, moss beds, baby ferns and finally a raging waterfall! SL at 10.45am Took numerous photos along the way and left: Wally wombat TB to enjoy the surroundings. On our way back to the geoCruiser we found a piece of CITO that was waaaay too big to cart away, maybe you will see it too! TFTC Bingley - another gem in the Eldorado Hills that only comes to life during a wet winter.

**FTF** @6.57am WoopWoop Very Happy

I was up early for a go at two new caches. This was the first which I attempted and only a slight detour off my usual route to work...
I parked up on the road and made a leisurely walk down to GZ. It was great hearing the gushing water flowing for most of the walk.
A really great falls this one, loads of water flowing over it at the moment made for quite the spectacle!
I took a few obligatory photos before starting my search for the cache, but made a quick and easy find when I did.

Ripper location Mick! I love all these hidden gems around the parks that can only be found by a little off track walking.

I saw these falls a couple of years ago and wondered why the cache on the hill referred to them in the name. I see now that cache has had an update.
Beaut falls, will hopefully make it back to see them while we still have loads of water around.
