I wanted to find a cache today in order to work on earning the current [September Equinox Souvenir](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2024/09/celebrating-the-september-equinox/#:~:text=Geocaching%20HQ%20created%20a%20souvenir,September%2022%E2%80%9328%2C%202024.). Unfortunately I got off work quite late and so by the time I left work, the sun was long gone. However, with the weather still being surprisingly warm I decided to try and still get out to grab a cache. But with the sun already set I decided to limit my search of available caches to low difficulty regular size caches. So as I was searching around [Cachly](https://www.cachly.com/), I ended up spotting this one and thought it would be a great target for my evening adventure. So after I finished up work I hopped in the geomobile and made my way to the [recommended parking coordinates](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=56dd514f-67d4-4057-b012-d613e4b7661b&RefID=770984a6-0941-4fad-bb26-f501ec968ede&RefDS=1). I was shocked by how warm it still was outside and it made the walk to GZ quite nice. Once I arrived at GZ I ended up spotting a likely beacon, but where oh where could the cache be. I am not sure if this one was more difficult than I thought or if I was just struggling due to the lack of daylight, but this one definitely took me longer than expected. However, eventually after a few laps I was able to spot something a bit out of place and then the cache was found and the logbook signed.A big thanks goes to [mazza-g](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=75978730-5e3a-4317-a92b-5eb8bf237ee9) for all the fun this evening. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache container was in good shape and all of the inner contents were nice and dry. The logbook was also clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

**06/01/2024, 11:22:00****Find #5646****Traditional Find #3372**I headed up to this part of Melbourne, a part I seldom go to, for an event and to find a few caches. I made a point of getting an early start so as to beat the muggles that this weather would bring out. I was now well on my way home, but I was still chasing regular size caches to help me qualify for a challenge cache and so I stopped here. It was a quick find after I studied the grassy GZ for snakes on what was now a very warm morning.**Thank-you to mazza-g for placing this geocache**

Umm this wasn’t quite m my plans, but plans can change!

Young man is away for a few days and dad was hoping to obtain some rare Letterbox attributes before dawn …but

That was a bust, a hint got me past WP1 but no joy even getting to WP2, so …

Headed into the marshes for a third attempt at another nocturnal multi, to help with a different Whittlesea challenge, and …

Was distracted by a Traditional with a D/T rating that would help toward an AHomburg Challenge, howeve …

Left my tweezers in the car and couldn’t extract the sheet, so …

Headed on to the night multi, one foot splashed in the water and then I went to the wrong point rather than the right one to recommence my hunt, therefore …

When I got to the best spot the dark was receding and my poor torch couldn’t make out any fire-tacks. Therefore …

Jumped the road to attack another multi which eluded me last visit, and as I headed for my estimate of WP I was slowed and soaked by the mud and armpit-length grass, resulting …

In an undignified retreat toward car and work, however …

This quick and easy find was in my path - no probs making the find and signing the log!

Headed here after finding Chips
Plenty of wet grass and mud
Would have been ideal for the dirt bikes but none about late afternoon
Quick search and the cache was in hand
Log signed, and cache returned as found
All in good condition. Many thanx to mazza-g

A quick park and grab on the way home from work today.
Noisy trail bike riders nearly prevented me from finding the cache this afternoon, making for not such a peaceful experience.
Cache was found in great condition though and they didn’t see me!

Was in the area chasing a
Submarine- hadn’t found this one so turned it into a smiley. Deceptively hidden where I didn’t expect to find it.
But I did. Thanks mazza-g for the hide.

13-Mar-23
I regularly walk my dog in the park on the other side of the drain, no motor bikes today so we took a diversion and quickly had this one in hand. All good, tftc.

14-Feb-23
I found this cache after a walk along a very busy road, and hopping through some fences. I thought the log might be wet after all the rain we have had, but it was completely.

Access to this cache proved a little tricky. Fences, long wet grass and muddy tracks. At GZ the container was found quickly. A little drizzle was not helping. Thanks to mazza-g for the cache.

28-Jun-22
Pretty fun, just be careful of the fox hole Smile

25-Jun-22
Targeting missing 'month/year hidden' combos and this one came up on the map. Parked nearby with the aim of finding a few others in the parks around. TFTC!

22-Feb-22
Out and about this afternoon with PrezDough and dropped past here.
We initially went to the most obvious spot, but bright day and so much glare, couldn’t see into it.
We weren’t convinced we were looking in the right spot, so spread the search wider and sure enough the cache presented itself perfectly.
Soon had our names on the log and we were off home.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 5 TB.
TFTC.

Nice easy find on a Saturday afternoon outing, TFTC

Watch for snakes!! Out on a sunny day doing some caches. Have had this one in my sights for a while. After finding somewhere to park I took a short walk to GZ. I looked around for a while and spotted the cache. Cache in good condition, signed log book and returned the cache to it's little hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache here.

There were a couple of people in the park churning up the paths with their motor bikes.
I'm not sure that's allowed in this park, but I doubt it.
The cache was an easy find.

Went out for some fun after school & found this beauty where my phone led me. The kids were very excited as it was our first Trackable find. We have taken the Trackable - Uluru Sand Vial - which is a fantastic one by the way & and will re-hide into another suitable cache along our next adventures.
We left a painted rock that the kids painted in exchange for the Trackable.
Thank you mazza-g for this great cache

30-Jan-19
Lost count of the bunny's I startled on the way to find this cache. Once I found a way across the water the rest was easy. Good size cache found, Logged and re-hidden. Thanks mazza-g for the cache. TNLNSL. Kkams

Find #3958. Found @ 16:55 with The Good Lady Wife.

My self-appointed challenge for the year is to get 1000 finds for the year, and I've fallen behind in that. To get me closer, The Good Lady Wife and I made a couple of finds while out and about running errands.

We stopped at the recommended parking coordinates, and luckily could still access where we wanted to go, because there is a long barrier extending to the east of there. We walked along the canal and negotiated the fence when needed. I spotted the completely exposed container on approach to the target location and, after signing the log, returned it to the most logical location.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache mazza-g

Driving past today with a few minutes to spare. Walked into the are, found gz easily, and had the cache in hand in no time at all.

23-Sep-18
After attending a nearby event, I decided to take a small trip round and look for some caches in the area. Continuing on from Chips I wandered along and was soon here. There was a trail bike off in the distance but he soon sped off and I happily found the cache and added my name.

Thanks to mazza-g for placing this cache.

Out for the day with au.fait at the Winter Puzzle Solving event, we decided to brave the freezing conditions and gather a few caches on the way home.
A cold walk in to a beautiful area at the end of the day. Loved the scenery here, and would like to have longer to walk on some more. Thanks mazza-g

19-Aug-18
Out for the day with the lovely echidna44 where we spent most of the day puzzling over the puzzles at the Winter Puzzle event at Springvale South. A useful day even if when I left I was feeling still puzzled and a bit frazzled. After that we headed to Mordialloc to collect a few much more straightforward caches. This was in a lovely area which I would love to explore some more when there is both warmer weather and more daylight. Your nephew chose well TFTC mazza-g

12-May-18
Out for a night-caching adventure with [@Shhhlanksmk](http://coord.info/PRTEW6H), we decided to look for one more quick one before bed. I'd read the logs, and was a bit worried about what we might find there, but thankfully it was a quick and easy find. Well, quick and easy find after we stumble - tripped through the dark over rocks and branches that had somehow made themselves invisible in the gloom. Cache is still in great nick, and well disguised enough. Thanks for bringing us to this park, who would've thought they could fit so many geocaches in between all the factories around here!

12-May-18
Nice and easy find here..

02-May-18
Beong in the area for another cache I couldnt resist. Rather than watching the bunnies running around I should have walked towards them as thats were the cache was. Thanks to mazza-g for placing this cache.

28-Apr-18
At the CITO I told the CO that I was the only DNF for this one and she couldn't understand it. I drove down here after the CITO and neither could I! I have to say that that wasn't there last time! All was good in the end.

28-Apr-18
Another quick find after the nearby cito with the little ones. Tftc

09-Apr-18
Out and about tonight trying to push myself to reach my 1700th find after a busy day at uni today. So after driving around waterways for an hour hunting some rare pokemon on pokemon go. Sadly none of the desired ones I wanted were found but lucky for me it was my time to find some treasures in my other location based hobby.

Secind one done today and quickly found on the way back home

31-Jan-18
This one took far longer to find than it should have. The hide is not difficult, I was simply too busy looking in the wrong places to take a couple of steps in the right direction LOL. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache mazza-g.

20-Jan-18
Found on 20 Jan 2018 at 6:17 pm.
I had been really lazy all morning so this afternoon I headed out for a drive around to find a few caches in my 15km zone.

I parked in the suggested parking and wandered in to this one. This park is fairly clean. I was expecting a bit more undergrowth so on arrival at GZ the cache was found nice and quickly.
Thanks mazza-g for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

16-Dec-17
Came at sunset rabbits everywhere. Great location easy to find

05-Oct-17
Absolutely failed to find this one. Hopefully it was just me.

28-Sep-17
A great location indeed for a cache. The hide was discovered without problem. The log signed and all back safe again.

22-Sep-17
On my way to finding a proximate puzzle I decided to stop off and clear up the couple of trads which had popped up since my last visit to Woodlands. After parking on Governor Rd. I had a couple of fences to negotiate. Swings and roundabouts I guess given that there was easy entry from the ideal parking WP but a much longer walk.
After passing through the fences this was a quick find. Cache is in good condition and I think the geotrail between the hide and the nearest fence ought to minimise the chances of coming across a slithery friend. Thanks for the placement mazza-g.

19-Aug-17
Catching up with Happy pants and omegaman1971 to attend a nearby event and then to have a day out caching. A easy enough find at GZ.
Thanks mazza-g for placing the cache for us to find.

08-Feb-17
Heeded the advice on where to park, followed by a short stroll on a very hot afternoon for a quick find. TFTC

15-Jan-17
Well if you don't park at the parking co-ordinates because you think you can access it from Lakewood Bld you will make this much harder than necessary to get to Smile Still got it in the end and had a great walk in the process. TFTC mazza-g.

*12/12/16, Found @ 4:15 pm, Find # 6075.*

I had been saving this one for a day like today as I needed a find for today but didn't have time to venture too far from home.
On my way home from work, I was able to stop on the side of the road and take a short stroll to GZ.
After seeing all the commotion that went on for the FTF group, I wasn't sure what to expect at this one but when I arrived at GZ the cache was spotted quickly and easily retrieved.

**Thanks to mazza-g for placing this cache.**
