Logs
We continued today our tour of Queensland and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to Sweet-Sour for the generation of this nice cache High above the Burnett River (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Quick stop here and located a regular mint tin, nice view just behind a storm. Thanks for the cache.

I was on an incredible road trip adventure back to work and stumbled upon this drive-by cache. It was a perfect spot to take a quick break and stretch my legs. The coordinates were spot on, and the cache was cleverly hidden. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this here and adding a fun element to our journey!
On a slow trip out to Longreach for the QOGM 2023 event.
Cache found in the expected area, within a reasonable time, without difficulties.

Tftc Sweet-Sour, grass very long made the search take a bit longer. Found it after a systematic search.
A bit of a hunt in the long grass , but I eventually I found it . Couldn’t figure out how I kept dropping the log book until I realised there was a hole in both ends. TFTC.
Day 2 of the Reflection Road Trip to CQ with an early start to head out to do the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail (BBIRT) Bridges section between Gayndah and Mundubbera. Today's main targets are the BBIRT caches. In the 1980s I worked regularly in this district checking export citrus (oranges and mandarins) destined for world wide ports including Europe, Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Canada. I spent many a day on farms in the Mundubbera area and a few which border the rail corridor.
Today's ride was the chance to reflect on those days gone by as well as the number 42.
The morning ride to Mundubbera along the BBIRT was 33 km, Strava records 355 m elevation gain for the ride but I suspect a lot of that was on the rather large detour closer to Mundubbera plus a few up and downs at the bridge points.
The return journey to Mt Debatable starting point was 35 km by road with 405 m elevation gain. I certainly forgot about this huge hill.

At least the showers have eased. Found cache and log signed. A different style of honey jar. TFTC
Sorry late logging, found on 24/9/20 out adventuring with spooky salute teaching a newbie about caching, had saved to my offline list and forgot to log. Tftc
A quick stop to check out the view and create a smiley.

Nyssaflutterby, 1Minniemoo and I were on a road trip from north Brisbane to Munduberra and back via Kingaroy. We had a few planned caches and some extras along the way.
Nice quick find here between passing muggles. Great view!

10/7/21 Find #4882
Day two of our weekend Road Trip had NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co, and I starting the morning in Mundubbera before heading to Auburn and then beginning our journey back down to reach Kingaroy for the night.
Having enjoyed our time in Auburn, we began our return journey, heading back towards Gayndah. As the phone decided to take us down this road, we decided we should stop in here at the lookout for this cache.
After grabbing some photos of the scenery, we headed over and found the cache just after a truck flew past.
Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour.

This is a great view over the area. We travelled from Chinchilla to Mundubbera today. We came here a couple of years ago and planned to return. Then Covid hit and we were housebound. So nice to be on the road again. The cache was a quick find.
The place is picturesque. The cache SHRUNK, indeed, I'd call it a micro. But I still fit a handmade surprise inside and re-built the rock cairn. The cairn may fall because of the weather conditions, so search for a pile of rocks. Thanks.
Stopped here for smoko, enjoyed the beaut views AND found a cache. Thanks sweet - sour for placing. Cheers from Bindair Dundat.
Great cache. Thanks for arranging the hide and interesting placement. Our thanks to Sweet-Sour for placing this cache and enhancing our enjoyment of the area.
Heading back to Brisbane, I figured there must be a cache here. I stopped the car and sure enough there was.
I plodded toward GZ and found the prize. Hmmm.. this regular is now a micro by the looks? I signed the log and returned the cache to its home.
A great little excuse for a stop and a nice view. TFTC Sweet-Sour

Another great spot we probably would never have come to without Geocaching. Fabulous views. The road is better than we expected, not too steep or windy and very little traffic. Found the new container easily. Have taken some readings so will average the new coords when we get home.

We are on our way to Blackall QOGM, Kilkivan - Eidsvold
Continuing north we stopped were suitable with a caravan in tow.
Had lunch at Mudubbera before stopping for the night at RM Williams Centre.
The area at the lookout has been graded flat, no sign of a cache to be seen. We have replaced it at GZ. A couple of stones but not much of a cairn.
FP for magnificant views

As the CO, I think that it is highly unlikely that this is missing.
Could the next player please have a good search and if you still have a DNF you have my permission to replace it with a small container. It's a 500+km round trip for me.
It would appear that the local council has done some work in the area, then it is possibly gone
Thanks in advance

GZ is looking a bit bare. I think the hide might be in the pile of rubble at the bottom of the hill.
At least the new shelter is pretty nice...

This is the last day of a 14 day trip out to Barcaldine for the QOGM Event and on the way back to Brisbane. Found many caches and appreciate all CO's who placed them in their locations. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Day 15 of our road trip to the QOGM and return and today we head off from Mundubbera for Brisbane via Gympie. Thank you so much to all the COs who have placed caches along the highways and byways that we will travel over in the fourteen days we are away. Without your caches we would not see and/or learn about your local area.
The vies from this cache are lovely. Have added another rock to the cairn too. TFTC
I am traveling a very zigzag route to QOGM in Barcaldine. I have been unwell, so delayed the start of my trip by several days. Yesterday, I arrived in Gympie and spent the night there. Today, I am setting off for Eidsvold. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Stoped here one afternoon at sunset with burger in hand enjoyed the view. Cache was a Quick easy find Tftc
There was a really good view from this point but there is very little water in the river at this time. The cache hide was easy to spot and the container was quickly brought to light. Some swag was added tlo the cache and the log had our name noted as having visited here. Thanks go to Sweet-Sour for putting this cache out to reveal the view from this point.
Found and signed log while traveling around the country in our van.. beautiful views...TFTC
First stop on a caching trip to Gayndah. Nice to see some water in the river. I have seen it before as a river of dry sand. Picked up a TB that had been in residence too long. T4T $
Out for the morning, and thought we'd grab some caches as well. A nice quiet back road made for a relaxing drive.

My kids and I came to my parents farm at Binjour for Christmas. On a car trip for the day, my son mazza151, my daughter pinkypie05, my muggle parents and myself stopped to do this cache. This back road from Gayndah to Mundubbera has improved a lot since I was last on it about 25 years ago. I drove past one of my highschool friend's parents farm. Lovely views of the nearby farms from this cache. I took the two TBs. My daughter wanted me to take the Girl Guides one since she was in Girl Guides and my son wanted me to take the other one. TFTC and for bringing us here!
Easily spotted though knowing when to turn off was difficult. Took TB. Thanks forvthe interesting drive. TFTC.
Gotcha !!! Quick trip from Yeppoon to geodaughter in Glen Innes .Found time to do 20 caches and drive 750 Km today. TFTC
TFTC 2127# what a great river TN/LN out and about with miss millie geo dog
What to do today. I have been contemplating my navel for a couple of days now. Three up around the Gayndah and Eidsvold. I also have a new hide in Bargara where my original co ordinate are way off and need to visit the site to correct them. I also have a tree climb down near Kin Kin and also the The Emperor to visit. Oh well off for a drive. Left home at 0500 arrived home at 1715 and around 8900 Kilonmeters later. Appropriate walks and rest stops. Big sort of round journery from Nanango to Nanango.
Next one on this road fo the day. The number of times I have driven the Highway between Gayndah and Mundubberra and I have never been on this road. thanks for the different route and scenery. Approaching GZ and there was a really good spot to pull over and park. Short walk to GZ. Good views from up here if you walk a little way from GZ. Took traveller and left travellers. All good with this one. As is customary with this sort of CO's hide I have added another rock to the cairn. A signature Sweet_Sour rock cairn hide.
