Found this one during the day. I suspect the reflectors, being well weathered, may no longer work. Had a lot of fun with this one. Cache there however the house needed clearing out, which was simple to do Favourite point. TFTC
Day 2 in the park to sort the remaining caches with ABCDF4, cache found out of its hidie hole, obvious to much water washed it out, signed and returned.TFTC.
Thanks for the muilt after 2 days walking up and down hills and around the rocks
This was our last one
Awesome wee muilt and it is going to be our favourite

Out exploring Duders Regional Park today. Despite it certainly not being night, we decided to give this night cache a go. The reflectors are big enough to see each one from the previous location and we had little difficulty following the trail up. We did lose it briefly right at the end, as the final reflectors are placed differently to the rest. Thanks for the multi cache, and the exercise!

Well.... technically didn't find this at night... but hey, it's night somewhere...
Loved the final hide and container!

I made three trips over here before I got the final. The first time, I was just scouting out to see how to get to the posted coords. I expected to come back during at night to do the rest properly.
Someone mentioned that it was easy enough to find the fire racks in the daylight, so I returned and did find the trail up to the hint spot. Not finding the final, I tried to pick up the trail again across the big field and up by the fences. I left demoralized.
After getting a significant nudge from the CO telling me I didn't need to go as far as I did, I finally returned today and found the right spot.
Log paper is quite tender and needs a WITR log. TFTC.

I was out in the area for the CITO today. Really wonderful park, I spent the majority of the day walking up and down all the different hills to collect caches!
Thanks for all COs who put caches here!
Notes on this cache :
I brought my high powered torch to find this cache, in the end I didn’t need it, I spotted the excellent container before I got to the start!
Thanks!

Out and about today with some of the Team Seac crew trying to tidy up some of the green dots in Duders today.
Had a little nudge in the right direction (well it was all wrong to begin with but we got there eventually). Strolled up past the tacks and was rewarded with a really awesome cache.
Thanks for the cache - deserves a favourite point.

managed this in the light as part of team seac. pretty steep and uneven ground, but fun all the same.
Due to the covid 19 situation I will be disabling all my caches until we no longer have to self isolate. Anyone logging one after this date will have the log deleted. Stay safe.
Another impromptu trip for TeamBOP,. Only 3 of us today consisting of myself, Davidsonclan and McJandals.
Have been meaning to get up here for a while now, so glad to have finally visited this wonderful park.
Tackled this during the day and lucked upon it, but cache needs some serious maintenance like most of the caches around this park of this CO. This would be very difficult at night as we had to dig the cache out of its hole.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
Took a walk with part of Team SEAC. Great night out. Enjoyed the walk. The final was cute. Took us a while to find it as it was on a different eye level than the other markers
Found this a while ago. Just catching up on logging. Signed as Team SEAC. TFTC. . Favorite point for the cool door and idea.
Out for the evening with a few fellow Team SEAC members, on an excursion to find the nearby night cache.
Met up nearby and wandered down the beach by torchlight towards the starting point for the night cache. After finding a couple of trads along the way, it was time to get down to business!
There were a few muggles of the bovine variety who seemed quite confused as to what we were up to, as we picked a rather winding trail (in order to avoid the worst of the uneven patches) up the hill. Mr NewlynFam, who worked with cows in a lifetime long ago, tried to strike up a conversation once or twice, but they weren't buying (UncleSam calling them names like "Big Mac" probably didn't make them any friendlier! )
Eventually, with much laughter and friendly insults- as is always the way on our expeditions- we made our way up to the last marker we could see.... and then spent a fair bit of time trying to find the next one. Scanned all trees and likely spots to no avail.
Resorted to the PAF option, and got a good hint. Retraced our steps and suddenly, it jumped out at us!
Very cool final, and a fun cache to do. Happy to award a fave.
Thanks stevecoxnz!

A plan was made with some fellow cachers to attempt this cache. Following instructions in that cache description we parked at suitable location and started walking. Making our way to the start point we came across the local residents. Now dramas with them. Following the fire tacks was easy until it came time to find the final. This took a little while, a bit of searching and using the phone a friend option of a previous finder who gave some good advice. All is good with this cache. Found with Purply, Darthcacher1, Stik-A-Crane, Er-iot, Newlynfam and UncleSam. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. Definitely worth a favourite point. TFTC
A group of us found our way to the starting spot and began our way along the red dot path......up the hill of all places.....got a little way along when the trail went dead, so the group spread out trying to pick up the trail again, but with no luck......finally the PAF option was deployed and a vital piece of intel was obtained and the find was made swiftly......

Even though it was daytime we decided to look for this one to clear this side of the park. The legs had just come down hill and weren't too happy to go back up but didn't take too long to find. Very nice final and all in good condition. TFTC.
Anniversary weekend saw us head to Omana for a few days of camping and caching with KirsTim, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83. Today we headed to gather a few more of the caches we hadn't managed to pick up the last time we were at Duders Park. Reunited with vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 here, we decided to tackle this night cache in broad daylight, as well as the sweltering heat. Soon spotted a few of the firetacks and tried to follow them around before we noticed something that looked like it could be the resting place for the final. What a great wee hide, very cool! Always fun to try your hand at night caches in the day (even though we enjoy them at night too!) Thanks for the hide.
I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83, Kirstim and Vamber for another outing to Duder Regional Park to locate the rest of our unfound caches out there. It was a stinking hot day to be out walking in a fairly exposed park! Despite it being daylight, we decided to have a crack at this night cache and soon picked up on the trail of fire tacks, before eventually spotting the final hiding place of the cache... very nicely done! TFTC - favourite point added!
Anniversary weekend and we decided to copy last year and head back to Omana Regional park campsite with Vamber & Yorkshirekiwi83. Vistra joined us today but as we had different caches we set off with Vamber. After we met backup we set about trying this multi by daylight. Eventually caught sight of some tags and started to head in the right direction. What a cool hide, fave point here Signed the log as KKKTST. Thanks
KirsTim, Vamber and I (signed as varieties of KKKTS) were in the area for the the weekend camping at Omana, today we were joined by Vistra. We decided to give the multi a nudge in daylight and we were soon spotting what we needed once we had our eye in, then we happeened across the final, it wasnt what we expected but a fabulous job. Loved it. We covered some of the holes in the fields with sticks as well so they were at least obvious, some of those were deeper than waist deep. TFTC
What a day so far with TheMexican and evilno9. First we had some Deutsche Brezel's at the Farmers market, cleared out Duder's "again" and now performing some night geocaching. Made our way to the start to huff and puff all the way up to the final. What? No piggies house to blow over... Great night geocache. Signed as Team Brezel. TFTC
Nice and dark now after spending the better part of the day clearing out the other caches that a80 and I had accumulated since our last visit. Had done #1 earlier so was nicely warmed up and off we went. No dramas and a cool final to finish it all off. Nicely done - TFTC
2nd cache of the night and had to have a good look for the 3 end tacks.
Bird shouts from the darkness found it.

Whole cache container is missing I will replace asap. Thanks for the pics Beconaze.
We did this one the hard way by doing the night cache in the daytime and yes we did get the final as well. Unfortunately The logbook looks to have been washed away in the recent storm. We will log a maintenance request to the CO.
Logbook seems to have been washed away. We will send you some pictures by personal message.
What a tremedous hide (FP) we just admire the amount of work that CO puts into his caches - thank you.
Our last geocache in Duders today as the night gathered in, picked a good one to finished but boy by now we are tired! Made me work to get to the final - a shame geowife wouldn't make the trip to the last leg and then my camera phone memory was full so I couldn't grab a momento - curses. I had to explain it when I got back, not the same. Did me a good laugh though.
Hide like this definitely deserves a favourite point - well done - you've outdone yourself today for giving us entertainment. I'll sleep tonight.

Staying overnight here in the motorhome. Spent the afternoon collecting all sorts of great caches, and made it all the way out to the end of the peninsula which was cool.
Headed out after dinner to collect a couple more and just as it's getting dark made my way to the trail head.
With my new LED torch from jaycar, the pins were easy to spot and I quickly made my way to the GZ.
Brilliant idea for a cache and great fun to find, TFTC

Another year and the first trip for the team out and about while none of us had to work the following day. So todays little jaunt was to be up and arounf the Clevedon Maretai areas to see what we could get before sleep took hold of us. On this adventure in attenence were HKCB, iammrwalker and RWIMF. Departing Hamilton at 7pm after doing the pickups it was with high spirits and high expectations for another good caching year with plenty of miles to be covered before returning home tomorrow morning.
We hoped to get about 50 for the evening and my final taly was 57 finds along with 2 DNF's, not bad for a bunch of beginners.
What a great start, soon started to get into the swing of things and before long we were coolkng with gas.
RWIMF's first proper night cache so we let her take point adn lead the way. We just provided some encouragement along the way and before long the cache was in her hands
THanks to all the cache owners whom placed the caches for us to find this evening. Am sure that we will be back again soon to continue our travels

At a recent local Geocaching event I mentioned in passing it had been a while seen we had done any night missions and maybe we could head out for a few hours one evening once the kids were tucked up in bed. Somehow that evolved into me jumping into a car with Cats&Dragons, HKCB and RWIMF at 7pm on the 29th and hopping out of the car eleven hours later at 6am on the 30th. We signed the cache logs RICH an acronym of Geocaching names. I didn’t get as many finds as the others as I crashed and fell asleep in the car for a couple of hours sometime between 3 and 4am. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining all the geocaches we found on our trip and for my companions for making the evening so enjoyable.
This was RWIMK's first 'proper' night cache so we made sure she was the one to discover the final. The placement of the final was cool and I appreciated the theme. Gets a favorite point from me.

I received a phone call about 2pm asking what I was doing in the evening. I said nothing, so the boys said "come caching!" So we did, leving Hamilton at 7pm to spend the evening picking up caches. This was my No12 of the evening. All logs signed RICH.
I like this cache! Very cute!
As this was my first night cache ever the boys let me have signing honours, even though (like normal) they beat me up the hill! Wish I felt a bit more confident doing these things in the dark. 2 of the boys ran off to do a another cache close by, while the rest of us (who have been to this park before) headed back to the car

It's been a while since we have done a night mission, so with a few ideas thrown about we settled on heading to the Beachlands/Maraetai area for a bit of a clean out and to locate the two night caches in the area. The team consisted of RWIMF, iammrwalker, Cats&Dragons and myself (HKCB), which meant we signed the logs as RICH an accornym of our caching names.
Leavng home about 7pm we cached through the night, with the goal to reach my 7000th find, unfortunately the late night counting wasn't accurate enough which meant I was 1 short of that goal, but still 67 finds for the night wasn't a bad effort. We all had a great night, and found a handful of really good geocaches as well. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.
A very cool night cache, loved the final container. Well done for finding a gap in Duder.

What better way to end a great day out caching than to knock off this amazing night cache. We had to dig deep into our reserves to climb up the hills here after walking 20 odd kms around Omana and Maraerai earlier. However, the cache container and location made it all worthwhile. Thanks stevecoxnz for this spectacular cache. You have earned many FP from me, with this being my ultimate fav for the day.
The first of 2 night caches tonight. Never have I done 2 in a row, so that's a first right there. Rebel98, rustynz, Aiden29, merlot58, supernanny, jag50 and myself =8 mad nutters still caching after more than 10 hours! So much fun, although, I suspect we are all tired by now, but not wanting to finish caching until we are actually finished! Boy, oh boy, this hill is steep! Just getting to the start of the multi was hard enough, then with super bright torches that rusty and Rebel had, the fire tacks had no show of staying invisible! Up and up and up and up we went, I thought I was going to lose oxygen I was so high up (yea right). But really I was huffing and puffing when finally rusty yelled out: "found it". We sure did find it, no doubting that alright. What a great way to have the cache! It's not even hidden really! You have some great ideas Steve, keep it up mate, but I'm sure you will have to eventually expand your area of cache hides though, Duders is full, where next? Omana?
Thanks for the fun cache, we really all liked it even though we're all tired.

Wow....two night caches in a row....after our long eventful caching day at Omana and Maraetai !
Quite a walk to get to this ...
But soooo worth it in the end !
Very amazing presentation at the final !
Thanks stevecoxnz....
You are a legend !

Having been out at Maraetai all day (13 plus hours) and having walked over 22 km we were starting to get tired but we were determined to do this night cache. We knew that we had to park outside the park gate so that we were not locked in for the night. So this added to our distance walked. Found our way quickly to the start of the fire tack trail. Underfoot was challenging as the terrain was steep and uneven and getting the right angle between torch and fire tack was an art. Those new high powered torches are in fact too powerful for this type of cache totally overwhelming the fire tacks so we relied much more on the lower light torches. Quickly found our way to the final. No , what's up up Doc is not a question of the Department of Conservation. What a giggle. Who was the bunny who thought that. Great cache . Lot's of fun and well themed for the park. Very cute. A favourite from us. Signed in as team H.
After a big day out attending an event, and then continuing on to collect some Maraetai caches, 8 members of Team H decided we needed to do the 2 night caches in the area. So we parked up at the entrance and headed in to find the start. There was a lovely full moon tonight so we could see our way along the track easily enough until we needed to start up the hill. After having been out for 12 hours and already walked over 20k I was feeling tired and finding the up hill slog a bit of a challenge, especially as my torch battery decided it was going to die! (Note to self, make sure the battery has enough charge before heading out for the next night cache!) Thankfully RustyNZ and Rebel98 had some high powered torches which lit up the path we needed to take and as I was still making my way up the last 10m I heard Rusty call out she'd found the cache. And a very, very cool cache it was too, well worth that struggle up the hill, Steve, you've picked up a few FP's off me today, and here's another one!
More adventures with rebel98, Aiden29, merlot58, gorby, supernanny and jag50. We have waited until the sun went down, the stars shine bright, the moon sparkle and shimmer in a surreal light.
A few of us had dropped behind, as we found a couple of caches along the way (sorry no time to find all of them!). The advance group waited patiently for us at the trail head, and as we merged it, we clambered up the steep hill towards an unknown place?
Following the glow, leading the way to hidden places, the final GZ revealed itself, a magical site, full of wonder and awe
Another fun cache by the CO, thanks for making this a awesome day of finding caches.

Out with TW & TF tackling this cache. Hot on the trail & after a nice wander came up with the smiley. The nice camo provided a laugh. Log is fairly damp. TFTMC
Out and about with Trout-fly and avoyager to clean up the Duder caches since our last visit. Managed to locate them all and a great day to be out before the bad weather came in. All logs signed TF, TW, AV or RW, TF, AV or AV, TW, TF or something like that. Many thanks for all the caches we found today. Very cool final and appreciate the effort that went into this.
Out and about with AV and TW to finish off what we started some months ago, which was to find all the Duders caches. Started early, so had no worries with the weather and had a pleasant stroll around the park collecting caches. Logs signed mostly with initials TF, AV & TW. Brought the torches etc, but didnt need them at mid-day. Thanks.
Wow! What an amazing cache!! My first night cache and what a great one! Loved every bit of this adventure and found all the pins quickly without too much trouble, the cache itself was so well done! Mr 6 really enjoyed this night time adventure too! Thanks do much for putting so much effort to make this cache so amazing! Gets a fav point from me.
Well after my initial Find Log to follow the actual log has taken quiet some time to get done due to huge work commitments lately.
Had been needing an FTF to continue our monthly streak when this one was released. The weather wasn't the greatest but this was close and knowing stevecoxNZ caches it was certainly worth a shot and the added bonus it was dark so excellent timing for a night cache.
As it was after hours I had to park the car at the gate and make the long walk down the driveway. Luckily it was warm and hardly any wind so just wet.
Got myself to the starting point and searched for the first sparkling marker which was found easily. I continued on my way following each marker. It was a bit of a tough walk but the markers were evenly spaced and easy to spot.
Then they weren't!!!!!
I looked and I looked but for the life me couldn't find the next marker. I retraced a couple of steps and ended up at the same place but still couldnt find the next marker. I was contemplating ringing the CO when I spied it!!!!
A very clever and well constructed hide!!!!!!
As it was still raining as I extracted the log it became wet. My pen then wouldn't write on the log paper. As I was 25 odd minutes walk from the car I WASN'T going to go back and then coming back again with another pen in this weather.
In my attempts to get the pen to work the ball of the pen came off THIS thankfully meant that the ink was available to write on the log. I had to use one large page but managed to scribe FTF and NZT and date. PHEW
Put everything back and made my way back to the car.
A GREAT adventure for a very well deserved (FTF)
Also get a favorite point for the work involved in the finals construction.
